What You Can Expect

As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Senior Analyst, you will focus on financial analysis, reporting and budgeting for ENGIE North America's Regional Services and be responsible for cross-functional G&A analysis of Northam. You will support NorthAm's transversal analyses and carry out planning and synthesis assignments. You will collaborate closely, in particular with the following NorthAm teams: IT, Legal, Human Resources, Global Business Services, Procurement, and Finance. You will also work closely with the Engie Group support function teams in Paris. In this role, you will be a key member of the ENGIE finance team, ensuring understanding of financial performance against business and analytical drivers, analysis and reporting of accurate monthly and quarterly results for NORAM regional services management and Group reporting. Additionally, your monitoring of key financial indicators will provide early alerts to management and actionable information to drive regional services forward. This position, based in Houston, TX, reports to the Vice President FP&A. 

 

  • Direct the development of annual budgets, re-forecasts, and medium-term business plans (MTP), collaborating with other Business divisions ensuring consistency with ENGIE and partners guidelines
  • Under the supervision of the VP FP&A,  prepare supporting materials
  • Ensure the Regional Services and more broadly the NorthAm budget and MTP data is accurately and timely loaded into reporting systems identifying
  • Implement efficiency and control enhancing process improvements
  • Manage the monthly Group reporting processes, including thorough management analysis of P&L and Cash-Flow Statement components by portfolio
  • Lead or participate as the FP&A expert in cross-functional projects, as needed, which may include IT tools, processes, strategic transactions, or other initiatives
  • Support VP Head of FP&A on recurring transversal analysis (Cash Analysis, G&A performance) or ad’hoc transversal analysis

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Accounting or Finance or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in business financial analysis, financial reporting or accounting
  • Experience in energy markets and/or accounting knowledge would be a plus
  • Polished executive level written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of English
  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, SAP solutions (S4, SAC, BFC, Cartesis), and/or Power BI
  • Project management skills focused on meeting multiple deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Cross-organizational coordination skills ensuring on-time delivery of results and presentations
  • Self-motivated desire to work in a time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines, potentially outside of usual US business hours

 

 

Additional Details

Compensation

Salary Range: $74,500– $104,265 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

As the Associate General Counsel in Chicago, IL or Houston, Texas you will be responsible for providing legal support together with a team of legal professionals to ENGIE’s Energy Solutions Global Business Unit (ES-GBU) in connection with its distributed solar and storage business with provides solar, solar plus storage, and standalone storage solutions for C&I behind-the-meter, Muni-CoOp and community solar customers. You will also lead a team of legal professionals doing the same. This includes, support for projects from the initial prospecting stage through commercial operation and end-of-life repowering, retirement or transfer of such projects.

 

Every day, you will report to the Vice President & General Counsel to support for project and platform mergers & acquisitions (M&A), project financing matters (including tax equity and debt financing and cash equity spelldown); assistance in overall compliance with federal state and/or local laws and regulations; and such other transactional and contractual matters for ENGIE North America and it’s subsidiaries as may be required from time to time.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
  • You must be licensed to practice law in at least one state in the United States (preferably Texas or Chicago)
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of combined legal experience in the United States with a law firm or major corporate legal department; practice with a top-tier firm and combination of outside counsel and prior in-house experience with both energy transactional, solar, and storage project development and finance experience
  • Deep expertise in wholesale energy markets with strong communication skills is needed to perform this role
  • Ability to analyze complex business situations, taking into account business drivers, to develop risk mitigation recommendations in a commercially minded manner

What You Can Expect

As the Power Marketing Advisor, Commercial Structuring – Renewables the primary function of this role is to support ENGIE’s project marketing efforts to secure long term offtake for the company’s wind, solar, and energy storage development portfolio. The work entails analyzing new business opportunities in the United States and Canada, maintaining accurate and updated records of market analyses performed by the group, researching market trends, and providing insights on competitor activity, developing communication materials which highlight ENGIE’s capabilities and key attributes of potential product offerings, and cultivating new and existing customer relationships.

 

Every day in this role the Power Marketing Advisor will have significant analytical responsibilities working for the Structured Origination team in developing and maintaining a strong collaborative culture within the group and ENGIE, which shall include liaising with ENGIE’s risk management and energy trading groups.

 

  • Analyze wholesale electricity markets and evaluate new potential hedging opportunities, balancing a quantitative approach to evaluating risk with effective communication skills to explain complex hedging concepts concisely to stakeholders from various disciplines (finance, project development, operations, engineering, strategic management, etc.)
  • Help identify national industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers
  • Collaborate and coordinate with ENGIE’s project support teams from development, construction, operations and maintenance, procurement, finance, accounting, energy trading and transmission analysis teams
  • Provides structuring insights and risk mitigation analysis of new opportunities, including term sheet review and drafting, prospective project analysis, existing agreements, and incentive assessment
  • Coordinates the preparation of ENGIE internal approval processes

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field of study in which you have learned contracts management, negotiations, risk management, forecasting, financial modeling, power settlements, trading, and quantitative analysis
  • Minimum seven (7) years' energy experience, with a strong analytical focus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Commercial acumen in addition to deep analytic and/or technical capabilities
  • Ability to operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment
  • Strong technical writing capabilities, attention to detail and presentation skills

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100 – $147,660 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

The Supply Chain Analyst II (Renewable Energy) is a key contributor in ENGIE North American Renewables Engineering and Delivery team to support the selection and procurement of major category equipment for projects; the primary focus for this role will the commercial scale procurement across battery energy storage systems (BESS), wind turbine generators (WTGs), and Renewable Energy supply chain.

 

  • Every day in this role the Supply Chain Analyst will engage with suppliers to obtain and understand commercial and technical information needed for project qualification, system design, and levelized cost of energy (LCOE) analysis
  • Support the development of strategic supply relationship for ENGIE Renewables, working to secure and enhance the company’s competitive advantages
  • Support the negotiation of contracts to secure the supply of selected equipment, working collaboratively across internal stakeholders to ensure optimization of the solution and capture of lessons learned
  • Assist in administration of requests for quotes and information processes as required
  • Monitor vendor delivery and performance, support lessons learned, share critical information with other internal teams

 

 

What You’ll Bring

As our Asset Management Advisor, you will be responsible for managing key site contracts, including utility, management, storm, and bonds.   • Regulation and Reporting: Maintain knowledge of regulations, prepare commercial presentations for partner meetings and monthly reports, and communicate activities through dashboards

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related field

As our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Director based in Houston TX, you will lead the FP&A Flexible Generation team, which currently includes three (3) direct reports.  You and your team will focus on financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting for ENGIE North America's expanding Flexible Generation portfolio. You will collaborate closely with the Flexible Generation Global Business Unit (FGGBU) Asset Management, Operations, Partnership teams and our wholesale market facing Global Energy Management Services team (GEMS) to gain a deep understanding of operational profitability drivers, risks, and liquidity management. In this role, you  will be a key member of ENGIE’s finance team ensuring accurate monthly and quarterly results for Management, Partnership, and Group reporting. You will prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews for FGGBU Management and ENGIE Group Corporate reporting highlighting the business's performance and evolution based on operational and project-specific drivers. Your tracking of key financial indicators will provide early warnings to Management and actionable information carrying the FGGBU strategy forward. This position, reports to the Vice President of FP&A.

 

 

  • Manage and develop the skills of the FGGBU FP&A team under the Engie Ways Of Working policy
  • Direct the development of annual budgets, re-forecasts, and medium-term business plans (MTP), collaborating with other Business divisions ensuring consistency with ENGIE and partners guidelines
  • Under the supervision of the Flexible Generation Finance Business Partner (FBP) prepare supporting materials for and actively participate in partnership Board meetings
  • Ensure the FGGBU’s budget and MTP data is accurately and timely loaded into reporting systems
  • Identifying and implementing efficiency and control enhancing process improvements
  • Manage the monthly Group and partnership reporting processes, including thorough management analysis of P&L and Cash-Flow Statement components by portfolio
  • Align the FGGBU’s periodic P&L and cash re-forecasts with actual year to date results and updated business activity plans
  • Support senior management with ad hoc performance reporting and analysis
  • Lead or participate as the FP&A expert in cross-functional projects, as needed, which may include IT tools, processes, strategic transactions, or other initiatives

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, in accounting, finance or related field
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in business financial analysis, financial reporting, or accounting
  • Successful finance and strong accounting  experience in energy market
  • A CFA, CMA, CPA license or desire to achieve one
  • Polished executive level written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of English
  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, SAP solutions (S4, SAC, BFC, Cartesis), and/or Power BI
