Purpose of the Job: 

To support the successfully delivery of projects and on-going departmental business objectives as requested. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the successful delivery of system implementation projects through the provision of high quality input into the planning, design and testing phases. 
  • Use complex data sets to construct and develop financial models and reporting that is robust and auditable.  
  • Support the successful delivery of departmental process improvement projects including those closely related to highly transactions areas. 
  • Deliver Management Information as requested including the implementation of on-going reporting processes and ad-hoc management requests. 
  • Support the management accounting process as required including forecasting activities and monthly financial closes.  
  • Support financial reporting processes as required including supporting the monthly financial closes and statutory accounting preparation processes. 
  • Development of process documentation and policies to ensure business change is understood by key stakeholders. 
  • Support on-going external audits as required including group and statutory audits. 
  • Adherence to internal processes and risk frameworks including INCOME and ad-hoc internal audit assignments. 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree level or equivalent 
  • A fully qualified Accountant from a recognised Accountancy Board 
  • Proven post qualification accountancy experience in a dynamic professional environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to apply professional expertise in a commercial environment 
  • Proven ability to support business process and system change. 

Skills: 

  • Highly numerate 
  • Able to analyse problems and identify solutions using Microsoft Office tools 
  • Able to analyse data using tools such as SQL and capability to handle large data sets, such as via a cloud based data lake environment 
  • Ability to control and correct high volume ledger systems 
  • Reconciliation of complex accounting data sets 
  • Able to report financial issues to a wide-ranging audience 
  • Proven ability to produce work under tight deadlines 
  • Demonstrated practical approach to problem solving 
  • Able to manage conflicting priorities 
  • Preferable knowledge of the Energy industry

Purpose of the Job: 

The role of the IT Service Administrator within the UK IT team is to support the UK IT team to conduct general IT service management and procurement activities, ensuring processes follow the correct governance processes, and to produce reports and statistics relating to the overall management and delivery of IT services to its customers across the UK. 

This role is for 3 months with a possibility of extension.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raise purchase order requests ensuring they meet the requirements of the authorisation, and they are coded correctly 
  • Log and resolve purchase order and invoice queries in a timely manner, ensuring suppliers are kept updated 
  • Work closely with Finance Teams to understand the effect of the Procurement role and its impact on these areas within the business 
  • Identify areas for change which will result in a smoother flow of costs processed and liaise with the relevant areas to implement that change 

IT Service Management 

  • Deal with ad-hoc queries and requests from employees regarding IT Service Management 
  • Run reports and produce KPIs to support T&G UK IT management 

General 

  • Support the administration activities for the wider UK T&G IT team 


Qualifications & Experience:

  • A-levels or equivalent, or suitable experience 
  • Experience working within a support function providing support to customers and wider functional teams, ideally within an IT environment 
  • Experience of dealing with stakeholders in a customer service and / or delivery setting

 Tus principales responsabilidades serán: 

  • Supervisar los trabajos asociados a la obra civil del Proyecto.
  • Asegurar que se cumpla las especificaciones técnicas y los planos de ingeniería de detalle.

Job Purpose/Mission

  • Hands-on, senior level competency of full-stack software development using relevant front and backend frameworks

What You Can Expect

Bring tax expertise to the retail energy business unit by researching and applying tax law and regulation in a variety of business situations. Employ business communication skills and judgment to resolve tax exemption discrepancies and answer customer inquiries. Manage the accurate and timely review and application of customer tax exemption documentation, exemption-related refunds, and tax reporting.

 

  • Perform transaction tax research concerning the taxability of electricity usage for customers located in multiple jurisdictions and validate exemptions claimed.
  • Review and approve submitted Commercial and Industrial customer tax exemption documents – ensure documents are stored in compliance with data retention policies and laws.
  • Calculate and apply tax exemption adjustments and submit for approval, as required and according to company Delegation of Authority policies.
  • Maintain clear, thorough documentation with supporting tax research for all tax adjustments and complete assignments timely.  
  • Provide tax guidance to field offices, Business Control, and third-party vendors regarding the applicability of state and local sales & use tax rules to specific fact patterns and work with them to resolve transaction tax issues.
  • Assist with any required reconciliation of tax general ledger accounts.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Minium of 2 years relevant retail energy industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, General Ledger software, Tax research software and Retail Billing software. SAP experience preferred.
