The IT department within ENGIE Generation Europe consisting out of 7 entities: infrastructure, network, workplace, cyber security, digital, SAP ERP & operational technology (OT).  

We are planning to scale up our cybersecurity team. In this context we are looking for a young motivated cyber security enthusiast in order to take up various challenges and to increase the cybersecurity maturity within our power plants. You will work within an international team of cybersecurity specialists.

 

Depending on your specialization, you can expect the following tasks:

  • Develop and implement awareness-raising and training measures on the topic of information security.
  • Create and harmonize information security guidelines and regulations.
  • Monitor the implementation of information security measures and manage IT security incidents.
  • Carry out compliance assessments, on-site or remotely.
  • Conduct risk analyses and advise on cybersecurity measures.
  • Advise and support on cybersecurity requirements in projects.

 

 YOUR PROFILE

 

  • You hold an University degree (M.Sc. / B.Sc.) in IT, IT Security, Automation Engineering or a related degree program
  • Ideally you have initial experience in IT/OT security
  • Good technical understanding of the design and operation of IT components and IT processes
  • You speak and write English and knowledge of any other language is an asset

What You Can Expect

As our Project Management Director, you will need to be located in the Upper Midwest US with close proximity to a major airport. You will be responsible for the oversight of operational performance and delivery of energy projects located in the Detroit Metro area and upper Midwest region.   Projects are executed through a design-build-transfer or ENGIE asset-owned model. Every day, you will report to the Regional Operations Director of Distributed Energy Solutions focusing on the industrialization of activities inclusive of operational monitoring, refinement of key performance indicators (KPIs), and process improvement to operational activities to achieve given targets. The Director will have connection and involvement within all aspects of the engineering design and operational delivery process, as well as provide performance oversight on activities inclusive of forecasting, cash management, commercial development, and the expansion of the business into new geographies and/or market segments. Collaborating with the Sales team, you will evaluate and qualify opportunities and participate in customer presentations and interviews during the development phase, including Board and Council meetings as needed. As the primary customer contact during the development and implementation phases, you will ensure complete customer satisfaction with ENGIE’s services.

 

You will manage all technical aspects of project development, including scope development, savings analysis, and constructability of measures. Assigning tasks and responsibilities within the project team, you will document project progress. You will also create, edit, and review external deliverables, such as customer reports and contract documents, as well as internal documents like risk review packages and deal review documents.

 

Partnering with Legal and Finance, you will qualify vendors/subcontractors and negotiate all customer/vendor contracts and change orders. Coordinating with ENGIE’s construction manager and vendors/subcontractors, you will establish and monitor project schedules, making necessary adjustments and communicating changes with all stakeholders. You will manage installation budgets, approve revenue and expense invoices monthly, protect project cash flow by ensuring timely customer payments, and complete monthly forecasts. Ensuring all projects are properly set up and documented in Procore throughout the implementation and at project closeout will also be part of your responsibilities. You will coordinate with post-construction teams for savings guarantees and maintenance activities, ensuring a smooth transition at the end of construction.

 

You will primarily be working with public sector customers on infrastructure, renewable, and energy conservation projects. The bulk of your work will be with municipalities, K-12, and some higher education. Your ability to consistently deliver expected results will be a testament to your effectiveness as a leader in this role; setting metrics and objectives for your direct reports that align with company strategy and financial goals are essential.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance or related field; or a combination of related experience in the clean-tech industry inclusive of time pursing related education
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Project Management or similar experience
  • A strong understanding of energy analysis as well as engineering design in energy-related disciplines
  • Proficient in analyzing ECM costs and savings, and a thorough understanding of all ECM technologies being proposed
  • Experience in the low-carbon clean-tech industry, with preference for individuals whose roles have interfaced with solutions including but not limited to solar photovoltaic, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and energy efficiency activities
  • Extensive and proven knowledge of and experience in data construction management tools
  • Proven experience setting metrics and objectives for direct reports consistent with Regional and Company strategies and team financial objectives

  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the time with the need for some overnight trips

Compensation

Salary Range: $146,300-$224,135  annually   

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.  Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

General Overview:  

The Energy Supply division of ENGIE is responsible for providing, Energy Supply, Power Purchase and Demand Side Response (DSR) as part of delivering the transition to Zero Carbon for our customers across the UK. The Proposition Developer will support the Head of Product Development and wider Propositions

The role works with all the teams within Energy Supply Division to support the creation of strategies and product development roadmaps and delivery of new products and services. This means the role will work closely with key stakeholders throughout the division to ensure that we have products and services that can support growth within the UKBU.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the product development roadmap, ensuring plans are well defined and communicated, and measurable.
  • Good relationships within Energy Supply and with wider stakeholders especially subject matter experts.

  • Create customer focused propositions utilising customer insight and customer experience indicators to support development

De Kerncentrale Doel – afdeling stralingsbescherming is op zoek naar een junior ingenieur met een passie voor nucleaire detectietechnologie, die gemotiveerd is om aan de slag te gaan in de nucleaire wereld. Je helpt toestellen en meettechnieken in dienst te nemen om op industriële schaal potentieel (niet)-radioactief materiaal te meten en te karakteriseren, je neemt de nodige maatregelen zodat de verschillende (ontmantelings)projecten vanuit het oogpunt van stralingsbescherming op een veilige manier kunnen plaatsvinden en je ondersteunt de uitvoerende teams stralingsbescherming via opleiding en instructies zodat zij grote projecten correct begeleiden tijdens hun uitvoering en de nieuwe meettoestellen en installaties correct uitbaten, testen en onderhouden. Op deze manier zorg je er mede voor dat de ontmanteling en de verdere uitbating van de kerncentrale Doel op een veilige en efficiënte manier verlopen.

 

Na een eerste inwerkperiode sluit je in het najaar 2024 aan bij het Nuclear Trainee Program en/of volg je een postgraduaat stralingsdeskundige. Via deze intensieve opleidingsprogramma’s vervolmaak je je nucleaire kennis en word je opgeleid in de belangrijkste onderdelen van de levenscyclus van onze nucleaire centrales. Het opleidingsprogramma omvat ondermeer: Nuclear fundamentals en nucleaire veiligheid, levensduurverlenging Doel4, Decommissioning, stralingsbescherming, radioactieve afvalstromen, project management, etc. Dit programma geeft je ook de kans om je professioneel netwerk uit te bouwen.

 

Tot slot krijg je doorheen je hele loopbaan toegang tot diverse opleidingen om jouw soft skills en leadershipcompetenties te versterken.

YOUR FIELD OF ACTIVITY

As a Contract Specialist for Hydropower and Water Resource Projects, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Preparation and Compilation: Assist in or take full responsibility for preparing and compiling prequalification and tender documentation for the construction of hydropower, dam, and major water resource development projects. This includes Employer-designed, design-build, and EPC type contracts based on FIDIC standard conditions of contract (Red Book, Yellow Book, Silver Book, Pink Book, Emerald Book, and occasionally Gold Book and Green Book).
  • Support During Tendering: Provide support to the Employer during tendering, tender evaluation, and contract negotiations.

  • Bachelor's degree in energy engineering, natural resources engineering or related field.
  • Min 5 years of experience in the Renewable (Wind or Solar) projects including project realization and follow-up.
