Purpose of the Job

 

As the Engineer, you will have first-hand experience On-site Utility (OSU) assets . It’s a full involvement from project taking handover from testing & commissioning into the Operations team. You will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. From exploring innovative solutions to overcoming obstacles along the way, you'll be at the forefront of driving project to success.

Reporting to the Portfolio performance Manager - GCC, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the assets. In this role, you need to work closely with various stakeholders (both internal and external) to ensure that the assets are maintained in line with OEM maintenance manuals and delivered successfully.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Operate and Maintain Heat Recovery Boilers, Turbine and associated auxiliaries, Chillers plants and PV Roof-top
  • Work collaboratively with Portfolio performance Manager - GCC and support the delivery of the Operations and Maintenance of Engie assets.
  • Responsible for delivery of operations and maintenance in a safe manner within performance criteria;
  • Ensure Health, Safety & Environment are maintained in line with Engie’s and client policies.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of maintenance with the client.
  • Participate during Testing and commissioning of the plant
  • Ensure maintenance of assets are carried out on time and of high quality and meet OEM and industry standards;
  • Ensure management & supervision of daily site activities;
  • Manage and support Engie’s subcontractors;
  • Ensure that the subcontractors complete their maintenance activities on time;
  • Provide site progress reports and other status updates to management;
  • Manage maintenance Schedule
  • Ensure all activities are logged in CAFM
  • Spares management
  • Warranty Management
  • Provide technical advice to your team to improve their performance.
  • Performance management of all Engineering Maintenance Services.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly workload plans for the facility.
  • Analyze audit reports submitted by your subordinates and translate them into action plans.
  • Develop and monitor service level key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure all services are carried out to customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize the helpdesk facility to evaluate business performance and provide recommendations for continuous  improvement.
  • Ensure the company quality assurance and health and safety procedures are implemented effectively.
  • Represent the company at regular meetings with the client and other authorities as directed.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Ideal but not essential in Mechanical (preferred Electrotechnical)

 

 

Experience

JOB PURPOSE

Manage the complete cycle of Sub-contracts, Float-out RFQ / RFP, negotiate effectively to obtain the best proposals for services in both aspects of Technical and Commercial terms for O&M PPMs. Legal contexts are to be finalized. Support Operations with SC agreements which are placed on time. Ensure the Procurement Policy procedures and Green procurement policy are practiced.  Obtain the best money value for services and material. Procurement activities as and required.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to company's QHSE procedures and cascade down in the supply chain where needed.
  • Adhere to company's code of conduct and ethics policy.
  • Manage the complete cycle of Sub-contract agreements, RFP/RFPs and Proposal evaluations work closely with Business development team, Finance and Site Managers
  • Ensure the development and monitoring of supplier and Sub-contractor base with Supplier Pre-qualification, registration and evaluations, supplier categorization.
  • Minimize the service providers by grouping and category management, long term fix prices.
  • Work with Procurement Manager on Category Management, spent analysis and establish FWAs.
  • Ensure to get highest value proposition through supply chain through effective negotiations and long-term contracts.
  • Coordinate with Legal Dept.  
  • Coordinate with ERP service provider as and when required and for system enhancements.
  • Monitor Purchase Requisitions and ensure a high Turn Around Time (TAT) over 95% in 3 days
  • Reduce Sub-contract agreement Turn Around Time (TAT)
  • Manage Fixed Asset PR and raise POs for Cap-ex ensuring company's Cap-ex procurement policy is followed as and when required
  • Effective price, payment terms and conditions negotiations for services and material  
  • Ensure all the documents and trackers are up to date 100% at any given time and DOA's are followed
  • Support the Internal (IMS) and External audit processes.
  • Monitor and track Special payment terms but aim to reduce the advanced payments. Ensure a security is in place for any advanced payments over AED 10,000.00. Target zero petty cash spend.
  • Carry out risk analysis and take every possible measure to mitigate the risk in supply chain.
  • Follow Green procurement procedures and support the company's zero carbon pledge
  • Work in close coordination with Finance dept.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Good knowledge in standard procurement policies, procedures and best practices and contract management.

Job Purpose:

     The Data Center Facilities BMS/DCIM Operator is responsible to supervise and control the operation of the building management system (BMS) & Data Center infrastructure Management (DCIM) System and monitor all Electrical, ELV, and fire/life safety equipment, HVAC plant activities of the Data center building services within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operates and maintains Building Management System (BMS) for proper function and monitors the DCIM against approved benchmarks to include; HVAC, Lighting, Fire Suppression, Generator, Plumbing, and Electrical
  • Carry out routine checks for correct operation of all control equipment as directed by Facility Engineer
  • Monitor the operation of the HVAC control systems using the BMS/DCIM to monitor performance.
  • Adjust variables and provide adjustment as required to ensure systems are operating correctly within parameters
  • Monitor and record values of HVAC systems to build up a database of records to provide data for energy efficiency improvement.
  • Communicate all maintenance and repair actions in writing for information to management as required.

  • Create the Job cards in CAFM (FSI) Mobile App as per Site requirements and close the Job cards which Engineer assigns.
  • Responding promptly and efficiently to emergencies calls.
  • Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, Electrical systems, ELV system, fire/life safety, and other systems.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements
  • Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required
  • Attend training sessions and seminars.
  • Other assigned tasks as requested.
