We are looking for a Project Manager Renewable to support efficiently the expansion of our activities in Energy. You will be responsible of the complete Project Management Process and you will work in close coordination with the engineering team to reach the project developer’s expectations. You will evolve in an international environment and you will work in close coordination with other teams throughout the company in order to deliver projects at the highest quality standards.

Missions

 

  • You will report to the Head of Renewable.

  • You coordinate and manage the project team of the solar or wind projects allocated to you.

  • You share your expertise with your project team.

  • You take care of the contact with the Client and the project contractors.

  • You manage and monitor the planning, the budget, the safety aspects, and the technical quality of the project and regularly report to the Head of Renewable.

  • You manage the Procurement activities related to Tractebel's scope (tendering, contracting, and invoicing).

  • You take care of the technical-commercial optimisation of the project installations.

  • You manage the project scope variations related to the project, if any.

  • You participate in the preparation of the technical-commercial proposals.

  • Bachelor's degree in energy engineering, natural resources engineering or related field.
  • Min 5 years of experience in the Renewable (Wind or Solar) projects including project realization and follow-up.
  • Min 5 years of experience in the project management, preferably for EPCM and Owner Engineer services. 
  • PMP certification is an advantage. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration.
  • Good team manager with coaching abilities, an eye for detail and for meeting the Client’s expectations.
  • Knowledge in financial indicators for project follow-up.
  • Knowledge in legal term and contract management; master the risk management culture.

What You Can Expect

As our Steam Fitter I, at The Ohio State University, you will maintain, repair, and install system components for steam, condensate, chilled water, natural gas, heating hot water and associated components such as valves, expansion joints, flex lines, flanges, steam traps, check valves. Operate system valves for facility repairs and distribution, read and prepare sketches. Every day you will follow operating, safety and environmental standards, and  work as part of a maintenance team with a goal of decreasing downtime and improving efficiency. You will report to the Distribution Maintenance Manager.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • You have a minimum 2 years’ experience in piping system repairs
  • You can troubleshoot systems including but not limited to steam and condensate, chilled water, and natural gas meter settings
  • You are responsible for the installation and repairing of expansion joints, valves, gaskets, steam traps, pumps and other mechanical items found in utility distribution systems and plants
  • You will read drawings, complete layouts, cut/join and fit pipe tubing
  • You have experience maintaining condensate systems, installing, repairing, replacing, and modifying piping systems

  • You will possess a high school diploma / GED or equivalent
  • You maintain a Valid CFC-2 and CFC-3 license; or, a CFC-universal license
  • You have a Valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts Second Class Engineer’s License
  • You must be able to work internally in the physical plant and externally on the facility’s grounds or at satellite facilities
  • This role requires you to work a rotating shift this includes weekends and holidays as required
  • You may be required to work overtime (relief, off-shift, and emergency coverage) as needed
  • You have experience directing shift operators on the starting, control, operation, shutdown and inspection of high pressure boilers, combustion turbine generators, steam turbine generators, chillers, electrical distribution equipment, steam distribution equipment and all required plant auxiliary equipment
  • You perform regular inspection tours of the plant and distribution system including underground tunnels and electrical power systems; and prepares logs and other operating records including data collection via the plant computer
  • You will be training shift personnel in safety procedures and equipment use, plant operating procedures and environmental standards. 
  • You will support the implementation of corporate and plant training programs and monitor the progress of your reports towards completion of the program training
  • You must observe and comply with all standard safety codes and practices, and perform work in accordance with recognized trade and company standards and, where applicable, local, state, and federal laws including participation in the emergency response team
  • You will perform other related duties as required

Electrical Design Engineer with power electronics expertise (HVDC/FACTS)

 

As an experienced T&D Expert, you will contribute to the development of our power system activities. The power systems product focuses on supporting our clients in their challenges to plan and operate the power system in a reliable, sustainable and efficient way. Our clients include TSOs, regulatory bodies, power producers, industries and project developers around the world.

This team has a world class expertise in Power Systems and is the center of excellence of the ENGIE Group for all related topics.


 

Description

 

  • Autonomously performing the assigned project tasks in the area of expertise.
  • Preparation of bid proposals, and participation in business development activities.
  • Building and maintaining strong client and industry relationships.
  • Keeping up to date with state-of-the-art technology developments through participation in research projects and/or relevant industry working groups (IEEE, CIGRE, etc.)
  • Keeping track of the supply market and main industry players.
  • Coordination with the power system consulting and other teams in the group to address complex projects during all stages from feasibility to commissioning.


 

Requirements

 

  • University degree in electrical engineering (MSc/Dipl.-Ing.), further education is an asset
  • Fluent in English, excellent correspondence skill in contractual & technical matters. Fluency in other languages is an asset (German, French)
  • Readiness for frequent travel abroad
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Team performer, liaison and close coordination with the clients and partners
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS-office tools)
  • Preferably previous work experience as consultant and experience working abroad
  • Preferably 10 years of practical experience in high voltage power transmission projects in the area of power electronics, preferably on HVDC and FACTS, but BESS or RES experience will be also considered.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and codes.
  • Knowledge of system design including ability to manage interfaces with relevant equipment, such as valves, reactors, transformers, control and protection, telecommunication, cables or overhead lines, HV switchyard, firefighting, etc.
  • Experience in preparing technical specifications and tender documents for power electronics-based devices, evaluating bids, and performing design reviews.
  • Experience with following type acceptance tests (TAT), factory acceptance tests (FAT), and site acceptance tests (SAT).
  • Experience in the commissioning of equipment.
  • Ability to contribute in all project phases (planning studies, design, procurement, implementation, supervision and commissioning) with technical input within the area of technical expertise.

  • 8 years’ experience of mission-critical service management (e.g., critical environment infrastructure)
  • Excellent management and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams in operational environment.
