What You Can Expect

As our Acquisition, Investment, and Financial Advisor (AIFA) Manager, you will develop business cases and provide supporting project financial analyses to guide the investment for greenfield investment, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) projects.  You can work a hybrid schedule from our Houston, TX office.

 

Every day you will be responsible for leading the valuation, structuring guidance, advise on commercial agreements, risk allocation, bankability of contracts, financing alternatives, and expected investment returns throughout the business development process of investments, mergers and acquisition, and project financing plans. You will present investment opportunities to ENGIE leadership, defend project economics, and risks for the review committees.

 

  • Develop, analyze, evaluate and recommend financial options and proposals as they relate to business development projects or other funding needs
  • Advise internal stakeholders in understanding appropriate risk allocation, bankability of terms and conditions of various project contracts and provide general structuring advice and optimization of returns throughout the business development process
  • Structure, negotiate and execute financing documents (internal or project finance) for medium to large size transactions
  • Identify main project economic and financial risks and advise on the appropriate mitigation factors and definition of appropriate contingencies
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions, following group guidelines. Maintain responsibility for the accuracy and correct incorporation of relevant inputs to such models. Propose and implement relevant sensitivity analysis for investment files
  • Assist the business development decision making process and manage internal approvals process for new economic commitments and associated financing arrangements
  • Create and lead presentations for lender and management updates and discussions
  • Coach and mentor more junior members of the AIFA team

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Math, or a STEM-focused degree program where you have learned project management, project financing, investments, equity, mergers, acquisitions, power, energy, or renewable market skills
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in all aspects of project finance and M&A transactions where you lead the modeling/analysis, drive the structuring, negotiating legal documentation, execution of transactions and detailed financial modeling for each project from start of the development process to the successful closing of an investment or acquisition
  • Broad power industry expertise, including working in retail, energy services, renewables and / or generation markets
  • Investment analysis experience in the clean energy sector at a developer, fund, bank, or consultant
  • Detailed financial modeling, including a project finance and accounting component, with a strong proficiency working in EXCEL  You have worked in environments where you have worked alone or in a team structuring and closing M&A and/or financing transactions, including reviewing, and negotiating legal documentation
  • Knowledge of US merchant power markets drivers, hedging
  • instruments, Tax Equity Structures, and IRS requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple parties including banks, consultants, lawyers as well as internal stakeholders (management, business development, legal, technical, insurance, tax, and accounting) to bring transactions to conclusion in a challenging environment

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,400.00 – $196,765.00 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

As a Credit Senior Advisor - Structured Transactions in Houston, you will play a crucial role in assessing credit risk, evaluating financial transactions, and ensuring the successful execution of energy-related transactions.

What You’ll Bring

YOUR ROLE and RESPONSABILITIES as an Insurance Advisor:

 

As an expert advisor, you will be the main point of contact for the operational entities of the perimeters entrusted to you. You will work closely with the Department Manager and you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure compliance with assurance program procedures
  • Manage major claims in collaboration with brokers and insurers
  • Support risk prevention by contributing to the selection of sites for audits
  • Actively contribute to the prevention of contractual risks, review of contractual clauses relating to insurance in contracts and agreements signed by entities in your scope.

Context:

The GEM Finance division is hiring a Business Controller who will work on the perimeter of the Business Platform “BP Clients” in Brussels. He will join a bi-localized team - the FinOps BP Clients team – composed of Business Controllers covering the Group’s key account activities in Europe.

The Finance and Operations (FinOps) “BP Clients” team has the responsibility to monitor the P&L of the “BP Clients” Business Platform – part of GEMS entity – and ensure a correct reporting of its results end of month.

Part of GEMS, the BP Client’s role is to guarantee the physical sourcing in gas and electricity of ENGIE’s key accounts. It has also a major component of market access activities which are reported linked or not to our key account activities.

This open position primarily focuses on both power and Gas related activities in Netherlands, including:
the purchase and sale of electricity contracts and the management of power imbalances.

Sourcing of gas for key accounts
Purchase of hedging products (forward contracts, options, weather derivatives) relating to the gas supply activity

Role:

Job Purpose/Mission  

ENGIE Energy Access (EEA)  is looking for a bilingual (French and English), experienced, highly motivated, and skilled Global Financial Operations Manager with a passion in renewable energy, and financial inclusion to join our team. This position will be part of the Global Accounting and Reporting team that is currently based in Berlin, Germany, and Kampala, Uganda led by the Head of Accounting and Reporting and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer.

The Global Financial Operations Manager will ensure timely and accurate financial statements and reporting, manage the implementation of processes and procedures to ensure best practices and adherence to IFRS and tax laws. The Accounting and Reporting department is responsible for the set up and improving of EEA financial procedures, the accounting, and the internal and external financial reporting. The Global Financial Operations Manager will report directly to the Global Head of Accounting and Reporting.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage and oversee financial reporting process for all African countries, with focus on the EEA Western Region (i.e. Benin, Cote D’Ivoire and Nigeria), including monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial and management reporting.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate Budget vs Actual reporting, coordinating with country teams to assess and clarify any Budget vs Actual variance in line with EEA financial reporting guidelines as well as IFRS.
  • Support the countries with the monthly closing and actively review and analyze the monthly financial performance. Ensure that the local Finance teams are reporting the monthly results in alignment with the Chart of Accounts (CoA) and following best practice principles for all financial reporting.
  • Continue improving SAP as ERP system, rolling out new modules and addons, reporting and dashboards, coordinating closely with the local finance teams and operations teams to better reflect the inventory position and reporting of reconciliation differences.
  • Work closely with local Finance teams, Global Operations and Country Operations teams to enhance and improve systems and processes for inventory management in the ERP, ensure adherence to monthly/quarterly counts and analysis within EEA.
  • Support Country Finance teams, with focus on the EEA Western Region (i.e. Benin, Cote D’Ivoire and Nigeria), to prepare for annual internal and external audits.
  • Support capacity and capability building on local finance teams through recruitment, onboarding and offering finance related training.
  • Provide the timely and accurate monthly EEA financial statements for the Western region to our shareholders through group reporting tools i.e. SMART and MDT.
