What You Can Expect

As our Electrician II, at The Ohio State University, with the supervision of the High Voltage Manager & Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing duties as a highly skilled electrician in the installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of low, medium, and high voltage to 138,000-volt class electrical generation and distribution systems and equipment. You will report to the High Voltage Supervisor.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You will have high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience; computer literacy

  • You have a minimum 10 years work experience as a commercial/ industrial electrician, including 6 years experience in installation and maintenance of 600V class electrical systems; Or 6 years experience in 15000-volt systems; 3 years of experience & ability to install and maintain troubleshoot/repair 5000 & 15000-volt class electrical systems
  • You have knowledge of basic principles of electricity and related terminology; an ability to read technical manuals, schematic wiring diagrams and volt-ohm-amp testers       
  • You will assist Utility Electrician III or High Voltage Electrician with operation, installation, removal, cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of 15,000 and 138,000-volt class equipment consisting of underground cable vaults, cable duels, cable racks, cables, splices, terminations, equipment grounding, surge arresters, switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, motors; assist with distribution system switching
  • You may serve as crew leader; instruct lower staff on work to be performed; assist in training other personnel
  • You will direct and inspect contractor work in the installation of permanent and temporary power sources, inspects and monitors new electrical construction work for design standard and electrical safety requirements; direct and perform preventive maintenance and overhaul of electrical equipment in utility plants
  • You will perform equipment lockout/tagout; uses test equipment (multi-amp, strobe lights, probe, megaohm meter, hi-pot) to remedy and prevent problems
  • You will overhaul motors and replace bearings; operate cranes and/or lift vehicles to move electrical equipment; maintain substation battery banks, wiring systems, annunciator panels,  3-phase meters and circuit protective relays
  • You will read blueprints, electrical diagrams, technical manuals; update drawings and schematics, and design equipment (e.g. transformer table, battery rack, star cart, etc.) to perform tasks; maintains records and reports, performs other related duties.
  • You will plan jobs, order materials, inspect and diagnosis cable and equipment faults; troubleshoot electrical units by reviewing blueprints and schematics in order to develop a remedy; work on and troubleshoot any ENGIE operated utility systems including plants and distribution
  • Other duties as assigned by management related to safe plant operations, maintenance, reliability, and training while fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis

Compensation

What You Can Expect

Located in the San Diego area, the Photovoltaic (PV) Technician will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of numerous solar projects, primarily smaller-scale public works projects. Electrical safety and driving safety are critical in this role, and you will be expected to fully comply with all safety requirements and federal, state, and local laws applicable to this position.

 

As a PV Technician, your primary responsibilities include maintaining the performance of each photovoltaic project, responding promptly to trouble tickets, and performing corrective actions while maintaining detailed service reports. You will develop work scopes for repair issues requiring subcontracted assistance, conduct annual preventative maintenance services for PV systems, and use a field mobile application for accurate record keeping. You will review annual service reports to identify and plan corrective actions with the Regional Service Manager.

 

In this role, you will also be responsible for performing corrective repair services, maintaining detailed expense records, and creating and refining reporting systems for management. Other tasks include re-commissioning, site inspections, and any additional duties assigned by the manager.

 

You will work closely with the Regional Service Manager for daily tasks and directions and provide on-the-job training to apprentice electricians, helping them develop into safe, productive journeyman electricians. Ongoing communication with the Regional Service Manager regarding field activity status is essential.

 

Your work will predominantly be on prevailing wage projects, and all project work must adhere to the O&M and Performance Guarantee contract terms, especially concerning customer safety requirements, DOJ Livescan, and site access terms and conditions.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Must be a California Certified Journeyman Electrician
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience, experience with PV design, installation, and/or maintenance       
  • The position must abide by and understand the safety requirements of the NEC electrical code, NFPA70 and OSHA 30
  • The position must work very close with the  Regional Service Manager for daily tasks and directions
  • Provide on-the job training to Electrical apprentices
  • The position requires reviewing PV system performance reports and troubleshooting under-performance issues as well as outage problems at customer sites
  • Technical requirement of commissioning, troubleshooting of solar electrical generation systems, and monitoring communication equipment

  • Manage request for proposal (RFP) process for Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) services
  • Manage commercial aspects of all project related contract negotiations
  • Support pre-construction activity including site studies, surveys, preliminary engineering, and estimating
  • Support internal project capital expenditure approval processes to secure budget for Project Delivery scope
  • Coordinate and support internal stakeholders including development, engineering, interconnection, and power marketing teams with Capex input requests
  • Coordinate and manage key project stakeholders including Balance of Plant (BOP) EPC contractor
  • Support major equipment (modules, wind turbines, batteries, and substation) procurement processes

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of project management and procurement in utility scale renewable energy or heavy construction experience in renewable energy projects
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred. However, we welcome candidates with equivalent experience or other relevant certifications

The Director of Development will be responsible for the development of utility scale battery storage projects across California with an emphasis on locations in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles Basin. In this role you will be leading development efforts on portions of the Company’s ~9 GW existing positions, greenfield development, and project acquisition. Efficiently communicate complex development situations, and work through development issues from the start of development through construction.   • Manage/analyze information flow relevant to project development from internal subject matter experts and external consultants and vendors
  • Ownership of project inputs/assumptions and coordinating updates with respective internal groups
  • Manage project level progress, risks, opportunities, and economics while providing thoughtful analysis and risk evaluation
  • Drive decisions and prioritize allocation of resources based on a deep understanding of schedule dependencies and financial impacts
  • Maintain a rigorous understanding of the overall state of the energy storage market in California, including regulatory and competitive matters, to inform development decisions
  • Track project progress through key development milestones, managing schedules and budgets, and coordinating across disciplines within the Company
  • Manage and/or support due diligence activities for acquisitions
  • Manage negotiation of lease/purchase options and agreements for site control

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Construction, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental, Science, Management, or another Analytical field required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ relevant work experience and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in energy storage or renewable energy development, with experience in project management, permitting, offtake negotiation, interconnection, California Environmental Quality Act “CEQA”, planning, real estate, and other matters critical to development in California
  • Demonstrated success and experience developing utility scale energy storage and/or renewable energy projects in California
  • Familiarity with relevant state, county and city codes, procedures and regulations required by local planning and building departments
  • Experience preparing, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements including development agreements, site control agreements, consulting and service agreements, interconnection, and power sales agreements
  • Ability to manage a large workload across a large portfolio, while prioritizing tasks and effectively managing competing deadlines
  • Detailed understanding of the CAISO market with particular focus on interconnection, regulatory and offtake matters
  • Ability to evaluate development status and efficiently inform critical decision making with management

You’ll work closely with project managers and team members to design systems that help public agencies improve sustainability, reduce costs, and enhance services. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing project concepts, specifying equipment, estimating costs, and performing site audits to assess the operational impacts of proposed solutions.

 

You’ll collaborate on engineering design drawings and project specifications, ensuring projects meet technical requirements and client needs. From early development through post-construction, you’ll provide technical expertise and support to ensure successful project outcomes. You'll also participate in customer interactions to ensure solutions are tailored to their unique needs. In this position you must be willing and able to work at the Wastewater jobsite at least four (4) days per week in Richmond, CA. This is not a remote position and will report to the Director of Project Management.

What You Can Expect

As the Construction Management Advisor (CMA) in ENGIE, Distributed Energy Solution (DES) you will oversee ENGIE’s construction sites and subcontractors, provide baseline/milestone/look-ahead schedule, ensuring site safety practices, and uphold quality assurance/control measures are provided for the installations. As a Power Grid Modeling and Forecasting Advisor, you will report to Congestion Trading Director and will develop long term grid scenarios for the California Independent System Operator (CAISO)/Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) footprint and forecast nodal price curves using production cost modeling tools.

  • Develop systematic and repeatable approach to analyze and form fundamental views with respect to macro-trends
  • Analyze and determine drivers of Day Ahead and Real Time congestion market outcomes based on macro-fundamentals (supply, demand, renewables) and micro-fundamentals (specific transmission and generation outage impacts, bids, facility limits)
  • Identify model gaps by calibrating the model results to market outcomes and determine appropriate solutions
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to the enhance fundamental trading
  • Participate in Independent System Operator (ISO) meetings as appropriate and assess commercial impacts
  • Collaborate with IT personnel to maintain and improve relevant tools
  • Develop and maintain dispatch and flow models, communicating fundamental developments and views to stakeholders
  • Build models to track market fundamentals and regularly benchmark against actualizations
