What You Can Expect

As our Senior Acquisitions Investment Financial Advisory (AIFA)  Associate, you can work a hybrid schedule from our Houston, TX or Chicago, IL office. You will develop business cases and provide supporting project financial analyses to guide the investment for greenfield investment, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) projects.

 

Every day you will be responsible for leading the valuation, structuring guidance, advise on commercial agreements, risk allocation, bankability of contracts, financing alternatives, and expected investment returns throughout the business development process of investments, mergers and acquisition, and project financing plans. You will present investment opportunities to ENGIE leadership, defend project economics, and risks for the review committees.

 

  • Develop, analyze, evaluate and recommend financial options and proposals as they relate to business development projects or other funding needs
  • Advise internal stakeholders in understanding appropriate risk allocation, bankability of terms and conditions of various project contracts and provide general structuring advice and optimization of returns throughout the business development process
  • Structure, negotiate and execute financing documents (internal or project finance) for medium to large size transactions
  • Identify main project economic and financial risks and advise on the appropriate mitigation factors and definition of appropriate contingencies
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions, following group guidelines. Maintain responsibility for the accuracy and correct incorporation of relevant inputs to such models. Propose and implement relevant sensitivity analysis for investment files
  • Assist the business development decision making process and manage internal approvals process for new economic commitments and associated financing arrangements
  • Create and lead presentations for lender and management updates and discussions
  • Coach and mentor more junior members of the AIFA team

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Math, or a STEM-focused degree program where you have learned project management, project financing, investments, equity, mergers, acquisitions, power, energy, or renewable market skills
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in all aspects of project finance and M&A transactions where you lead the modeling/analysis, drive the structuring, negotiating legal documentation, execution of transactions and detailed financial modeling for each project from start of the development process to the successful closing of an investment or acquisition
  • Broad power industry expertise, including working in retail, energy services, renewables and / or generation markets
  • Investment analysis experience in the clean energy sector at a developer, fund, bank, or consultant
  • Detailed financial modeling, including a project finance and accounting component, with a strong proficiency working in EXCEL
  • You have worked in environments where you have worked alone or in a team structuring and closing M&A and/or financing transactions, including reviewing, and negotiating legal documentation
  • Knowledge of US merchant power markets drivers, hedging instruments, Tax Equity Structures, and IRS requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple parties including banks, consultants, lawyers as well as internal stakeholders (management, business development, legal, technical, insurance, tax, and accounting) to bring transactions to conclusion in a challenging environment

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, two days in office and three days work from home

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,400 – $196,765 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

As our Asset Management Advisor, you will be responsible for managing key site contracts, including utility, management, storm, and bonds.   • Document and Maintenance Oversight: Manage the site document database and validate non-standard maintenance
  • Portfolio Management: Coordinate and communicate with customers (e.g., co-ops, major retail operators, utilities), handle transversal site topics (invoicing, hedging, Solar Renewable Energy Certificate (SREC), landowner management, insurance), and report on these topics
  • Regulation and Reporting: Maintain knowledge of regulations, prepare commercial presentations for partner meetings and monthly reports, and communicate activities through dashboards
  • Financial Management and Analysis: Estimate monthly volume and price for revenue accrual, collaborate with accounting for proper accruals, set up and execute internal controls, and report on energy margin, P&L, and cash for operating companies

 

 

What You’ll Bring

What You Can Expect

As our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Director based in Houston TX, you will lead the FP&A Flexible Generation team, which currently includes three (3) direct reports.  You and your team will focus on financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting for ENGIE North America's expanding Flexible Generation portfolio. You will collaborate closely with the Flexible Generation Global Business Unit (FGGBU) Asset Management, Operations, Partnership teams and our wholesale market facing Global Energy Management Services team (GEMS) to gain a deep understanding of operational profitability drivers, risks, and liquidity management. In this role, you  will be a key member of ENGIE’s finance team ensuring accurate monthly and quarterly results for Management, Partnership, and Group reporting. You will prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews for FGGBU Management and ENGIE Group Corporate reporting highlighting the business's performance and evolution based on operational and project-specific drivers. Your tracking of key financial indicators will provide early warnings to Management and actionable information carrying the FGGBU strategy forward. This position, reports to the Vice President of FP&A.

 

 

  • Manage and develop the skills of the FGGBU FP&A team under the Engie Ways Of Working policy
  • Direct the development of annual budgets, re-forecasts, and medium-term business plans (MTP), collaborating with other Business divisions ensuring consistency with ENGIE and partners guidelines
  • Under the supervision of the Flexible Generation Finance Business Partner (FBP) prepare supporting materials for and actively participate in partnership Board meetings
  • Ensure the FGGBU’s budget and MTP data is accurately and timely loaded into reporting systems
  • Identifying and implementing efficiency and control enhancing process improvements
  • Manage the monthly Group and partnership reporting processes, including thorough management analysis of P&L and Cash-Flow Statement components by portfolio
  • Align the FGGBU’s periodic P&L and cash re-forecasts with actual year to date results and updated business activity plans
  • Support senior management with ad hoc performance reporting and analysis
  • Lead or participate as the FP&A expert in cross-functional projects, as needed, which may include IT tools, processes, strategic transactions, or other initiatives

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, in accounting, finance or related field
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in business financial analysis, financial reporting, or accounting
  • Successful finance and strong accounting  experience in energy market
  • A CFA, CMA, CPA license or desire to achieve one
  • Polished executive level written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of English
  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, SAP solutions (S4, SAC, BFC, Cartesis), and/or Power BI

What you’ll do:

  • Timely and accurately cash matching in ENGIE’s ERP system
  • Reconcile daily cash match posting to bank account and analyze and research all
  • unapplied cash receipts
  • Function as the liaison with the Collections team for the proper application of cash

As a Project Director, you will lead the development of Green Hydrogen projects in the North America from feasibility to start of construction.   • Drive Green Hydrogen projects from initiation up to Final Investment Decision and handover to the Execution team
  • Provide leadership and ensure top performance in all areas of the project (engineering, Health Safety Environmental (HSE), permitting, regulatory compliance, procurement, construction management, project control, contracting)
  • Develop and manage all aspects of the project (scope, execution plan, resourcing, budget, schedule, risks, quality, interfaces)
  • Use your knowledge of Green Hydrogen (or related industries) to steer development of the project, keep the team focused and executives well informed
  • Use your extensive Project Management and Engineering experience to establish effective management process, systems and tools; Develop and own the Project Management Plan with all its elements
  • Engage internal and external teams and partners, align early and continuously, and manage  proactively any interfaces and risks (alignment sessions, project reviews, Value Improvement Practices, lessons learnt)
  • Proactively define the need, identify & mobilize resources, and manage progress on the technical deliverables for the various phases of the project
  • Work with Development/Finance team to accurately provide technical, production and costing inputs into project financial models
  • Lead the definition of the project’s procurement and contracting strategy, and management of the project’s procurement activities (tender documents, tendering, negotiation, contracting and invoicing)
  • Lead the definition of contracting and execution strategy, TIC estimates and master scheduling, negotiation of Engineering Procurement Construction (M) and engineering/consulting contracts; support negotiations of the Supply, Offtake or other type of contracts
  • Prepare and coordinate the technical hand-over to the Project Delivery team at project final investment decision  
  • Structure and budget the operation and maintenance of the project, inclusive of staffing and mobilization plan, interfaces with Operations & Maintenance vendor, Operations & Maintenance  agreements, KPIs, pricing structure and carry out other duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering
