About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial and Sustainability Business Analyst to join our team at Ixora HQ in Exeter. This role is pivotal in driving our commercial strategies and sustainability initiatives within the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, with a keen interest in sustainability practices and commercial growth, particularly in relation to OFGEM submissions and regulatory compliance.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the safeguarding of regulated revenues through the effective management and validation of data to support timely and accurate reporting.
  • Develop and update reporting dashboards, representing a single source of truth for key performance indicators accessible for reporting purposes.
  • Monitor and report on weekly key performance indicators (KPIs) related to commercial and sustainability goals, driving timely operational performance decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into business operations, ensuring alignment with OFGEM regulations and submissions.
  • Collate and maintain a record of evidence supporting reporting submissions, to ensure internal and external audit readiness.
  • Implement best practices for data collection and management to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data supporting reporting and business decisions.
  • Report on compliance with the agreed gas hedging strategy, regularly monitoring the trend in gas market prices and signaling opportunities to lock in favorable rates.
  • Conduct relevant research and analysis of internal and external benchmark data to identify commercial opportunities and sustainability trends.
  • Provide comprehensive insights and recommendations based on data analysis to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and OFGEM guidelines related to sustainability and commercial activities.

Knowledge and Skills/Experience:

  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in environmental science, sustainability, finance/accounting, or a related analytical field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with a focus on commercial and sustainability projects in the energy sector.
  • Familiarity with OFGEM regulations and experience in preparing OFGEM submissions is desirable.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Condate Biogas in South Molton, Devon. This role involves working alongside the Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager to ensure plant uptime and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance of the anaerobic digestion facility, including installing and maintaining electrical components such as generators, inverters, and control systems.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components, including generators, inverters, and control systems.
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance of the plant, including working on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, pipework, and electrical equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues and system failures.
  • Conducting routine inspections to identify and rectify potential issues.
  • Stocktaking of electrical spares and equipment, ensuring all items are recorded and accounted for on the company systems.
  • Collaborating with other team members and contractors to ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and efficient operations.
  • Keeping accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  • Assisting in other mechanical or operational areas as required, including driving a telehandler.

 

Knowledge and Skills/Experience:

  • Extensive electrical experience in an industrial or renewable energy sector, or previous experience in a continuous process environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and components.
  • Proven ability to interpret and understand wiring diagrams and drawings.
  • Proven experience with fault finding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in completing spreadsheets and reports.
  • Good numerical, analytical, and diagnostic skills.

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering (e.g., apprenticeship, City & Guilds/NVQ/HNC/HND).
  • Full UK driving licence.

Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in establishing and growing our biogas business in Spain. This position will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing mergers and acquisitions (if the case may be), developing partnerships, and developing/leading Greenfield and Brownfield projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Spanish renewable energy market, particularly in biogas or related sectors, and possess strong strategic, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities for growth in the Spanish biogas sector.
  • Develop and implement a business development strategy to achieve the company's goal of 0.5 TWh of installed capacity by 2030.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Identify and evaluate potential M&A targets within the Spanish biogas market.  Lead due diligence, negotiations and integration processes for acquisitions as well as all internal governance steps.  Collaborate with the finance, legal, engineering, technical, HSE,… teams to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including agricultural cooperatives, waste management companies, regional governments, and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop joint ventures and strategic alliances that enhance the company’s market position and access to feedstock and digestate offtake.
  • Negotiate and secure long-term contracts for feedstock supply and other critical resources.
  • Oversee the identification and development of Greenfield and Brownfield projects in high-potential regions.
  • Work closely with RGE and all relevant stakeholders to assess project feasibility, secure permits, and ensure timely execution.
  • Manage relationships with local communities and other stakeholders to ensure project acceptance and success.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage project budgets, financial models, and investment plans.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with market entry, project execution, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide regular updates to the General Manager and senior leadership on business development activities, progress against targets, and market insights.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record in the renewable energy sector (clear plus if in the biogas, biomethane, or waste-to-energy).
    • Demonstrated experience in leading greenfield projects, M&A activities, developing partnerships, and managing projects in Spain.
    • Possess a strong knowledge and understanding of the Spanish energy market (and biogas in particular), including regulatory, financial, and operational aspects.
  • Skills:
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Fluency in Spanish and English is required; French languages is a plus.

PRESENTATION DE GAZ RENOUVELABLES EUROPE

GAZ RENOUVELABLES EUROPE (RGE) est l'entité d'ENGIE responsable du développement de la production de gaz renouvelables et bas carbone en Europe. Depuis 2015, ENGIE développe une activité de production de biométhane.

ENGIE est déterminé à devenir un acteur majeur du biométhane en Europe. L'ambition est de croître rapidement pour atteindre une capacité de production de biométhane de 10 TWh/an d'ici 2030.

En Europe, en dehors de la France, des projets de production de biométhane sont déjà en cours de développement au Royaume-Uni, aux Pays-Bas, en Belgique, en Allemagne, en Pologne et en Italie. L'Espagne, le Portugal et la Roumanie sont d'autres pays d'intérêt. La stratégie consiste à développer des projets, en propre et par le biais de fusions-acquisitions, pour injecter du biométhane dans le réseau de gaz ou pour produire du bioGNL.

Pour concrétiser cette forte ambition, RGE étend son organisation, en France et en Europe, en s'appuyant sur des organisations opérationnelles locales dans chaque pays et sur une organisation globale qui gère et soutient l'activité et s'appuie sur les ressources de T&G.

 

Description du poste

Rattaché au Directeur des Systèmes d’informations, vous rejoignez une DSI en pleine croissance, créée en octobre 2023. L’entité Française de  Renewable Gases Europe, opère à partir de 3 sites principaux (Paris, Rennes, Rouen) et gère 23 centrales, principalement situées en Bretagne et en Normandie. En ce qui concerne le Royaume-Uni et les Pays-Bas, vous collaborerez avec les équipes IT locales. Cette approche collaborative s’étendra également aux nouveaux pays qui développeront du biométhane en Europe. Des déplacements sont à prévoir (principalement en France).

Mission : Le référent en cybersécurité sera responsable de la protection des systèmes d’information contre les menaces de sécurité. Il/elle travaillera en étroite collaboration avec le DSI, le CISO et le Responsable Infrastructure & Réseaux pour développer et mettre en œuvre des politiques et des procédures de sécurité robustes.

Activités et responsabilités clés :

  • Définir la Politique de Sécurité du Système d’Information (PSSI) de RGE, en cohérence avec la Politique du Groupe, de la GBU (via son CISO) et l’actualité (inter)nationale.
  • Évaluer notre niveau de conformité au regard de la politique Groupe cybersécurité pour l’IT (IT Cyber Umbrella), et définir puis suivre le plan d’actions de remédiation en cas d’écart.
  • Surveiller la mise en œuvre des mesures de sécurité de l’information.
  • Gérer les incidents de sécurité et mener des enquêtes approfondies en cas de violation de la sécurité.
  • Mettre en place une Gouvernance permettant d’intégrer la cybersécurité “by-design” dans chaque nouveau projet Digital & IT.
  • Contribuer au programme CORE (Cybersecurity and Operational Resilience Enhancement) pour améliorer l’architecture réseau, établir des normes d’infrastructure, gérer les relations avec les tiers et instaurer une gouvernance IT/OT pour les centrales.
  • Suivre les indicateurs remontés lors des réunions des CIO et des QBR.
  • Effectuer des audits de sécurité réguliers et détaillés.
  • Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des mesures de sensibilisation et des formations sur le thème de la sécurité de l’information.

Vous serez également rattaché fonctionnellement, au Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) de la Global Business Unit Network.

Compétences techniques :

  • Expérience avérée dans la gestion de la sécurité des systèmes d’information.
  • Connaissance des normes et des cadres de sécurité de l’information (ISO 27001, NIS, etc.).
  • Expérience avec les outils et les technologies de sécurité de l’information.
  • Compréhension des architectures de réseau et des principes de sécurité des réseaux.
  • Expérience pratique dans la gestion et la configuration des commutateurs (switches).
  • Expérience pratique dans la configuration des pares-feux (différentes marques et modèles).
