Description

 

  • Handling a project self-responsible in coordination and cooperation with functional manager
  • Preparation of all required reports, follow up documentation and correspondence of the projectsContract administration and claim management
  • Contribution in all project phases (planning studies, design, procurement, implementation, supervision and commissioning) with technical input within the area of technical expertise
  • Interface coordination with all related disciplines involved in large transmission and distribution projects (civil, mechanical, topographical, H&S, environmental etc.) and other stakeholders
  • Take an expert role on the different activities, from project delivery to junior coaching

     

Profile

 

 

  • University degree in electrical engineering (MSc/Dipl.-Ing.), further education is an asset
  • Fluent in English, excellent correspondence skill in contractual & technical matters. Fluency in other languages is an asset (German, French, Dutch, Spanish)
  • Readiness for regular travel abroad (1 week per month in average)
  • You are dynamic, creative, interested by high level expertise and team work
  • Experience in presenting and defending results to clients and interacting with several stakeholders (clients, partners, subcontractors, authorities, TSO,…)
  • Preferably previous work experience in technical consulting/engineering and experience working abroad
  • Profound theoretical knowledge of electrical engineering and practical project experience of minimum 10 years, including site supervision of electrical works
  • Design experience of electrical transmission & distribution facilities (e.g. high voltage substations primary equipment, protection and control, SCADA, telecommunication, high voltage overhead lines and cables etc.), capable to establish scope of works, bill of quantities and tender documents within the area of technical expertise, familiar with related international standards
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience on the projects related to utility scale BESS facilities
  • Experience in site and factory acceptance tests for electrical equipment and/or BESS, site acceptance and commissioning (especially for BESS containers and associated BOP equipment)
  • Battery energy storage systems knowledge on the following:
    • Topologies of energy storage systems and knowledge on the applicable terminologies and understanding (or willingness to learn) of performance criteria (technical/contractual)
    • Ability to stay up to date on the latest trends in the world of the energy storage community
    • Writing prefeasibility, basic design, and technical specifications
    • Understanding of the main BESS equipment and subsystems (Batteries (Li-ion), Power conversation system, MV/LV Transformers, General Balance of plant)
    • Assessment of different vendor solutions to perform tender comparison/evaluations
  • Additionally, experience in one or more of the following topics would be an asset:
    • BESS maintenance procedures and BESS appendices
    • Knowledge on root cause analysis of BESS incidents
    • Inverter related questions, such as grid following/grid forming algorithms
    • Knowledge on safety features, system design and system integration, international standards (NFPA 855, IEC) and other safety related elements
    • Ability to translate application requirements and grid code requirements to a project
    • Ability to guide customers to evaluate contract conditions (performance criteria) is a plus
    • Regulatory and Standards Compliance: Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes is important for ensuring compliance and safety in BESS projects. This may include standards such as IEEE, IEC, NEC, UL, and local grid interconnection requirements
    • Understanding the required installation and commissioning procedures that are applicable based on the relevant standards and good practices. Assessment of operation and maintenance of electrical equipment.
    • Knowledge on other battery chemistries
    • Analysis of BESS control features such as State of Health/ State of charge algorithms

Requirements

DE WERKOMGEVING

 

De afdeling is verantwoordelijk voor alle projecten met betrekking tot de studies en de aanpassingen van bestaande Belgische kerncentrales (Doel/Tihange), inclusief LTO-projecten (Long Term Operation). Deze projecten kunnen gaan van de pre-haalbaarheidsstudies tot de uiteindelijke indienststelling van de installaties, inclusief haalbaarheidsstudies, ontwerp, aankoop en on-site realisatieactiviteiten.

 

Binnen dit departement ben je verantwoordelijk voor projecten (studies en/of aanpassingen) met betrekking tot de kerncentrales in België, met een focus op LTO Ageing (EI&C, mechanische en civiele werken).

 

JOUW TAKEN

 

  • Je beheert / volgt het ontwerp en/of de uitvoering van het project op;
  • Je laat de ontwerp- en investeringsbudgetten opstellen en consolideert deze voor het project in zijn geheel. Je bepaalt het algemene tijdschema, je controleert de diensten die voor het project worden geleverd en je bewaakt de voortgang wat betreft het halen van de leveringstermijnen en de verwachte rentabiliteit;
  • Na overleg met de experts definieer je de taken en geef je je projectteam (dat je functioneel leidt) de bevoegdheid om ze uit te voeren;
  • Je organiseert vergaderingen met de klant en ondersteunt de klant, als partner, bij het leveren van de toegevoegde waarde van Tractebel aan het project;
  • Je verzorgt de interne contacten met de competence centers en ondersteunende departementen (juridisch, financieel, IT, risicobeheer, communicatie, ...);
  • Je coördineert de acties op de interfaces tussen disciplines en u controleert de adequate integratie van de verschillende specialiteiten in het project;
  • Je verzorgt de technische en commerciële contacten met de eventuele klanten en partners en je definieert waar nodig commerciële acties;
  • Je zorgt voor de relevante administratieve taken met betrekking tot de procedures met de ondersteuning van een Project Assistent;
  • Voor de projecten waar je bent aangesteld als 'Project Engineer', ondersteun je de Project Manager of Project Director bij het uitvoeren van alle bovenstaande taken.

 

JOUW PROFIEL

 

  • Je hebt een ingenieursdiploma ;
  • Je hebt minstens 5 jaar ervaring als projectmanager of assistent-projectmanager, en je hebt kennis van de processen van Engineering (opeenvolgende fasen, contractuele aanpak, ...)
  • Kennis van Belgische kerncentrales is een sterke troef ;
  • Je moedertaal is Nederlands en je spreekt vloeiend Engels ;

Context:

Internal Audit is responsible for periodic control. As such, GEMS Internal Audit Expertise Center (EC Audit) provides professional, objective and independent assessments of GEMS operations by delivering qualitative assurance audit and consultancy services, aiming at adding value and helping the organization improve the performance, efficiency and level of control of operations. Internal Audit verifies that inside practices and processes comply with established rules and regulations and makes recommendations to improve the control framework.

EC Audit’s covers the full spectrum of GEMS activities

 

EC Audit is a team of 7, composed of 6 Internal Auditors plus the Head of EC.

 

In GEMS organization & governance, EC Audit has a hierarchical link with GEMS CFO as well as with the Chairman of EGM Audit Committee and ensures its independency through a functional reporting line to ENGIE Group Internal Audit.

 

 

Role:

We are recruiting an Internal Auditor with a strong expertise in Energy commodity trading, Risk Management & Energy Management.

 

The Internal Auditor will be led to perform audit engagements on the full spectrum of GEMS activities. This wide scope covers Engie Global Markets (EGM), the banking-regulated entity regulated by the French Banking Authority ACPR, as third line of defense required by regulation, but also all Energy Management activities (Gas, Power, Renewables, …) as well as all BtoB Supply activities of GEMS.

The Internal Auditor could also be required to occasionally contribute to ENGIE Group Internal Audit engagements on Energy Management.

 

The position reports to the Head of GEMS EC Audit.

 

The Internal Auditor’s daily responsibilities will consist in conducting end-to-end audits as detailed below:

  • Validate the audit scope and submit the engagement letter in compliance with audit professional standards
  • Build a robust working program and obtain its approval by the Head of Internal Audit
  • Respect the planning and the deadlines
  • Lead the fieldwork and document the audit work in the testing worksheets by collecting evidence to support the audit conclusions
  • Prepare discussion notes and debriefing sessions and give adequate and correct feedback to all stakeholders and the Head of Internal Audit
  • Write an audit report in a synthetic way with clear and realistic audit findings
  • Alert in due time the Head of Internal Audit and the Management in case of any potential regulatory or significant risks that might affect the audit mission or the GEM business continuity
  • Collaborate with a good team spirit with the rest of the audit team on each mission
  • Work in a constructive way with the auditees, the Sponsor and more generally GEMS organization
  • Perform the follow-up of the audit recommendations and related action plans.

 

Auditors of the team act in turn as Lead Auditor on the various missions.

They are strongly empowered at all stages of the audit mission, from scoping and defining the work program to the fieldwork or report phase.

The position enables to work on very varied subjects, in diverse environments and is characterized by numerous interactions with very varied stakeholders, including the entity’s ExCom members or top management of the Group.

 

As part of EC Audit team, the Internal Auditor’s responsibilities also include contributing to :

  • Building the Audit Plan in line with the banking regulatory requirements (for EGM) and the International Internal Audit standards by applying a risk based approach.
  • Ensuring Continuous improvement of EC Audit’s methodologies and tools
  • Performing watch on regulations, standards and norms
  • Creating a constructive relationship with GEMS other control functions, GEMS management and all audited teams, as well as with ENGIE Group Internal Audit
  • Fostering a good team spirit and transversal collaboration within the team.

Within GEMS, the goal of the business platform Short-term Power as-a-Service (SPaaS) is to deliver services and value for clients on the Short Term Power markets, through strong business expertise and digital experience.

Within SPaaS, the CWE Real-Time Power Dispatching team manages the real-time commitment of the ENGIE power production in Central Western Europe (CWE), meaning Belgium, France, Netherlands and Germany.

 

We are currently looking for a Real-Time Power Optimizer in Brussels to strengthen our team. Your role will be to monitor and steer the ENGIE portfolio.

 

Your role :

  • Manage the contractual balance between the total power production and the real off-take of our clients; to keep this balance you will have to interact with the power plant responsible, the sales load forecasting team, and the power Transmission System Operator (TSO);
  • Optimize the portfolio positions and optionality in real time on the imbalance markets and maximize the value of the portfolio e.g. ancillary services contracts towards TSO, supporting the design of intraday activation strategies and provide real-time steering of flexible assets;
  • Intellectually challenging job with a mix of operations and project development;
  • A dynamic and innovative approach within a diversified environment active in multiple countries and multiple technologies;

FINOPS Transverse team in charge of managing transversal projects, lead & accelerate harmonization, improvement, automation and digitalization of FINOPS activities & processes.

As a member of the “QA/QC” section you will ensure that Vendors of Tractebel and/or its Clients deliver and install their products with the highest level of quality to ensure nuclear safety at all times. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the full supply chain in a practical and industrial environment and this in an international setting. You will work in close collaboration with your colleagues within the mechanical expertise domain (contract owners) and project managers.

You will be mainly in charge of the following activities:

  • Examination and approval of the Contractor technical manufacturing and installation files of various mechanical equipment (steel forgings, steel structures, rotating equipment such as valves and pumps, heat exchangers, piping, …).  You will verify from a quality control point of view the conformity of the fabrication documents to be in line with technical specifications and the governing construction codes and standards. You will typically intervene during review and approval of material purchase specifications, non-destructive examination procedures, welding procedures, heat treatment procedures, special manufacturing procedures. Knowledge of one of the following codes & standards is an asset : ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (section II, section III (nuclear related), section V, section VIII , section IX, ASME B31.1, ASME B16.34, …), PED, RCCM, ESPN, ....
  • Conducting quality control missions during manufacturing and installation of mechanical equipment. You will assess the conformity of the fabrication and progress during inspection missions at manufacturer's premises, site installation activities (Energy production facility sites such as but not limited to Nuclear Power Plants). You will verify that the goods are meeting the requirements set forth in the technical and upfront approved technical and quality assurance documentation.
  • Examination and approval of fabrication quality plans (PQP, ITP, …) in consolidation with the contract owner. You will be able to use your knowledge of industrial manufacturing process to define the quality surveillance strategy. Provide technical feedback in terms of the acceptance of non-conformities encountered during manufacturing without comprising the final quality of the product.
  • Issue inspection reports following the templates of Tractebel or its Client. You will inform the contract owner or report directly to the project manager of the outcome of your missions.
  • Support the organization with quality control expertise and become quality control lead in support of the contract owner on one or multiple projects. Within this role you will be in charge for overlooking Tractebel’s project quality organisation, developing specific methodologies and tools for the quality experts involved in the project (specific reporting, checklists, …), ensuring lessons learned are captured and implemented, verifying the content of inspection reports as to follow-up on related actions with the contract owner, assisting the QA/QC team group manager with staffing requests and organization (depending on the project scale).

YOUR PROFILE

  • Mechanical / Electromechanical engineer with min. 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes of mechanical equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves, pumps, …)
  • Experience in a product quality control environment with knowledge of destructive and non-destructive examination techniques (base materials and welds) is considered an advantage;
  • Good organizational and coordination skills;
  • Able to work with limited supervision;
  • Eager to work in an international context for short and long missions;
