Job Purpose/Mission 

  • Financial Controller is responsible for the financial management of Mysol, overseeing all compliance related issues including tax and Audit including all deliverables, pricing and reporting tools.
  • Managing all accounting operations of Mysol, coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and reports.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial and tax strategies to facilitate, calculation, recording/recognition and timely reporting/filing and payment of all statutory dues including but not limited to – VAT, Service Levy, withholding tax, Stamp duty, Annual Turnover tax, Payroll taxes, corporate taxes all other levies including maintenance of monthly compliance checklists.
  • Responsible for the managing and maintenance of Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) related issues and providing monthly feedback and status to the Finance Manager, FP&A and the Head of Finance.
  • Responsible and a point-of-contact all direct cost of sales, including but not limited to - Cost of material, cost of licenses.
  • Manage and analyze VAT relating to sales made by the company and ensure returns are prepared and submitted on time.
  • Timely Inventory valuation, reconciliation and recording by working closely with Supply chain department to manage the impact on Cost of goods sold
  • Assist the Finance Manager, FP&A in Preparation of the CO financial statements (yearly, quarterly, monthly) and explanatory notes to the CO financials (Group and IRFS).
  • Support in preparation of a standardized CO accounting policy, processes, and procedures in compliance with national standards & IFRS and make sure they are well documented in the Mobisol accounting manual.
  • Reconciliation of the intercompany accounting (CO-CO; HQ-CO) along with other BS accounts before month end is finalized and make sure all adjustments are captured timely.
  • Analyze and interpret data to provide financial management information for decision making.
  • Audit preparation and managing the audit process by working with external auditors and prepare all the necessary schedules including the Draft FS for Finance Manager, FP&A review before the audit commences.
  • Prepare and conduct training for non-accounting time on accounting processes and policy documentation.
  • Perform General Ledger reconciliations (including bank, suspense, and other balance sheet accounts).
  • Implementation of the company accounting policies and practices and enforcement of financial reporting systems and internal financial control procedures.
  • Proper custodian and stewardship of Mysol funds.
  • Adhere to Engie Mobisol Code of Ethics and EEA Health and Safety Policy.
  • Verify and approve payment transactions (including transfers, payroll transactions, etc), correctly classified, and supported by appropriate source documentation
  • Review and authorize MPESA/PETTY cash disbursement for all vaults.
  • Undertaking any other duties which may be assigned by the Line Management from time to time.

 

Knowledge and skills 

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting, working in a fast-pacing company based on a B2B and B2C.

  • You are mechanically skilled (A2/bachelor/graduate electromechanics) and have preferably a basic knowledge of electricity.

YOUR CHALLENGE as a Field Technician Turbines

 

As a Field Technician Turbines, you will actively participate in various maintenance projects, overhauls and interventions. An extra challenging aspect of the job is that no two days are the same.

  • You are responsible for organizing, coordinating and performing mechanical maintenance work on industrial gas and steam turbines.
  • At the start of a new construction site, you will be involved in the preparation and, together with the expert engineers from our team, determine the approach, planning and scope of the work to be performed.
  • Depending on the project, you will either take on the role of site supervisor or the role of field technician (or both).
  • In the role as site supervisor, you will coordinate, execute and be responsible for determining resources, ordering materials and following up on them correctly and on time.
  • During execution, you will work with a team of technicians consisting of both colleagues and subcontractors.

The Acquisitions, Investments and Financial Advisory (AIFA) team at ENGIE Group is a dynamic unit involved in significant transactions and strategic initiatives. The Senior Financial Advisor in AIFA leads the valuation, risk analysis of new projects, and manages M&A and project financing transactions. This role also supervises Junior and Financial Advisors in the team.

The team works on a wide variety of projects and technologies, including energy efficiency, power generation, PPPs, networks, and more. These projects can be greenfield/brownfield, financed, or part of buy-side or sell-side M&As, negotiated deals/public tenders. Your key Accountabilities as Senior Financial Advisor AIFA 

 

Every day you will lead several transactions (3 to 5 totaling c.1 Bn€), contribute to decision making, supervise the work of several team members and manage interactions with internal project stakeholders and external counterparties.

 

In particular, you will:

 

  • Lead the financial modeling and analysis supporting investment decisions for project development, acquisition and divestment opportunities in line with ENGIE guidelines
  • Provide valuation and structure guidance throughout the business development process, advise on commercial agreements, risk allocation, bankability of contracts, financing and expected investment returns
  • Coordinate valuation, tax, accounting, reporting, financing matters across all aspects of the project

  • Understanding: Deep knowledge of investment, acquisitions, and divestments, including valuation methodologies, risk allocation, and transaction structuring.

Job Overview 

  • With EEA selling its products on credit to hundreds of thousands of individual customers every year, EEA’s Customer Finance function plays a key role in the success of the business. 

  • The Global Customer Finance function supports EEA’s operating entities on credit product design, workflow enhancement guidance, portfolio management tools and capacity building. 

  • Within the Credit Operations Team of the Global Customer Finance function, we work on operational standards, workflows, systems and tools for EEA’s dedicated call centers, field teams and back-office teams to help support customer repayment. 

  • The Head of Credit Operations is a senior manager in EEA’s Global Customer Finance department. She/ he has an integral role in advancing EEA’s CF function through her/ his responsibility for EEA's financial services strategy and the development and management of related credit operations as well as for motivating and managing a team of dedicated professionals. Beyond, and in close co-operation with the Country Directors, senior managers of the Commercial and Digital functions and the Head of Customer Finance, she/ he is responsible for providing leadership, spirit and skills necessary for EEA’s CF operations teams in general, and Country Heads of CF in particular, to achieve their respective targets across the business.  

  • The Head of Credit Operations and her/ his team focus on achieving both effectiveness (in terms of management of timely repayment) and efficiency (in terms of overall ROI of credit operations activities) of EEA’s credit operations across markets.   • Credit Operations: Framework, Strategy and Standards. In alignment with the Head of Customer Finance enhance EEA's business case through an innovative, effective, robust, and customer-centric best-practice Credit Operations Framework and drive its implementation to deliver results:  

    • Credit Operations Framework. Develop and continuously refine EEA's Credit Operations Framework along the principles of commercial viability, subsidiarity, customer centricity, rule-based decision-making, and data-smart digitized workflows.  

    • Credit Operations Ownership. Own EEA’s Credit Operations Framework for implementation across the business. 
    • Financial Services Strategy. Drive the process of designing, implementing, scaling, managing and continuously innovating EEA's Financial Services Strategy (PAYGo plans, arrears-type loans, education loans, cash loans, insurance, etc.)

Build, manage and iterate industry-leading credit operations across all markets guided by the credit cycle, including the structure, framework, policies, systems, routines, and tools which enable Country teams to execute on agreed objectives, as well as related on-the-ground execution support. 

    • Cross-Functional Agenda:  

      • Financial Product Specs. Provide material support to Country teams in areas such as financial product design, pilot and commercial launch, policy and process, partnership management, performance review as well as customer-facing and back-end operations.  
      • Digital System Specs & Tools. Lead the CF team in translating credit operations workflow and standards into Digital infrastructure specs.

Qualifications and skills 

Experience: 

  • 12+ years of professional experience in credit operations and portfolio management; work experience in Sub-Saharan Africa in the off-grid energy sector is a plus

What You’ll Bring

  • You possess a High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years training or experience in trade practice of steam engineering.  Must operate intuitively from previous knowledge in troubleshooting gauges and instruments on equipment to bring about satisfactory operation
  • You must have a 3rd Class DC Steam Engineers License
  • You are capable of understanding and operating complex operation of high-pressure steam and chilled water systems which can be operated several ways depending on operational needs
  • You have experience checking chemical analysis of boiler, condensate return, chilled water and condenser water system.  Adjusting chemical treatment to specified ranges established by chemical treatment company
  • You will record and monitor equipment operating conditions and report or adjust as required to maintain safe and efficient operation

Job Purpose 

 

  • Responsible for the analysis of ENGIE Mobisol UK LTD financials in the country and circulation of the Profit and Loss for the departments and Country offices for both credit and product in consultation with the accounting team.
  • Responsible for the implementation of key structure and process to secure comprehensive monitoring of ENGIE Mobisol UK LTD Financials to enable making informed business decisions.

 

Responsibilities

 

  1. Financial model, budget, and budgetary control
    • Management of the Country budgeting and business planning processes in close cooperation with the cost controller (HQ) & Country Management team. 
    • Providing information about costs in the past, present, and future to the department/ area manager as well as to the Senior Management and Managing Director. 
    • Preparing Country cost center actual versus plan comparisons, validation & variance analysis (monthly, quarterly, yearly, and ad-hoc as required. 
    • Implementation and improvement of controlling structures and processes in close cooperation with controlling interfaces in the headquarters

    • Manage pricing tools and ensure that the tool is up to date and all key parameters for a standard price are met

    • Work closely with product, marketing, and commercial teams to understand business needs that could be driven or may affect product price and product profitability

What You Can Expect

Working remotely in the Northeast region, the Senior Photovoltaic (PV) Technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of a large number of solar projects.

 

These are smaller scale projects currently the largest is about 5 Megawatts (MW). As the Senior Technician you will be supporting projects and clients throughout the Northeastern United States.  In this region we are split between ground mount units and commercial rooftop units. We do not do residential work. Knowledge of IT and SCADA would be beneficial. You will have gained strong customer service acumen, discussing scheduling of preventative maintenance, problems found and recommending options or requirements to repair or maintain the customers equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work performed at client locations follows client and ENGIE’s required safety protocols. This position will require extensive travel with some overnight stays. Due to the remote nature of some facilities this position requires a valid state issued Driver’s License, and the ability to operate company provided vehicles.

 

Every day you’ll prioritize safety in everything that you do. You will be traveling to client sites, driving your Company provided truck. Servicing both ground arrays (up to 5 MW) owned by municipalities or corporations and smaller rooftop systems at some of your most recognizable retailers. Typical tasks are cleaning and testing panels, troubleshooting inverters, servicing, or updating networking / SCADA hardware/ software. You will be discussing service and upgrade options with the Regional Service Manager, and clients in the field, both on the phone and by completing detailed service reports explaining findings, actions taken and recommendations for future maintenance and upgrades.

 

  • Respond to trouble tickets
  • Develop work scopes for service work orders on repairs issues
  • Perform scheduled annual preventative maintenance services for PV systems
  • Review annual preventative maintenance service reports to identify issues that require corrective action
  • Provide feedback to the Regional Service Manager and plan the corrective action for scope of work
  • Maintain detailed expense records for all service calls including parts costs, tools, mileage, and timekeeping

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience root cause analysis and repair of arrays and inverters; you will have learned to abide by and understand the safety requirements of the NEC electrical code, NFPA70 and OSHA 30
  • Developed expertise in PV design, installation, and/or maintenance
  • Troubleshooting experience with PV systems starting with the review of the PV System performance reports and then troubleshooting the underperformance issues as well as outages by troubleshooting arrays, inverters, and networking systems to the root cause
  • Ability applying technical requirements to commissioning, troubleshooting of solar electrical generation systems, and monitoring communication equipment
  • Experience in complying with contract terms as stated by an O&M and/or Performance Guarantee contract; specifically pertaining to the maintenance to be performed on customer sites with respect to customer safety requirements, DOJ Livescan and site access terms and conditions
