Your job

Building Information Model (BIM) is a collaboration process involving the generation and management of an integrated digital representation (BIM Models) of physical (CAD) and functional characteristics (Data / Documents) of a Building / Facility, its Systems, Structures and Components.

The BIM Draftsman is generally responsible for developing optimum layout solutions and for implementing them in the BIM models and drawings. He/she performs the following tasks:

• Site visits / walkdowns: preparation, execution and reporting;
• Development of optimum layout solutions;
• Development and update of the BIM model (CAD and functional data) in accordance with project requirements;
• Interference management and delivery of the collision reports;

• You have full proficiency in Dutch and good communication skills in French or English;

This including, among others, the set up of strategies/methodologies for the characterization processes, the selection and procurement of measurement systems to characterize radioactive and (un)conditional release waste (packages), the definition of scaling factors/activities for different waste streams.

These activities are carried out for Electrabel as well as for other national and international Clients. It provides high-level engineering and consultancy services. The team interacts with the other teams of the Competence Centre (CC), with the other CC’s and the other Products of the Business Entity  Belgium Nuclear. Its members work in close relationship with the final Client and interact with the Safety Authorities and the radioactive Waste Management Agencies.

YOUR JOB

As ‘Nuclear Engineer Radiological Characterization’, you are responsible for the sound roll-out of all the projects, tasks and responsibilities entrusted to you. In close collaboration with your colleagues and your team lead, you contribute to the preparation of bids, the Engineering Studies and the projects in the field of Radiological Characterization.

Your responsibilities are:

•       - conducting radiological characterization studies according to the needs and the expertise level expected by the dedicated authorities;

What You Can Expect

The Senior Electrical Engineer plays a vital role in advancing energy conservation and renewable energy initiatives for public sector clients. You will advance renewable energy initiatives for public sector clients. You will oversee project design (solar photovoltaic, battery storage, microgrid, and utility interconnection) through development, design, and construction phases. Collaborating with Project Management teams and external contractors, you will develop design/construction packages, including interconnection requirements and lead photovoltaic (PV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and microgrid project design from conception to final construction, working closely with project managers, engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contractors, and Engineers of Record. Serving as Engineer of Record on small to mid-size renewable projects, you will help project managers navigate technical challenges, ensuring scope, schedule, and stakeholder alignment.

You will establish Interconnection Design Requirements and the Basis of Design for Solar PV, BESS, and Microgrid systems. Performing energy performance modeling using PVSyst software, you will create, review, and approve drawing packages at various design stages. Throughout the project lifecycle, you will interface with utilities, contractors, vendors, inspectors, regulators, independent engineers, and internal teams to address technical concerns and ensure design deliverables and schedules meet project requirements. You will review electrical calculations and provide field support during construction, supporting the project through testing and commissioning activities.

What You’ll Bring

• A Bachelor's Degree in an engineering related field
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience dealing with design or implementation of PV systems
• CA State PE License
• Possess working knowledge of current National Electrical Code
• Proficient AutoCAD experience required

As a Wastewater Engineer II, you will support the development and implementation of innovative wastewater treatment solutions for large-scale public sector projects. You’ll work closely with project managers and team members to design systems that help public agencies improve sustainability, reduce costs, and enhance services. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing project concepts, specifying equipment, estimating costs, and performing site audits to assess the operational impacts of proposed solutions.

You’ll collaborate on engineering design drawings and project specifications, ensuring projects meet technical requirements and client needs. From early development through post-construction, you’ll provide technical expertise and support to ensure successful project outcomes. You'll also participate in customer interactions to ensure solutions are tailored to their unique needs. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects in a dynamic, team-based environment, helping to build more sustainable communities.

In this position you must be willing and able to work at the Wastewater jobsite at least four (4) days per week in Richmond, CA. This is not a remote position and will report to the Director of Project Management.
