What You Can Expect

As the Senior Advisor of Power Marketing (Renewables Power Origination) you will be responsible for originating new business in defined regions in the United States and Canada by developing new and existing customer relationships, communicating ENGIE’s story and key attributes of potential product offerings, and proposing and structuring renewable energy transactions for the company’s wind, solar, energy storage development portfolio. This role is an ideal growth opportunity for an ambitious self-starter looking to build on existing experience in the energy industry and help fulfill the company's renewable energy aspirations and growth strategy within North America.

 

  • Every day in this role, you will secure long-term power sale agreements with utilities and corporations to support the financing and build out of new renewable and / or energy storage projects.
  • Actively manage and build relationships with existing and new customers in the chosen customer market segments
  • Evaluate requests for bids, lead bid strategy and lead a team for bid preparation, competitive analysis and manage participation in procurement processes
  • Prepare proposals and presentation materials for customers and buyers
  • Seek opportunities and deal structures that allow for bilateral transactions with customers
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of power sale agreements
  • Drive transactions toward closure
  • Coordinate and lead internal approvals throughout the bid process, from initial offer to management approvals, including presenting to renewables leadership committee
  • Collaborate and coordinate with ENGIE’s project development and delivery team, and ENGIE personnel in other departments and business lines that engage with utility or corporate customers,
  • Ensure that the project attributes that are important to customers are shared with development team
  • Prepare template presentation and proposal materials for customers and their buyers to support the origination effort
  • Lead establishment of strategy, pricing, and structure of deals
  • Lead the internal support teams though all aspects of the complex sales process through to closing
  • Remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities in the United States and the national industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers
  • Define and enable the strategy for your region and play vital role in broader strategic planning initiatives
  • Represent ENGIE at national renewable energy events as speaker, panelist, and energy leader

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, or related field of study where you have learned contracts, negotiations, business administration, or similar based program

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in energy industry; preferably in renewable energy with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in power origination
  • A solid track record of success in a development or sales capacity in the clean energy sector securing long term power sale agreements on renewable energy projects with utilities and corporations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, structure, negotiate, coordinate, and execute power sale agreements together with internal and external advisors
  • Knowledge of the electric utility industry and electric energy markets
  • Working knowledge of Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) operations, electric transmission and power generation and storage technologies
  • Team first mindset, with focus on collaboration and ability to reach a common goal
  • Strong sales, networking, leadership, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Ability to prepare marketing materials, presentations and proposal materials needed to pitch origination opportunities to customers
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and high level of attention to detail

Additional Details

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,400 – $196,765 USD annually

As our Health and Safety Advisor in Houston, TX, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Health and Safety programs for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team, partnering with other Business Entities and Operating Companies’ and Health and Safety (H&S) staff to influence an organizational culture that leads to an injury free working environment. What You’ll Bring

  • Associates Degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or Business, certifications in OSHA Safety and Certified Safety Professional
  • A minimum seven (7) years’ Safety Management; with three (3) of those years’ experience in thermal power generation and energy distribution preferred
  • Subject matter expert in OSHA (US) CFR 29 Parts 1910 / 1926

What You Can Expect

ENGIE North America is hiring a Solar Technician for our Solar Site located in West Union, IL.  

 

Your daily responsibilities begin with accessing tasks via SCADA, Maximo, or various SAP software systems and repairing, troubleshooting, and fulfilling technical repair work orders for solar panels. You will manage documentation, update parts inventory, and as well as submit on-site status reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, and initiate work orders for equipment repairs.

 

  • Coordination of high voltage switching activities with local utilities and independent system operators (ISO), which includes tasks like substation operations, equipment lockouts and grounding
  • Adhere to safety protocols such as conducting Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety meetings
  • While you will primarily work independently on-site, there will always be a nearby technician for safety support; the site's team comprises of a site manager, a Balance of Plant technician, and the solar technician. You will also be a part of an on-call rotation for outages and emergencies; therefore, you must reside within 50 miles of the site.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum two (2) years diploma in a technical program where you have learned AC/ DC electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Solar generation sites, Wind generation sites, Thermal power plants
  • Manufacturing or Mining operations, or Controls & Industrial Maintenance
  • Must have or be willing to obtain certification by AVO as substation technician within 12 months of hire date

  • Provide leadership and ensure top performance in all areas of the project (engineering, Health Safety Environmental (HSE), permitting, regulatory compliance, procurement, construction management, project control, contracting)
  • Develop and manage all aspects of the project (scope, execution plan, resourcing, budget, schedule, risks, quality, interfaces)
  • Use your knowledge of Green Hydrogen (or related industries) to steer development of the project, keep the team focused and executives well informed
  • Use your extensive Project Management and Engineering experience to establish effective management process, systems and tools; Develop and own the Project Management Plan with all its elements
  • Engage internal and external teams and partners, align early and continuously, and manage  proactively any interfaces and risks (alignment sessions, project reviews, Value Improvement Practices, lessons learnt)
  • Proactively define the need, identify & mobilize resources, and manage progress on the technical deliverables for the various phases of the project
  • Work with Development/Finance team to accurately provide technical, production and costing inputs into project financial models
  • Lead the definition of the project’s procurement and contracting strategy, and management of the project’s procurement activities (tender documents, tendering, negotiation, contracting and invoicing)
  • Lead the definition of contracting and execution strategy, TIC estimates and master scheduling, negotiation of Engineering Procurement Construction (M) and engineering/consulting contracts; support negotiations of the Supply, Offtake or other type of contracts
  • Prepare and coordinate the technical hand-over to the Project Delivery team at project final investment decision  
  • Structure and budget the operation and maintenance of the project, inclusive of staffing and mobilization plan, interfaces with Operations & Maintenance vendor, Operations & Maintenance  agreements, KPIs, pricing structure and carry out other duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in engineering, execution and Project Management developing large greenfield process plants (Hydrogen, Ammonia, Methanol, Refining)

  • You are a skilled troubleshooter of utility and customer electrical systems
  • Up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and regulatory conditions, including utility requirements, vendor qualifications, industry best practices, safety standards, and relevant standards development

  • Proficient in verbal, written and electronic communications using tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to  create emails presentations and other professional communicate to Internal customers, vendors and other stakeholders
  • Experienced in building relationships and collaborating with project development, design, construction and operations teams facilitating smooth project execution and operation

 

 

Additional Details

  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 5% of the time with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record operation of company vehicles is required
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • This position consist of 20% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments or projects on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to climb ladders, and occasionally work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels and weather conditions

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $84,000 – $128,800 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
