What You Can Expect

The Grid-Scale Renewables GIS team is responsible for spatial data management, visualization, and analysis in support of ENGIE North America’s utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage platform. The GIS Intern will play a critical role in the renewables development process by supporting our cross functional teams in legal, land, engineering, delivery, and origination through map generation, database management, and spatial analysis. The GIS Intern, can expect to gain applied database management experience, exposure to current renewable energy policy, and an understanding of wind, solar, and battery storage project development.

 

 

  • Research, download, and process parcel boundary and constraints data; format publicly available datasets for renewable energy development
  • Digitize existing and planned infrastructure from aerial imagery and public reports; create project-level maps and exhibits for legal agreements
  • Support the web mapping platform, including developing web applications, construction trackers, and interactive dashboards
  • Identify opportunities and recommend improvements to existing workflows and templates; assist in developing standard operating procedure (SOP) and workflow documentation
  • Create project-level maps and exhibits for legal agreements

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Must be at least a junior or senior working toward an graduate or undergraduate degree in geography, engineering or related field of study
  • GIS background and experience with ArcGIS Pro and other ESRI products
  • Must have the ability to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

 

 

 

Additional Details

  • The internship work term will be from June 2025 to August 2025
  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy

Compensation

Hourly Range:  $25.50 - $33.50 USD hourly

What You Can Expect

As our Energy Storage Engineering Intern, you will support our Renewables Engineering group which supports the technical development, design, and construction of large energy storage projects throughout North America. As the Energy Storage Engineering Intern you will gain valuable engineering experience in the renewable energy industry.

 

Every day in this role you will participate in a variety of tasks related to the development, implementation, and improvement of energy storage systems.

 

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of battery storage systems, their components, integration, site engineering and construction
  • Participate in engineering design review for utility-scale renewable energy projects (wind, solar, and energy storage)
  • Participate in multi-discipline team meetings to further your understanding of different engineering disciplines and support development of engineering specifications
  • Learn about various stages and technical aspects of renewable projects (Power Plant Controller (PPC) Controller, Protection Relays, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition  (SCADA), Substations, Transmission, Underground Collection)
  • Attend site visits to support design review, construction review, and commissioning activities as needed

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. Must be at least a junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in electrical engineering with a minimum GPA of 2.8

  • General understanding of energy storage service and applications
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams

What You Can Expect
As Groundskeeper will report to the site daily and work as the main point of contact in keeping and maintaining the vegetation, such as but not limited to weed eating, using a medium size agriculture tracker, and using a box blade for road repair.  You will also oversee the regular scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting for the equipment and vehicles on site.  You will receive and report status updates on assignments and projects from the scheduling software on a computer terminal in the office. This work is completed independently amongst a team of technicians. Periodically you will be expected to manage and communicate with external contractors onsite to ensure compliance and safety.

  • You may be required to work to support solar technicians as needed for safety support other required assignments
  • You may be required to work on call as needed in site


 

What You’ll Bring

  • You must have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum 2 years work history using hand tools 
  • You will need to be able to drive a medium size agricultural tracker  
  • Must be able to active read and interpret information such as but not limited to instruments, gauges, and manuals
  • Able and willing to get certified in first aid and CPR

 


Additional Details

  • This role requires daily attendance at worksite 
  • Must be available to travel to other sites for trainings and assistance as needed per site local site development typically on a weekly basis. 
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record to drive on site and to other company trainings, events and meetings

As our Sustainability Project Management Intern, you will be responsible for supporting ENGIE’s Capital Projects team, concentrated on energy conservation and infrastructure development, maintenance, and academic collaboration projects for The Ohio State University’s Utility System. The primary responsibility for this candidate will be to assist in the execution of a sustainability competition hosted by the Ohio State Energy Partners. The ideal candidate has an interest in obtaining practical experience working in content development and design in the energy industry as well as assisting in various project management tasks.

  • You will collaborate with project managers and teams to create and execute print and digital materials, including fact sheets, infographics, flyers, presentations, construction signage, and reports and assist with procurement and invoice reconciliation for the Combined Heating and Cooling Powerplant project
  • You will design and disseminate marketing content for the biannual Smart Campus Challenge, interfacing with Ohio State staff, stakeholders, student groups, ENGIE personnel, and professionals
  • You will develop interfaces for energy conservation projects and sustainability initiatives, engaging with the Ohio State University community (students, faculty, contributors)
  • You will assess and respond to audience expectations with targeted material, optimizing existing content, and developing templates for consistent design formats, maintaining social media and digital media presence for various audiences
  • You will translate Ohio State Energy Partner’s message to meet marketing and communications needs, producing content for distribution within a 150,000-employee company, and completing other related duties

 

This position will report to the Project Coordinator Analyst. This internship work term will start on June 2, 2025, and end on August 22, 2025.

¿Cuál sería tu objetivo?

Coordinar y liderar proyectos de ingeniería de sistemas de Transmisión (Subestaciones en AT,MT y BT, Líneas de AT-MT, etc.),dentro de la Gerencia Técnica, abarcando desde el área de Soporte Técnico al Desarrollo y el área de Ingeniería, según se requiera. Con esta flexibilidad sus actividades podrían corresponder a la coordinación y liderazgo de proyectos durante fase de Desarrollo y/o Implementación, con el fin de asegurar la entrega de estudios y propuestas, realizando recomendaciones de diseño, revisiones de ingeniería, optimizaciones del CAPEX en los diseños, revisiones de cubicaciones, cronogramas, programación y control de las actividades técnicas durante la fase de desarrollo y/o implementación, control y gestión del avance de la ingeniería, validación de equipos primarios previa solicitud de compra, exigencia de cumplimiento  según los deadlines o hitos multables del proyecto, considerando los presupuestos asignados y estándares de calidad, normativa nacional e internacional, seguridad, medio ambiente, costos e indicadores definidos por la compañía.

 

Funciones:

  • Liderar y gestionar el correcto desarrollo y finalización de las Ofertas Técnicas, así como apoyar con la entrega de información técnica a otros stakeholders necesarios para el aseguramiento del cumplimiento de las Bases, así como proporcionar otra información requerida para poder participar en la Licitaciones con Ofertas Vinculantes (Contratistas, compras de terreno, Medio Ambiente, etc.). Todo ello manteniendo coordinación con la Gerencia Técnica y con la Gerencia de Implementación de Proyectos, contribuyendo en el desarrollo y estudio de oportunidades.
  • Gestionar, definir y revisar los proyectos que le sean asignados del portafolio, con el fin de liderar las tareas necesarias durante la fase de desarrollo, implementación o ingenierías Operacionales en su aspecto de ingeniería técnica, utilizando la experiencia interna de la Gerencia Técnica y del grupo Engie, todo lo anterior alineado con la estrategia y metas organizacionales.
  • Coordinar, revisar y/o elaborar bases de licitación para diferentes fines, como por ejemplo: 1) Contratación de proveedores para la elaboración de productos de estudios eléctricos e ingeniería. 2) Contrataciones de Contratistas, en modalidades EPC, EPC light o Multipaquete. Realizando y aportando la descripción del alcance, criterios y otros documentos necesarios para la correcta adjudicación. 3) Procesos de licitaciones públicas. Todo ello controlando y velando por cumplir los plazos establecidos en el cronograma maestro.
  • Trabajar de forma sistemática y según los estándares definidos por la Gerencia Técnica, con el fin de asegurar la correcta trazabilidad y almacenamiento de la información, manteniendo constante interrelación con el área de Proyectos, de Gerencia Técnica, Gerencia de QA&QC, Desarrollo, PMO y demás áreas de la organización, actualizado respecto de los requerimientos y modalidades de ejecución de las distintas licitaciones y proyectos.
  • Gestionar y validar la ingeniería (planos, documentos EE.TT, HCTG, de diseños de SS.EE) de los diferentes proyectos que le sean asignados como  líder de proyecto. Para ello deberá definir las características y requerimientos clave de los planos maestros, así como revisar los productos entregados. Garantizando el cumplimiento normativo, buenas prácticas de ingeniería y optimizando con conocimiento técnico para lograr los objetivos de la compañía asignados a Soporte Técnico al Desarrollo o el Área de Ingeniería.
  • Cumplir con las responsabilidad definidas en reglamento de roles y seguridad RE-01, con el fin de asegurar la aplicación y el cumplimiento de la normativa, reglas y procedimientos internos y externos, contenidos en el programa de seguridad, salud y medio ambiente, en función a las funciones del puesto, y basado a los lineamientos que entrega el IND1, utilizando herramientas de control y reportabilidad definidas por la compañía.

 

Requisitos del cargo:

  • Formación académica: Ingeniería en Ejecución / Civil Eléctrica o afín.
  • Alto conocimiento normativo y del mercado de directa competencia.
  • Alto Conocimiento de Proyectos de Transmisión (calidad de servicio, sistema eléctrico nacional, diseño de Subestaciones eléctricas de AT y MT).
  • Conocimientos en Ingeniería Eléctrica de Transmisión.(Subestaciones en AT,MT y BT, en Líneas de AT-MT, etc.).
  • Experiencia en diseño y coordinación de Subestaciones Eléctricas, en todas sus etapas de Ingeniería (Conceptual, básica, detallada y As built), conocimientos básicos de diseños de Líneas.
  • Administración y Optimización de Recursos.
  • Inglés nivel intermedio.
  • Mínimo 10 años de experiencia en puestos similares, coordinando proyectos eléctricos de transmisión (Subestaciones y/o Líneas AT), con conocimientos  regulatorios, normativos y experiencia en el desarrollo y coordinación de ingeniería de proyectos aplicables al sector eléctrico de media y alta tensión.
  • Experiencia laboral de al menos 15 años en proyectos de transmisión, procesos de licitación, ingeniería, coordinación y evaluación de proyectos de transmisión.

What You Can Expect

As an intern in our Westminster, CO office, you will work as a supporting key member of the Project Management (PM) and Construction Management (CM) team within the Utility-Scale Renewable Development business.

 

Every day you will support the Project and Construction Management staff with project start up activities for ENGIE’s project portfolio of wind, solar and battery storage projects. 

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Reporting and project start up and closeout activities and exhibit reviews
  • Review and update process maps and documents for PM and CM activities and support the activities within the ProCore application system
  • As an intern you will travel to construction project sites as needed to shadow the Construction Manager or Senior site member on the work being done, audits, and safety inspections
  • Documentation of activities, create reports out of Procore, review daily reports for quality and non-conformance
  • Attend weekly Construction Project meetings

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Must be at least a junior or senior working toward a graduate or undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, science, or similar technical or analytics-based program

What You Can Expect

As our Asset Operations, Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for executing field response for reactive and planned maintenance activities of select operating standalone battery assets in Corpus Christi, Texas area.  You will also serve as a key company representative for maintenance scheduling and coordination with internal teams as well as 3rd parties. This field-based position will work across departments to communicate updates and will require frequent travel, primarily to two facilities in South Texas.  As such, candidate must reside within  60 minutes of our Corpus Christi, TX area facilities.  

 

Every day you will be responsible for keeping the battery storage plants up and running, coordinate with various Original Equipment Manufactures “OEMs”, internal and external maintenance partners, provide hands-on troubleshooting of on-site technical issues, perform deviation detection and mitigation on the operating battery plants. You will communicate with internal departments, Performance Management, Asset Management, and Remote Operations teams to report any issues or needs and support issues resolutions coordinating with internal teams, OEMs and EMS providers. You will support reliability improvement plans via coordinating with in-house and third-party technical engineering staff.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum high school diploma or technical certificate
  • Minimum of three (3) years of electrical experience or comparable industrial experience such as Power Sector Industry, Military experience working with diesel generators or power systems, or Oil & Gas industry experience with maintenance/service experience of heavy machinery is beneficial in lieu of battery storage experience
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy

 

 

Additional Details

  • This is a field position requiring regular travel to ENGIE site(s) 
  • This role requires daily attendance at worksite
  • Must be available to travel (domestically) up to 25% of the time (and with the need for some overnight trips.)  
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record

  • The position consists of 30% work indoors and 70% work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions

Compensation

What You Can Expect

As the Power Marketing Intern, you will support power marketing and sales efforts targeting Corporate and Industrial (C&I) and utility customers to understand their renewable energy and sustainability goals. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Support Power Marketing Initiatives: Assist the Power Marketing team in promoting grid-scale solar, solar-plus-storage, and wind projects, including bid evaluation, preparation, and creating presentation materials for customers and buyers.
  • Market Trend and Transaction Analysis: Identify and analyze national industry trends impacting renewable development opportunities, and assess transaction details to identify risks and opportunities for optimizing project revenue.
  • Power Sale Agreements: Support the negotiation and management of long-term power sale agreements with various customers to facilitate the financing and construction of new renewable and/or energy storage projects.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with ENGIE’s project support teams, including development, construction, operations and maintenance, procurement, finance, accounting, energy trading, and transmission analysis teams.
  • Market Research and Data Management: Conduct market research, manage data and data rooms, perform competitive analysis, assist with marketing collateral, and provide various ad hoc analyses.
