As the Regional Operations Manager, for this the West Texas region you bear the responsibility for overseeing total employment, training, schedules, safety, and the day-to-day financial operations of three (3) Solar project sites. In your capacity as the head of safety, it is imperative to ensure that all permits and reports are current, valid, and in compliance with both federal and state regulatory agencies. You will be tasked with the management of vendors, subcontractors, maintenance, budgets, and consultants, coordinating efforts with third parties. You will also be responsible for managing and reporting on Profit and Loss responsibility for regional performance.

 

Your managerial role extends to leading a team comprising eleven (11) Solar Technicians and Groundskeepers.  Utilizing systems like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), you will monitor daily asset performance and regulatory compliance to meet standards set by organizations such as the National Electrical Reliability Council (NERC). Your responsibilities involve utilizing various computer-based systems, ensuring the timely update and maintenance of all documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional management may be necessary to provide reports on the status, progress, and development of various projects on-sites.

 

  • You will need to provide technical and management support for the design and operations of the solar sites
  • Must be willing to attain substation technician certification within 12 months of hire date
  • Carries out all responsibilities under environmental legislation to prevent environmental spills
  • Cooperates with internal and third parties regarding safety and regulatory compliance and responds to their recommendations in a timely manner
  • Due to the amount of travel needed for outages, emergencies, and site management you will be required to reside within 50 miles of an ENGIE site within the region (Anson, Gail, Alpine), TX.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Technical diploma/high school diploma and seven (7) years’ experience in a related industry where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership, management, communication, organizational, operational and prioritization skills
  • Minimum of three (3) years previous experience in supervision of technical, operating or maintenance personnel
  • Working knowledge of solar power generating equipment and technologies and substations to identify, categorize and troubleshoot
  • Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and full-face

  • This is a field position requiring regular travel to client site(s)

Compensation

Salary Range: $115,560.00 – $196,765 USD annually

What You Can Expect

The Project Management Senior Advisor will be a part of ENGIE’s Central Capital Projects Team based at Georgetown University’s campus. This position is responsible for the planning, development and execution of large and critical capital improvement projects related to the utility infrastructure systems at Georgetown University. These systems encompass the production and distribution of chilled water, heating hot water, and steam, along with the electricity and natural gas networks. The Senior Advisor will have overall responsibility, risk-management, and accountability of the large project.


 

Daily, you will manage the project team including internal staff and external consultants with the functions required to deliver a large industrial project on time, on budget, and without health, safety, environmental, and public relations issues. You will lead construction contractors, qualified equipment vendors, suppliers, and design/engineering firms to ensure successful completion of the project as well as overseeing the design and construction contracts of heating and cooling distributions replacement, and in-building equipment retrofit with assistance from legal counsel and contracts administrators. You’ll follow and improve ENGIE’s project management and reporting processes through all phases of project development and execution. You will liaise and coordinate all design, construction and commissioning activities with related ENGIE and Georgetown University staff. Other duties include managing scope, schedule, budget forecasts, resource requirements, risk registers, and other components of the project. You are flexible and adjust to changing business and project conditions. You develop and present alternative solutions to problems, and recommend a course of action to maintain project scope, schedule, and budget. You measure project performance relying on KPI’s for engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and start-up and report monthly, identifying variances and taking corrective actions to achieve project objectives. You will hire consultants, external contractors, and internal employees to successfully complete this project and provide regular reports to ENGIE management and summary reports to Georgetown University. You provide lateral and direct management to ENGIE employees supporting the projects; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with all state, local, and university entities.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in which you have gained a foundation of Project Management skills, business communication, and effective leadership.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of proven experience in project management of large campus utility infrastructure projects or similar industrial construction projects
  • Expert level acumen in financial and contractual aspects of capital projects in addition to technical and organizational structures

Your daily responsibilities begin with accessing tasks via SCADA, Maximo, or various SAP software systems and repairing, troubleshooting, and fulfilling technical repair work orders for solar panels. You will manage documentation, update parts inventory, and as well as submit on-site status reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, and initiate work orders for equipment repairs.

 

  • Coordination of high voltage switching activities with local utilities and independent system operators (ISO), which includes tasks like substation operations, equipment lockouts and grounding
  • Adhere to safety protocols such as conducting Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety meetings
  • While you will primarily work independently on-site, there will always be a nearby technician for safety support; the site's team comprises of a site manager, a Balance of Plant technician, and the solar technician. You will also be a part of an on-call rotation for outages and emergencies; therefore, you must reside within 50 miles of the site.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum two (2) years diploma in a technical program where you have learned AC/ DC electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors

What You Can Expect

As our Senior Accountant, you will oversee general ledger accounting and reporting for renewable entities in both their development and operational phases. Your responsibilities will include managing monthly and annual closing processes for assigned entities, preparing journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, performing variance analysis, and compiling management reports. This position is based in Houston, TX, and you will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

 

  • Perform accounting and reporting tasks for the Renewables group, including preparing monthly operating reports and managing cash flow
  • Develop processes and drive continuous improvement, coordinating requirements across the organization
  • Interface with external auditors, preparing financial schedules and fulfilling audit requests
  • Assist the Performance Control Analyst with annual budgeting and long-term forecasting, and tackle ad-hoc projects involving complex accounting concepts as needed

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ of relevant accounting experience in Financial Reporting, Account Reconciliations or related field
  • You are CPA certified or in progress towards certification
  • You have strong accounting and financial reporting skills, complemented by expertise in Microsoft Excel and a solid proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, SAP or Cartesis
  • You are knowledgeable in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and understand tax equity structures, which is a significant advantage in our global financial operations
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, essential for effective financial analysis and decision-making
  • You are deadline-driven with the ability to plan ahead, ensuring smooth and efficient close processes that meet strict timelines

Compensation

Salary Range: $74,500 – $104,500 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Experiență, calificări, cunoștințe și abilități:

 

  • Studii superioare finalizate în domeniul energetic/construcții/instalații;
  • Experiență minimum 1 an în pregătirea, depunerea și obținerea avizelor și autorizațiilor necesare pentru implementarea proiectelor;
  • Cunoștințe de operare MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Bună cunoaștere a standardelor, normelor și legislației din domeniu;
  • Permis de conducere categoria B;

Purpose / Mission

The HR Director at ENGIE Energy Access (EEA) is a high impact leadership position that will deliver EEA wide HR projects, support country HR Leads in finalizing projects and provide senior level HR business partnership. The right candidate is business savvy, with high expertise in the people and hard skills required for a highly functioning HR function.

This candidate will provide hands-on support to deliver on projects themselves and support the wider HR team in delivering on their projects. The successful candidate will have proven experience in leading disparate teams in multiple locations, providing mature support while leading by example. The job holder will also be responsible for leading the dissemination of company values to the entire team while working to restore confidence in the HR function. The future incumbent will be able to deploy and successfully steer implementation and execution of the ENGIE HR strategy, policies and processes, and so be a professional member of the ENGIE HR line.

Scope of Work

Strategic Leadership of the HR Function:

 

  • Define the HR Strategy for EEA in line with the ENGIE group HR strategy.

  • Support EEA CEO to create a safe and enabling environment within EEA Senior Leadership Team.

  • Be the link between EEA and Transformation & Geographies and Flexible Generation & Retail GBU and/or Regional Hub and/or ENGIE HR filière.

  • Implement change management to achieve business and people goals/outcomes.

  • Bring the HR, people, and culture perspective into key executive decisions.

  • Drive and oversee workforce planning and lead organizational development projects that align with the business strategy.

  • Provide strategic HR support, including leading the charge and addressing difficult Talent/HR issues with senior leadership at EEA.

  • Provide leadership for the full HR line within EEA and develop and implement the ideal HR structure and resource plan to most effectively meet team and business objectives.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Define and continuously improve the employee value proposition and EEA reward policy.

  • Finalize and launch the remuneration policy in line with the ENGIE Group policy, launch salary structures for all markets, and ensure implementation.

  • Lead the compensation and benefits committee.

  • Oversee a regular salary benchmarking exercise to ensure competitive positioning of EEA in our markets and provide business insights.

  • Oversee job grading process and policy and ensure that job grades are communicated to all EEA team members.

  • Connect and implements ENGIE Group policies.

 

Employee Engagement and Culture:

  • Finalize the operationalization of the EEA Culture (incl. country and entity specificities) and make it living in collaboration with the EEA Head of Communication

  • Support EEA CEO driving Engie and EEA culture within EEA Senior Leadership Team

  • Drive employee engagement across the organization by creating active feedback channels, ensuring regular engagement surveys are conducted, supervising the team to implement meaningful action planning based on the findings.

  • Lead the dissemination of findings from the engagement surveys and drive communication to the wider team on the survey results and the proposed action plans.

  • Support cultural transformation through deployment of Group programs (Be.U@ENGIE , DEI Roadmap, Engie Ways of Working, Engie Ways of Leading) across EEA. 

 

Talent Management and Leadership Development:

  • Design & implement the talent development strategy to deliver professional development and growth opportunities across all EEA employee types, including skills development, learning and development programming, career pathing, and succession planning for key leadership roles

  • Build and implement leadership development and coaching programming

  • Design and Implement meaningful performance management across the organization to ensure that we have a good understanding of our talent, can effectively identify and reward top talent, and address cases of underperformance

  • Design recruitment, succession planning, and mobility programs to ensure business continuity and that we have the right skills and people to achieve business goals

  • Connect with Flexible Generation & Retail & Group processes (ex: People & Position Review process)

 

Data and Tools:

  • Implement follow-up on any Group HRIS & related processes (ex: Sezame)

  • Propose and implement additional HR tools supporting our activities and not covered by Engie’s solutions (Leaves, expenses management)

  • Create an HR repository of data that is and remains the single source of truth for HR matters

 

HR Business Partnership:

  • Improve HR’s and standing with the rest of the business, providing clear guidance and direction on all HR matters in support of the business.

  • Provide HR business partnering support to the Leadership Team and Country Teams

  • Manage and mitigate senior level ethics risks N-1 and N-2 level

 

Country Team HR Support:

  • Lead, mentor, guide and develop in country HR leadership to deliver key business objectives

  • Work with country HR Leads to ensure that our internal policies support our people-forward approach while being compliant to labour laws across different markets.

  • Define and roll out unified EEA HR Policies and an EEA employee Handbook that provide guidelines to HR practitioners across EEA.

  • Provide nuanced HR support to all markets as required.

 

Knowledge and skills 

Experience:

  • 10+ years working experience in talent management and development

  • 10+ years experience in operational HR functions

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Experience in both “hard” and “soft” HR specifically job grading, remuneration package design, payroll management, etc.

  • Successful experience as Talent Director or similar role with at least regional or global oversight

  • An understanding of multinational companies or vertically integrated institutions operating in multiple markets

  • Experience in company integration (preferred)

  • Working experience in Africa and Europe

  • Living/ practical experience in at least one country in Africa or similar market with Bottom of the Pyramid customers

  • Experience with Hay Job Grading or similar job grading methodology

  • Leadership and project management experience: we are looking for entrepreneurial candidates who have started or contributed significantly to a particular project, team, or new company and we especially value candidates who have seen projects through from start to finish, from design to scale up phase

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree or Masters.
