What You Can Expect

As our Applications Advisor- Budget, Forecast & Analytics in Houston, Texas for ENGIE North America, you will act as a key link between IT & Digital and various departments working towards zero transition in North America. It focuses on the design, implementation and support of solutions based on SAP Analytics Clouds. In addition, it will be involved in practice guidance for assigned areas. Everyday, you will report to the GBS IT Director to identify and recommend SAC Planning solutions, architecture, and integration points for internal customers, focusing on objectives and on nurturing strong customer relationships.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration or its equivalent

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with reporting and planning tools BPC, Hyperion, other related reporting and financial planning and reporting platforms
  • A minimum of two (2) SAC projects must be completed including; data modeling, data actions, standard and analytical reports, input forms, security
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with SAC releases, features, and best practices
  • Experience with CDS views and Datasphere

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

What You Can Expect

The Partnership Management Team at ENGIE oversees multiple partnerships within our ~6GW operational fleet of Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage assets. These assets are situated in both the United States and Canada, and they operate across various Independent System Operators (ISOs), including ERCOT, SPP, PJM, and MISO. The number of partnerships will expand alongside our rapid growth.  We expect to place in service approximately 2 GW/y over the next decade with the expansion into new ISOs and new technologies.

 

The Partnership Management Senior Contracts and Reporting Analyst, located in Houston, TX, will be an integral part of the Partnership Management Team. Every day, in this role, you will support the Partnership Management Team in the maintenance of partner relationships by producing reports and other deliverables as required under the partnership agreements, organizing and retaining documents per company policy, refining processes, automating recurring tasks to promote scalability of our operations, liaising with cross-functional teams to meet partner requirements, conducting contract review and ensuring compliance.

 

  • Play a key role in timeliness and accuracy of key deliverables to our partners including yearly budget, board materials, minutes of board meetings, monthly operating reports
  • Coordinate with Partnership Management Team and other departments to respond to partner inquiries
  • Collaborate across the organization to ensure compliance with partnership agreements regarding reporting, budgetary compliance and communication
  • Lead in the implementation of tools to track and automate compliance
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate reporting
  • Develop strong understanding of partnership agreements
  • Effective communication to ensure organizational understanding of key contract terms – including contract briefs

As a Project Development Advisor, you will support a broad range of pre-construction development activities related to projects within ENGIE’s portfolio of utility-scale solar assets across the United States. You will work on all aspects of early to late-stage project development, such as local, state, and federal permitting including community and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) outreach and public hearings, environmental site assessment, and project financing due diligence support.   • Manage all aspects of environmental site assessment, permitting, transmission/interconnection, land acquisition, and design activities in close collaboration with Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs)
  • Engage consultants, review their findings, and ensure implementation
  • Research new industry/technology developments, and tax incentives
  • Manage permit application preparation and attend public permitting hearings
  • Manage agency and AHJ submittals and interactions on local, state, and federal level
  • Develop project model underwriting assumptions in alignment with investment criteria and off-take origination efforts
  • Engage with landowners and stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the development process, including attending community engagement events
  • Maintain database tracking project progress
  • Support energy offtake, financing, and project Merger & Acquisition (M&A) discussions and document preparation
  • Prepare investment presentation materials for ENGIE investment committees
  • Review project pro forma financial models to understand how returns are impacted
  • Remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities in the United States and the national industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers
  • Represent ENGIE at industry advocacy groups and national renewable energy events as attendee, speaker, panelist, and renewable energy leader

 

 

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in Engineering, Environmental, Business Administration or Economics
  • A minimum seven (7) years related experience in renewable energy development or other fields of project development with the ability to navigate permitting processes and community involvement
  • Understanding of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)

  • Development in PJM, MISO, or other Independent System Operator (ISO)

  • Lead the development of material to support internal governance process
  • Support the M&A team on transactions, process development, process management and market entry plans
  • Maintain transaction data and support group reporting
  • Sit first chair (and occasionally second chair) on transactions and run workstreams within transactions
  • Develop and maintain, with other groups, commercial and competitive intelligence

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a degree in finance, economics, mathematics, science, engineering or similar technical or analytics based program
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of energy industry experience in increasing levels of responsibility at a developer, utility, bank, investor or similar market participant

As our part time Law Clerk for ENGIE North America, you will assist with large scale Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts schedules and exhibits. Everyday, you will report to the Attorney II to assist with lease and contract reviews around solar leases and wind easements for large grid scale wind and solar farm projects in order to compile schedules of specific information to be used in financing documents, EPC contracts and other agreements. This person will also create schedules and abstracts of multiple documents, distilling information,  compiling information for exhibits and creating instructions for various groups regarding land use along with various legal projects from corporate affairs.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A 2nd or 3rd year law student from an accredited college or university with interest in real estate or contracts with a focus on renewable energy

As the SCADA Engineering Manager in Houston, Texas for ENGIE North America (ENA), you will lead a team of SCADA Engineers in development and support of SCADA projects for renewable generation (Wind and Solar) in North America (US and Canada).   • A minimum of seven (7) years of industrial automation working experience in the Power Sector

Every day you will be responsible for leading the valuation, structuring guidance, advise on commercial agreements, risk allocation, bankability of contracts, financing alternatives, and expected investment returns throughout the business development process of investments, mergers and acquisition, and project financing plans. You will present investment opportunities to ENGIE leadership, defend project economics, and risks for the review committees.

 

  • Develop, analyze, evaluate and recommend financial options and proposals as they relate to business development projects or other funding needs
  • Advise internal stakeholders in understanding appropriate risk allocation, bankability of terms and conditions of various project contracts and provide general structuring advice and optimization of returns throughout the business development process
  • Structure, negotiate and execute financing documents (internal or project finance) for medium to large size transactions
  • Identify main project economic and financial risks and advise on the appropriate mitigation factors and definition of appropriate contingencies
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions, following group guidelines. Maintain responsibility for the accuracy and correct incorporation of relevant inputs to such models. Propose and implement relevant sensitivity analysis for investment files
  • Assist the business development decision making process and manage internal approvals process for new economic commitments and associated financing arrangements
  • Create and lead presentations for lender and management updates and discussions
  • Coach and mentor more junior members of the AIFA team

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Math, or a STEM-focused degree program where you have learned project management, project financing, investments, equity, mergers, acquisitions, power, energy, or renewable market skills
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in all aspects of project finance and M&A transactions where you lead the modeling/analysis, drive the structuring, negotiating legal documentation, execution of transactions and detailed financial modeling for each project from start of the development process to the successful closing of an investment or acquisition
  • Broad power industry expertise, including working in retail, energy services, renewables and / or generation markets
