The working environment

Our corporate Human Resources Department guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, products, policies and programs to the global Tractebel organization.

 

Your function

Reporting to the International Mobility Manager, you are part of a team in charge of compliance, governance and operations for all matters relating to international assignments and cross-border work situations for Tractebel worldwide.

 

This implies that:

  • You are involved in shaping and implementing global mobility strategies aligned with organizational objectives, supporting talent management and driving business growth.
  • You demonstrate due diligence and ensure that the international assignment complies with local and international social, legal and tax regulations as well as Tractebel’s own processes
  • You are in constant communication with the assignee and work closely together with the Engie group internal expatriation cell to ensure the good execution of the international assignments offering support, advice and solutions whenever necessary for immigration, relocation, move, payroll and tax matters;
  • You analyze upfront the contractual set-up possibilities for new international assignments (advisory) with the relevant stakeholders and conduct research on tax issues affecting international assignees
  • You instruct, prepare and review cost calculations for international missions and liaise with business managers and/or sales teams for transposition into commercial bids
  • You partner with internal stakeholders, including HR business partners, finance, legal, and tax teams, to address complex mobility challenges and deliver effective solutions.
  • You instruct and review the expat payroll implementation in the home and host country and are the first point of contact for the payroll agency
  • You ensure coordination of the recurrent performance cycles for the assignees
  • You stay abreast of market trends, industry benchmarks, and regulatory changes and recommend adjustments and enhancements to the company policies and processes and support the International Mobility Manager to implement changes globally
  • You will work closely together with external service providers to deliver high-quality and cost-effective solutions and manage escalations by assignees or vendors

Your profile

 

  • You have a master’s degree and minimum 10 years of professional experience in international mobility management or compensation and benefits management within a large multinational corporation or one of the major consultancy firms.
  • You have a solid understanding of global compensation practices, including executive compensation and international mobility programs
  • You have expertise in designing, implementing and managing mobility programs
  • You have good knowledge of all aspects of international taxation. Knowledge of social security legislation in Belgium, France, Germany and/or UK is an asset.
  • You are customer oriented and proactive
  • You have an excellent command of office tools (MS Office 365) and you have in particular advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables)
  • You have a strong analytical mind-set, you are accurate and rigorous;
  • You are ‘solutions’ oriented, prepared to take initiatives, and are able to think out of the box to find practical solutions in alignment with company policies
  • You actively engage in assigned operational tasks

As a member of the “QA/QC” section you will ensure that Vendors of Tractebel and/or its Clients deliver and install their products with the highest level of quality to ensure nuclear safety at all times. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the full supply chain in a practical and industrial environment and this in an international setting. You will work in close collaboration with your colleagues within the mechanical expertise domain (contract owners) and project managers.

You will be mainly in charge of the following activities:

  • Examination and approval of the Contractor technical manufacturing and installation files of various mechanical equipment (steel forgings, steel structures, rotating equipment such as valves and pumps, heat exchangers, piping, …).  You will verify from a quality control point of view the conformity of the fabrication documents to be in line with technical specifications and the governing construction codes and standards. You will typically intervene during review and approval of material purchase specifications, non-destructive examination procedures, welding procedures, heat treatment procedures, special manufacturing procedures. Knowledge of one of the following codes & standards is an asset : ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (section II, section III (nuclear related), section V, section VIII , section IX, ASME B31.1, ASME B16.34, …), PED, RCCM, ESPN, ....
  • Conducting quality control missions during manufacturing and installation of mechanical equipment. You will assess the conformity of the fabrication and progress during inspection missions at manufacturer's premises, site installation activities (Energy production facility sites such as but not limited to Nuclear Power Plants). You will verify that the goods are meeting the requirements set forth in the technical and upfront approved technical and quality assurance documentation.
  • Examination and approval of fabrication quality plans (PQP, ITP, …) in consolidation with the contract owner. You will be able to use your knowledge of industrial manufacturing process to define the quality surveillance strategy. Provide technical feedback in terms of the acceptance of non-conformities encountered during manufacturing without comprising the final quality of the product.
  • Issue inspection reports following the templates of Tractebel or its Client. You will inform the contract owner or report directly to the project manager of the outcome of your missions.
  • Support the organization with quality control expertise and become quality control lead in support of the contract owner on one or multiple projects. Within this role you will be in charge for overlooking Tractebel’s project quality organisation, developing specific methodologies and tools for the quality experts involved in the project (specific reporting, checklists, …), ensuring lessons learned are captured and implemented, verifying the content of inspection reports as to follow-up on related actions with the contract owner, assisting the QA/QC team group manager with staffing requests and organization (depending on the project scale).

YOUR PROFILE

  • Mechanical / Electromechanical engineer with min. 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes of mechanical equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves, pumps, …)
  • Experience in a product quality control environment with knowledge of destructive and non-destructive examination techniques (base materials and welds) is considered an advantage;
  • Good organizational and coordination skills;
  • Able to work with limited supervision;
  • Eager to work in an international context for short and long missions;
  • Eager to participate in the expansion of activities of the nuclear market;

The Project Development Senior Advisor will manage and grow a regional portfolio of pre-construction utility-scale renewable energy projects within ENGIE’s development pipeline in the U.S. and Canada. Every day you will support regional development strategy for utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects. Manage development activities of utility-scale wind, solar and storage projects from feasibility to the start of construction and evaluate viability of early stage and acquisition projects. Engage with staff to coordinate energy assessment, environmental, permitting, transmission interconnection, land acquisition, and design activities.

 

  • Support energy offtake, financing, and project M&A discussions, including due diligence activities
  • Ensure projects are progressing on schedule and within budget
  • Obtain local project permits and tax agreements
  • Select, manage, and direct third party consultants and review their reports
  • Engage with landowners and stakeholders to provide information throughout the development process
  • Review project pro forma financial models
  • Conduct site visits to define site characteristics and develop relationships with local stakeholders
  • Remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities in the United States and the national industry trends impacting the future of wind and renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in which you have completed courses in Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental, or Economics

  • Minimum 10 years of project development experience in renewable energy utility-scale projects (Wind/Solar/Storage) with the ability to navigate permitting processes and community involvement

As a Director, you will be part of the Engie Impact Strategy and Implementation leadership team. This role focuses on providing support to our clients who are working to accelerate their transition to zero emission across a variety of capabilities. As a Green Fuels Practice Lead, you will the driving force behind both our regional Green Fuels growth and global cooperation through spearheading a robust commercialization and go-to-market strategy, crafting relevant offerings, and fostering collaboration within the Engie. Leading a talented team, this executive is responsible for developing a Go-to-market (GTM) strategy that is aligned with ENGIE Impact’s Sector/Practice model, not only driving RE specific strategies, but also ensuring deep collaboration with the multiple sectors to strengthen our overall decarbonization value proposition to clients

 

As a Director, you will help grow the business and leverage our network, vision and knowledge of Engie solutions shaping strategic orientations of its entity. We are seeking to grow our team with leaders who are equally passionate about achieving short-term real world impact and building the business structures to realize that objective.

 

This position requires strong project-delivery and client-facing experience, as well as a solid background in business development, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership. Professional experience in strategy advisory is critical, with special emphasis on green fuels, hydrogen, clean tech, technology, client markets, business models, policies and regulations.

 

Specifically, you will:

  • Lead the Americas Green Fuels Practice Area (PA) to drive regional growth and profitability
  • Directly manage senior staff to ensure complete and high-quality project deliverables to clients
  • Oversee the development and preparation of high-quality client-facing proposals, materials and deliverables across multiple workstreams; Design comprehensive solutions which ensure margin and deliverability
  • Ensure regional growth of Americas customer segment (solution design and implementation) through a strong go-to-market strategy and development of relevant offerings and thought leadership leveraging sales and marketing enablement
  • Lead expert analysis of client solutions to develop unique insights
  • Drive business development through strong collaboration with our commercial teams and other leaders throughout our global organization
  • Develop and manage shadow P&L of the Americas Green Fuels practice
  • Help establish business process designs internally and across the ENGIE organization

Build strong delivery networks and partnerships

The pay range for this role is: $171,0000-254,000.

The listed salary range represents ENGIE’s good faith estimate and is based on a wide range of factors, including candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, qualifications, seniority, and location. This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Experience

  • Demonstrated passion for sustainability, green fuels, renewables, clean energy, and combating the global climate crisis
  • 10+ years of demonstrated professional experience; a minimum of five years of client-facing project delivery experience focusing on Scope 1 and green fuel challenges (e.g., with a competitive management consulting firm, a leading energy transition consulting organization or similar experience)
  • Graduate degree in business, applied sciences, engineering, environment or sustainability with a stellar record of academic achievement preferred; Bachelor’s degree required
  • Business development experience related to consulting and project delivery; Industrial, Manufacturing, Consumer Packaged Goods sector experience preferred
  • Superb consulting skillset – slide and report writing; issue-based problem solving; structured thinking and communication; translating data to insights; collaborative teaming and facilitation; competitive strategy and financial analysis

Mission

  • You manage engineering activities for energy projects, with priority for power generation and renewable projects.
  • You plan and monitor the evolution of the allocated projects.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the budget, the timing, and the quality of the engineering works are realized as required. You will make sure that the projects assigned to you will be elaborated in accordance to our quality system and our H&S rules.
  • You manage efficiently the project deviations and scope variation.

  • Experience in using specialized software for generation technology or equivalent is an advantage.

Experiență, calificări, cunoștințe și abilități:

 

  • Studii tehnice superioare finalizate;
