The Role
Our Origination team are responsible for securing high value structured power, renewable, carbon and environmental transactions; promoting risk management solutions and market access services to wholesale clients and counterparts. Our team works in close collaboration with the Trading and Supply teams.
You’ll generate insights that directly contribute to the performance and commercial success of the team. You’ll develop and present critical analysis and reporting to aid origination and structuring activities, within the Australian electricity market; Model the economic value and portfolio impact of structured transactions; and Monitor portfolio performance and market developments.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience as an Energy Market analyst, Strategic analyst Trading analyst or similar commercial role within the wholesale Australian Electricity sector.
- Commercial acumen within the thermal, hybrid, renewable or storage sector; experience of PPA in BESS, Wind and Solar power stations is advantageous. and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Ability to interpret complex data and present a number-led story to varied audiences including cross-functional teams and leadership.
