Context:

Within the ENGIE Group, GBS (Global Business Support) is the entity in charge of increasing the performance of support functions by massifying, simplifying, and industrializing the delivery of the most common services.

GBS is composed of 6 business supports: BS Legal, BS Finance, BS Human resources, BS Procurement, BS Real Estate and BS IT.

The BS IT (GBS IT) works closely with the Group digital and IT department to contribute to the Group's performance by securing and simplifying the processes and supporting the Group in its transformations.

Within GBS IT, the DGA Operations is in charge of executing the transverse ITSM processes supporting GBS IT operations.

To achieve that, the DGA Operations relies on "My Portal", a ServiceNow based application.

"My Portal" is also delivered as a service to other Group entities.

 

Job description:

The "My Portal" product owner is responsible for the successful evolution of the application, with a strong focus on functional consistency, data quality, process optimization and reporting.

He reports into the COO of GBS IT and relies on a small development team to deliver evolutions.

Main missions/Activities:

The product owner is responsible for:

  • Collaborating with transverse processes teams within DGA Operations and Group entities to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
  • Support the other GBS functions – mainly finance and procurement -  in the creation of individual products and processes and integrate these into the product roadmap
  • Defining the vision for the product
  • Creating a product roadmap based on this vision
  • Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements
  • Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development, to ensure overall product quality
  • Developing user stories
  • Proposing process evolutions to ensure better adequation while limiting bespoke developments
  • Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process
  • Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates

Description of the Role:

The Battery Energy Storage Technical Expert will serve as the referent within the company on all technical aspects related to battery energy storage systems (BESS). The technical expert will support project teams in technology selection, design, engineering, execution, and optimization of BESS projects in various geographies, ensuring successful BESS industrialization and standardization at ENGIE.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise and Support:

Provide deep technical knowledge on BESS design, engineering, execution, operations & maintenance.

Support project teams with battery technology selection, sizing, and system integration.

Recommend improvements to enhance availability, performance, reliability, and lifespan of storage solutions.

Process Development & Standardization:

Ensure compliance with all applicable ENGIE policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines for BESS.

Establish processes, protocols, and guidelines for BESS projects to ensure consistency and high-quality execution.

Continuously improve and refine processes based on lessons learned from past projects.

Industrialization & Scale:

Lead efforts to industrialize BESS solutions, driving scalability, cost-efficiency, and standardization.

Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and other industry stakeholders to leverage technical best practices and innovations, together with ENGIE’s teams (BESS Procurement & Digital, Laborelec Storage Lab).

Peer Reviews & Due Diligence:

Conduct and oversee technical peer reviews to validate project viability and ensure best practices are adhered to.

Lead technical due diligence efforts on new technologies, partnerships, or acquisitions in the BESS domain.

Training & Knowledge Transfer:

Mentor and train project teams on BESS-related technical topics, ensuring the consistent upskilling of company personnel.

PRESENTATION OF RENEWABLE GASES EUROPE

 

RENEWABLE GASES EUROPE (RGE) is ENGIE’s business entity responsible for the development of renewable and low carbon gases[1] production in Europe. Since 2015, ENGIE has been developing biomethane production activity. At the beginning of 2023, its portfolio includes 26 plants in operation, of which 19 are self-operated, with a total production capacity of 550 GWh/y @100% and a development pipeline of 1.4 TWh/y.

ENGIE is determined to become a leading player in 1G[2] biomethane in Europe. The ambition is to grow rapidly to reach 10 TWh/y of biomethane production capacity by 2030.

In Europe, outside France, biomethane production projects are already under development in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Poland and Italy. Spain, Portugal and Romania are other countries of interest. The strategy is to develop projects, greenfield and through M&A, to inject biomethane into the gas grid or to produce bioLNG.

POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION

Under the responsibility of the Head of Engineering, the 3D CAD Discipline Manager reports functionally to the Engineering Director.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The 3D CAD discipline Manager is in charge of the 2D/3D CAD design team and 2D/3D discipline. He/She supervises the designers placed under his responsibility and/or subcontracted designers.

 

Set up and manage the process team

  • Manage the 3D CAD team across the different engineering offices
  • Ensure the development of team competencies, in coordination with HR & Talents, through training, work experience and career development
  • Under the responsibility of the Head of Engineering, recruit and integrate additional resources- in collaboration with HR team.

 

MAIN DUTIES

  • Coordinate projects drawing production according to project managers schedule and priorities.
  • Be responsible of the 3D cad design delivery
  • Supervise and unify the team practices and quality level.
  • Maintain up to date the cad data base.
  • Animate and/or get involved in projects critical design review gateway meetings (Hazop, ALM, 3D progress…)
  • Identify projects constraints and organize the team production according to projects needs.
  • Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings, layout, isometrics.
  • Verify interfaces between disciplines and packages and is able to contact suppliers to alert/resolve/get additional details in order to meet the project schedule.
  • Report on a regular basis, the drafting production status and potential difficulties to project managers and engineering management.
  • Coordinate with other discipline leads and/or subcontractors, manage clashes between disciplines and/or supplier’s packages, tracks the progress and supervises issue resolutions.
  • Identify when issues has to be raised or arbitrated to/by engineering management.
  • Plan and monitors the workload and time spent by each CAD designers of his team or subcontracted,
  • Alert and suggest mitigation plans when deviation
  • Participate in standardization and industrialization work, and deployment of solutions,
  • Be proactive in choosing the tools and methods to implement,
  • Responisible for integration of 3rd party packages (zero point integration etc.)

 

HSE

  • Develop a safety culture during project design and implementation, both within the engineering team and contractors.
  • Ensure that “in design” HSE principles/practices/reviews are properly taken into account and followed.

Quality

  • Responsible of the quality performance of his discipline and the deployment of RGE Quality Management System.
  • Ensure that quality control processes are in place and reworks are minimized.
  • Lead non-conformance (NCR) management, ensuring that measures are taken to avoid repetition of mistakes. 
  • Enforce progressive compilation of red-line documentation and quality records.
  • Organize specific training sessions with the project team, suppliers and contractors.

 

Planning

  • Ensure day to day direction and prioritisation of all activities and functions within the discipline scope.
  • Ensure high quality and timely planning reporting.

 

LOCATION

  La Défense (92) France, regular travel to other engineering offices (in the Netherlands about one week per month) or to sites may be required (in Europe)

MAIN INTERFACES

QUALIFICATION, COMPETENCE & EXPERIENCE

The 3D CAD discipline Manager shall have the following competences and experience:

 

Degree and experience:

  • University degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background.
  • At least 10 years' experience in drafting and design of industrial projects (bioenergy, energy, chemicals, water/waste treatment) in an EPC organization, preferably on an international scale.
  • Good understanding of engineering and construction processes/standards (including planning, permitting, design and construction phases).
  • Experience coordinating multicultural teams, with preferably at least one period living abroad.
  • Advanced knowledge in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, REVIT, Navisworks.
  • At least 5 years of Team management

 

Languages:

  • Fluent in English and French
  • Ability to work with international teams.

Au sein d’une équipe pluridisciplinaire composée d’experts-es de la gestion de risques (Juridique, Contract Management, Data Privacy), en tant qu’Expert en matière de Données Personnelles vous apporterez un support incontournable pour la mise en conformité des contrats et des projets. L’équipe est rattachée à la Direction Corporate Functions (Secrétariat Général) d’Engie IT et à la Direction juridique du Centre de Services Partagés.

 

Ce poste fera de vous le point de contact privilégié des équipes opérationnelles pour la mise en conformité des contrats fournisseurs et des services utilisés au sein du Groupe. Vous agirez comme Business Partner capable d’identifier les risques et les évaluer pour proposer des solutions de mitigation dont vous suivrez la mise en œuvre.

 

Vos principales activités seront les suivantes :

  • Participer à la stratégie de protection des données personnelles d’ENGIE ;
  • Mettre en place et mettre à jour les politiques, procédures et bonnes pratiques ;
  • Contribuer aux actions de formation et de sensibilisation des collaborateurs ;
  • Instruire et mettre en conformité les traitements internes d’Engie IT et accompagner les grands projets du Groupe (ex : systèmes RH, Finance, Achats)
  • Négocier les clauses privacy et les annexes descriptives de traitement et assurer la conformité des relations contractuelles avec les Sous-traitants.
  • Agir aux côtés d’un chef de projet GDPR dans la démarche de privacy by design et by default en réalisant les entretiens nécessaires à la réalisation de Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) auprès des équipes métier, documenter les DPIA, conseiller les équipes projets sur les mesures pratiques à mettre en œuvre dès la phase de conception de la solution cible, présenter les résultats intermédiaires des DPIA à l’instance de gouvernance Privacy du Groupe
  • Travailler en collaboration avec les Data Privacy Officers et Data Privacy Managers des entités concernées par les traitements, les équipes juridiques, achats, sécurité etc.
  • Aider à la mise en œuvre des processus opérationnels des traitements en lien avec le DPM (exercice des droits, gestion des failles de sécurité en cas de data breach etc.)
  • Aider à la gestion de l’outil de registre de ENGIE IT ;
  • Instruire les data breach et le cas échéant réaliser les notifications ;
  • Gérer les demandes de droits d’accès des personnes concernées ;
  • Coordonner et consolider les reporting d’avancement de mise en conformité sur les projets du Groupe ;
  • Aider à la préparation des Comités tels que le Privacy Operations Committee, les comités privacy trimestriels et la Conférence Data Privacy annuelle.

Diplômé(e) en Master spécialisé en protection des données personnelles Vous justifiez d’une expérience d’au moins 7 ans au sein de grands groupes internationaux.

 Compétences techniques attendue :

  • Une parfaite connaissance et pratique des principes du Règlement Général de Protection des Données (RGPD) et recommandations de l’ECBP
  • Vous connaissez le domaine de l’IT et de la cybersécurité. Les mesures techniques et organisationnelles n’ont pas de secret pour vous

PRESENTATION OF RENEWABLE GASES EUROPE

 

RENEWABLE GASES EUROPE (RGE) is ENGIE’s business entity responsible for the development of renewable and low carbon gases[1] production in Europe. Since 2015, ENGIE has been developing biomethane production activity. At the beginning of 2023, its portfolio includes 26 plants in operation, of which 19 are self-operated, with a total production capacity of 550 GWh/y @100% and a development pipeline of 1.4 TWh/y.

ENGIE is determined to become a leading player in 1G[2] biomethane in Europe. The ambition is to grow rapidly to reach 10 TWh/y of biomethane production capacity by 2030.

In Europe, outside France, biomethane production projects are already under development in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Poland and Italy. Spain, Portugal and Romania are other countries of interest. The strategy is to develop projects, greenfield and through M&A, to inject biomethane into the gas grid or to produce bioLNG.

POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION

Under the responsibility of the Head of Engineering, the Discipline Manager Process reports functionally to the Engineering Director.

 

ACTIVITIES

The Discipline Manager Process is responsible for the following activities:

 

Set up and manage the process team

  • Under the responsibility of the Head of Engineering, recruit and integrate process engineers - in collaboration with HR team.
  • Manage the process team across the different engineering offices (all types of mechanical, biological and gaz processes used in RGE activities)
  • Ensure the development of team competencies, in coordination with HR & Talents, through training, work experience and career development

 

Ensure the production of process engineering deliverables for RGE projects :

  • Manage the process team workload and the adequate mobilization of engineers in project teams (teams reporting operationally to the project manager), at all stages of a project (development, design & procurement, construction&commissioning) to :
    • Perform Preliminary, Basic & Detailed Process Design including equipment design or specification, and sizing, production of heat and material balances, PFDs, P&Ids, preparation of process and equipment specifications and data sheets, drafting of commissioning and operating manuals...
    • Review / validate contractors’ and suppliers’ detailed design and plans for commissioning and tests
    • Follow up during construction&commissioning, supporting project team with site queries, interface management and change management
    • Ensure that the performance of plants is properly calculated and stretched in compliance with the project’s business plan

 

  • Depending on the project needs and the process team size, the Discipline Manager Process can have to produce himself all types of tasks related to project process engineering

 

Ensure the industrialization of RGE projects and engineering reliability throughout the project life cycle :

  • Integrate industrialization into project design: develop standard P&ID, Hazop, etc
  • Put in place the methods, processes, tools including digital tools guaranteeing the quality of the process engineering produced together with the respect of the project’s business plan, costs, and schedule
  • Ensure that above all, Health & Safety aspect of existing and new technologies shall systematically be taken into account in the process design
  • Ensure capitalization of lessons learned and continuous improvement of process engineering standards and practices

 

LOCATION

La Defense, regular travel to other engineering offices (in the netherlands about one week per month) or project sites may be required (in Europe)

Apart from the Engineering team, the Discipline Manager Process will interact with, among others:

  • Management of RGE
  • RGE teams Europe :  Project Management, Industrialization, Business Development, Operation, Procurement …
  • Suppliers and contractors
  • Other Group Engineering teams, Group Corporate : Knowledge Management Team …

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

The Discipline Manager Process shall have the following competences and experience:

Degree and experience:

  • M.S. degree in chemical engineering or equivalent
  • At least 15 years’ experience in process engineering positions in energy / water/waste treatment / process industry in an EPC contractor company
  • Experience with working in a project-oriented culture, based on collaborative, agile and innovative ways of working
  • At least 5 years’ experience in team management

 

Languages:

  • Fluent in English
  • French and other languages are a plus

Skills:

  • Leadership
  • Multicultural team management ; Good understanding of cultural differences and ability to manage them
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship/cooperation skills
  • Very familiar with Engineering entities / matrix organization
  • Change management skills, open minded and support for change

Key Responsibilities

In particular, the associated responsibilities include:

  • Support entity to assess his compliancy about Group data policy (the reference for any activity related to data and how data should be managed at ENGIE).
  • Build and apply the data strategy for the entity
  • Coordinating the data strategy activities : organisation communications between data stakeholders
  • Animate the data community and ensure the continuity of acculturation
  • Deploy and promote the Group data analytics ecosystem & capabilities
  • Support the Data Project manager on the management of data initiatives : Helping business actors  to  identify  data  use cases,  prioritizing  them, steering project and facilitating the communication.
  • Support the Data Governance Manager who is responsible for the data governance strategy & the governance tools provided.
  • Work with entities to understand their needs and to agree the scope of each data project
  • Conduct research and interviews and analysing data to gain insights into the business

 

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, data science, Data and analytics or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 or more years in analytics functions.
  • Deep understanding of the data management.
  • Experience deploying data strategy is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with business and technological stakeholders and peers alike.
  • Excellent abilities in leadership, communication, logic, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of Dataiku, Databricks, Collibra and AWS is a plus.
  • Ability to work in an agile way.
  • Experience and ability in using “soft skills” or “people skills”.

As an SAP Maintenance and Inventory Lead, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the maintenance and inventory processes within our company. You will work closely with technical teams, supply chain managers and end-users to ensure efficient and reliable operations.

 

Your main missions will be as follows:

 

  • Transverse coordination and team management composed of SAP experts on the functional domain

 

  • Close interactions with Business and our external partners to
    • Build trustful relationship
    • Assist them in cross GBUs coordination and mutualization as to build a BM core model for Maintenance & Inventory business processes
    • Assist them in business operational end-to-end processes and potential optimizations

 

  • Responsible for global deliveries on the domain as per project constraints : quality including documentation consistency and validation process, planning, budget
    • Peru pilot delivery on-time and on-budget is a priority including participation to related governance, adhoc meetings, reporting

 

  • Carry out reporting internally to its management and contribute to coordinating several project actors as well as technicians / IT experts

 

  • Take in charge with the team the analysis of changes to the SAP organizational structure and the implementation of new regulations in the areas of maintenance & inventory management for leagl puropses and compliance

 

  • Participate in cross-functional project meetings to promote an integrated approach to business process management

 

  • Ability to work in matrixial, cross-functional organizations

 

 

What makes you successful in this job

 

 

Must : good knowledge of SAP – modules PM (Plant Maintenance), MM (Material Management) at the heart of implementation of our core business operational processes; good knowledge of maintenance and logistics processes; cross-functional knowledge of SAP modules is a plus

Must : Fluent in English.
