JOB PURPOSE:
The Project Manager shall be responsible to successfully plan, manage, execute, complete and handover multiple projects related to Data Centre Whitespace Infrastructure services, electrical LV and ELV small works.
The key responsibility is to ensure timely completion of projects within approved budgets on costs and resources without compromising on quality and safety using internal staff as well as subcontractors and sub consultants.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, organize, and participate in implementing retro-fit works, decommissioning/re-commissioning IT racks, new installation of electrical circuits.
Defining project scope and perform project estimates.
Manage all aspects of the design.
Provide quotations for works to client organisation, ensure project estimates are accurate and the project scope is executable within the budget
Oversee and coordinate the submission of material submittals, drawings, and method statements for client approval
Obtain, Coordinate and oversee subcontractor project executions
Prepare project implementation schedules/plans.
Communicate project, subcontractor and package updates to line manager.
Plan, oversee and complete all startup, testing and commissioning functions.
Review subcontractor BOQs and invoices for accuracy and completion and verify subcontractor completed works are in line with contract requirements
Create project commissioning plans and system specific templates and tests for subcontractor testing
Coordinate with clients on project documentation, health and safety requirements and subcontractor compliance
Oversee various contractors and internal staff during design, specification, bid, installation and management phases
Support procurement team in creating project RFPs based on project requirements and float them for tender and bidding in the market
Manage approvals, completion of work and payment of project consultants and contractors
Make site visits to verify and confirm project performance/QHSE and operation
Maintain organized project files and information for reporting to client, invoicing and company performance in company standards and format
Monitor project budgets and schedule and oversee performance to ensure on time, quality and on budget project execution, manage invoicing of all works completed.
Prepare periodic reports for management including status of budgets, variance/change claims, schedules, disputes, up-coming activities & safety records.
Ensure that the health and safety requirements are provided and that they comply with Engie & authorities regulations.
Provides guidance, managerial, technical support to complete project team.
Work hours at dictate of project timing but generally 5 Days/10hr.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
A highly self-motivated, ambitious individual
Data Center installation/operation experience
High energy and action oriented with professional presence - Client facing.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to travel when needed to project sites
Knowledge of building systems, energy technologies, green building and high performance design
Team-oriented, hands-on, highly skilled, adaptive, and client-focused
Construction and subcontracting experience (LV electrical and controls - ELV)
Proven track record on completing projects

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Project Management certification.
Energy Professional certification - Certified Energy Manager preferred
5-10 years’ experience in ELECTRICAL/ELV Construction engineering position in Middle East
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Expert skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Microsoft Project or Primavera
Good spoken English
UAE driving licence - essential

Job Purpose:

The Data Center Facilities BMS/DCIM Operator is responsible to supervise and control the operation of the building management system (BMS) & Data Center infrastructure Management (DCIM) System and monitor all Electrical, ELV, and fire/life safety equipment, HVAC plant activities of the Data center building services within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. Maintaining and monitoring the level of temperature in equipment’s, Trouble notifying against the DCIM alarms. The Operator serves as an expert technical resource reporting and interacting with onsite Engineers and any third-party vendors. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

Operates and maintains Building Management System (BMS) for proper function and monitors the DCIM against approved benchmarks to include; HVAC, Lighting, Fire Suppression, Generator, Plumbing, and Electrical

Carry out routine checks for correct operation of all control equipment as directed by Facility Engineer

Monitor the operation of the HVAC control systems using the BMS/DCIM to monitor performance.

Adjust variables and provide adjustment as required to ensure systems are operating correctly within parameters.

Monitor and record values of HVAC systems to build up a database of records to provide data for energy efficiency improvement.

Communicate all maintenance and repair actions in writing for information to management as required.

Should follow the Protocols if any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time.

Monitors and verifies operation of all BMS/DCIM field devices.

Adjusts BMS settings and parameters to meet changing conditions, i.e., Load, Environmental, Customer needs, etc.

Records maintenance data and generates reports as needed.

Maintains job card documentation for all Alarms or changes to systems and/or equipment.

Monitors of fire detection alarm system, such as smoke detector, heat detector, sprinkler, and emergency exit, in coordination with Safety Function.

Monitors of Water tank supply level alarm, air handling unit, fresh air handling unit.

Monitors and controls the Fire pump system, motors, sewage pump, electrical system, water system in the Data Center building.

Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his Facility Engineer

Daily checking healthiness of all facilities equipment’s and keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.

Create the Job cards in CAFM (FSI) Mobile App as per Site requirements and close the Job cards which Engineer assigns.

Responding promptly and efficiently to emergencies calls.

Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, Electrical systems, ELV system, fire/life safety, and other systems.

Comply with all safety procedures and requirements

Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required

Attend training sessions and seminars.

Other assigned tasks as requested.

Skills Required:

 

Working knowledge of Electrical & ELV systems including secondary distribution, HVAC System interior systems

Ability to read CAD Drawings, single-line diagrams, and rough shop drawings

Possess strong knowledge in multiple skilled trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc)

 Requires ability to analyse the operation of various infrastructure systems, determine the cause of problems/malfunctions, and take corrective actions as required

Trained and experienced in BMS/DCIM operation.

Vigilant with attention for detail.

Excellent computer operation skills.

Ability to deal with emergency situations in a calm manner. Integrity, commitment and courteous.

What You Can Expect

The Project Manager Advisor is the primary manager of all phases of an energy project, with the objective of successful completion on time and within budget, while maintaining quality, safety, and cash management standards, and producing strong customer references. Assigned projects will include a combination of energy efficiency measures, renewable generation installations, and various carbon reduction strategies, to help public sector, commercial and industrial customers around the United States become more sustainable, save money, and improve processes in their plants and services to their end-users. In this role, you will manage one to several projects simultaneously from early development through post-construction, including design, contract negotiations, and project implementation.

 

In addition to assigning responsibilities to the project team and establishing schedules for individual team members, the Project Manager Advisor oversees various technical aspects of the project. This includes developing the project scope, conducting savings analysis, and ensuring the feasibility of proposed measures. Collaborating closely with the Sales team, they assist in customer presentations and interviews during the project's development phase. Furthermore, they liaise with the Legal department to prepare and negotiate customer agreements and change orders, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. The Project Manager Advisor is also responsible for managing all cost components throughout project implementation, maintaining precise budget records, and promptly notifying supervisors of any necessary adjustments. Additionally, they work alongside the construction manager to establish a comprehensive project schedule with regular progress milestones, ensuring timely completion. Alongside these responsibilities, they actively engage with Accounting to facilitate monthly customer invoicing and address any payment delays or issues proactively. Finally, they ensure compliance with local labor regulations and oversee the timely completion of monitoring set-up packages and final job close-out information.

 

This position will sit in Sacramento, CA and will report to the Director of Project Management.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in which you have gained a knowledge of construction management, engineering elements, and project management functions

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience, including training 
  • Proficient in financial analysis skills to predict customer project economics and manage project budgets

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

What You’ll Bring

  • 5 years of supervisory experience

  • You have experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Microsoft Office; managing the Maximo CMMS maintenance work order, equipment history and record keeping system

What You Can Expect

As our Estimator Advisor, you will be the primary cost estimation expert, resource for capital improvement projects for campus energy systems and new business development related to new partnerships with universities or commercial and industrial entities. These energy systems encompass the production and distribution of electricity, chilled water, heating hot water, and steam, along with the distribution of natural gas.

 

  • For business development projects or acquisitions, this role will coordinate with the Major Projects team composed of contracts managers, project managers, engineering, and project management office.

 

  • For projects at existing partnerships, this role will liaise with the other members of the Local Capital Projects Team including, but not limited to, Georgetown University in Washington, DC, Iowa University in Iowa City, IA and Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.

 

Every day you will be critical in supporting our Major Projects team by delivering accurate and comprehensive cost estimates to drive successful planning and execution.

 

You will report to the Vice President of Major Projects & Industrial Project Oversight and Support (IPOS).

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, technical discipline, construction management, or a related field
  • You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in utility and power infrastructure projects
  • You have knowledge of cost estimation methodologies, tools, and software like, RSMeans
  • You can develop detailed budgetary and indicative cost estimates for utility and power generation projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related expenses. Support project management team during all phases of the project from conceptual design through handover to Operations
  • You will develop and maintain cost estimate template to support business development and major capital project opportunities. Develop and maintain a template library, like contingency calculator, and cost reporting to build best in class cost management function
  • You can develop, update, and maintain historical pricing data base and estimation tools to reflect current market conditions and industry standards
  • You will review and incorporate historical data from estimates, cost data, indexes, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures. Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures
  • You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and develop accurate cost projections
  • You have experience analyzing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
  • You will review general contractor pricing proposals for accuracy and gaps, and challenge assumptions and rates
  • You will conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address potential cost overruns

What You Can Expect

The Project Manager Advisor is the primary manager of all phases of an energy project, with the objective of successful completion on time and within budget, while maintaining quality, safety, and cash management standards, and producing strong customer references. Assigned projects will include a combination of energy efficiency measures, renewable generation installations, and various carbon reduction strategies, to help public sector, commercial and industrial customers around the United States become more sustainable, save money, and improve processes in their plants and services to their end-users. In this role, you will manage one to several projects simultaneously from early development through post-construction, including design, contract negotiations, and project implementation.

 

In addition to assigning responsibilities to the project team and establishing schedules for individual team members, the Project Manager Advisor oversees various technical aspects of the project. This includes developing the project scope, conducting savings analysis, and ensuring the feasibility of proposed measures. Collaborating closely with the Sales team, they assist in customer presentations and interviews during the project's development phase. Furthermore, they liaise with the Legal department to prepare and negotiate customer agreements and change orders, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. The Project Manager Advisor is also responsible for managing all cost components throughout project implementation, maintaining precise budget records, and promptly notifying supervisors of any necessary adjustments. Additionally, they work alongside the construction manager to establish a comprehensive project schedule with regular progress milestones, ensuring timely completion. Alongside these responsibilities, they actively engage with Accounting to facilitate monthly customer invoicing and address any payment delays or issues proactively. Finally, they ensure compliance with local labor regulations and oversee the timely completion of monitoring set-up packages and final job close-out information.

 

This position can sit in Oakland, CA and will report to the Director of Project Management.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in which you have gained a knowledge of construction management, engineering elements, and project management functions

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience, including training 
  • Proficient in financial analysis skills to predict customer project economics and manage project budgets 
  • Strong negotiation skills that protect ENGIE’s interests on a given project, while building customer and vendor/subcontractor rapport 
  • Ability to prepare and write accurate customer reports and RFX responses, with attention to customer goals and needs 
  • Capability to create and execute project development and delivery schedules 
  • Excellent adherence to schedule, and collaborative problem-solving skills to maintain budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction

What You Can Expect

As our Electrical / Electronic Tech, you will be responsible for maintenance and repair of plant instrumentation and controls. On both a preventative / reliability basis and for emergency service work.

  • Must possess a high school diploma
  • You have completed training as an instrumentation & controls technician; with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance of plant equipment
  • You will implement and carry out required plant maintenance functions and repairs at various sites

  • Monitoring steam pressure and temperature levels to ensure safe operating conditions

  • Class 2 Steam Engineer registered with MOM/ Singapore Polytechnic

Nel Ruolo di Maintenance Engineer riporterai al Contract Manager e, in coordinamento con il team Industrial & Facility Energy Services, gestirai le attività di manutenzione ordinaria e straordinaria dei Contratti a te assegnati.

  • Predisporre i preventivi e le offerte economiche per lo sviluppo dei lavori indotti di commessa
