Purpose of the job

 

ENGIE’s C3NTINEL Platform enables forward thinking organizations to achieve ambitious, complex energy management objectives. As a Software Test Engineer you will be responsible for the effective execution of quality assurance processes within the team, including test script development, functional test execution, and bug tracking. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand the system under test, ensuring adequate test coverage via manual and automated methods to minimize the risk of production bugs.

  • Design and Execution of Test Cases: Develop comprehensive test cases and suites that cover all aspects of the software’s functionality, ensuring alignment with user requirements and system specifications.

Education/Experience:

  • Formal education in computer science, software engineering, or similar field.
  • Proven work experience as a software test engineer.

  • Experience working with popular operating systems including Windows and Linux.

Basware Technical Expert (F/M)

Base in Courbevoie (la Défense)

 

Basware is a SaaS software solution, specialized in managing invoices and payment processes for businesses. The software publisher also wants to offer services linked to electronic invoicing (Partner Dematerialization Platform, according to French DGFIP criteria).

The Technical Expert will be responsible for providing support and technical expertise for the implementation, configuration and maintenance of Basware at Engie.

 

Engie is working on the implementation of a Group solution for the digitization of incoming invoices, compliant with the requirements of the French Tax Administration for French entities and capable of responding to the local regulatory specificities of other Engie entities.

This project is also part of a broad program to harmonize solutions (especially the ERP systems present in the Group) and improve work processes, called GET (Global Enterprise Transformation).

 

The person who will occupy this position of Basware Technical Expertise Consultant will therefore have to work on a demanding project governed by calendar constraints (French electronic invoicing reform) and closely monitored by stakeholders (Engie Financial Department & beneficiary entities).

 

 

Content of the mission:

- Participation in projects to implement the Basware solution (incoming invoicing) for ENGIE entities, in order to master the information/contacts/specificities of each entity.

- Provide in-depth technical expertise on the Basware platform.

- Ensure the proper functioning and stability of Basware by carrying out tests, analyzes and resolution of technical problems.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure the stability of Basware.

- Document technical procedures, configurations and problem resolutions for future use.

Experiență, calificări, cunoștințe și abilități:

  • Absolvent de liceu cu profil energetic, electrotehnic, electromecanic, instalații, cu specializare lucrător calificat energetic, electrician, electronist, electromecanic, electrician în construcții;
  • Absolvent liceu alt profil, dar care a absolvit un curs postliceal de calificare în domeniul energetic, electrotehnic, electromecanic, sau al instalațiilor electrice pentru construcții;
  • Experiență minimum 1 an în poziții similare;
  • Certificate/atestate/diplome care să ateste competențe în domeniu;
  • Cunoașterea regulamentelor, normelor, normativelor tehnice în vigoare, a procedurilor și instrucțiunilor de lucru;
  • Autorizație ANRE – grad. IIB;

Context:

The department that handles all the IT, Digital and Data requirements for GEMS (Global Energy Management & Sales) is called EC IS (Expertise Center Information Systems). Funciones principales

 

  • Desarrollo de estrategias de mantenimiento dentro del área mecánica, garantizando los estándares de seguridad, calidad y coste.
  • Ser responsable de la realización de las actividades de mantenimiento y las inspecciones periódicas en los sistemas mecánicos de la planta velando por el cumplimiento de las normas de seguridad, garantizando los periodos de entregas.
  • Organizar y hacer un seguimiento de las actividades realizadas por contratistas en el área mecánica buscando el cumplimientos de los objetivos marcados previamente. 
  • Hacer propuestas encaminadas a la mejorar de la seguridad, los procesos, la economía y la disponibilidad de la planta.
  • Llevar a cabo el análisis de recambios para garantizar la disponibilidad.
  • Desarrollo, control y ejecución de proyectos enfocados a dar solución a la obsolescencia de elementos mecánicos en planta.
  • Dar cobertura a los correctivos de urgencia que sucedan en la planta para garantizar su disponibilidad en el área mecánica.
  • Cubrir la posición del retén mecánico en función del cuadrante establecido.

Perfil profesional

 

  • Título de técnico superior en mecánica/mecatrónica o experiencia demostrable en el campo de actuación del puesto.
  • Diez años de experiencia en el mantenimiento de plantas de generación de energía, metalúrgica, naval o industria de fabricación pesada.
  • Conocimiento de plantas de generación de energía térmicas es deseable
  • Tener sólidos conocimientos y experiencia demostrable en mantenimiento de equipos mecánicos tales como bombas varias, su alineación y lubricación, válvulas, filtros, quemadores, calderas, maquinas rotativas, sellos mecánicos, etc.
  • Valorable inglés medio, hablado y escrito.

What You Can Expect

As our Electrical Engineer Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the utility scale operations group by acting as a technical leader, providing mentorship for junior engineers, ensuring the safe operation of the facilities, and collaborating across multiple disciples by participating in design reviews. In this position you will manage the electrical design of battery-based energy storage systems and thorough understanding of BESS architecture including rack, module, container and plant-level controls. You will be expected to prepare site acceptance test (SAT) and integration test plan for BESS systems. Technical review of documents provided by vendors. This position will be based out of the Houston, TX office and will be supporting assets in both US and Canada.

 

  • Provide mentorship for Junior Engineers in technical matters relating to the operation of BESS and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with various groups within the organization on technical matters and represent the Operations function in the various stages of the project design including review of drawings and studies.
  • Perform complex engineering/design calculations specific to discipline (equipment sizing, load flow, short circuit, Arc flash, grounding, etc.)
  • Interface with various system operators including ERCOT, PJM, SPP and MISO on technical issues including those related to operations planning and modelling.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of commissioning, maintenance, and standard operating procedures.
  • Review maintenance records and recommend corrective actions to ensure reliability and compliance with the applicable NERC standards.
  • Develop structured feedback sessions for all lessons learned with the project team to include misoperations, root cause analysis (Six-sigma, DMAIC, fish-bone), and safety-related events

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and utility experience
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ of experience of directly relevant engineering experience working on energy storage systems
  • Basic knowledge of SCADA networks and protocols such as MODBUS, DNP3, and any proprietary SCADA protocols.
  • Working knowledge of battery chemistries and their impact on overall BESS system design
  • Knowledge of engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy with a minimum of three (3) days working in office
  • Must be available to travel domestically  up to 20% of the time
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record use of company vehicle, ability to drive to site locations

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Scope of the missions:

 

Drafting and negotiation of M&A transactions in France both buy-side and sell-side (NBO, BO, SPA, put and call agreement etc. ) from due diligence phase to post-closing;
Implementation and monitoring of partnerships: drafting and negotiation of shareholders agreement;
Drafting and negotiation of complex commercial contracts, such as non-recourse financings, including legal follow-up of financing agreements (waiver, security package, etc.);
Review of PPAs (for all geographies, not only France);
Participation in cross-functional issues related to the governance of the companies, etc.;
Supporting operational teams and management in their decision-making by identifying and assessing legal risks and making proposals and recommendations

What You Can Expect

We are currently looking to pipeline Project Management Director level candidates for future projects, you will lead the development on of Green Hydrogen projects in the North America from feasibility to start of construction. Every day you will be responsible for management of assigned projects, leadership and oversight of all disciplines (engineering disciplines, Health Safety Environmental (HSE), permitting and regulatory compliance, procurement, construction management, contracting, project control), management of contractors (front end engineering design (FEED), permitting, surveys), oversight of Engineering Procurement Construction scope, strategy and contracts development, selection of Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contractors, early procurement/contracting, management of internal interfaces within Development team and other Business Units, management of external interfaces with development partners, driving the project through development stages towards final investment decision (FID) and ensuring its overall viability.

 

  • Drive Green Hydrogen projects from initiation up to Final Investment Decision and handover to the Execution team
  • Provide leadership and ensure top performance in all areas of the project (engineering, Health Safety Environmental (HSE), permitting, regulatory compliance, procurement, construction management, project control, contracting)
  • Develop and manage all aspects of the project (scope, execution plan, resourcing, budget, schedule, risks, quality, interfaces)
  • Use your knowledge of Green Hydrogen (or related industries) to steer development of the project, keep the team focused and executives well informed
  • Use your extensive Project Management and Engineering experience to establish effective management process, systems and tools; Develop and own the Project Management Plan with all its elements
  • Engage internal and external teams and partners, align early and continuously, and manage  proactively any interfaces and risks (alignment sessions, project reviews, Value Improvement Practices, lessons learnt)
  • Proactively define the need, identify & mobilize resources, and manage progress on the technical deliverables for the various phases of the project
  • Work with Development/Finance team to accurately provide technical, production and costing inputs into project financial models
  • Lead the definition of the project’s procurement and contracting strategy, and management of the project’s procurement activities (tender documents, tendering, negotiation, contracting and invoicing)
  • Lead the definition of contracting and execution strategy, TIC estimates and master scheduling, negotiation of Engineering Procurement Construction (M) and engineering/consulting contracts; support negotiations of the Supply, Offtake or other type of contracts
  • Prepare and coordinate the technical hand-over to the Project Delivery team at project final investment decision  
  • Structure and budget the operation and maintenance of the project, inclusive of staffing and mobilization plan, interfaces with Operations & Maintenance vendor, Operations & Maintenance  agreements, KPIs, pricing structure and carry out other duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in engineering, execution and Project Management developing large greenfield process plants (Hydrogen, Ammonia, Methanol, Refining)
  • Experience throughout project lifecycle – from Front End Loading to Engineering Procurement Construction
  • Significant experience in cost/schedule control, budgeting, procurement
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Primavera P6, Procore
  • Professional Engineer license and PMP certification
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present to large audiences and external stakeholders
