What You Can Expect

As our Senior Health and Safety Advisor you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Health and Safety programs for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team, partnering with other Business Entities and Operating Companies’ and Health and Safety (H&S) staff to influence an organizational culture that leads to an injury free working environment. Every day you will support safety excellence through engaging with plant staff and leadership, incident review, safety trend tracking, and providing training and guidance. You will report to the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) & IPOS Director and assist in development and implementation of a H&S Management System that encompasses standards of excellence, programs, policies, procedures and processes for ENGIE Energy Solutions (ES) North America.

 

  • Manage H&S databases and provides required monthly statistical reports to ENGIE NA Business Unit (BU) corporate and Business Entity (BE) executives.  Tracks the performance and progress of ENGIE Renewables and Services action plans, programs and processes
  • Conduct regular onsite safety support, training, guidance, compliance audits, incident investigations, and safety cultural assessments
  • Lead all serious incident investigations that result in a medical treated injuries and lost time accident.  Applies Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) tools when conducting investigations to determine causal factors.  Identifies countermeasures to prevent recurrence and eliminate deviations from the standard
  • Provide guidance and acts as a role model for Renewables H&S full time professionals, plant managers, front line supervisors and general foremen in the effective implementation of the 4Ps
  • Design the ENA H&S Management System in accordance with the ISO 18001 standard. Ensures conformance to the standard results in compliance to the regulation. Researches new or revised OSHA (US) / OH&S Act (Canada) regulatory requirements.  Anticipates changes and updates the 4Ps as required with follow on training for effective implementation
  • Validate safety requirements of third-party H&S auditors, consultants and contractors
  • Implement a communication strategy that promotes leadership engagement between management, front line supervisors, foremen, technician / craft personnel and contractors to create a culture where H&S is a principle and not a priority
  • Implement an observation program that focuses on pre-job/task activities.  Ensures the Job Safety Plan process permeates down to the granularity of the specific task assigned
  • Benchmark the current state of power generation, O&M service and construction-oriented safe work procedures against a “Best in Class” standard.  Orchestrates plans to close identified gaps in coordination with ENGIE NA BE H&S staff
  • Coordinate reviews on contractor safety plans and procedures to assure their standard is equal or more stringent than ENGIE NA’s safety criteria as stipulated in the procurement Terms & Conditions

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Associates Degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or Business, certifications in OSHA Safety and Certified Safety Professional
  • A minimum ten (10) years’ Safety Management; with three (3) of those years’ experience in thermal power generation and energy distribution preferred
  • Subject matter expert in OSHA (US) CFR 29 Parts 1910 / 1926
  • You have experience with root cause failure analysis (RCFA) tools and their application for recordable events. You are adept at leading serious incident investigations into High Potential (HiPo) incidents, including those resulting in a lost time accident
  • Experience with behavioral science and the psychology behind influencing change
  • Experience in commercial and industrial construction environments
  • You have experience working in environments with  thermal power generation and energy distribution plants, new construction solar and battery storage sites, facility O&M management, and the HVAC mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) contractors in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) construction fields
  • You feel confident in supporting H&S database management and provides required monthly statistical reports to ES NorAm Business Unit (BU) corporate and Business Entity (BE) executives
  • As our Senior Health and Safety Advisor you will conduct regular onsite training, supervision, compliance audits, incident investigations, and safety cultural assessments

Additional Details

  • This is a field position requiring regular travel to operational  sites
  • This role requires daily attendance at a worksite

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

What You Can Expect

As our Project Management Advisor (PM), you will be responsible for the overall management of the design, construction, and commissioning of distributed-scale solar and energy storage projects. In this role, you will oversee construction and commissioning work performed by subcontractors and collaborate with our internal Technical Services, Development, Procurement, Operations, Asset Management, and Finance Departments, as well as our 3rd Party Owner’s Engineer(s) and other consultants to ensure the project's successful design and execution. Additionally, you should have a background in managing large, complex construction projects.   • Oversee and advance projects from construction through Project Closeout to handover to O&M/Asset Management, managing multiple construction and pre-construction projects simultaneously
  • Conduct weekly meetings for design reviews, coordination with local utility operators, site coordination, and project updates, while tracking contractual requirements and deliverables for all project contracts
  • Manage construction contracts, invoices, change order requests, submittals, and RFIs, and assist with bid evaluation, contract negotiations, and contract execution
  • Support project financing activities, including preparing responses to technical and construction-focused questions from the investor’s Independent Engineers, and managing project schedules and updates

Job Purpose: Mission

ENGIE Energy Access Benin is looking for a dynamic and reliable Inventory Manager with excellent record-keeping abilities to take on a self-contributor role in a rapidly growing company at the front lines of renewable energy and mobile payment technology.

 

Under the direction of the Head of Operations, the incumbent is responsible for minimizing stock losses by implementing stock control (inventory, documentation of movements) and stock management policies (storage conditions, access control, etc.). He or she ensures that adequate stock is available at all points of sale operated by the company.

 

S/he ensures that relevant members of the warehouse, customer experience and sales teams are trained to understand their roles and responsibilities in inventory management and are held accountable for inventory loss.

S/he will supervise the team of Field Inventory Coordinators, the Distribution Coordinator and will carry out regular stocktaking of all warehouses in the country (warehouse, service centers, POS, field stock).

S/he will support the field teams through training and evaluation of inventory management processes.

S/he will supervise warehousing and work with the teams to ensure compliance with 6S standards in the country's warehouses.

In collaboration with the Customer Experience, Sales and Finance teams, he/she will use monitoring tools to track and centralize stock levels at the warehouses.

 

During the inventory, he/she supervises the counting of the items and centralises the various reports in order to compare the physical stock with the stock in the digital system (SAP, Powerhub, etc.), to have any discrepancies justified by the parties concerned within the deadlines and to draw up the final inventory report.

S/he will be responsible for reconciling the stock with the ERP system (SAP) in close collaboration with the financial team.

S/he will be creative, organised, detail oriented and able to solve problems independently.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team as there will be a lot of coordination with the Operations, Customer Experience, Sales and Finance teams.

The role requires frequent travel to remote areas of Benin.

    • Produce training materials to support the performance of the warehouse team, service centres, sales and their team.

Ensure that the stock flow report’s Data is accurate (Warehouses PK10 & Kpondehou) = 100%.

 

  • SAP Input (40%) – Monitor and post weekly inventory consumption, weekly inventory production and weekly inventory releases/ Delivery to PS. Have the posting validated by Finance approval.

 

  • HSSE (10%)

Adherence to RG 11 (Agent/Casual worker/Intern/Employee) = 0 Variance/ Month.

 

Required Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration / Transport & Logistics. MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in progressive Logistics & Distribution sectors or in related areas.
  • Capability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and experience reconciling data across multiple sources.
  • Adopt a proactive, customer-service oriented approach.
  • Highly motivated, self-starting, positive attitude, with intense desire to work hard and make an impact by improving processes.

As a Retail Power Portfolio Senior Advisor  in Houston, you will be directly accountable to deliver expected gross margin originated from retail contract sales, focusing on PJM and MISO deregulated power regions. You will own all aspects of Profit & Loss (P&L) related to your retail power book, including detailed explanation of delivery month actuals, Power Purchase Agreements (PPA’s), forward book Market to Market (MTM) changes, and budget planning. You will be responsible for identifying risks, recommending hedge strategies, and taking direct action to hedge and manage all price and volume risk exposures inherit in retail power business. In collaboration with other key members of the Portfolio Management Team, you will share responsibility in formulating forward price curves for all Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) components of full- requirements products and continuous calibration of costing assumptions to ensure ENGIE remains competitive in retail space and share accountability to meet Sales goals.  You will also interact with other internal teams to meet Engie Resources’ objectives, including Sales, Business Development, Origination, Trading, Operations, Risk Management, Marketing, and Digital teams.

 

  • Trade financial and physical instruments for Energy, Capacity, Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), Ancillaries, Firm Transmission Rights (FTRs), Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Power Options, and Weather derivatives in support of retail business
  • Validate load forecasts and oversee day-ahead demand bid schedules
  • Produce and reconcile daily Net Open Position (NOP) and MTM reports
  • Aggregate revenue and cost data to measure portfolio profitability
  • Contribute to daily formulation and regular calibration of forward price curves for Energy, Capacity, Ancillary Services, Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS), Network Integration Transmission Service (NITS), and all other cost components of full-requirements electricity products
  • Manage the price and volume risks associated with serving retail power load with various contractual obligations, i.e. fixed price, index, or hybrid 
  • Research complex business problems and identify opportunities to design, develop, and propose actionable solutions in support of pricing, portfolio management, and margin analysis activities
  • Coordinate with various functional groups to review and validate customer revenue and ISO settlement data to gain insights into portfolio profitability
  • Provide insight into the drivers of portfolio Profit & Loss from budget development through final settlement
  • Follow and comply with industry specifications, standards, regulations, and laws
