Mission

  • You will be a player throughout the execution of our marine and civil infrastructure projects

  • You will take the lead in the design and calculation of steel structures from concept study to execution

  • You dimension steel structures following current Belgian and European standards, legislation, codes of practice and internal guidelines

  • You are creative in looking for structural solutions to specific problems, taking into account design and budget

  • You will be part of a multidisciplinary project team of engineers and draftsmen for projects with a strong focus on projects in marine and civil infrastructure

  • Prepare designs (preliminary, basis, tender, detailed) for marine and infrastructure projects such as:  lock doors, jetties, gate valves, barrages, flood protection structures, bridges, etc. 

  • You take a role as design engineer of the project and coordinate with and coach our junior engineers and CAD designers.

Profile

  • You are a qualified Master of Science in Structural Engineering with a Major in ‘Construction Design’ or ‘Dredging and Off-Shore Engineering’ or ‘Marine Engineering’

  • You have at least 5 years of relevant technical experience in the design and engineering of steel structures and infrastructure projects such as bridges, port infrastructure, lock doors, barrages, sheet piles, anchors, jetties, or large civil infrastructure works, including calculation on structures;

  • You have experience in designing steel elements in complex 3D structures

  • You have an understanding of the applicable construction techniques and are eager to keep your knowledge in line with current methods.

  • You are quality-driven and operate in a customer-focused way

  • You are a team player

  • You have extensive knowledge of current Belgian and European Design Standards, legislation, codes of practice (ISO, EC, NEN, EAU, SB250, SB260,...)

  • You are mobile and open to occasional missions abroad (short or medium-term).

Functie

 

Als Project Manager Nuclear beheer en monitor je het ontwerp en/of de uitvoering van onze nucleaire  projecten.  Je stelt de ontwerp- en investeringsbudgetten op en consolideert deze voor het project als geheel. Je bepaalt de globale tijdsplanning, je controleert de geleverde diensten voor het project en je bewaakt de voortgang op het vlak van het halen van de oplevertermijnen alsook de verwachte rentabiliteit.

 

  • Na overleg met de experts van Tractebel definieer je de taken en machtig je je projectteam (dat je functioneel aanstuurt) om deze uit te voeren. Je organiseert meetings met de klant en ondersteunt de klant, als partner, bij het leveren van de Tractebel meerwaarde aan het project;
  • Je verzorgt de interne contacten met onze Métiers (dit zijn de Technische Competence Centres) en de ondersteunende afdelingen (juridisch, financiën, IT, risicobeheer, communicatie, …);
  • Je coördineert de acties op de raakvlakken tussen disciplines en je waakt over de adequate integratie van de verschillende specialismen in het project;

Werkomgeving

 

Binnen de Tractebel Business Area Global Nuclear, kom je terecht in het departement dat verantwoordelijk is voor de Tractebel projecten die we uitvoeren in opdracht van Electrabel. Dit departement is verantwoordelijk voor alle projecten die verband houden met de studies en de aanpassingen van bestaande Belgische kerncentrales (Doel en Tihange), inclusief ontmantelingsprojecten en LTO-projecten (Long Term Operation). Deze projecten kunnen betrekking hebben op pre-haalbaarheidsstudies tot en met de uiteindelijke ingebruikname van de installaties, inclusief haalbaarheids-, ontwerp-, inkoop- en realisatieactiviteiten op locatie.

 

Binnen dit departement ben je verantwoordelijk voor de projecten aan jou toegewezen (studies en/of aanpassingen), telkens met betrekking tot de kerncentrales in België. Je rapporteert hierbij aan de Group Manager Projecten.

 

Uw profiel

 

Minimale vereisten:

  • een Master diploma in Engineering;
  • Talenkennis: Nederlands (en bij voorkeur basiskennis Frans) en Engels;
  • De werkingsprincipes van een kerncentrale en de daarbij horende veiligheidssystemen;
  • Je hebt 5 jaar professionele ervaring als projectleider of assistent projectleider, en je hebt kennis van de processen van Engineering (opeenvolgende fasen, contractuele benaderingen, …)
  • Kennis van Belgische kerncentrales is een sterke troef;

What You Can Expect

As a Project Director, you will lead the development of Green Hydrogen projects in the North America from feasibility to start of construction. Every day you will be responsible for management of assigned projects, leadership and oversight of all disciplines (engineering disciplines, Health Safety Environmental (HSE), permitting and regulatory compliance, procurement, construction management, contracting, project control), management of contractors (front end engineering design (FEED), permitting, surveys), oversight of Engineering Procurement Construction scope, strategy and contracts development, selection of Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contractors, early procurement/contracting, management of internal interfaces within Development team and other Business Units, management of external interfaces with development partners, driving the project through development stages towards final investment decision (FID) and ensuring its overall viability.

 

  • Drive Green Hydrogen projects from initiation up to Final Investment Decision and handover to the Execution team
  • Provide leadership and ensure top performance in all areas of the project (engineering, Health Safety Environmental (HSE), permitting, regulatory compliance, procurement, construction management, project control, contracting)
  • Develop and manage all aspects of the project (scope, execution plan, resourcing, budget, schedule, risks, quality, interfaces)
  • Use your knowledge of Green Hydrogen (or related industries) to steer development of the project, keep the team focused and executives well informed
  • Use your extensive Project Management and Engineering experience to establish effective management process, systems and tools; Develop and own the Project Management Plan with all its elements
  • Engage internal and external teams and partners, align early and continuously, and manage  proactively any interfaces and risks (alignment sessions, project reviews, Value Improvement Practices, lessons learnt)
  • Proactively define the need, identify & mobilize resources, and manage progress on the technical deliverables for the various phases of the project
  • Work with Development/Finance team to accurately provide technical, production and costing inputs into project financial models
  • Lead the definition of the project’s procurement and contracting strategy, and management of the project’s procurement activities (tender documents, tendering, negotiation, contracting and invoicing)
  • Lead the definition of contracting and execution strategy, TIC estimates and master scheduling, negotiation of Engineering Procurement Construction (M) and engineering/consulting contracts; support negotiations of the Supply, Offtake or other type of contracts
  • Prepare and coordinate the technical hand-over to the Project Delivery team at project final investment decision  
  • Structure and budget the operation and maintenance of the project, inclusive of staffing and mobilization plan, interfaces with Operations & Maintenance vendor, Operations & Maintenance  agreements, KPIs, pricing structure and carry out other duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in engineering, execution and Project Management developing large greenfield process plants (Hydrogen, Ammonia, Methanol, Refining)
  • Experience throughout project lifecycle – from Front End Loading to Engineering Procurement Construction
  • Significant experience in cost/schedule control, budgeting, procurement
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Primavera P6, Procore
  • Professional Engineer license and PMP certification
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present to large audiences and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing activities and be flexible, adjusting to changing conditions, develop and present alternative courses of action

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically 20% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $146,300 – $224,135 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

ENGIE NA Grid Scale Renewables organization is seeking a well-qualified Project Controls Cost Analyst II, to join our high performing team. The Project Controls Cost Analyst II will work within the Project Controls Office within the Grid Scale Renewables Team. The Project Controls Cost Analyst II will interface and work collaboratively on cross-functional internal and external project teams and corporate support functions to provide cost control services throughout the entire duration of the project life cycle.

 

Every day in this role you will support project controls processes for new grid scale renewable capital development, construction and operational projects including:

  • Budgeting and control of development expenditures (tracking limited notice to proceed (LNTP’s), preparing schedule of values (SOV), and supporting planned value (PV) distribution activities;
  • Preparation of capital construction budgets including forecasting and variance reporting; preparation of routine reports of project status;
  • Control of the cost categorization per predefined budgets and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
  • Support Project Managers (PM’s) in project budget analysis and control through the preparation of:
  • Weekly project budget status reports
  • Month over month cost variance analysis per WBS
  • Monthly key performance indicators which detail out deltas in overall estimate at complete (EAC)
  • Monthly cash flow forecasts
  • Monthly earned value management (EVM) calculations
  • Assist projects with vendor requirements, invoice approvals, purchase orders, change events, and contingency management
  • Support project managers in identifying, monitoring, and actively controlling risks to project budgets and schedules

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Project, or Construction Management, or in related field, or bachelor’s degree equivalency with practical experience and knowledge of relevant technical systems

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in project cost controls
  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to create customized cost estimating and analysis tools using data import, sorting, and filtering, pivot tables, graphs/charts, and custom formulas
  • Direct experience using enterprise resource planning systems/tools (SAP, COUPA or other ERP systems) associated with procurement, payment, and accounting
  • Detail-oriented individual who will proactively pursue and investigate the underlying details surrounding information being reported in order to construct a comprehensive understanding of project related costs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to diagnosis and solve problems within limited time frames
  • Highly capable of working constructively and maintaining good relationships with both internal and external stakeholder
  • Experience working independently with minimal oversight was objectives are established and agreed upon

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy  
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record; when traveling requires the use of company/hire/or personal vehicle to drive to site locations

Compensation

Salary Range: $62,400 – $95,450 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Regional Operations Director, US Renewable Generation

What You Can Expect

As the Regional Operations Director, US Renewable Generation you will provide management direction to ENGIE North America (ENGIE NA) renewable generation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for management and oversight of assets, including responsibility to ensure safety, superior operational performance, profitability, contract compliance, decision making and problem solving, regulatory compliance, legal interface, guidance and direction to Regional and Site Managers, and monitoring plant activities. You will actively promote a safety-minded working environment and safety programs consistent with the ENGIE NA Health and Safety Principle and ENGIE’s global governance initiatives. On a daily basis you will set objectives for the team in alignment with ENGIE NA strategic plan and maintains a record of their performance through regular evaluations and make recommendations for merit increases and incentive pay. Every day you will monitor the day-to-day operation, maintenance, fiscal, and administrative functions of each operating facility.

 

The Regional Operations Director will optimize plant technical performance through enhancements, upgrades and modifications to physical site equipment. You are expected to improve plant financial performance through modifications to contracts, reflecting changes in market design or operating philosophy as well as apply emerging trends to add value to existing and future ENGIE NA projects. You are responsible for the oversight and direction of plant compliance with company policies and procedures, governmental regulations, Power Purchase contract compliance, operations and maintenance agreements, annual operating plans, and good engineering practices at each facility.

 

  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and procedures
  • Supporting the VP Field Operations in the hiring, termination, and pay schedules for ENGIE NA operating facilities
  • Recommend the hiring, termination, and pay schedules for Regional and Site Mangers positions for approval by the VP Field Operations and COO at ENGIE NA
  • Prepare and submit for review and approval annual and long term strategic plans, budgets and periodic reports for ENGIE NA managed facilities
  • Direct lender-required technical and budget review programs.
  • Identify and direct professional development of subordinates, including identifying needs and supporting plans
  • Comply with all ENGIE NA policies and procedures
  • Interface with commercial organization to enhance communications, outage decision making, dispatch decisions, metric utilization, and plant capability to maximize economic performance and/or optimize the sale of energy output from the facilities
  • Oversee the management of a portfolio of power generation facilities as an independent power producer operating in regulated, merchant, and PPA environments

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma/technical degree or equivalent education where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership, management, communication, organizational, operational and prioritization skills
  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience with demonstrated leadership and management of staff
  • Working knowledge with Development, Operations, Maintenance, Dispatch and Optimization of Wind and Solar Assets
  • In-depth knowledge of battery storage, wind and solar power generating facilities, equipment and technologies
  • Proficiency with personal computer applications, in particular, operational and financial modeling and budgeting

 

 

Additional Details

  • This is a field position that requires daily attendance at a worksite including regular travel to client site(s)
  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically 50% to visit sites, company meetings, events and training
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record with the ability to drive a company vehicle to sites, customers, and company activities

Compensation

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Responsible for the commercial structuring and revenue modeling, storage systems economics for utility scale In Front of the Meter Energy Storage Solutions. 
  • Develops methodologies for identifying nodes with frequent congestion and potential value; coordinates with development team to evaluate ISOs and identify nodes for greenfield development;
  • Creates and maintains a market fundamentals and project data database; develops project revenues model underwriting assumptions in alignment with investment criteria and revenue / off-take efforts for multiple markets and at deal level; 
  • Manages external resources to conduct transmission analyses; 
  • Assists with performing due diligence on acquisition targets;
  • Supports pricing and structuring of hedges and off-take agreements; 
  • Reviews project pro forma financial models to understand development risk and how returns are impacted; 
  • Creates various monetization strategies considering sizing and duration; 
  • Work on various structured products;
  • Assists with development of the go-to-market strategy; 
  • Acts as one of a group of energy storage subject matter experts; 
  • Contributes to the ENGIE technology road map; 
  • Determines queue position of solar and or storage projects to determine project viability in state level programs and wholesale market; and 
  • Supports ENGIE with business development activities related to greenfield and or acquisition of storage projects and portfolios.

 

Minimum Qualifications
