What You Can Expect

As our Product Owner, you will be responsible for bridging the vision and roadmap of the Product Management Director with the actions and outputs of the Design and Delivery teams. This role requires a balance of business acumen and technical knowledge of our systems. You will play an integral part in shaping solution designs and plans and act as the approver for system changes. Additionally, you will own the product backlog, creating, clarifying, and prioritizing it based on various requests. This position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Director of Product Management.

 

 

  • Maintain a deep understanding of product use cases and features, and act as the primary point of collaboration between the Product Team and Design and Delivery teams
  • Participate in the development of Product Roadmaps and intake modification requests from all stakeholders, ensuring completeness, clarity, and visibility of product backlogs
  • Prioritize product backlogs based on a thorough understanding of business impact and navigate competing priorities
  • Work with Product, Design, and Delivery teams to define product releases, participate in sprint planning, and guide the delivery team
  • Accept or reject product changes based on adherence to standards and quality metrics, and approve deployments based on solution readiness
  • Participate in UAT to ensure changes meet stakeholder needs and optimize delivery team efforts to maximize business value

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Technical Engineering or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of Business, IT solution delivery, Agile concepts and practices or related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years of Retail Energy Industry, IT Product Management or related field
  • You have consulting experience with strong leadership skills and a passion for driving change
  • You are knowledgeable with technology and Product Management communities
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100 – $134,820 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

As the Technical Architect with a focus on Data Systems in Houston, Texas for ENGIE’s Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) you will be instrumental in shaping the technological landscape, ensuring that our data infrastructure aligns with and supports our broader technical objectives. What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of technical architecture and systems implementation experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years of Microsoft Azure, cloud-based systems, and data technologies experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years of Agile and DevOps experience with modern, automated deployment methods, such as Azure DevOps, Bicep, Terraform, etc.

As the Senior Advisor of Power Marketing (Renewables Power Origination), you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Strategy team on evaluating project acquisition targets & market strategy development and originating renewable energy power purchase agreements (PPA) in North America by developing new and expanding existing commercial and industrial (C&I) customer relationships. In this role you will communicate ENGIE’s energy transition story, benefits, and key attributes of potential product offerings, propose, and structure renewable energy offtake deals for ENGIE’s wind and solar projects in the development portfolio. 

 

Every day in this role you will originate long-term PPAs with large C&I customers seeking to meet their renewable energy and sustainability goals to support the financing and construction of new renewable energy projects in ENGIE’s development pipeline.

 

  • PPA Negotiation: Lead negotiation of the terms and conditions in the renewable energy PPAs, term sheets, exclusivity, broker, and drive PPA transactions toward closure internally and externally
  • Build Customer Relationships: Actively manage and build relationships with existing and new customers in different C&I customer segments across North America. Seek opportunities and deal structures that enable bilateral transactions with the C&I customers while remaining abreast of renewable energy opportunities in the United States and global industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to C&I customers
  • Proposal Preparation: Evaluate requests for proposals, lead bid preparation, prepare competitive analysis, and manage participation in competitive procurement processes. Match available projects in the development pipeline with customer needs and prepare proposal and presentation materials for customers during shortlist and negotiation process. Lead establishment of strategy, pricing, and different structures for available projects
  • Internal PPA Approvals: Prepare internal approval notes and review PPAs with internal stakeholders, collaborate and coordinate with ENGIE’s renewable project development, delivery team, and cross functional teams and business lines. Leading the internal support teams though all aspects of the complex sales process through to closing
  • Growth Strategy Support: Ensure customer preferences and feedback on energy products and attributes, project locations, and continuously evolving PPA terms are shared with development, finance, and management team for future growth path of renewables business for ENGIE in North America
  • Public Speaking: Represent ENGIE at national renewable energy events as speaker, panelist, and energy leader

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering or related field of study where you have learned contracts, negotiations, business administration, or similar based program
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the energy industry with three (3) years of experience in power origination
  • Record of success in a development or PPA capacity in the clean energy sector securing long term power sale agreements on renewable energy projects with large corporations and/or utilities
  • Proven ability to lead, structure, negotiate, coordinate, and execute PPAs together with internal and external advisors
  • Knowledge of the US electric energy markets and corporate demand for renewable energy
  • Working knowledge of Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) operations, electric transmission, power generation and/or renewable energy technologies
  • Flexibility, solid sales experience, networking, leadership, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Marketing and Presentation experience to create marketing, presentations and proposal materials to pitch renewable energy projects to customers
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and high level of attention to detail
  • Results oriented leader with the ability to work independently within a large matrixed organization while effectively interfacing with the various cross-functional employee groups
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

ENGIE NA Grid Scale Renewables organization is seeking a well-qualified Project Controls Cost Analyst II, to join our high performing team. The Project Controls Cost Analyst II will work within the Project Controls Office within the Grid Scale Renewables Team. The Project Controls Cost Analyst II will interface and work collaboratively on cross-functional internal and external project teams and corporate support functions to provide cost control services throughout the entire duration of the project life cycle.

 

Every day in this role you will support project controls processes for new grid scale renewable capital development, construction and operational projects including:

  • Budgeting and control of development expenditures (tracking limited notice to proceed (LNTP’s), preparing schedule of values (SOV), and supporting planned value (PV) distribution activities;
  • Preparation of capital construction budgets including forecasting and variance reporting; preparation of routine reports of project status;
  • Control of the cost categorization per predefined budgets and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
  • Support Project Managers (PM’s) in project budget analysis and control through the preparation of:
  • Weekly project budget status reports
  • Month over month cost variance analysis per WBS
  • Monthly key performance indicators which detail out deltas in overall estimate at complete (EAC)
  • Monthly cash flow forecasts
  • Monthly earned value management (EVM) calculations
  • Assist projects with vendor requirements, invoice approvals, purchase orders, change events, and contingency management
  • Support project managers in identifying, monitoring, and actively controlling risks to project budgets and schedules

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Project, or Construction Management, or in related field, or bachelor’s degree equivalency with practical experience and knowledge of relevant technical systems

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in project cost controls
  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to create customized cost estimating and analysis tools using data import, sorting, and filtering, pivot tables, graphs/charts, and custom formulas
  • Direct experience using enterprise resource planning systems/tools (SAP, COUPA or other ERP systems) associated with procurement, payment, and accounting
  • Detail-oriented individual who will proactively pursue and investigate the underlying details surrounding information being reported in order to construct a comprehensive understanding of project related costs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to diagnosis and solve problems within limited time frames
  • Highly capable of working constructively and maintaining good relationships with both internal and external stakeholder

As our Construction Manager (CM) II, you will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and facilitating the construction and commissioning of distributed-scale solar and energy storage projects. This role can be based in Chicago, IL (preferred), Houston, or remote in cities like Denver, NY, and Oakland, CA, reporting to the Manager of Project Delivery.

 

 

  • Actively participate in the Health, Safety, and Environment program for project construction
  • Oversee projects from development through construction to Project Closeout and Handover to O&M/Asset Management, conducting regular site visits
  • Manage multiple construction projects concurrently
  • Track contractual requirements and deliverables for all project contracts, including off-take agreements, interconnection agreements, EPC agreements, financing agreements, and road use agreements
  • Prepare construction safety and progress measurement KPIs using the project plan and baseline schedule, and manage material delivery and inventory at project site

  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant construction management experience, constructing solar or power construction projects

In this role, you will be responsible for management and oversight of assets, including responsibility to ensure safety, superior operational performance, profitability, contract compliance, decision making and problem solving, regulatory compliance, legal interface, guidance and direction to Regional and Site Managers, and monitoring plant activities. You will actively promote a safety-minded working environment and safety programs consistent with the ENGIE NA Health and Safety Principle and ENGIE’s global governance initiatives. On a daily basis you will set objectives for the team in alignment with ENGIE NA strategic plan and maintains a record of their performance through regular evaluations and make recommendations for merit increases and incentive pay. Every day you will monitor the day-to-day operation, maintenance, fiscal, and administrative functions of each operating facility.

 

The Regional Operations Director will optimize plant technical performance through enhancements, upgrades and modifications to physical site equipment. You are expected to improve plant financial performance through modifications to contracts, reflecting changes in market design or operating philosophy as well as apply emerging trends to add value to existing and future ENGIE NA projects. You are responsible for the oversight and direction of plant compliance with company policies and procedures, governmental regulations, Power Purchase contract compliance, operations and maintenance agreements, annual operating plans, and good engineering practices at each facility.

 

  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and procedures
  • Supporting the VP Field Operations in the hiring, termination, and pay schedules for ENGIE NA operating facilities
  • Recommend the hiring, termination, and pay schedules for Regional and Site Mangers positions for approval by the VP Field Operations and COO at ENGIE NA
  • Prepare and submit for review and approval annual and long term strategic plans, budgets and periodic reports for ENGIE NA managed facilities
  • Direct lender-required technical and budget review programs.
  • Identify and direct professional development of subordinates, including identifying needs and supporting plans
  • Comply with all ENGIE NA policies and procedures
  • Interface with commercial organization to enhance communications, outage decision making, dispatch decisions, metric utilization, and plant capability to maximize economic performance and/or optimize the sale of energy output from the facilities

  • Engage with landowners and stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the development process, including attending community engagement events
