What You Can Expect

As the Power Marketing Intern, you will support power marketing and sales efforts targeting Corporate and Industrial (C&I) and utility customers to understand their renewable energy and sustainability goals.   • Power Sale Agreements: Support the negotiation and management of long-term power sale agreements with various customers to facilitate the financing and construction of new renewable and/or energy storage projects.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with ENGIE’s project support teams, including development, construction, operations and maintenance, procurement, finance, accounting, energy trading, and transmission analysis teams.
  • Market Research and Data Management: Conduct market research, manage data and data rooms, perform competitive analysis, assist with marketing collateral, and provide various ad hoc analyses.

As a Utility Scale Resource Assessment Intern for grid-scale renewable energy at ENGIE North America, you will assist with the resource assessment capabilities of our wind, solar, and battery storage project development platforms. The Construction Project Field Manager (PFM) will oversee and coordinate all on-site aspects of a renewable energy project. This role will ensure that construction activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to the required quality standards. The PFM has a pivotal role in delivering the project’s objectives and promoting a safe and efficient work environment.


The PFM will comply with ENGIE Delivery Standard Operating Procedures throughout the progress of construction activities for the ENGIE site team. The PFM is accountable to the Senior Construction Manager, Delivery Project Manager, and Director of Construction Services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution and Coordination: Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. What You’ll Bring

  • Manages the selection of third-party HSE auditors, consultants and contractors

Utilizing systems like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), you will monitor daily asset performance and regulatory compliance to meet standards set by organizations such as the National Electrical Renewables Council (NERC). Your responsibilities involve utilizing various computer-based systems, ensuring the timely update and maintenance of all documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional management may be necessary to provide reports on the status, progress, and development of various projects on-site.
 

  • Able to provide technical and management support for the design and operations of the solar/storage site.
  • Must be willing to attain substation technician certification within 12 months of hire date
  • Carries out all responsibilities under environmental legislation to prevent environmental spills
  • Manages a safety program that complies with all Federal and State requirements ensuring the safe operation of the site regarding the public, employees, and equipment
  • Cooperates with internal and third parties regarding safety and regulatory compliance and responds to their recommendations in a timely manner

 

 

What You’ll Bring  

  • High school diploma/ technical degree or equivalent education where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership, management, communication, organizational, operational and prioritization skills
  • Must have five (5) years’ experience in a related industry where you have experience with industrial electrical equipment, power generations, thermal generations, line, and utility scale equipment
