What You Can Expect

The internship work term will be from June 2025 to August 2025, full-time work schedule working up to 40 hours per week.

 

As a Financial Reporting and Audit Intern, you will report to Manager, Financial Control and Reporting, you will be responsible for supporting ENGIE Canada and ENGIE North America’s financial reporting and compliance team in coordinating external audits to meet statutory and partnership reporting requirements. You will provide assistances in financial statement preparation, variance analysis and notes disclosures.

 

Compile and update financial statements and supporting documents for audit and regulatory compliance

Variance analysis on selected expenses and revenue accounts

Assist in addressing internal and external audit inquiries, and respond in a timely manner

Assist in updating audited financial statements rollforward and supporting documents

Assist in monthly and quarterly financial statements for various partnership entities

Participate in various process improvements to achieve greater efficiencies

Carry out other duties as assigned

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have completed 1-3 years of a post-secondary degree with major in Accounting, Finance or any related field
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel and Word), detail oriented and able to work accurately on multiple assignments on a timely basis 
  • Ability to work independently in a demanding changing environment and remain flexible on priorities

What You Can Expect
As the Health & Safety Coordinator, you will support the development and implementation for the Health & Safety (H&S) Management System across ENGIE North America. What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial and industrial construction environments.
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA (US) CFR 29 Parts 1910/1926 and OH&S Act (Canada) regulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Draft, review and negotiate:Master Agreements (e.g., NAESB, ISDA and REC agreements, together with relevant annexes) for various commodities and related derivatives (i.e., power, gas, emissions)
  • Long-term renewable power purchase agreements
  • Secured energy supply and credit facilities for retail electric providers
  • Other energy contracts (i.e., energy management agreements, hedging contracts, responsibly sourced gas agreements, gas storage and transportation contracts, intra-group contracts, brokerage contracts, etc.)
  • Pre-transactional documents, e.g., confidentiality agreements, letters of intent and term sheets
  • Credit management documentation (e.g., credit support annexes, letters of credit and guaranties)

Currently ENGIE operates a 7 GW fleet of utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage assets across North America, which is expected to grow considerably in the coming years. As the Director of Renewables Operations Control Center (ROCC) you will be expected to structure, manage, coordinate, monitor, and assess the real-time operations of its renewable’s generation fleet.  The director will be essential in forming the ROCC’s operational philosophy and finding opportunities to create a cutting-edge control center. The ROCC Director collaborates closely with key stakeholders, including Engineering, IT, Operations, GEMS, and Asset Management, to develop, implement, and manage the processes and procedures essential for establishing and operating the ROCC. The director will oversee the ROCC team, which currently comprises one Supervisor and six operators working in a 24/7, year-round operational environment, along with the regulatory and compliance teams.

 

Key functions of the Director of ROCC and Compliance include:

  • Ensuring stable and reliable operation of generation facilities
  • Identifying and responding to plant and Bulk Electric System (BES) conditions
  • Communicating and coordinating with other BES entities
  • Dispatching field maintenance crews to investigate abnormal conditions
  • Logging actions, communications, and abnormal conditions for future review

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant trade education where you have learned about power systems, regulatory and compliance, controls
  • Minimum of ten (10) years in Real-Time Operations (RTO) within the electricity or thermal sector such as generation, transmission, or distribution

As our Senior Accountant, you will ensure timely and accurate general ledger accounting and financial reporting. You will provide crucial accounting support to project teams and senior management. What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business, Mathematics or related discipline required

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or Project Management or related field
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Procurement or Project Management, with expertise in process management, IT/Digital systems, internal controls, risk management, and leadership. Strong project management skills, team management experience, and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • You are experienced in procurement categories and tools such as SAP, Ariba, and/or Coupa
  • You hold advanced proficiency in Excel, Power Pivot, and Microsoft Project
  • You are a strategic thinker with a proven ability to innovate, lead change, and drive process improvements

As a Senior Quantitative Analyst, you will report to Head of Asset Portfolio Management & Structuring, you will leverage ENGIE’s large-scale Renewable and Battery Storage Portfolio to commercialize industry-leading Clean Power Product structures. You will play a pivotal role in developing next-generation models and strategies to facilitate first-of-a-kind market products. Working within the Renewable and Battery Storage Portfolio Management Team, you will apply knowledge of both traditional and exotic market products, coupled with a quantitative approach to modeling risk, that supports new transactions.

 

You will develop, maintain, and standardize models utilized to assess future value and risk associated with transactions conducted with the intent to maximize ENGIE portfolio value and minimize risk. You will utilize understanding of power markets, risk, renewables, and battery storage to formulate strategies by which to manage future risk introduced by new transactions and/or changing market conditions. Example functions include:

 

  • Developing statistical models that value current and future renewable and battery storage generation sold to downstream large energy consumers
  • Structuring exotic commercial products tailored to client’s sustainability needs and within desired risk limits
  • Standardized hedging and trading strategies intended to mitigate risk associated with complex bundled energy products
  • Pricing customized renewable off-take deals

 

In support of the aforementioned functions, you should also be able to assist in developing, maintaining, and streamlining fundamental and statistical models to assess market risk in Texas (ERCOT), Mid-Continent (SPP & MISO) , and Eastern (PJM) Power Markets. Example activities include:

 

  • Developing models to price bundled energy products in power markets
  • Establishing a fundamentally-backed perspective on future capacity and congestion markets across Wholesale Power Markets
  • Perform fundamental analysis in both Power and Gas Markets to understand the dynamics in demand, supply and infrastructure

 

You are also expected to support traders and originators during negotiations. Supporting responsibilities include:

 

  • Providing updates to pricing upon request, providing supplemental analysis and assisting in the negotiations of structured transactions
  • Proposing risk management strategies for the existing ENGIE portfolio with the intent of maximizing portfolio value and minimizing risk

 

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor of Science in which you completed coursed in Engineering/Math/Physics/Economics/Finance/Statistics or other related disciplines
  • 5 years’ experience in related field
  • Strong background in probability and statistics, with comprehensive understanding risk
