Job Purpose:

ENGIE Solutions is a leading facilities management and energy management organisation operating in the middle east. We are seeking an Bid Estimator to plan, manage and execute the operational and cost build ups for technical/facilities services projects. This role entails accountability for managing estimating projects, developing accurate and detailed pricing models aligned to contract scope, company standards, industry standards and market rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review Clients RFPs in detail and understand their requirements
  • Development of clear and detailed cost estimates for facilities services/technical services
  • Adherence to ENGIE Solutions and industry guidelines
  • Detailed reading and understanding of client scopes
  • Ensure that all scope requirements are met, and risks associated to contract/scope are clearly evaluated
  • Coordination of and attendance to site visits & tender briefings and subsequent post tender meetings as well as handover documentation
  • Assessing subcontractor requirements and generate competitive subcontractor pricing and bespoke service solutions aligned to the project
  • Manage subcontractor site visits and quotations gathering
  • Coordination and active interaction with sales and operational teams to ensure the development of a win-win solution
  • Work closely with HR, Procurement and QHSE teams to ensure compliance and accuracy of data in pricing
  • Ability to continuously develop and innovate estimating models
  • Keeping up with industry standards

Skills Required:

  • Prior experience of estimating Energy Efficiency service scopes with a focus on continuous improvement is desirable
  • Demonstrable experience in Energy Efficiency services
  • Strong commercial acumen including the ability to read and understand contract scopes
  • Strong team player with a proven ability to assemble bid teams, build a rapport with his/her peers and lead project teams to deliver win-win solutions

Job Purpose:

     The Data Center Electrical Facility Engineer will be the responsible for Data Center Engineering Operations within a Data Center including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting. He is responsible for ensuring that all Electrical, ELV, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. They are expected to be a singular focal point for all Electrical related facility operations within a given data center. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, and building automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the on-site management of DC, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & Site local legislation.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Generate job cards & incident management tickets for Data Center facility.
  • Work with DCO managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability and efficiency.
  • Establish documentation relevant to business & facility operations.
  • Manage routine maintenance and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, building monitoring systems, etc.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.
  • Drive & implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability.
  • Management of the DC, in the provision of infrastructure & inventory asset management.
  • Review DC contract compliance & ensure all SLA’s are achieved.
  • Business interface with DC Management for day to day operational requirements.
  • Assist in recruiting efforts.
  • Manage DC to resolve of any infrastructure Electrical engineering issues.

What You Can Expect
The Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager to provide comprehensive  support for a Capital Project on Campus, ensuring smooth execution of project activities, planning, coordination with key contractor(s)/vendors, CapEx team, and Operations & Maintenance teams.

  • Assist the Program / Project Manager administratively and with field activities during project development and execution of the Capital Project.  
  • Support Operations & Maintenance and Contractor with any walk-downs or site visits to areas such as distribution system(s) and mechanical room(s) to confirm existing site conditions as part of construction planning activities. 
  • Actively participate in discussions with Project, Engineering, and Contractor teams for outage, equipment staging, and any other construction planning meetings. 
  • Provide input on logistics and construction plans from ENGIE or other third parties. 
  • Conduct site surveys at least three times per week (or as needed by the Capital Project) to gather project data, assess progress, and ensure alignment with project plans. 
  • Assist with management of interfaces with University and Contractor(s) and other vendor(s), including staging and logistics for temporary equipment, deliveries, and utility outage planning and execution. 
  • Act as the field superintendent for the Project by addressing execution issues, alongside the Construction Manager on the Project. 
  • Coordinate with appropriate parties for any required project permits, including coordination with Contractor and University, as needed. 
  • As needed, conduct coordination activities for parking passes, keys, and badges for Contractor(s). 
  • Inform other contractor(s) or vendor(s) about Contractor activities in the affected Capital Project areas. 
  • As needed, Conduct Contractor safety orientation (including coordination with Construction Manager), and assist safety coordinator(s) with information tracking or document updates. 
  • As needed, handle administrative tasks related to the project, including maintaining project documentation (e.g., contracts, meeting minutes, reports). Organize and maintain project data and files, transferring information between platforms and documents as required. Perform administrative duties including word processing, hard copy, and electronic filing, copying, scanning, and binding of documents.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience required. 
  • High School Diploma required. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
  • Experience with Primavera P6 is preferred, along with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Experience with Procore, and/or various other project & construction management software tools, e.g. Procore, SharePoint, Bluebeam.
  • Experience in construction industry and/or operations / field roles is required. 
  • Excellent organization and communication skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Demonstrate flexibility, responsibility, and initiative without direct supervision. 
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems, applications, and procedures. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

What You Can Expect

As our Instrumentation & Controls Manager, at Georgetown University, you will rebuild a team of I/C technicians including development and training. The ideal candidate will be interested in being a key contributor to large scale infrastructure upgrades.

 

Every day you will support ENGIE Asset Optimization at the Central Utility Plant and collaborate with centralized IT/OT, network and cybersecurity teams as well as the customer. You will report to the Director of Energy Delivery.

 

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience In Lieu of a Bachelor’s degree a HS Diploma / GED equivalent and a combination of education and professional experience totaling a minimum of ten (10) years, including the experience listed below.
  • You possess 7 years of experience working in Instrumentation, Controls, Metering, Cybersecurity and Information Technology and working knowledge of the Perdue Model
  • You can demonstrate the ability to resolve complex production issues
  • You have the ability to read and markup electrical, loop and P&ID diagrams
  • You will be responsible for reviewing, commissioning, upgrading, debugging, expanding, maintaining and operating ENGIE’s control systems, networks and data acquisition systems

  • You will create reports to meet client needs and develop alarms based on the needs of the operations group
