Description Du Poste

Vous interviendrez principalement de Bruxelles sur la centrale nucléaire de Tihange sur les principaux programmes nucléaires et vous serez acteur du développement des compétences en I&C au sein de Tractebel en agissant en interaction avec les équipes en Belgique voir en France.

 

Principales missions confiées

  • Réaliser des études de conception de systèmes I&C en interface avec les systèmes nucléaires.
  • Etudes de base
  • Définition, étude et modification d’architecture de contrôle-commande,
  • Etudes de remplacement et ou d’ajout de nouveaux instruments,
  • Choix multicritères d’instruments,
  • Analyses de robustesse au séisme associées aux différents équipements et en interface avec la qualification des équipements,
  • Élaborer des cahiers des charges, des spécifications techniques et des spécifications matériels,
  • Coordination et suivi des études détaillées menées par des fournisseurs
  • Etudier l’intégration des équipements selon les contraintes d’installation et d’utilisation en interface avec les équipes système et mécanique,
  • Veille technologique et choix des matériels à prescrire en fonction des projets,
  • Participer aux activités liées à la qualification des équipements (gestion de l’obsolescence, dossiers de prélèvement sur site, …),
  • Gestion des contrats avec les fournisseurs
  • Consulter les fournisseurs et suivi de ceux-ci,
  • Animer et / ou participer à des réunions / relation Client et Fournisseurs
  • Déterminer les coûts associés à la fourniture, au montage et la mise en service des installations,
  • Suivi des travaux : visites de chantier, réception usine, opérations préalables à la réception, levée de réserve, suivi de chantier etc…
  • Rédiger/Evaluer des programmes et procédures d’essais usine et site
  • Coordination et exécution des essais
  • Assemblage et évaluation d’ensembles de documentation
  • Capitalisation du Retour d’Expérience

 

Profil

Diplôme

Formation de base : Ecole d’ingénieur ou diplôme universitaire avec une formation en Instrumentation / Automatique / Informatique Industrielle / Electro-Mécanique

 

Expérience

Nombre d’années d’expérience minimum : 10 ans

Expérience sectorielle : Nucléaire / Industrie (pharmaceutique, ferroviaire, spatial, chimique, …) / Oil and Gas

 

Compétences principales

  • Compétences en Automation, Instrumentation et Contrôle-Commande : Architecture I&C, Instruments, qualification nucléaire d’équipements, systèmes de contrôle-commande de sûreté et / ou de sécurité.
  • Connaissances de base en électricité (RGIE, matériel électrique, principes du calcul de câbles et sélectivité, …)
  • Controle/commande de processus moyennant relayage et électronique discrète
  • Lecture et interprétation de schémas fluïde (P&ID), unifilaires et électriques
  • Instrumentation et lignes de mesure et impulsion (pression, débit, température, …)
  • Une expérience dans la gestion de contrats techniques (tant la partie technique que contractuelle) est souhaitée.

    • Ability to specify equipment and plant performance requirements including modules, inverters, SCADA, mounting structures.
  • A good understanding of the techno-economic life cycle and risk profile of a power project and knowledge in financial indicators for project follow-up
  • A reasonable understanding of power plant development, the IPP model and the associated Project Finance technical requirements and interfaces.
  • Experience in scoping the technical works, reviewing & evaluating technical proposals, setting & assessing the performance of the works, and providing lifecycle advisory, guidance and recommendations.
  • Experience in leading and project/contract managing technical workstreams and internal/external stakeholders to drive the overall project objectives.

Mission

  • You provide technical and economic activities – consultancy/ design – related to large renewable energy projects, including wind farms, solar/PV installations and biomass;
  • You use computer modelling software to produce designs and energy production estimates;
  • You prepare project plans, schedules of work and cost estimates for large renewable projects;
  • You liaise with stakeholders, as investors, suppliers, contractors and other engineering and science professionals;
  • You issue Design Notes, Drafts, Specifications, Technical Specifications and Briefs, Progress Reports, etc.;
  • You issue/collaborate to the quality assurance plan of your projects;
  • You carry out site visits and evaluations for new and existing renewable energy projects;

As the Program Manager in Houston, Texas  for ENGIE FlexGen (Flexible Generation including Storage, Thermal, and Hydrogen) North America you will be assisting in the coordination and management of a cross-functional technical group. What You Can Expect

As the Electrical Designer is responsible for creating electrical diagrams and site layouts for Electrical Energy Storage Systems utilizing lithium-ion battery technology, based on requirements established by the business team, internal guidelines, and energy industry standards including national fire protection association (NFPA855), national electric safety code (NESC), UL9540/UL9540A.   • Create Electrical Diagrams for medium voltage and low voltage power networks and communication systems

What You Can Expect

As the Senior Battery Engineer you will be responsible for leading battery energy storage system (BESS) project design development and the associated project execution engineering support functions. The goals of this position are to continue the development of energy storage power plant design standards, ensure current projects in construction and the development pipeline meet technical and business requirements while maintaining our long-term ownership focus. Additionally, you will bring experience with utility-scale energy storage design as well as the ability to manage complex and time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment while communicating effectively.

 

  • Every day, you will ensure the highest level of environmental health and safety (EHS) is incorporated in all electrical engineering and design aspects of BESS projects. You will also serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for energy storage design & engineering
  • Develop and enhance BESS technical specifications for battery enclosures, storage inverters, auxiliary power equipment, and BESS supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system
  • Leading BESS fire protection and safety code compliance reviews Review project specific power purchase agreement (PPA) requirements and develop engineering procurement construction (EPC) technical exhibits
  • Support BESS construction and commissioning to address engineering issues
  • Responsible for selection of electrical engineering consultants when needed to support BESS projects and manage their activities to ensure consistent criteria, cost effective designs and timely delivery
  • Work as the main liaison internally between different stakeholders/ business units- engineering, project development, procurement, to ensure seamless execution of projects
  • Establish and maintain the engineering requirements for all future BESS projects
  • Work collaboratively with the development and procurement teams in sizing and optimizing energy storage systems and augmentation
  • Provide technical support to project development and marketing groups for BESS PPA negotiation/contract execution
  • SME support on battery technology selection and new products
  • Oversee BESS plant design engineering activities and coordinate with “Owners Engineer” to support reviews of 30%, 60%, 90%,  electrical studies, and vendor technical submittals
  • Support the Development group during open houses or public meetings concertation on BESS technical questions

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or four year degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering; or related field
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in engineering, of which at least three (3) years in energy storage
  • Working experience in battery technology for energy storage applications
  • Knowledge in batteries and battery systems with focus on Lithium technology
  • Understanding of battery degradation and life cycle behavior in relation to BESS use cases
  • Experience in utility-scale ac and dc coupled energy storage power plants
  • Familiarity with medium voltage ac collection and high voltage substation designs
  • Knowledge of energy storage inverters and energy storage technology offerings and suppliers and basic understanding of associated BESS plant electrical studies

What You Can Expect

As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will bring technical expertise to a large operating fleet of wind and solar utility-scale projects, to maximize asset performance and reliability. You will be responsible for providing engineering support relating to wind and solar mechanical components, such as drivetrain systems, wind blades, hydraulic systems, generators, towers, foundations, fasteners, and solar trackers. You will adapt to site needs as they arise, tackling a variety of challenges using a continuous improvement mindset and collaborate with site and interfacing teams and own projects to improve operational efficiency. You may coordinate projects related to asset condition-monitoring, performance measurements, QA/QC monitoring, and new technology pilots.

 

  • Serve as first line engineering support to boost asset availability and solve operations problems. to meet KPI targets for equipment reliability and availability by using drawings and designs, operating experience, fundamental engineering principles, and more
  • Assess damage to major components, categorize severity, and provide repair or troubleshooting dispositions to the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)
  • Monitor and evaluate mechanical performance by examining and trending the results of various inspections,  monitoring systems, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system results
  • Provide timely and effective follow-up actions based on identified problems, trends, and root cause determinations
  • Serve as a technical liaison within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters
  • Act as a mechanical consultant to teams within ENGIE to verify dispositions of OEMs, 3rd party Independent Engineer (IE)’s, and independent service providers
  • Negotiate critical and controversial issues with top level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies
  • Support multiple wind and solar sites in both US and Canada
  • Make decisions and recommendations having significant impact on extensive engineering and related activities for the company
  • Identify and prevent equipment faults/failures using proven Root Cause Analysis methodologies, such as 8 Disciplines (8D) Problem Solving, 6-sigma etc.
  • Manage subcontractors during site maintenance activities as required
  • Evaluate and implement mechanical improvement and pilot projects
  • Develop the business case, economic justification, and budgets
  • Oversee the implementation plan: develop Request For Quotes (RFQs), evaluate bids and contracts, award Purchase Orders (PO’s), manage contractors and costs in the field, and monitor effectiveness
  • Develop scope, schedule, and review End of Warranty inspections for major components and file necessary claims with generation equipment OEMs
  • Participate and support site safety and environmental management systems; assure safety and environmental considerations are included in all activities
  • Manage mechanical engineering and repair documents to be accurate and of high quality and consistency across the North American fleet
  • Develop and present training, standard procedures, and technical documentation as required for safe and efficient operations 
  • Present technical information and results to site staff, management, directors and VP of operations

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in which you completed coursed in Mechanical Engineering 
  • Minimum Two (2) years of relevant experience   
  • Experience in the Renewables Energy industry
  • Experience in conducting root cause analyses
  • Knowledge of industry standards and recommended practices - The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), DNV/GL, The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), America Case Management Association (ACMA), etc.
  • Knowledge of mechanical operations & maintenance across multiple manufacturers (i.e. GE, Nordex, Acciona, Siemens, Vestas, Goldwind, etc) or repair contractors
  • Experience creating engineering tools using programming languages like Matlab, Python or SQL
  • Demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive engineering programs and activities
  • Manage one or more programs of complex diversity and scope which are of critical importance to overall company objectives
  • Possess strong planning, scheduling and project management skills with the ability to plan and work independently.
  • Possess strong computer and analytical skills, including advanced MS Office Product skills like Excel, SharePoint, and/or PowerBI
