The working environment

 

Within the Metier Nuclear Safety & Engineering, the groups Safety & Licensing Studies and Safety Implementation & SAR are responsible for the following activities:
Nuclear Safety-related requirement management for the projects;

  • Harmonized safety analyses for multidisciplinary nuclear projects;
  • Support to customers for drafting nuclear licensing and permitting documents;
  • Specific technical expertise, e.g.:
    • Calculation of radiological consequences;
    • Statistical Setpoint Studies;
    • Internal and external hazards studies including definition of the load case;
    • Determination of PIE’s (Postulated Initiating Events – internal or external), importance and prioritisation of PIE’s, choice of DBA’s (Design Basis Accidents);
    • Definition of the classification of systems, structures, components and;
    • Assistance to the client for writing, optimization and compliance of Technical Specifications;
    • Assistance to the client with respect to Integrated Management Systems (IMS);
  • Operational support and training in the various disciplines practiced;
  • Safety Culture : contribute to the understanding and implementation inside TE of nuclear safety principles;

 

 

 

 

Your function

 

As a Nuclear Safety & Licensing Engineer - Confirmed, you will work in several of the following domains: 

  • Safety Officer function within projects: assure the proper consideration of nuclear licensing and safety aspects in studies/projects; establish and manage safety requirements, analyze and ensure compliance with safety requirements, organize safety reviews, contacts with Safety Authorities;
  • Assistance to the client’s nuclear licensing process, including the establishment of associated documents such as PSAR and FSAR (preliminary and final safety assessment report);
  • Safety analysis and assessment, e.g.: classification & qualification requirements with respect to safety functions and items important to safety, radiological consequences studies, internal and external hazards studies including definition of the load case, determination of PIE’s (postulated initiating events) and DBA’s (design basis accidents), statistical setpoint studies;
  • Coordinating and coaching younger colleagues.

Your Profile

  • You have a master degree in Engineering;
  • You are a “generalist”, having knowledge of all technical disciplines within the nuclear domain, enabling you to discuss on safety aspects related to these disciplines;
  • You have minimum 5 years of experience with the general nuclear safety approach and general nuclear licensing preferably within the French or Belgian licensing process;
  • You speak and write French or Dutch on a professional level, and possess a good command of English;  
  • You have a critical and inquiring mind, you are dynamic, rigorous and pragmatic;
  • You have the capacity to develop personal contacts, thanks to your facilitating skills and mature, diplomatic communication;
  • You are able to write position papers and synthesis reports as well as clear safety positions and argumentation;
  • You have demonstrated capability in coordinating and coaching a team of younger engineers;

As a Pre-Construction Senior Project Manager in Westminster, CO, you will be responsible for fostering grid scale wind, solar, and storage projects through the pre-construction phase of project development.  Successful execution of this position requires clear and consistent coordination of multiple project stakeholders including developers, contractors, vendors, owners, and financing partners.

 

Every day, you will provide project management coordination and support for large and complex wind, solar, and storage projects during the pre-construction phase of the project. You will be responsible for the managing request for proposal (RFP) process for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services and manage commercial aspects of all project related contract negotiations. You will also support pre-construction activity including site studies, surveys, preliminary engineering, and estimating and internal project capital expenditure approval processes to secure budget for Project Delivery scope.   

 

• Coordinate and support internal stakeholders including development, engineering, interconnection, and power marketing teams with Capex input requests.

•Coordinate and manage key project stakeholders including Balance of Plant (BOP) Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor. 

•Support major equipment (modules, wind turbines, batteries, and substation) procurement processes.

•Participate in the negotiation of key project contracts including Major Equipment Supply Agreements and BOP-EPC Agreement. 

•Ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to plan.

•Continually assess project risk and maintain project Risk Register during preconstruction phase.

•Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all parties involved in the development and approval of the project. 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

• 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent combination of technical training

• A minimum of 2 years of project management, procurement and/or heavy construction experience 

• Experience with various project & construction management software tools, e.g., Procore.

• Demonstrated ability to be organized and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation

Missions

Le chef de projet est la tête de pont de l’organisation Tractebel et l’interface privilégiée du/des managers de lots d’EDF DIPDE. Il est également le manager opérationnel des Ingénieurs Projets, des leaders thématiques et des Chargés d’Etudes qui interviennent dans le périmètre de son projet. Il intervient en amont, pendant et après la réalisation du projet.

 

Missions

  • En amont de la signature de l’affaire :

    • Il pilote la phase de réponse à appel d’offre (rédaction des offres techniques et commerciales, revues d’offres, suivi de la réception de la commande…),

    • Il identifie les risques et les trace (techniques, planning, ressources, interfaces, capacité TE et cotraitants ou sous-traitants…),

    • Il est le garant de la bonne affectation des ressources et du pilotage des sous-traitants,

    • Il intègre l’affaire sur planisware (création du projet, budget, dépenses, sous-traitance, plan de charge, plan de facturation…) en s’appuyant sur le leader le cas échéant,

    • Il alerte le client en cas de risque identifié (décalage planning, surcharge non estimée à revaloriser, risque technique/stratégie projet..) et ce le plus tôt possible (en cas de risque financier et contractuel, le chef de projet prévient le directeur de projet en amont).

  • Au démarrage et tout au long du projet :

    • Il est le responsable opérationnel, contractuel, qualité et de rentabilité financière de son projet,

    • Il accompagne et fait monter en compétences les IP et CE sur leurs affaires (fiche de cadrage, process d’intégration PIAT610, données d’entrées de l’affaire, organisation de la réunion d’enclenchement…),

    • Il participe aux instances projets EDF (Copil de lot / Copil projet mensuels, cotech et RAA) et internes TRACTEBEL (réunions d’équipes, réunions plan de charge, revues financières…)

    • Il sait proposer et faire évoluer l’organisation de son équipe afin d’optimiser la gestion de son projet (capacité à affecter différemment les ressources, à faire évoluer leur charge par exemple),

    • Il est responsable de la bonne réception financière de son projet réceptionne pour Tractebel et ses co-traitants,

  • Il est acteur du développement des activités EDF pour Tractebel :

    • Il est force de proposition auprès de l’ensemble des équipes pour améliorer l’organisation et le développement de l’activité au sein de l’équipe,

    • Il s’assure de réaliser le reporting nécessaire auprès du Directeur de

    • Il participe aux entretiens de recrutement (interne et externe),

    • Il peut être amené à réaliser des entretiens annuels et de périodes d’essais de ses ingénieurs projets,

Vos challenges à nos côtés :

Dès que possible, vous rejoignez de l’équipe Opérations et participez au développement, à l’animation et au pilotage du réseau des partenaires installateurs ENGIE My Power. Vous avez en charge la planification et le suivi de la bonne réalisation des chantiers dans le respect du cahier des charges et des règles de l’art.

Dans ce cadre, vous êtes l’interlocuteur des installateurs partenaires tout au long du partenariat.

A ce titre vous êtes garant de l’image d’ENGIE My Power via le pilotage des installateurs et vous assurez l’adéquation du  niveau de qualité avec les attendus et le respect des engagements contractuels.

Les missions sont réparties en 4 principales activités sur votre secteur :

  • Planification et contrôle qualité des interventions (visites techniques, installations)
    • Envoi des ordres d’interventions selon un process défini ;
    • Préparation des dossiers techniques de poses (validation commandes matériel, etc.) ;
    • Validation des retours de poses pour mise en paiement des factures ;
    • Pilotage des coûts d’interventions pour maitriser la marge brute.
  • Suivi de la sécurité sur les chantiers
    • Accompagnement et sensibilisation des partenaires aux exigences sécurité ENGIE My Power ;
    • Réalisation de visites terrain pour évaluation de la culture sécurité de l’entreprise et du respect des exigences ;
    • Analyse des chantiers complexes à traiter pour création de plans d’actions.
  • Recrutements de nouveaux installateurs
    • Définition des capacités d’interventions selon le volume de ventes sur le secteur, afin de respecter les engagements sur les délais pour nos clients ;
    • Recherche d’installateurs sur le secteur pour compléter, si nécessaire, le réseau avec un cahier des charges strict ;
    • Onboarding opérationnel des nouveaux installateurs recrutés (process, fonctionnement, formation aux outils…).
  • Suivi contractuel
    • Pilotage des KPI quantitatif et qualitatif (délais de pose, taux de conformité, aspects financiers, etc.) ;
    • Suivi des documents constitutifs du contrat de partenariat (attestations QualiPV, assurances décennales, attestations URSSAF, etc.) ;
    • Négociations tarifaires annuelles.

Vous échangez régulièrement avec le bureau d’études ENGIE My Power et les équipes commerciales, afin d’assurer une bonne continuité de l’information et augmenter la satisfaction des clients.

Rigoureux et organisé, vous disposez d’un excellent relationnel, vous êtes soucieux de la bonne tenue des agendas et planning dont vous êtes responsables. Vous avez une capacité d’adaptation importante afin de suivre l’évolution du marché et des process mis en place.

Localisation

Le poste est basé à Mérignac. La nature du poste nécessite des déplacements terrains chaque semaine afin d’être au plus proche des équipes, contrôler la sécurité sur les chantiers et la bonne maitrise des techniques de poses par le réseau d’installateurs.

What You Can Expect

As the ROCC Operator I located in Houston, TX, you will be working under the supervision of the ROCC Supervisor and in collaboration with Engineering, IT and Operations stakeholders, to monitor and coordinate the Real Time operation of ENGIE’s 4.5 GW of renewable fleet of utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage assets across North America from the 24/7/365 Renewable Operations Control Center to ensure stable and reliable operation of generation facilities.

 

Every shift, you will complete daily monitoring duties, to include maintenance of a thorough operations log and completion of shift checklists, track progress using CROW software, and work through a customized orientation packet designed for onboarding ROCC operators at ENGIE.

 

  • Ensure the reliable operation of ENGIE renewable assets, to include maintaining continual communication with on-site personnel and Asset Managers
  • Implement and coordinate ENGIE asset outages as needed to support preventive and corrective maintenance
  • During abnormal system operating conditions or when sites have individual problems, evaluate the situation, direct and coordinate the solution in collaboration with on-site personnel and ROCC supervision

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have an associate’s degree in engineering or a relevant trade qualification (e.g. power system technician, protection, and control technologist)
  • You are willing to obtain a PJM Generation Dispatcher certification within 12 months of start date
  • You are eager to gain knowledge in wind and solar generation
  • You are familiar with power system equipment and technology
  • You are willing to gain knowledge on NERC Standards, both O&P and CIP, as they apply to Real Time operations and a medium-impact control center environment
  • You can identify and respond to plant and Bulk Electric System (BES) condition by modifying plant control setpoints for active and reactive power, isolating faulted power system elements and restoring forced outages
  • You can communicate and coordinate with other BES entities  Transmission Operators, Independent System Operators, and Reliability Coordinators
  • You can execute switch orders prepared by Engineering and issuing work clearances to field maintenance crews
  • You can dispatch field maintenance crews to investigate abnormal conditions, and log actions, communications, and abnormal conditions for future review

  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, modified DuPont model

Compensation

Salary Range: $78,208 – $119,891 USD annually

Project Development Manager - MISO Energy Storage Development

The Project Development Manager will be responsible for the development of utility scale battery storage projects across the Midcontinent Independent System Operator “MISO” market. In this role you will support the development of existing pipeline, new greenfield development, and project acquisition. Efficiently communicate complex development situations, and work through development issues from the start of development through construction.  Travel as necessary for siting, development and commercial activities as required to keep development on track.

 

Every day in this role you will be responsible for managing and supporting permitting, site control, interconnection matters, power marketing, design/ Engineering, Procurement, Construction “EPC”, financing and other matters critical to the development of energy storage projects throughout MISO.

 

  • Responsible for managing and/or supporting permitting, site control, interconnection matters, power marketing, design/EPC, financing and other matters critical to the development of energy storage projects throughout MISO
  • Manage/analyze information flow relevant to project development from internal subject matter experts and external consultants/vendors
  • Ownership of project inputs/assumptions and coordinating updates with respective internal groups
  • Manage project level progress, risks, opportunities, and economics while providing thoughtful analysis and risk evaluation
  • Drive decisions and prioritize allocation of resources based on a deep understanding of schedule dependencies and financial impacts
  • Maintain a rigorous understanding of the overall state of the energy storage market in MISO, including regulatory and competitive matters, to inform development decisions
  • Track project progress through key development milestones, managing schedules and budgets, and coordinating across disciplines within the Company
  • Manage and/or support due diligence activities for acquisitions
  • Manage negotiation of lease/purchase options and agreements for site control
  • Coordinate engineering activities in pursuit of permits and as required for interconnection matters
  • Work closely with engineering team in support of design and EPC process

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Construction, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Management, or another Analytical field required
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ relevant work experience and two (2) years of experience in energy storage or renewable energy development, preferably with experience in MISO or other Independent System Operator “ISO”, with experience in project management, permitting, offtake negotiation, interconnection, planning, real estate, and other matters critical to development
  • Demonstrated success and experience developing utility scale energy storage and/or renewable energy projects, within MISO or other ISO
  • Familiarity with relevant state, county and city codes, procedures and regulations required by local planning and building departments
  • Experience preparing, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements including development agreements, site control agreements, consulting and service agreements, interconnection, and power sales agreements, etc.
  • Ability to manage a large workload across a large portfolio, while prioritizing tasks and effectively managing competing deadlines
  • Detailed understanding of the MISO market or other ISO with particular focus on interconnection, regulatory and offtake matters
  • Ability to evaluate development status and efficiently inform critical decision making with management

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; and can work remotely if in California until we open the San Francisco, CA office or work our hybrid work schedule if in Houston, TX. 
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 30% of the time with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000.00 – $172,500.00 USD annually
