Purpose of the job

 

  • Monitor, analyse, challenge and report the business and financial operational results of the assets, within the values, compliance principles, policies and rules of ENGIE and according to its strategy and objectives of results.
  • Challenge operational activities, contracts, and structuring to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance.
  • Take an active role in the operational finance and notably in monitoring and reviewing the financial matters across the assets and in advising to the CFO, the ENGIE India Board members.
  • Heading the periodic business and performance review presented to the group GBU’s Financial business partner and Regional HUB top management.

 

Key activities and competencies

  1. Strategic
    • Manage the yearly Budget and medium-terms plans, and within-year re-forecasts, and risks and opportunities for a dedicated asset perimeter.
    • Contribute to the compliance of all companies with finance & accounting policies of group.
    • Advising the CFO and the CEO of strategic decision impacts on the KPIs.
    • Contribute and review business hypothesis of the Investment committee notes.

    • manage the data retrieval, analysis, consolidation and monthly reporting. Ensure that accounting package and business Reporting is accurate, complete and reported in a timely fashion.
    • Provide support to AIFA in the yearly impairment testing exercise.

 

  1. Organisational
    • Challenges, inquires, and consolidates best estimate KFI forecasting, risk and opportunities’ analysis for a dedicated asset perimeter.
    • Contribute to the finance transformation

 

  1. Planning & Delivery of Work
    • Participate actively to the periodic enterprise risk assessment of the business and provides support to the Tax teams.
    • Produce ad-hoc analysis as required or needed by stakeholders / internal clients.

 

  1. Decision Making
    • Preparation and reporting of early warning reports.
    • Coordination, preparation, analysis and consolidation of rep. letters.

 

  1. Working with others
    • Monitor new regulations, in particular with respect to finance, accounting and fiscal matters, and assess the impact on the business.
    • Be accountable for and set up procedures related to timely and qualitative statutory reporting processes and for reconciliation process between financial statements for local purpose and those report for consolidation under the Group.
    • Support and contribute to financial, and risk management (injection, hedging and treasury) decisions in coordination with ENGIE Corporate Finance.
    • Monitor, support and contribute to the cash upstream activities in coordination with ENGIE Corporate Finance.
    • Review of the financial information (including but not limited to the Board packs, the assets’ finance committees) and provide advisory to the CFO Other GCC and Pakistan, the ENGIE Board members and the assets CFO/Finance teams on all finance matters.
    • Contribute to ‘smart’ reporting and analytics (SG&A and other) of a dedicated perimeter.
    • Provide support to ad hoc financial topics.

Required Qualifications

  • Qualifications:
    • CA or Valuable MBA
    • Recognised accountancy qualification.

 

  • Experience:
    • Min 8 years’ experience in Finance / Business Control / AIFA / transactional finance, etc.
    • Experience of external audit with significant audit firm / or within a multinational industrial and asset-based company is preferable.

 

  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Familiar with complex organizations (multi-cultural, wide geographical scope, multi-disciplinary, listed subsidiaries, or with minority interests or strong partners).
    • High level of comprehension of IFRS.

He / She reports to the Manager / Head of Electrical Engineering. His/Her responsibilities cover all the activities of ENGIE in India and in each and every country where projects are developed and built.

 

The position is based in Pune and business trips may be envisaged in India & overseas.

 

MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The missions & responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer are :

 

oManage and coordinate engineering work packages with respect to choice of technologies, technical configurations and for setting relevant performance, statutory, safety and quality requirements for multiple projects.
oIn charge of all aspects and documentation of the contractual negotiations during Business Development of all Technical-related agreements: EPC, EPCM, PPA, OE, LTSA, etc.
oPrepare variety of complex engineering deliverables for multiple projects.
oPrepare complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles
oKnowledge of various IS, IEC and IEEE etc standards related to the Engineering deliverables.
oPreparation and review of various engineering design work.
oPreparation and review of Solar PV Layouts (assisting draftsman), SLD (DC & AC side), engineering calculations like earthing, cable sizing, battery sizing etc, trench layouts, review of OEM vendors drawings (GTP, GA & QAP),SCADA documents, Sub-station part etc.
oWork closely with the procurement and construction team in line with the procurement strategies and construction strategies.
oBe responsible for drafting/contributing to and negotiating owner specifications, including the incorporation of the latest group experience and standards.
oPrepare BOQ & comparison for the Project (Pre-Bid/Post-Bid) coordinating with BD, O&M & other departments input.
oFactory Visit for evaluating different OEM’s for major equipment’s
oSite Visit for the upcoming and ongoing projects
oPreparation of SOPs and Checklists for the methodology followed for various processes
oContribution to interface with Lender's Engineer and support Lenders’ due diligence.
oManagement of internal approval process (O&M and Technical).
oSupport of Construction Managers of Project Companies or Plant Managers of O&M Companies, for punctual problems during construction, commissioning phase and during operations.
oActively coordinates with all other internal and external team members om multiple projects.
oPerform technology watch and share knowledge within the ETSG team.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

 

Pre-requisites:
oMasters/Bachelor’s degree in engineering BE/BTech or equivalent (Full time) AICTE recognised University.
oMinimum of 6-8 years of experience in the power generation sector (Ideally in Solar & Wind sector) with specific knowledge, expertise and experience in developing or designing / review of solar PV projects (Experience in Wind project would be added advantage) including the ability to:
•Evaluate and perform feasibility studies
•Conduct technology configurations
•Determine construction strategies and operating philosophies
•Evaluate conceptual designs and knowledge of AutoCad.
•Perform techno-economic cost analyses for the full lifecycle of a project
•Draft, review and negotiate commercial and contractual agreements
•Manage and advice transversally on all technical aspects of a project from cradle to grave
oMinimum 5 years of experience in a project management / technical coordination function / technical on solar PV projects. Formal training in project management is strongly desirable;
oKnowledge in other renewable technologies such as BESS and Wind would be advantageous.
oHandling multidisciplinary projects are considered strong assets;
oA basic understanding of HV/MV/LV (DC & AC) electrical systems, including international practices on grid connection for centralized energy projects, as well as electrical system integration & optimization for industrial customers.
oKnowledge and experience working on competitive tenders in different regions (National & International) would be advantageous.

The position

 

Internal Control objective is to provide reasonable assurance to management in terms of :

  • Compliance of the organization processes with the group golden rules and policies
  • effectiveness and efficiency of business operations (including prevention of risks of fraud)
  • reliability of financial reporting. Internal Control covers both financial process and all other operational and strategic processes.

Financial processes:

In the Target Finance Operating model, the financial processes and some other transactional processes are run in expertise centres at different levels of the organization, either directly or with shared service centres.  All the Finance management line is responsible for delivering to GBUs the corresponding outcome with the appropriate level of internal control. While the Head of Internal control India will focus on Finance & Accounting related topics, he/she will also work on other domains throughout ENGIE (for instance Health and Safety, Sapin 2, ethics,…).

 

Your main objectives

  • you follow, complement
  • you coordinate and monitor the deployment of effective internal controls (INCOME) within all activities of the entities 
  • you ensure adoption of INCOME programs, appropriate to the needs of entities activities and in line with GBU expectations;
  • you act as business partner and advisor to management in managing risks and improving the maturity of their business processes.
  • you provide assurance to the management for the signoff of the annual IC attestation letter, confirming that Internal Control systems are appropriate to mitigate the main risks, and that action plans are defined as required.
  • You perform 2nd level control activity over the GBU activities in the INDIA entities.

 

Your key Accountabilities

  • Propose to the management the annual INCOME roadmap setting the IC objectives and scope, in line with entities priorities, GBU expectations and ENGIE Corporate requirements.
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of INDIA annual IC roadmap
  • Supervise the implementation of Internal Control in the entities for the general control environment evaluation and for the INCOME process analysis. Coordinate the different steps of the program with Internal Control community and operational entities.
  • On a case by case basis, support the Business Process Owners (BPO) with the implementation of adequate internal controls.
  • Define and monitor and test the reliability of the self-assessment and share experience on best practices (o/w INCOME reviews, Highbond dashboards, incident analyses).

  • Oversee the controls self-assessment, report progress to Internal Control Officer AMEA, prepare IC annual reports for the Management

  • Prepare the annual global synthesis presentation for INDIA

Mission:

In full coordination with the Regional HUB Chief security officer, the Country Security Manager leads, coordinates, plans, implements, and organizes security-related activities for all GBUs and other ENGIE entities operating in their country (or area) of responsibility.

In their country (or area of responsibility), they are the pivotal element for all security-related matters, whether they concern the Group or third parties that collaborate with it. They cooperate with all interested parties and actively participate, within the framework of their functions, in protecting our employees, our infrastructures, and our information against malicious acts by ensuring the definition and implementation of prevention/protection measures that mitigate the security risk to an acceptable level.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise the country managing director and managers of GBUs (or other Engie entities) operating in the country on security issues,
  • Ensure that the Group's security policy is deployed in their country and that their security action plan is aligned with this policy and with the related Group Guidelines,
  • Maintain and develop liaison with all Engie local entity personnel and, if necessary, with local administrations and appropriate government/military agencies
  • Maintain and develop a dialogue with the security managers by participating in the bimonthly "security gathering”, by regularly transmitting to the Regional HUB CSO the information needed to fill in the security incident reporting tool (or by feeding the tool himself/herself) and by reporting any notable event,
  • Proactively identify, monitor, and respond to potential and actual threats to ENGIE employees, assets, and facilities in their country (or area of responsibility) and provide alerts on immediate threats and emerging trends to managers and, if necessary, to their Regional HUB CSO for informed decision making,
  • Monitor local regulations, technologies, and threats, contribute to the DSIE "threat watch" and facilitate exchanges between the DSIE (and more specifically its business intelligence unit) and the entities/managers for whom the "competitive intelligence" information is relevant,
  • Ensure that appropriate physical protection measures are implemented85 (badges, cameras, alarms, electronic/physical locks, etc.)
  • Ensure a secure environment for employees, and in particular, for local employees and expatriates, and provide travel advice88 to business travelers on assignment (including local security alerts),
  •  Participate in the protection of sensitive and/or strategic information by raising staff awareness, by mapping this data in liaising with all internal or external entities concerned (and in particular DPOS/CDPMS, CISOS, risk officers, internal control officers, and local authorities for documents classified as "national security"), by contributing to the implementation of the group's information classification, and by conducting or participating in investigations when a leak of sensitive information is identified, preparing to manage a security crisis (or participating in a crisis unit which includes a "security" issue),
  • Participate in the annual internal control exercise (self-assessment), in coordination with the regional HUB CSO, identify gaps and develop risk mitigation plans, lead and manage the "security" aspects of major group events in their country, in liaise with their regional HUB CSO when necessary,
  • Developing, if necessary and in conjunction with their regional HUB CSO, country-specific security policies, procedures, and plans to maintain appropriate security, in compliance with group security rules and local regulations,
  •  Regularly perform, with the support of their regional HUB CSO, third party “audits” (security providers) and/or due diligence94 (subcontractors, private security companies...) And share the result with their regional HUB CSO and the DSIE when necessary,
  • Collaborate with business developers to identify risks related to their projects and operations (current or future) and propose appropriate solutions to mitigate them,
  • Participate - in liaising with the regional HUB CSO - in the annual mapping of security risks, listing all identified risks (on people, infrastructure, and information) for their country (or area of responsibility) and transmitting the elements to the regional HUB CSO,
  • Share with the regional HUB CSO, the DSIE, and the security network, the lessons learned from feedback.
  • Lead crisis management efforts with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the effective integration of site procedures into the overall crisis management system.

 

Profile: 

  • Master’s degree, in security or equivalent
  •  At least 5 years of experience as a security manager in police, military, or security within an industrial group.
  • French and English proficiency (Arabic is a plus).
  • Good people management skills;
  • Flexible, meticulous, good planner, and organizer. 
  • Ability to work autonomously and be proactive.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • Provide procurement support to all South African operational entities across a defined set of categories, assets, owners and O&M companies.
  • Implement the defined short and medium term procurement strategy with all concerned departments.

  • Enforce the Group procurement policy and governance when procuring all goods and services.
  • Support the warehouse stock, inventory, ordering, and replenishment process for the entities in the scope.
  • Ensure good relations with suppliers and vendors and build up a vendor database;

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In other cases, manage the whole Procurement process:

•            Scan the market to identify potential suppliers.

•            Roll out the tender process.

•            Identify, analyse, evaluate, execute and document and exception (emergencies and urgencies) to the process with the proper authorisations.

Finalise the supplier and prepare the contract / purchase order.

 

Ensure proper execution of the contract / purchase order

  • Ensure Purchase orders / contracts are approved according to the Procurement delegation.
