AIFA Financial Advisor / Project Finance Analyst

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform valuation and financial analysis/modelling for investments/divestments in compliance with AIFA methodologies;

  • Lead the AIFA workstream for the assigned projects: due diligence, debt raising, negotiations

  • Advise on risk allocation, appropriate mitigation factors and contingencies, hedging strategy, bankability issues, optimization & tax structuring;

  • Prepare and present files for investment decision, including relevant sensitivity analysis ;

  • Establish projects’ impacts on financing and accounting at local and ENGIE Group level ;

  • Actively support the commercial process by providing timely insights and advice on the economics and financials of commercial opportunities;

  • Support the capital structuring on projects and recommend best financing strategy (based on in depth knowledge of the current banking market, capital markets, ECAs and other sources of funds);

  • Support the structuring, negotiation and execution of project financing and equity transactions;

  • Maintain market intelligence, screen opportunities, monitor and assess competitors’ approach to financing/funding projects;

  • Handle non-project related AIFA activities (e.g. annual impairment tests, lookbacks, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Degree / Experience

  • Finance / Economics based degree or a professional qualification such as CFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) or technical qualification/degree (e.g. engineering).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (preferably within a sponsor-side AIFA / project finance team or within a bank, financial advisory firm and/or accounting/fiscal advisory firm);
  • More than 2 years of experience in a lead role; experience in planning and managing processes
  • Proven experience and demonstrable competency with complex financial modelling (including debt modelling)
  • Advanced proficiency in excel (incl. understanding and use of basic Macros)
  • Experience in supporting the financing efforts for a bid (and/or support a project to financial close) preferable
  • Demonstrable prior experience of project financing for power projects in RSA, including: REIPPP, RMIPPP, ESIPPP, and private procurement bidding and financial close processes; or any other country in Africa would be a valuable experience for the role

    Role Overview:

     

    The Digital Workplace Analyst will provide remote and on-site assistance to IT service users, acting as the main point of contact for managing digital workplace incidents and service requests.     What You Can Expect

    As the IT/OT Cybersecurity Advisor in Houston, Texas, for ENGIE North America (ENA), you will be responsible for managing third-party risks, overseeing crisis management and IT Disaster Recovery Plan (ITDRP) exercises, and leading overall project management of IT and OT cybersecurity projects.     Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of ENA, your duties will include:

     

    • Assess and manage cybersecurity risks associated with third-party vendors and partners
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
    • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to ensure third-party contracts include appropriate security requirements
    • Serve as the primary point of contact during cybersecurity incidents
    • Lead the response to cybersecurity incidents and crises
    • Develop and maintain incident response plans, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, conduct post-incident reviews, and implement lessons learned to improve future responses
    • Plan, execute, and evaluate IT/OT Disaster Recovery Plan exercises to ensure the organization's preparedness for potential disruptions
    • Coordinate with internal business units to ensure alignment and readiness
    • Prepare and present reports on IT/OT cybersecurity activities, risks, and incidents to CISO and executive leaders
    • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of cybersecurity initiatives

    What You’ll Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field; candidates with an Associate degree and eight (8) years of relevant cybersecurity experience, or a minimum High School Diploma / GED equivalent and ten (10) years of relevant cybersecurity experience, will also be considered
    • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on third-party risk management, crisis management, and project management
    • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, including network security, encryption, and firewalls
    • Familiarity with various cybersecurity frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls
    • Ability to manage and secure IT systems, including servers, databases, and cloud environments

    Compensation

    Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually

     

    This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

    What You’ll Bring

    • You will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
    • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience with various accounting methodologies including IFRS, US GAAP and HLBV for tax reporting, tax planning, research, for federal and state tax as well as direct and indirect compliance.
    • You are CPA certified or equivalent international certifications including Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
    • You have experience in domestic inbound Merger & Acquisition due diligence and integration, and structuring transactions

    • You will build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
    • You will coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments.
    • You will analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that the project team adheres to project requirements and objectives.
    • You will establish and maintain relationships with appropriate internal clients, stakeholders, and third parties, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
    • You will establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects.
    • You will monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs.
    • You will report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed, escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.
    • You will continuously collaborate with IT Management to identify project interdependencies/impact on other ongoing projects from the PMO Portfolio, with proactive escalation of project risks and implementation of necessary actions to avoid interproject collisions.
    • You will evaluate ENGIE business processes and requirements, anticipate requirements, and uncover areas for improvement.
    • You will conduct meetings to collect and analyze business requirements and user needs.
    • You will gather and analyze preliminary requirements that reflect the business strategy and short/long-term business objectives, providing detailed insights aligned with the IT architecture structured under Feasibility Study, RFI, RFP, and Tender Book comprehensive documentation.

     

    Desired education, expertise, and skills:

    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the fields of computer science or equivalent;
    • 5+ years Project Management working experience in the Information Technology area;
    • Project Management and MS Project Professional Courses (certification is an advantage);
    • Solid technical background, with understanding of the IT systems implementation and development processes (working experience with SAP Business Warehouse, SAP ERP or SAP IS-U projects is an advantage);
    • Advanced user of Microsoft Office;
    • Independent user of English and Romanian languages (B1 - read, write, speak);
    • Good analytical skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking skills;
    • Excellent communication, presentation and coordination skills; analytical thinking, positive & CAN-DO attitude;
    • Ability to collect and analyze client requirements and transfer the proper information to technical team;
    • Ability to define, implement and update project plans in accordance with the business needs throughout project start up, execution and completion, in alignment with company vision.
