Job Purpose:

     The Data Center Facilities BMS/DCIM Operator is responsible to supervise and control the operation of the building management system (BMS) & Data Center infrastructure Management (DCIM) System and monitor all Electrical, ELV, and fire/life safety equipment, HVAC plant activities of the Data center building services within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. Maintaining and monitoring the level of temperature in equipment’s and trouble notifying against the DCIM alarms. The Operator serves as an expert technical resource reporting and interacting with onsite Engineers and any third-party vendors. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operates and maintains Building Management System (BMS) for proper function and monitors the DCIM against approved benchmarks to include; HVAC, Lighting, Fire Suppression, Generator, Plumbing, and Electrical
  • Carry out routine checks for correct operation of all control equipment as directed by Facility Engineer
  • Monitor the operation of the HVAC control systems using the BMS/DCIM to monitor performance.
  • Adjust variables and provide adjustment as required to ensure systems are operating correctly within parameters
  • Monitor and record values of HVAC systems to build up a database of records to provide data for energy efficiency improvement.
  • Communicate all maintenance and repair actions in writing for information to management as required.
  • Should follow the Protocols if any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time.
  • Monitors and verifies operation of all BMS/DCIM field devices.
  • Adjusts BMS settings and parameters to meet changing conditions, i.e., Load, Environmental, Customer needs, etc.
  • Records maintenance data and generates reports as needed.
  • Maintains job card documentation for all Alarms or changes to systems and/or equipment.
  • Monitors of fire detection alarm system, such as smoke detector, heat detector, sprinkler, and emergency exit, in coordination with Safety Function.
  • Monitors of Water tank supply level alarm, air handling unit, fresh air handling unit.
  • Monitors and controls the Fire pump system, motors, sewage pump, electrical system, water system in the Data Center building.
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his Facility Engineer
  • Daily checking healthiness of all facilities equipment’s and keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  • Create the Job cards in CAFM (FSI) Mobile App as per Site requirements and close the Job cards which Engineer assigns.

As our Maintenance Planner II, at The Ohio State University, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities to prevent equipment breakdowns and minimize equipment/system downtime.

What You Can Expect

As a Water Treatment Technician, you'll maintain the University of Iowa's drinking water treatment plant and support the High-Quality Water Group, which oversees various facilities including the Oakdale Water Plant, MacBride Nature Recreation Area Public Water System, and campus pools and spas. This position entails day shift work from Monday to Friday, with rotational on-call duties including nights, weekends, and holidays, requiring you to be on-site within one hour when called upon.

 

Every day you will review priorities and plan tasks. You'll interact with students, faculty, and staff, explaining service and repair processes and addressing safety concerns professionally and courteously. Your responsibilities encompass performing preventative maintenance and repairs on various water treatment equipment (e.g., water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, filtration systems).. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining large plant equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, and compressors. Monitoring and maintaining chemical injection and piping systems (PVC, copper, steel). Conducting electrical troubleshooting (e.g., checking voltage to pumps, switches, motors).

 

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience or a combination of training and experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs

Salary Range:  $26.58 – $40.74 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Experience working with MS Excel and MS word.

 

Functions/ Task:             

Safety at Work

  • Ensures a safe working environment for himself, his colleagues and contractors while working on any equipment.
  • Ensures that there is a Permit to Work for each job as necessitated by the safety rules and associated Procedures.
  • Ensures all Method Statements Work Instruction and Procedures are followed by himself and Contractors while undertaking any work.
  • Ensures that all appropriate tools are available to ensure work can be carried out safely on equipment on all jobs at the plant.
  • Points out any unsafe conditions to the Energy Engineer or Team Leader.

 

Equipment Failure Trouble Shooting and Repair

  • Supports the 24-hour operation by being regularly available for call-out at short notice.
  • Records and reports to the Lead Engineer all survey details

 

Reporting and Planning

  • Creates equipment condition assessment reports based on surveys conducted.
  • Manage Measurement equipment and measurement timelines as dictated by lead engineer.

 

 

 

Use of Tools and Equipment

  • Ensures appropriate tools and equipment are available at work sites and used while performing any job
  • Ensures that tools are in a safe and in good working order before use.
  • Reports loss of tools or damage to any tools to the lead Engineer

Main Responsibilities

1)Ensure smooth execution of Electrical activities at the construction site as per approved drawing and QHSE protocols.  

2)Coordination with EPC and PMC for all electrical related activities and ensure progress as per approved schedule.

3)Review of Electrical drawings and giving inputs to Engg. team for optimisation.

4) Coordinate with EPC to ensure material required for electrical activities is delivered as per BOQ.

5)Ensuring Testing and Safe commissioning of the allocated clusters after following proper safety protocols.

6) Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to eliminate risks to personnel, equipment, and the environment during construction, commissioning and operation activities.

 

Qualification, Experience and Skill

  • B.Tech in Electrical (EEE)
  • 6-12 Years of experience in Solar construction

Location:
