Your function

  • Design of HV OHLs to meet client specifications and expectations.
  • Participate in the implementation of projects, ensuring compliance with technical regulations and laws.
  • Share expertise and knowledge with project teams to enhance project outcomes.
  • Utilize design software tools, primarily Autocad 2D, and PLS Tower.
  • Ensure adherence to design norms and regulations throughout project phases.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project teams to ensure project goals are met.

Candidate’s profile

  • Bachelor´s degree in the field of Engineering .
  • In-depth knowledge of HV OHLs.
  • Familiarity with HV substation design.
  • Proficiency in design software tools, especially Autocad 2D and PLS Tower.
  • Strong understanding of design norms and regulations.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is an added advantage.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality design work.

Mission

  • You manage engineering activities for energy projects, with priority for power generation and renewable projects.
  • You plan and monitor the evolution of the allocated projects.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the budget, the timing, and the quality of the engineering works are realized as required. You will make sure that the projects assigned to you will be elaborated in accordance to our quality system and our H&S rules.

Profile

  • You are a qualified Engineer, holding a Master’s degree as a minimum, preferably in power engineering.
  • You have at least 10 years of relevant project management with engineering projects, preferably for power generation, renewables.
  • Qualification in Project Management (PMP) certificate is an advantage.
  • Experience in using specialized software for generation technology or equivalent is an advantage.
  • You have excellent organizational skills, you are a problem solver.
  • An excellent use of MSOffice package is required.
  • A good knowledge of English is a must.
  • You have good reporting skills.
  • You have good communication skills, orally and written.
  • You are a team player.
  • You are client-oriented and flexible.
  • You are willing to make international trips for our international collaboration and international projects.

  • This is a senior technical role at the intersection of infrastructure, reliability and software delivery. It entails ensuring seamless operations, enhancing system reliability and accelerating software deployment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, automating processes and driving continuous improvement are expected.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design, deploy and maintain robust infrastructure components leveraging infrastructure as code (i.e. Terraform) in the provisioning and management of resources where appropriate
  • Optimize infrastructure resource allocation, scalability and fault tolerance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • Azure/AWS Certifications preferred
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in Information Technology
    • At least 7 years of systems engineering, software engineering or DevOps engineering experience
    • Advanced knowledge and expertise in DevOps practices
    • Advanced experience using infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Git, Chef, Puppet, and Ansible
    • Advanced experience with vulnerability scanners and remediation.
    • Expert with cloud services (AWS or Azure)
    • Advance experience with containerization
    • Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory
    • Advance experience with VMWare, Enterprise Class Servers and Storage
    • Experience with ISO/SSAE16/NIST or equivalent compliance is preferred
    • Advanced knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, VLANs, managed switches and routers
    • Familiarity with ITIL framework

Descripción del cargo:

 

• Desarrollar diseños, especificaciones y/o estudios de ingeniería propios de las disciplinas CIVIL y ESTRUCTURAL.

• Colaborar con equipos de ingenieros y arquitectos en la ejecución de un proyecto o estudio.

• Coordinar y/o dirigir a equipos de proyectistas y dibujantes en la ejecución de un proyecto o estudio.

• Actuar como “Ejecutor” y eventualmente como “Revisor” en procesos de ingeniería generales, y como “Diseñador” y “Revisor” en procesos de elaboración de planos.

• Colaborar en la definición e implementación de normas, procedimientos y estándares técnicos propios de las disciplinas CIVIL y ESTRUCTURAL.

• Participar en el desarrollo de la ingeniería del dueño durante la construcción de un proyecto según sea requerido a las disciplinas CIVIL y ESTRUCTURAL.

 

RESPONSABILIDADES ESPECÍFICAS:

• Diseño CIVIL y ESTRUCTURAL de proyectos de infraestructura, edificios industriales, planta de generación, líneas y subestaciones eléctricas, etc.

• Coordinar y dirigir a equipos de proyectistas y dibujantes en la elaboración de planos del proyecto y/o de una parte de obra.

• Eventualmente revisar diseños realizados por pares, asegurando calidad técnica de éstos, revisando memorias de cálculo y planos correspondientes.

• Coordinar con equipos de otras disciplinas, principalmente de las disciplinas eléctrica, mecánica y procesos.

• Preparar Especificaciones Técnicas Generales y Particulares de movimiento de tierras, obras de hormigón y estructuras metálicas, entre otras.

 

Requisitos:

• Ingeniero Civil Estructural.

• 8 años de experiencia profesional total, abarcando aspectos asociados a movimientos de tierra, diseño de hormigón armado y diseño de estructuras metálicas.

• Experiencia demostrable mínima de 4 años en proyectos de líneas y subestaciones.

• Manejo de software de diseño estructural, tales como SAP2000, STAAD PRO y TOWER.

• Manejo de software de dibujo AUTOCAD y conocimientos de REVIT.

• Inglés intermedio
