What You Can Expect

As a Wind Technician II, you will operate and maintain the site, optimizing wind generation performance while prioritizing health, safety, and environmental compliance. You will actively participate in the safety program, ensuring all team members and contractors adhere to safety procedures and job safety analyses.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Communicating and enforcing site safety rules through orientations, JSAs, and meetings, while overseeing daily work and coordinating with service providers and contractors
  • Operating and monitoring site equipment, maintaining high standards for equipment reliability and efficiency, and conducting routine inspections
  • Managing contractors, serving as the primary contact for landowners, and coordinating on-site work, including maintaining the site in a clean and neat condition
  • Troubleshoot and recommend  improvements to plant performance, supporting operations at other sites during emergencies, and using Root Cause Failure Analysis techniques to solve problems
  • You will also ensure confidentiality, comply with legal obligations, and support wind and solar assets for planned and forced outages, which may require overnight stays

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum High school diploma
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience and knowledge of Solar generation, Wind generation, Thermal power, Manufacturing or Mining operations, or Controls & Industrial Maintenance where you have working knowledge of industrial electrical or substation equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors
  • Must have or be willing to obtain certification as substation technician within twelve (12) months of hire date

 

Additional Details

  • This is a field position requiring regular travel to client site(s)

What You Can Expect

As the Wind and Solar Area Manager, you bear the responsibility for overseeing total employment, training, schedules, safety, and the day-to-day financial operations of four (4) Wind generation and Solar project sites. Your managerial role extends to leading a team comprising six (6) direct reports.  In your capacity as the head of safety, it is imperative to ensure that all permits and reports are current, valid, and in compliance with both federal and state regulatory agencies. You will be tasked with the management of vendors, subcontractors, maintenance, budgets, and consultants, coordinating efforts with third parties. You will also be responsible for managing and reporting on Profit and Loss responsibility for regional performance.

 

You manage all areas of responsibility in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, environmental requirements, company policies and procedures, the company’s annual operations plan, legal and contractual requirements, and good wind and solar industry practices. Additionally, you take all necessary actions to protect the facility’s operating permits, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

 

Utilizing systems like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), you will monitor daily asset performance and regulatory compliance to meet standards set by organizations such as the National Electrical Reliability Council (NERC). Your responsibilities involve utilizing various computer-based systems, ensuring the timely update and maintenance of all documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional management may be necessary to provide reports on the status, progress, and development of various projects on-sites.

 

  • You will need to provide technical and management support for the design and operations of the solar sites
  • Must be willing to attain substation technician certification within 12 months of hire date
  • Carries out all responsibilities under environmental legislation to prevent environmental spills

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Technical diploma/high school diploma and seven (7) years’ experience in a related industry where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership, management, communication, organizational, operational and prioritization skills

As the Wind Engineer II, you will support in depth resource assessment, preliminary layout design and optimization services for grid scale wind projects in the United States and Canada. What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is required
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role with grid-scale wind resource assessment and preliminary layout design
  • Experience with commercially available and proprietary tools (e.g., Openwind) for estimating and optimizing wind facilities
  • Knowledge and experience in development and construction of power generation and storage assets in the United States
  • Must be able to interpret production studies and use that information to advise on business development projects and activities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, especially when interacting with outside stakeholders such as government agencies and local communities is an essential part of the role

ENGIE North America is hiring a Solar Technician for our Solar Site located near Goliad, TX.  

 

As a Solar Technician, your daily responsibilities begin with accessing tasks via SCADA, Maximo, or various SAP software systems and repairing, troubleshooting, and fulfilling technical repair work orders for solar panels. You will manage documentation, update parts inventory, and as well as submit on-site status reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, and initiate work orders for equipment repairs.

 

  • Coordination of high voltage switching activities with local utilities and independent system operators (ISO), which includes tasks like substation operations, equipment lockouts and grounding
  • Adhere to safety protocols such as conducting Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety meetings
  • While you will primarily work independently on-site, there will always be a nearby technician for safety support; the site's team comprises of a site manager, a Balance of Plant technician, and the solar technician
  • You will also be a part of an on-call rotation for outages and emergencies; therefore, you must reside within 50 miles of the site

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum two (2) years diploma in a technical program where you have learned Alternating Current (AC) / Direct Current (DC) electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors

The Title Director, Renewable Development will manage the title curative efforts for mid- and late-stage renewable, wind, and solar energy projects within the legal team, supporting project development and financing efforts.   • Landowner Outreach: Oversee landowner negotiations to assist with site control tasks, and work with the legal team to draft title curative related agreements or other documents
  • Implement Title Curative Efforts: Organize and execute title curative efforts through the close of title insurance policies, including preparing, coordinating, and tracking the execution of title curative documents and agreements required for closing

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in which you have learned commercial principles, commercial law, contract management, real estate, or renewable energy development
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience, including management, supervision, or director-level roles, with at least five (5) years in real estate and title insurance, emphasizing commercial renewable energy title insurance transactions

  • Proven experience in managing complex real estate title insurance matters, including review, analysis, and resolution of title exceptions and requirements identified in title commitments and title policies

  • Project Execution and Coordination: Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders for smooth operations. Conduct regular site inspections and attend progress meetings
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Enforce a strong safety culture, identify, and mitigate hazards, and work with the HSE team on risk assessments and environmental procedures. Perform daily site walks and manage safety documentation
  • Team Leadership and Management: Supervise on-site teams, conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and mentor site personnel to foster a collaborative work environment
  • Scheduling and Cost Management: Assist in developing project schedules, monitor expenditures, control costs, and provide real-time updates on key activities. Collaborate with senior management to forecast needs and implement corrective actions
  • Quality Control: Ensure construction activities meet design specifications and quality standards. Conduct quality inspections, resolve non-conformities, and document progress and milestones
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main on-site contact, provide regular updates to senior leadership, and address community concerns as needed

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of technical training and/or related construction management experience

  • 10 years related construction experience or project management
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and PROCORE
  • Experience with renewable energy technologies (Wind, Solar, Storage, Renewables) and industry-specific standards with hands on experience with tooling and equipment
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental regulations, and OSHA 30, other relevant certifications are a plus
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience with renewable energy technologies and industry-specific standards with hands on experience with tooling and equipment

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily/weekly/rotation basis
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 75% of the time and with the need for overnight trips
  • U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record, for the use of fleet cars, personal and or hire cars when traveling, to drive to site locations and meetings
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
  • Must be physically able to conduct site visits and walk renewable energy sites for extended periods of time in hot or cold weather conditions to complete job assignments

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

What You Can Expect

This Environmental Development and Permitting Intern role is an opportunity to work with a Global Leader in Renewables Development. The Environmental Intern will work to support ENGIE’s Development Pipeline in North America and help to ensure that Projects are following best management practices (BMPs) to minimize environmental impacts and maximize biodiversity value of commercial-scale Renewables Projects.

 

In this role the Intern will support biodiversity studies, surveys, and micro siting efforts to minimize wildlife and wetland impacts, and support the Advisor on compliance obligations, preparing development projects for construction-stage efforts, and support the pursuit of federal and state permits where necessary. The Intern will have the opportunity to coordinate with a variety of cross-functional teams, including Legal, Land Use, and Engineering obligations.

 

  • Complete assigned training and follow all ENGIE safety procedures (9 Life Saving Rules)
  • Attend and participate in internal and external meetings, and site visits to wind and/or solar sites
  • Communicate using email, TEAMS meetings and phone calls
  • Review renewable environmental plans, surveys, and Best Management Practices (BMPs) documentation

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Currently enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate program, or in the 1st or 2nd year of a graduate program, in law, engineering, environmental science, or biology at an accredited college or university
