What You Can Expect

As a Senior Photovoltaic (PV) Technician based in Minnesota, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on solar projects up to 7 MW across the Midwest. With at least five years of PV experience and strong customer service skills, you will support ground mount and commercial rooftop systems while ensuring safety compliance. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays, are required.

 

Daily responsibilities include servicing ground arrays and rooftop systems for municipalities, corporations, and major retailers using a company truck. Tasks involve cleaning and testing panels, troubleshooting inverters, updating networking/DAS systems, and preparing detailed service reports. You will collaborate with the Regional Service Manager and clients to discuss maintenance and upgrade options.

 

  • Respond promptly to trouble tickets
  • Develop work scopes for repairs requiring subcontractors
  • Conduct scheduled annual preventative maintenance for PV systems
  • Review maintenance reports, provide feedback, and plan corrective actions with the Regional Service Manager
  • Maintain detailed expense records for service calls using company software

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum 5 years of experience with NEC electrical code, NFPA70, and OSHA 10 safety standards

  • Expertise in PV design, installation, and maintenance
  • Proficient in troubleshooting PV systems, including arrays, inverters, and networking
  • Experienced in commissioning and monitoring solar electrical generation systems
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with peers, management, and clients
  • Knowledge of O&M and Performance Guarantee contracts, including safety and site access requirements


 

Additional Details

  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 90% of the time for daily travel and 50% overnight travel
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record

Compensation

Salary Range:  $41.39-$63.46 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

As our Asset Operations, Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for executing field response for reactive and planned maintenance activities of select operating standalone battery assets in Lubbock, Texas area.  You will also serve as a key company representative for maintenance scheduling and coordination with internal teams as well as 3rd parties. This field-based position will work across departments to communicate updates and will require frequent travel, primarily to two facilities in North Texas.  As such, candidate must reside within  60 minutes of our Lubbock, TX area facilities.  

 

Every day you will be responsible for keeping the battery storage plants up and running, coordinate with various Original Equipment Manufactures “OEMs”, internal and external maintenance partners, provide hands-on troubleshooting of on-site technical issues, perform deviation detection and mitigation on the operating battery plants. You will communicate with internal departments, Performance Management, Asset Management, and Remote Operations teams to report any issues or needs and support issues resolutions coordinating with internal teams, OEMs and EMS providers. You will support reliability improvement plans via coordinating with in-house and third-party technical engineering staff.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum high school diploma or technical certificate
  • Minimum of three (3) years of electrical experience or comparable industrial experience such as Power Sector Industry, Military experience working with diesel generators or power systems, or Oil & Gas industry experience with maintenance/service experience of heavy machinery is beneficial in lieu of battery storage experience
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy

                      Responsabilidades Principais da Função

Proceder à monitorização, deteção, caraterização, comunicação, registo e reparação de avarias mecânicas nos equipamentos disponíveis nas explorações

Executar os trabalhos de alta precisão (alinhamentos e outros), montagem e desmontagem, reparação e conservação de máquinas, motores e conjuntos mecânicos, incluindo os trabalhos de corte e soldadura que se mostrarem necessários.

Colaborar com técnicos dos construtores em trabalhos de montagem, desmontagem, reparação, conservação, verificação e ajuste de equipamentos mecânicos, de acordo com procedimentos estabelecidos.

Assegurar as comunicações necessárias sobre o estado de equipamentos intervencionados, em intervenção ou em estado de funcionamento irregular, procedendo ao seu registo sistemático.

Dar suporte às equipas de Manutenção e Planeamento, sempre que necessário e de acordo com o planeamento estruturado de atividades.

Garantir o cumprimento de todas as instruções e legislação relativas a Segurança e Saúde no Trabalho, bem como as Ambientais.

What You Can Expect
As the Operations Manager for a 30.2 MW wind generation site, 153 MW wind generation site along with a 135 MW Battery Energy Storage System traveling between Cisco, TX and Seymour, TX you bear the responsibility for overseeing total employment, training, schedules, safety, and the day-to-day financial operations of the site. In your capacity as lead of safety, it is imperative to ensure that all permits and reports are current, valid, and in compliance with both federal and state regulatory agencies. You will be tasked with the management of vendors, subcontractors, maintenance, and consultants, coordinating efforts with third parties. Additionally, you will handle the troubleshooting of Balance of Plant (BOP) switching, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) functions, and communicate with landowners and local communities.

 

Your managerial role extends to leading a team comprising two technicians and indirectly overseeing a Regional Administrator. Utilizing systems like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), you will monitor daily asset performance and regulatory compliance to meet standards set by organizations such as the National Electrical Renewables Council (NERC). Your responsibilities involve utilizing various computer-based systems, ensuring the timely update and maintenance of all documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional management may be necessary to provide reports on the status, progress, and development of various projects on-site.

 

  • Able to provide technical and management support for the design and operations of the wind farm site
  • Must be willing to attain substation technician certification within 12 months of hire date
  • Carries out all responsibilities under environmental legislation to prevent environmental spills
  • Manages a safety program that complies with all Federal and State requirements ensuring the safe operation of the site regarding the public, employees, and equipment
  • Cooperates with internal and third parties regarding safety and regulatory compliance and responds to their recommendations in a timely manner


What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma/ technical degree or equivalent education where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership, management, communication, organizational, operational and prioritization skills
  • Must have five (5) years’ experience in a related industry where you have experience with industrial electrical equipment, power generations, thermal generations, line, and utility scale equipment
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in leadership or supervisory role of technical, operations or maintenance personnel
  • Working knowledge of wind power generating equipment and technologies and substations to identify, categorize and troubleshoot
  • Must be physically capable of entering and working in a confined space (crawl spaces, shafts, small enclosed areas) as well as work at various heights and in adverse conditions during operations, shutdowns, and in fire/emergency activities
  • Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and full-face respirators, fall protection equipment, hardhat, safety shoes, safety glasses

  • Para as instalações da empresa, assumir a função de Técnico Responsável de Exploração, de forma a assegurar a resposta aos respetivos requisitos legais e regulamentares
  • Colaboração da organização da componente eléctrica e de automação da Engenharia, promovendo aconselhamento técnico, elaborando estudos e especificações, esquemas dando resposta às necessidades de desenvolvimento da actividade
  • Desenvolvimento das tarefas com base nos processos e procedimentos de Saúde, Segurança e Ambiente, procurando ser uma elemento activo no desenvolvimento da cultura SSA da empresa
  • Para a área eléctrica e de automação, assegurar a promoção das intervenções preventivas e elaboração de especificações sempre que necessário, bem como a coordenação das intervenções manutenção correctiva
  • Supervisão próxima dos prestadores de serviço, garantindo uma execução com qualidade e em enquadrado nos objetivos de produção e de controlo orçamental
  • Coordena e monitoriza a atividade de subcontratados na sua área de especialidade, assegurando permanentemente a conformidade dos trabalhos e resultados entregues, em correlação com os contratos celebrados e as normas que regulam a atividade de externos, com especial ênfase no âmbito da Segurança no Trabalho e na conformidade Ambiental
  • Gerir as questões pendentes e dinamizar os planos de acção necessários
  • Garantir a organização da documentação técnica: registo detalhado das intervenções, actualização de esquemas, relatórios e projectos
  • Acompanhamento dos consumos das instalações (energia activa e reactiva), interfaces com interluctores e desenvolvimento de acções de melhoria
  • Interface com os operadores de rede, coordenação técnicas das intervenções/indisponibilidades e gestão dos protocolos de exploração
  • Acompanhamento do desenvolvimento tecnológico, e implementação de soluções de melhoria e respectiva implementação
  • Participação nas actividades de reporting, trabalhando a informação de forma a dar resposta aos KPI estabelecidos
  • Colaboração com outras áreas da empresa, em conformidade c/ os procedimentos definidos

 

Qualificações

  • Licenciatura em ramo compatível de Engenharia, designadamente Eletrotécnica ou de Energia
  • Outras Qualificações ou Certificações: Mestrado na área académica antes referida.

Requisitos de Conhecimento e Experiência

  • Experiência profissional de 5 anos na área funcional.
  • Conhecimentos sólidos e visão científica de tecnologias, sistemas, processos e procedimentos na área da Engenharia de Manutenção aplicada à indústria da produção elétrica em ativos renováveis.
  • Conhecimentos avançados de modelos e metodologias de Planificação da Manutenção em ambiente industrial (preferencialmente em contexto de ativos eólicos e solares).
  • Conhecimentos avançados de Segurança no Trabalho e Conformidade Ambiental, preferencialmente em contexto de ativos eólicos.
  • Conhecimentos sólidos de ferramentas informáticas de suporte à função, incluindo as ferramentas Office,  ERP SAP (muito valorizado), MS Project ou similar (entre outras ferramentas aplicacionais necessárias ao exercício funcional).

What You Can Expect

ENGIE North America is hiring a Solar Technician for our Solar Site located near Goliad, TX.  

 

As a Solar Technician, your daily responsibilities begin with accessing tasks via SCADA, Maximo, or various SAP software systems and repairing, troubleshooting, and fulfilling technical repair work orders for solar panels. You will manage documentation, update parts inventory, and as well as submit on-site status reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, and initiate work orders for equipment repairs.

 

  • Coordination of high voltage switching activities with local utilities and independent system operators (ISO), which includes tasks like substation operations, equipment lockouts and grounding
  • Adhere to safety protocols such as conducting Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety meetings
  • While you will primarily work independently on-site, there will always be a nearby technician for safety support; the site's team comprises of a site manager, a Balance of Plant technician, and the solar technician
  • You will also be a part of an on-call rotation for outages and emergencies; therefore, you must reside within 50 miles of the site

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum two (2) years diploma in a technical program where you have learned Alternating Current (AC) / Direct Current (DC) electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Solar generation sites, Wind generation sites
  • Manufacturing or Mining operations, or Controls & Industrial Maintenance
  • Must have or be willing to obtain certification by AVO as substation technician within 12 months of hire date
  • Capacity to be on call as deemed necessary by supervisor

 

 

Additional Details

  • This is a field position requiring daily travel to worksites
  • Must be available to travel domestically to other solar plants for emergencies and assist with outages
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record to drive company vehicle on and around the plant
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • The position consists of 30% work indoors and 70% work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions
  • Could involve some lifting

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range:  $36.30 – 53.74 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
