What You Can Expect

As our Customer Engagement Data Analyst II, you will develop complex analytical tools for tracking performance across multiple business systems, including Sales, Partners, and non-commodity business sales. You will be expected to be proficient in Power BI and SQL for designing, developing, and executing reporting and analysis to support marketing planning, customer segmentation, and understanding customer behaviors. In this role you will create and maintain predictive forecasting models for sales targets, margin expectations, and goal development. Additionally, this role involves responsibilities such as extracting data, generating lists or leads using data mining techniques, and conducting statistical analysis for marketing campaigns. This role sits in the Houston, TX office and report to Director Analytics and Customer Engagement.

 

 

  • Develop targeted marketing campaign strategies, including data extraction and lead generation in data mining and statistical tools
  • Construct basic to mid-level statistical models using prospect databases to drive insights for lead generation
  • Maintain CRM system and prospect records for data accuracy and integrity, assisting with new account setup
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel, translating analytical data into actionable recommendations for revenue growth or expense reduction

 

 

What You’ll Bring

 

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or business intelligence were you studied data modeling, and data mining, Marketing degree or a related discipline where you gain knowledge in strategic marketing planning, pricing strategies, and data analytics 
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in data analytics, forecasting, performance reporting, campaign management, customer relationship management or marketing analysis
  • You have proven experience in predictive analytics and developing complex queries across multiple data sources
  • You are highly proficient in SQL programming and PowerBI Visualization tools
  • You are knowledgeable in understanding technical system documentation and interacting with IT resources
  • You will effectively work with cross-functional groups, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • You are proficient in written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 5% of the time

Compensation

Salary Range: $62,400 – $95,450 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

Within SPaaS, the CWE Real-Time Power Dispatching team manages the real-time commitment of the ENGIE power production in Central Western Europe (CWE), meaning Belgium, France, Netherlands and Germany.

 

We are currently looking for a Real-Time Power Optimizer in Brussels to strengthen our team. Your role will be to monitor and steer the ENGIE portfolio.

 

Your role :

  • Manage the contractual balance between the total power production and the real off-take of our clients; to keep this balance you will have to interact with the power plant responsible, the sales load forecasting team, and the power Transmission System Operator (TSO);
  • Optimize the portfolio positions and optionality in real time on the imbalance markets and maximize the value of the portfolio e.g. ancillary services contracts towards TSO, supporting the design of intraday activation strategies and provide real-time steering of flexible assets;
  • Intellectually challenging job with a mix of operations and project development;
  • A dynamic and innovative approach within a diversified environment active in multiple countries and multiple technologies;
  • Autonomy and accountability and have the ability to coordinate different stakeholders in the energy landscape.

What You Can Expect

As a Senior Actualizations Analyst in Houston, you play a critical role by ensuring accurate and timely data input within the Risk management system. Every day, you will collaborate closely with traders, risk management personnel, and Operations (settlements and IT) team to support trading activities related to forward energy, congestion, day-ahead/real-time and algorithmic trading products, ensuring data from settlement and Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems tie out with high precision.

 

  • Check the accuracy of the input and reconcile associated data related to the actualization of energy transactions, including trades, schedules, and settlements
  • Collaborate with traders and risk managers to ensure timely and accurate data entry
  • Monitor and validate data from Poweroptix (settlements system) and other sources being recorded in the ETRM system
  • Collaborate with market risk team to ensure they are represented correctly in daily P&L reporting
  • Work with Aligne/FIS Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems to ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies and exceptions related to energy transactions
  • Generate reports and provide insights to support risk management and governance activities surrounding the trading decisions
  • Provide business insights and collaborate with Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) IT to ensure actualization processes are running accurately
  • Act as a member of the broader Risk team to support other ad-hoc requests
  • Stay informed about market rules, regulations, and industry best practices

What You Can Expect

As our Mid-Office Settlements Advisor, you will be integral in estimating, reconciling, and explaining the revenue and cost of goods sold (COGS) for the retail business to management.   • Gross Margin Estimation and Reporting: At month-end, estimate gross margin by assessing volume, revenue, COGS, and hedge P&L. Collaborate with Portfolio Management to deliver accurate data to Accounting
  • Settlement Analysis and Adjustments: Analyze adjustments from previous settlement periods, acquire actualized data from Accounting, reconcile with month-end estimates, identify variance causes, and explain key drivers to management while ensuring billing pass-through revenue neutrality
  • Invoice Management: Assist with the validation and processing of utility and pipeline invoices, reconcile these invoices with internal records, ensure accurate and timely payment processing, and manage comprehensive counterparty settlements
  • Continuous Improvement and System Automation: Participate in, and potentially lead, continuous improvement efforts that may include the design, development, testing, and implementation of automated systems to enhance efficiency
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead or contribute to special projects involving transaction analysis, reconciliation, reporting, and audits. Actively contribute to the development of the Mid Office Settlements team and foster a positive working environment at Engie

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related field
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of Business, Financial Analysis, Settlement Analysis, Natural Gas Retail Supply or related field

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join a newly found “Data Team” to work on multiple uses cases linked to our Data Platform: Customer Business view, Green Energy Reporting, Meetering,  settelement,  etc  

 

Your responsibilities : 

  • As a Data Analyst, you form the bridge between product owners, customers and the technical Data Team. Through workshops and individual discussions, you will quickly familiarise yourself with the business domains, analyse the business questions and interpret correctly the business requirements.
  • You work closely with our business stakeholders: during the analysis, you form a clear picture of the business processes and requirements. You translate these requirements into Data Models design,
  • You contribute to the design of the dashboards and reports
  • You will engage with application owners and source data owners to draw out functional data flows. You possess sufficient technical baggage and are able to ask critical questions.
