Job Overview

 

The Fleet Officer Intern will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing a company’s fleet of vehicles. The fleet Officer Intern will handle all queries related to our Motor Cycle and Vehicles that are raised in our fleet system, maintains records of maintenances for the vehicles and Motor Cycles, ensuring that safety standards for operating vehicles meet the ENGIE standards as per transport policy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and manage the overarching strategic direction, priorities and focus areas for sales commercial (sales, marketing, and business development), cascading and ensuring alignment throughout EEA-K.
  • Maintenance and Oversight: The Fleet Officer ensures that the vehicles or vessels are properly maintained in accordance with regulations. They use their knowledge of maritime law (for vessels) or transportation regulations (for vehicles) to ensure safe navigation and operation.
  • Organizing and Controlling: They organize, control, and direct the activities related to the fleet. This includes scheduling maintenance, repairs, and replacements as needed.
  • Budget Management: The Fleet Officer manages the budget for vehicle repairs, replacements, and other related expenses.
  • Driver/Vessel Operator Training: They ensure that drivers or vessel operators receive proper training to uphold safe operating standards.
  • Licensure and Registration: Managing vehicle licensure and registration is also part of their responsibilities.
  • Efficient Routes and Schedules: They establish efficient routes and transportation schedules for the fleet.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitoring drivers (or vessel operators) to ensure adherence to schedules and safe driving practices. Additionally, they provide reports to management on budgeting, maintenance, and fleet progress.
  • New Driver/Vessel Operator Recruitment: Searching for, hiring, and training new drivers or vessel operators.
  • Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement: Developing methods to decrease costs and improve overall fleet efficiency.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in handling fleet operations management.
  • 5 years of driving experience (driving licence must be upto date).
  • Problem-Solving thinking outside the box and quickly solving problems related to fleet operations.
  • Hardworking with a sense of responsibilty. 
  • Innovative Thinking, ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions is valuable.
  • Attention to Detail: small details can prevent issues and improve fleet performance.
  • Proficiency of GPS tracking system.
  • Experience in Motor Mechanics is an added advantage.

 

Qualification

  • Certificate/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Automative Engineering

  • English

What You Can Expect

Our intern located at the University of Iowa campus in Iowa city will be learning how to safely treat drinking water at our Grade IV Water Treatment facility where we treat both surface and ground sourced water. The intern will learn to  perform clarification and lime softening methods and will  also utilize reverse osmosis and activated carbon treatment processes. The minimum certification required to independently operate the University of Iowa Water Plant is a Class II Water Operator Certification. The student employment program at the Water Plant will be aimed toward helping students achieve a Water Operator Certification.  As part of your training  you will learn how to properly test water, and to understand the results.  You will also learn the regulatory basis for water quality requirements, and effluent / by-product disposal requirements.

 

Every Day you will learn new tasks in our treatment process. You will take samples and learn to adjust chemicals (automated) based on  the chemical properties of the water. You will be monitoring SCADA screens and learning how the plant is supposed to operate. As well as troubleshooting equipment, while conducting walk-throughs of the plant checking on equipment and logging  testing results and findings from making your rounds.

 

We are very flexible during the school year you can come in and train during any of our operating shifts. to gain hours and operational experience.  You will work rotating shifts on assigned weekends ( we operate three shifts).

Compensation

Salary Range:  $20.00 – $32.00 USD hourly

Job         Purpose/Mission 

 

 As an Archiving Officer Intern, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization, preservation, and retrieval of records and documents within our archives. You will play a crucial role in   maintaining the integrity of company records and ensuring that they are accessible to those who require them.

 

              Responsibilities: -

  • Record Management: Manage the organization's records and documents according to established archival standards and procedures.
  • Documentation Preservation: Ensure the preservation and conservation of historical records, including paper documents, photographs, digital files, and other media.

Our Distribution Intern, based at the University of Iowa campus, will collaborate closely with our Distribution staff. The Distribution Group oversees the maintenance of various systems, including cabling, network controls, metering, piping, pumping, substations, tunnels, and vaults that collectively form the distribution systems. The intern will play a vital role in tasks related to material inventory tracking and installed inventory, utilizing a range of computer programs.

 

We are actively seeking an intern available for 15-20 hours per week during the semester, with the potential for additional hours during summer or school breaks. Our operational hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, and we offer flexibility within this timeframe for start and end times.

 

On a daily basis, you will collaborate with our Distribution Planner, participating in diverse tasks such as data analysis, modeling, and making recommendations for enhancing system designs, operational procedures, preventative maintenance programs, purchasing, and record-keeping systems. The role is adaptable, allowing for customization of internship tasks and projects based on your current level of experience or intended specialization. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in engineering and project coordination.

 

Internship Objectives:

  • Learn to independently identify maintenance needs in distribution systems and contact the Distribution Planner to develop corrective work orders
  • Efficiently develop analyses of distribution systems across campus, and maintain results
  • Learn how to document and track distribution performance and maintenance needs

Situering en probleemstelling :

Op de kerncentrale worden veiligheidskleppen getest en ingesteld aan de hand van een testbank op lucht. Een algemene testopstelling om afsluiters te testen op doorlaten en/of om een druktest uit te voeren, is er niet.

Doelstellingen :

Het doel van dit eindwerk bestaat erin om een testbank te ontwikkelen waarmee mecaniciens op éénvoudige wijze afsluiters kunnen testen. Hierbij moet gebruik gemaakt worden van de bestaande test mogelijkheden voor veiligheidskleppen en het moet kunnen dienen voor de meeste van de geïnstalleerde afsluiters.

De testbank zal moeten bestaan uit een opspanmechanisme waarbij verschillende types afsluiters (verschillende afmetingen) moeten kunnen vastgeklemd worden.
