YOUR CHALLENGE as a Project Manager Deployment Electric Mobility

 

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end deployment of public and semi-public DC charging infrastructure across Belgium—from contract signature to commissioning.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead projects through planning, permitting, procurement, and execution, ensuring seamless deployment
  • Ensure success by delivering projects on time, within budget, and to scope, while managing risks and maintaining high safety standards
  • Coordinate stakeholders including site owners, grid operators, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Drive problem-solving, proactively identifying and resolving challenges while optimizing costs
  • Support Business Development, providing technical expertise in pre-sales and project selection
  • Enhance digital tools, improving project tracking and efficiency
  • Collaborate internationally, sharing insights and best practices with ENGIE teams across Europe

 

 

  • es planning, permitting, procurement/contracting, execution/deployment, commissioning and overall project management.
  • You are responsible for the safe, on-time, on-budget and on-scope delivery of the projects as well as for the diligent follow-up of the projects in ENGIE Vianeo digital project management tools.

YOUR PROFILE as a Project Manager Deployment Electric Mobility

 

  • Master (preferably in a technical field) or equivalent level of acquired expertise
  • Project Management: Strong background in technical deployment or infrastructure projects, with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
  • EV Charging Knowledge: Experience in EV charging technologies, deployment, and CPO platforms is a plus
  • Languages: Bilingual NL/FR; good English proficiency is a plus
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Problem-Solving & Ownership: Proactive, autonomous, and detail-oriented, with a customer-focused mindset

Your mission   

As a CAD Designer in our Ports and Waterways department you will contribute to our mission everyday by playing a crucial role in the day to day designing of our projects and cooperating with our engineers in order to bring our designs up to the Tractebel standard our clients are used to! 

  

 

Your key responsibilities     

  • You are responsible for the execution of Revit/BIM modelling for our marine infrastructure projects 
  • You are responsible for reinforcement modelling in marine and infrastructure projects
  • You assist the project engineer in dimensioning marine infrastructure projects following current Belgian and European standards, legislation, codes of practice and internal guidelines.
  • Prepare designs (preliminary, basis, tender, detailed) for marine structures such as Port & waterways development studies: Port Master planning, locks, Quay walls, Jetties, Bridge foundations, Flooding areas, dikes, Breakwaters and perform analyses to find the optimum installation method of these structures; always with an open mind for innovative and alternative solutions. 
  • You are reporting to the project leader and your team manager
  • You develop your technical skills (BIM, Revit, Autocad…) 
  • You carry out design throughout the execution of our marine infrastructure projects

  

We would love to hear from people with   

  • A specific interest in applying the relevant design codes and guidelines for the structural design and soil-structure interaction of offshore substructures or other marine infrastructure
  • Experience of designing and drafting marine infrastructure works in 3D drafting software (Revit)
  • Experience in designing concrete reinforcement in complex 3D structures.
  • Knowledge of Design Standards (ISO, EC, NEN, EAU, …)
  • Knowledge of standards for Building Consent (omgevingsvergunning) in Flanders (Belgium) is an asset 
  • Expertise of BIM/ CAD software (3D)  (Revit, Autocad,…)
  • Experience in the following software is a plus Civil 3D, BIM360
  • Knowledge of standard computer programs including spreadsheets and word processing.
  • A Bachelor in Civil Engineering or bachelor in engineering technologies or have 3 years relevant experience

YOUR CHALLENGE as a Process Optimisation Manager 

  • You supervise the collection, processing, and analysis of data from our network of green energy-powered electric vehicle charging stations in Belgium, as well as market data.
  • You coordinate the development and implementation of optimization strategies based on in-depth data analyses to improve the selection, availability rate, and economic performance of our charging sites.
  • You support ENGIE Laborelec experts in evaluating and developing innovative technology solutions focused on optimization.
  • You monitor and evaluate the performance of optimized processes.
  • You are part of a human scale team, supporting commercial and technical divisions, and reporting to the Head of Performance of Vianeo Belgium.
  • You clearly and impactfully share the quantitative results of your optimization work with the team and management, both orally and in writing.

YOUR PROFILE as a Process Optimisation Manager 

  • You hold a degree in engineering, computer science, operations management, economics, or a master’s in a related field, with a strong interest in electric mobility and its technologies. Initial experience in optimization within the electric mobility sector is an asset.
  • You are passionate about improving financial and operational performance through data analysis and are familiar with analysis and visualization tools such as Python and Power BI.
  • You are results-oriented and take initiative to achieve defined performance objectives, with particular attention to the users of our services.
  • You adapt quickly, with a strong desire to learn and develop.
  • You have good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present analyses clearly and concisely, at least in English and French (proficiency in Dutch is an asset).
  • You work easily in a team and are agile in collaborating with commercial and technical teams.
  • You are capable of coordinating multi-month projects, including leading, motivating, and supporting a project team of 1 to 5 contributors, with good resource and deadline management.

Role:

 

As a Deputy Manager/Manager Electrical, you will be working in Renewable Energy (Solar/Wind) Power Projects under the project manager for the initial few periods prior to work independently as the project manager.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Must have good knowledge of solar power plant designing concepts i.e DC side as well as AC side
  • Must be able to provide support in pre bid engineering, Owners Engineering (Review of Design Documents) and Detailed engineering design.
  • Must have knowledge and experience in developing General Arrangement Layout of PV Plant, cable routing, earthing, Lightning protection, lighting, Main Control Room, Inverter Station etc.
  • Must have experience and knowledge in all electrical calculation and studies i.e. cable sizing, earthing, battery sizing etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in Electrical system studies Short circuit, Load flow, relay setting and coordination etc. is preferable
  • Must have knowledge of all relevant standards and guidelines i.e. IS, IEC, IEEE, International Guidelines, Guidelines issued by CEA, CERC, MNRE etc.
  • Experience in independently preparing Techno-commercial feasibility study, Detailed Project Report, Resource assessment and Energy Yield Assessment for Solar PV projects
  • Experience to carry out energy yield for solar plants independently using simulation software such as PV SYST, SAM, etc will be an added advantage
  • Experience of working in wind power projects and basic knowledge of storage concepts will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, power point presentation Creating documents, writing reports according to specifications
  • Capable to conduct research and traveling to sites.
  • Time management and professionalism.
  • A growth mindset and willingness to accept criticism

You will work on various National and International projects requiring technical skills in the following areas:

  • Solar / Wind/ Hybrid/ Storage Projects

Design Documentation: Take ownership of preparing essential design documentation, including Design Criteria, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), system descriptions, sizing calculations, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), tender evaluations, and vendor engineering for equipment and systems used in combined cycle power plants.
  5. Vendor Coordination: Collaborate effectively with equipment vendors, ensuring that the specified components meet the required standards and specifications.
  6. Standards and Guidelines: Apply your extensive knowledge of international standards such as ASME, HEI, ASME-TDP, API, and HIS to ensure that all design work complies with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  7. Communication: Possess excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders. Effectively convey technical concepts and recommendations both verbally and in writing.
  8. Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, sharing knowledge and experience to foster professional growth within the team.

 

Other Requirements & Expectations:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 10-18 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record in combined cycle power plant design.
  • In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems and various types of pumps used in combined cycle power plants.
  • Strong familiarity with international standards such as ASME, HEI, ASME-TDP, API, and HIS.
  • Proven experience in conducting feasibility studies and preparing detailed project reports.
  • Expertise in main plant basic and detail design for combined cycle power plants is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in preparing design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, system descriptions, sizing calculations, RFPs, and vendor evaluations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
  • Previous experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
