What You Can Expect

As a Senior Credit Analyst – Wholesale in Houston, you will report to the Senior Credit Advisor and preform credit analysis, collateral management, Know Your Customer (KYC) and other credit related functions.

 

  • Analyze and interpret financial statements, rating agencies’ ratings and scores for the purpose of establishing, maintaining, or denying credit
  • Perform know your customer evaluations on various structured entities
  • Act as an interface to various commercial and sales teams to provide credit risk guidance and service via constant interacting on a day to day basis
  • Continually review and monitor counterparties creditworthiness and implement necessary collateral enhancements to mitigate credit risks
  • Manage credit support (guaranties, letters of credit, or cash deposits) with counterparties
  • Research credit events and industry news and events
  • Assist with communication of credit department policies, guidelines, training, etc. to ENGIE personnel
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrate ability to work well with others inside and outside of ENGIE Energy Marketing, North America
  • Carry out other duties as assigned
  • Act as a team member with all employees of ENGIE ENERGY Marketing staff
  • Comply with all ENGIE Energy Marketing policies and procedures

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in which you completed courses in accounting, finance or related field
  • A minimum 5 years of Wholesale Credit Risk Management experience
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize various commercial requests
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and other MS Office suite products

Compensation

Salary Range: $74,900 – $114,770 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

As a Credit Advisor – Know Your Customer (KYC) in Houston, you will report to VP Credit and perform know your customer analysis on large and small companies.

As the Principal Controls Engineer for ENGIE FlexGen (Flexible Generation including Storage, Thermal, and Hydrogen) North America you will be a key developer in a cross-functional development group. Within ENGIE’s dynamic environment, you will be expected to design, implement and test control algorithms for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Every day, you will provide input on controls, simulation and modeling development in a wide range of software development activities and occasionally be the sole development resource on a project.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Control Systems, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in developing controls systems
  • Expertise in developing controls code using CodeSys, MATLAB/Simulink or other PLC Programming platforms
  • Experience developing or working with  Human Machine Interface  development software such as Ignition, PanelView etc.
  • Strong understanding of network communication architectures, telemetry, and protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC-UA, MQTT etc.)
  • Knowledge of Software in the Loop (SIL) and Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testing paradigms
  • Experience with software development lifecycle tools and version control using GIT

Responsibilities in this role include the design of Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Measures, performing site audits, specifying equipment, and completing savings calculations to support projects in development and construction. Projects include a combination of energy efficiency measures and renewable generation installations, to help local cities and counties become more sustainable, save money, and improve services to their end-users.

 

The intern will support the City of Vacaville’s energy project as well as ongoing projects in development or in construction which will include but aren’t limited to the following:

  • Participate in technical design of energy-related customer improvements including such as solar photovoltaic (PV), energy storage, microgrids, energy efficiency, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) upgrades
  • Learn and apply knowledge of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Controls, including modeling software
  • Analyze utility data to verify existing customer loads, consider rate change options, and calculate energy and water cost savings
  • Perform renewable energy designs, including solar PV and energy storage system site surveys, and understand metering and measurement tools and data
  • Evaluate various types and locations of renewable energy systems

As our Asset Operations, Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for executing field response for reactive and planned maintenance activities of select operating standalone battery assets in Lubbock, Texas area.  You will also serve as a key company representative for maintenance scheduling and coordination with internal teams as well as 3rd parties. Every day you will be responsible for keeping the battery storage plants up and running, coordinate with various Original Equipment Manufactures “OEMs”, internal and external maintenance partners, provide hands-on troubleshooting of on-site technical issues, perform deviation detection and mitigation on the operating battery plants. You will communicate with internal departments, Performance Management, Asset Management, and Remote Operations teams to report any issues or needs and support issues resolutions coordinating with internal teams, OEMs and EMS providers. You will support reliability improvement plans via coordinating with in-house and third-party technical engineering staff.

ENGIE Global Energy Management and Sales (GEMS) is responsible for managing the portfolio of gas, electricity, congestion revenues rights and environmental products for ENGIE, across geographies. More recently, GEMS has extended his scope to also manage all the market risks (energy, congestion, Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), ancillaries) generated by the Renewable and Battery Storage Assets owned by ENGIE North America, which includes wind farms, solar farms, and storage units. The Power Portfolio Management team is precisely the group in charge of these activities.

 

The Battery Storage Portfolio Management group is the commercial operations management team responsible for energy storage optimization, analytics, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) modeling & financial management of the energy storage portfolio within the Engie Global Energy Management & Supply group. We are looking for an optimization engineer with a software development background to join our Energy Storage team.

 

As applications of energy storage resources continue to proliferate and evolve, our formulation of storage economics & objectives needs continual refinement to reflect this evolution. As the Senior Optimization & Analytics Advisor, you will report to Head of Battery Storage Modelling and you will formulate these new objectives, develop optimization methods, and collaborate with the team to maximize BESS revenue streams. You will also take the lead in the formulation of the priorities for the software development team dedicated to the Battery Portfolio Management group. 

 

You will be responsible for design, development & implementation of automated software solutions for monetizing energy storage & other market participation models by leveraging their knowledge and experience in mathematical programming, predictive analytics, power systems engineering along with the capability to software engineer the solution to leverage software platform technologies including cloud computing, distributed computing, numerical solver methods, and data storage infrastructures.

 

You will be interacting with asset managers, traders, facility operators, and risk managers to develop financial and operational algorithms/models that support trading & asset optimization decisions. You will work closely with GEMS IT development team to leverage your experience in data science and our expertise in electricity market fundamentals to optimize trade support products, perform performance benchmarking and stress testing of designed products, and ensure compliance of products to market rules and transactional requirements.

 

  • Develop algorithmic product solutions for physical & virtual assets Implement production grade mathematical code with performance benchmarking and unit testing to verify and validate outcomes
  • Determine key performance indicators for algorithmic products and contributes to monitoring and iterative product improvement
  • Implement optimization models for short-term operation and long-term valuation of battery storage resources
  • Work closely with IT development team to determine the data storage/access design best fit battery trade/operation
  • Prepare functional specification document to IT development team to industrialize proof of concept programs by Battery Storage Portfolio Management group
  • Provide constructive insights as product owner during the technical solution selection of the GEMS battery software platform

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent combined education and work experience
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of general business experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience developing analytics and/or optimization workflows
  • Experience with optimization modeling packages & commercial solvers such as PYOMO, CVXPY, or solver APIs (e.g. Gurobi, Cplex, Xpress)
  • Familiarity with time-series and relational database platforms (InfluxDB, MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL, Postgres)
  • Experience in collaborative software development environment (version tracking with Git, code reviews)
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, tested and shippable production code in Git, Python, and/or R
