JOB PURPOSE:

Employee oversees skilled work in the installation, repair and maintenance of control systems of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC). Employee is responsible for supervising all HVAC personnel. Work requires initiative and judgment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises all HVAC personnel, including other supervisors; duties include planning, scheduling, organizing and directing work, training personnel, and recommending applicants for employment or for discipline, termination or retention.
  • Teaches and enforces safety regulations.
  • Orders and purchases tools, equipment and supplies.
  • Ensures proper equipment and supplies are available in the stockroom to complete various jobs.
  • Monitors jobs to ensure quality and compliance with job standards.
  • Estimates costs of various jobs.
  • Coordinates activities with other trades areas, project manager or outside contractors.
  • Recommends improvements, changes or new techniques and procedures.
  • Maintains records of jobs performed, departmental charge codes and hours worked by employees.
  • Reads complex blueprints and electronic diagrams.
  • Maintains plans, records and files regarding heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems.
  • Supervises the preventive maintenance program for all heating and ventilating systems.
  • Provide technical assistance to mechanics when requested.
  • Performs duties of an HVAC technician when necessary.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Thorough knowledge of heating, ventilation and refrigeration theory.
  • Considerable knowledge of the design and operation of centrifugal and reciprocal compressors.
  • Considerable knowledge of the design and operation of pneumatic control systems.
  • Considerable knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment
  • Working knowledge of electricity.
  • Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions and prescribe repair procedures
  • Ability to train and supervise others.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, assign, coordinate and direct the work of HVAC mechanics and crew leaders.

What You Can Expect

As a the Project Coordination Analyst you will be part of the operations and maintenance (O&M) team for Distributed Solar and Storage activities. This role will report to the O&M Field Service Director and responsible for assisting all Regional Services Managers in coordinating all activities related to the operation and maintenance of our 500 sites operational.

 

Additionally, you will assist the Regional Service Manager with final service report documentation, create purchase orders in COUPA, and close open tickets when services are complete.

 

  • Dispatch subcontractors to sites based on required interventions (preventive maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting, or repair)
  • Verify subcontractor offers against negotiated agreements and create purchase orders
  • Create prior-approval requests with customers/financial partners in accordance with our maintenance contracts and handle invoicing
  • Coordinate interventions with customers as necessary
  • Ensure intervention reports are completed promptly and record summaries and future actions in our tracking tool
  • Prepare price requests for preventive services for the following year and participate in selecting the best subcontractors by site/region
  • Participate in O&M coordination team meetings to prioritize sites for maximum production and prepare monthly performance reports, sharing site difficulties encountered

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or a total of four (4) years of experience doing a similar role

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy

Compensation

Salary Range: $53,900 – $83,375 USD annually

Senior Engineer, Operations & Maintenance

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assume full ownership and accountabilities of successful rolling out of Smart O&M across all client sites, and ensuring continuous improvement post implementation;
  • Responsible for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to trouble shoot, analyse and solve technical issues related to natural gas supply, thermal oil heaters, combustion, burners etc;
  • Responsible for implementing best practices in spart parts and consumables management across all sites;
  • Responsible for operational optimization, asset performance analysis and management across all sites, including all technical and financial performance of individual sites;
  • Manage all site teams to ensure all Controls and Instrumentation required in in place, fully functional, properly validated / calibrated and integrated seamlessly with existing SCADA and Smart O&M;
  • Drive and manage all on site client communications and relationship management, including contracts management of all sites and timely, accurate O&M reporting submission for both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ensure smooth and efficient coordination and engagement with internal local and regional stakeholders, including finance, legal, HR, projects, engineering, asset performance teams;
  • Responsible for owning and coordinating the budget planning, analysis and review processes of each site;
  • Responsible for managing all purchases and procurement coordination to support all O&M requirements of each site.
  • Responsible for liaising with government regulatory bodies such as Suruhanjaya Tenaga, TNB, DOSH, etc to ensure compliance.
  • Plan and conduct periodic inspection, switching and maintenance for all electrical systems for high voltage and low voltage switch board, bus ducts, transformers, switchgear, etc.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Highly proactive O&M professional with at least 5 years of hands-on experience managing clients and site teams
  • Strong academic achievement with at least a chargeman BO (11KV or 33KV) Certificate by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, especially related to utilities such as thermal oil heating, chilled water, iced water, compressed air, etc
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to work with all levels of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to learn new skills and adapt to dynamic and demanding situations
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
