What You Can Expect
As the VP Marketing Supply B2B in Houston, and you will report directly to CEO - Supply B2B U.S., you will lead the transformation and modernization of the marketing function, aligning it with ENGIE’s broader growth and decarbonization strategy.
While directly supporting revenue growth, customer expansion, and brand leadership across deregulated U.S. electricity markets, you will leverage your vision and experience to redefine our segmentation strategy. You will play a critical role in expanding beyond the current customer base and sales focus, with an emphasis on unlocking new commercial opportunities and shaping the long-term market view of the business. By partnering closely with Sales, you will elevate ENGIE Resources' commercial positioning in a highly competitive market.
- Direct leadership over Brand & Communications, Product Marketing, Digital
- Marketing, Market Intelligence, and Sales Enablement
- Expected to build a high-impact, lean marketing organization aligned with growth priorities
- Reposition ENGIE Resources in the market by delivering a modern, datadriven marketing strategy
- Lead the redefinition of C&I customer segmentation, identifying new verticals, geographies, and buyer personas
- Develop tailored value propositions aligned with ENGIE’s decarbonization solutions (RECs, green energy, demand flexibility, etc.)
- Partner directly with Sales to expand the current commercial focus and grow the pipeline through under-addressed segments
- Serve as a thought leader and voice of the company in external engagements and industry forums
- Elevate ENGIE B2B US’ visibility and differentiation among enterprise energy buyers and influencers
- Support you and the executive team by demonstrating the size and quality of the broader addressable market that ENGIE uniquely serves Strategic Imperatives & Rationale
- Your role will be transformative, not a traditional marketing director role but a strategic executive partner to the CEO and Sales
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field
- A minimum 15 years of experience in B2B marketing, with a minimum of 7 years in the C&I retail electricity, utility, or energy services sectors
- Fresh, externally benchmarked segmentation and Go To Market (GTM) strategies, not be reliant on tools-driven marketing.
- Prior leadership roles at a U.S.-based retail energy company
- Proven experience driving growth through market repositioning, commercial collaboration, and storytelling
- Demonstrated success launching or expanding go-to-market strategies for decarbonization solutions, including RECs, carbon offsets, demand-side programs, and sustainability partnerships Competencies
- Deep understanding of deregulated electricity markets, C&I buying behaviors, and contract structures (e.g., fixed, index, hybrid)
- In-depth understanding of commercial & Industrial (C&I) retail electricity sector experience or a closely aligned energy services firm with deep experience in deregulated power markets (ERCOT, PJM, ISO-NE).
- Deep understanding of deregulated electricity markets, including C&I buying behaviors and contract structures (e.g., fixed, index, hybrid), along with in-depth experience in the commercial & industrial (C&I) retail electricity sector or a closely aligned energy services firm, particularly within deregulated power markets such as ERCOT, PJM, and ISO-NE.
- Expertise in customer segmentation, channel strategy, and value-based messaging
- Executive-level communicator, with strong skills in market narrative, external communications, and cross-functional leadership

This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy;

Compensation
Salary Range: $195,700 – $300,035 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
