Senior Project Manager (III)

What You Can Expect

As the Senior Project Manager you will work in our Capex department’s Pre-Construction team at the University of Iowa working closely with project development from a project execution perspective and prepare a project for the handoff to a construction project manager. Additionally, you will works with our Engineering and O&M staff to understand the technical aspects of the system designs. In addition to standard responsibilities as the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for mentoring and advising junior Project Delivery members. As part of this team you will be responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the campus. Projects range in size from $100,000 to $50MM, with completion of each taking the span of 1-5 years.

• Creates project schedule baselines and reports on progress to various internal and external stakeholders
• Tracks and analyzes progress on project-level spend in relation to approved budget baselines
• Cites any budget-relates issues and processes change to ensure budget baselines are accurate prior to, and throughout installation
• Provides regular status reports to clients and other external parties as necessary, including previously-mentioned schedule and budget/cost updates
• Ensures that all installations meet plans and specifications, permitting and interconnection requirements, and client expectations
• Administer contracts to include the development of project specifications, a detailed scope of work and principle contract provisions

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree required; in lieu of a degree a total of nine (9) years of experience in a related role

• A minimum of (5) five years’ experience in relevant Project Management, Engineering or Construction role
• A proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

Additional Details

• Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record; explain why a license is required, i.e. use of company vehicle, ability to drive to site locations

Compensation

Salary Range: $99,000 – $151,800 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
