What You Can Expect

The Construction Project Field Manager (PFM) is responsible for providing quality assurance and safety oversight of the activities and installation of the construction of utility scale projects by the EPC/BOP contractor, Its subcontractor, and supplier. The PFM will comply with ENGIE Delivery Standard Operating Procedures throughout the progress of construction activities for the ENGIE site team. The PFM will be accountable to the Project Manager for assigned grid scale project(s).

 

  • Every day the PFM will represent ENGIE as overall monitoring project site manager reporting to the Project Manager for project related issues, concerns, and achievements
  • Direct, observe, report, and coordinate activities of assigned Field Observers on required safety check points
  • Train and mentor teams members on key activities including but not limited to contractor monitoring, inspections, observations, reporting, and safety management
  • Provide input to Project Manager(s) and Construction Management Advisor on selection and evaluation of ENGIE site team members
  • Work collaboratively with owner’s project manager to oversee and coordinate contractor scopes of work
  • Perform daily site walks/drives for overall progress, safety, and quality verification. Perform joint safety and quality inspections with the EPC and supplier counterparts
  • Attend preconstruction meetings with all involved construction entities as required
  • Coordinate and attend weekly progress meetings to be held by EPC contractors, engineers, and internal stake holders to include but not limited to safety and quality roundtable discussions with other project sites
  • Attend monthly progress meetings to be held by EPC contractor as well as owner’s internal stakeholders
  • Perform constructability reviews of projects in early design phase
  • Input and review during the design process through IFC
  • Review designs, construction sequence plans, and proposed schedule for each phase of construction
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly progress reports and submit to stake holders
  • Ensure construction work complies with all applicable plans, specifications, building codes and other legal or regulatory requirements
  • Collect, verify, and report on completeness of required safety process documentation from each contractor on site, review any unsatisfactory results and provide reporting for entire project through designated channels
  • Manage relationships with owner’s clients and stakeholders
  • Represent ENGIE as facilitator for resolution of project conflicts such as construction problems, scheduling delays, logistical conflicts, and construction methods
  • Work directly with project managers, EPC contractor, other contractors, module and MPT suppliers, engineers, vendors, and others as required
  • Complete daily logs, construction reports, safety inspections, and various construction inspections
  • Complete a review of all job books submitted to validate all deliverable items are included, including all pertinent testing results
  • Utilize Procore for all project related documents and enter lessons learned module to capture and record lessons learned during the construction phase

  • Coordinate final inspections, testing, commissioning, and walk-downs and establish final punch list
  • Proactively identify areas of potential risk and identify design or construction elements likely to result in disputes or claims
  • Observe delivery of major equipment and provide general physical inspection including shock sensors, dents, scratches, and/or any other obvious physical damage
  • Monitor proper storage and security of materials and Equipment Prepare regular progress reports in accordance with project execution procedures (PEP) outline
  • Provide real-time updates on key construction activities such as site clearing/grading and other civil works, access roads, solar array construction, AC and DC collection systems, transmission lines and substation via GIS-based system provided by owner

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ total experience with a minimum of five (5) years of Site Management experience constructing renewable projects
  • Experience with managing projects larger than 100MW
  • OSHA 30 hour certification
  • Strong background with renewable construction projects
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and with PROCORE
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Construction Processes and Sequencing

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily/weekly/rotational basis
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 100% of the time
  • U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record, for the use of fleet cars, personal and or hire cars when traveling, to drive to site locations and meetings

Compensation

Salary Range: $84,000 – $128,800 USD annually

What You Can Expect

Working remotely in the Northeast region, the Senior Photovoltaic (PV) Technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of a large number of solar projects.

 

These are smaller scale projects currently the largest is about 5 Megawatts (MW). As the Senior Technician you will be supporting projects and clients throughout the Northeastern United States.  In this region we are split between ground mount units and commercial rooftop units. We do not do residential work. Knowledge of IT and SCADA would be beneficial. You will have gained strong customer service acumen, discussing scheduling of preventative maintenance, problems found and recommending options or requirements to repair or maintain the customers equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work performed at client locations follows client and ENGIE’s required safety protocols. This position will require extensive travel with some overnight stays. Due to the remote nature of some facilities this position requires a valid state issued Driver’s License, and the ability to operate company provided vehicles.

 

Every day you’ll prioritize safety in everything that you do. You will be traveling to client sites, driving your Company provided truck. Servicing both ground arrays (up to 5 MW) owned by municipalities or corporations and smaller rooftop systems at some of your most recognizable retailers. Typical tasks are cleaning and testing panels, troubleshooting inverters, servicing, or updating networking / SCADA hardware/ software. You will be discussing service and upgrade options with the Regional Service Manager, and clients in the field, both on the phone and by completing detailed service reports explaining findings, actions taken and recommendations for future maintenance and upgrades.

 

  • Respond to trouble tickets
  • Develop work scopes for service work orders on repairs issues
  • Perform scheduled annual preventative maintenance services for PV systems
  • Review annual preventative maintenance service reports to identify issues that require corrective action
  • Provide feedback to the Regional Service Manager and plan the corrective action for scope of work
  • Maintain detailed expense records for all service calls including parts costs, tools, mileage, and timekeeping

 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience root cause analysis and repair of arrays and inverters; you will have learned to abide by and understand the safety requirements of the NEC electrical code, NFPA70 and OSHA 30
  • Developed expertise in PV design, installation, and/or maintenance
  • Troubleshooting experience with PV systems starting with the review of the PV System performance reports and then troubleshooting the underperformance issues as well as outages by troubleshooting arrays, inverters, and networking systems to the root cause
  • Ability applying technical requirements to commissioning, troubleshooting of solar electrical generation systems, and monitoring communication equipment
  • Experience in complying with contract terms as stated by an O&M and/or Performance Guarantee contract; specifically pertaining to the maintenance to be performed on customer sites with respect to customer safety requirements, DOJ Livescan and site access terms and conditions

What You Can Expect

As our Project Management Director, you will need to be located in the Upper Midwest US with close proximity to a major airport. You will be responsible for the oversight of operational performance and delivery of energy projects located in the Detroit Metro area and upper Midwest region.   Projects are executed through a design-build-transfer or ENGIE asset-owned model. Every day, you will report to the Regional Operations Director of Distributed Energy Solutions focusing on the industrialization of activities inclusive of operational monitoring, refinement of key performance indicators (KPIs), and process improvement to operational activities to achieve given targets. The Director will have connection and involvement within all aspects of the engineering design and operational delivery process, as well as provide performance oversight on activities inclusive of forecasting, cash management, commercial development, and the expansion of the business into new geographies and/or market segments. Collaborating with the Sales team, you will evaluate and qualify opportunities and participate in customer presentations and interviews during the development phase, including Board and Council meetings as needed. As the primary customer contact during the development and implementation phases, you will ensure complete customer satisfaction with ENGIE’s services.

 

You will manage all technical aspects of project development, including scope development, savings analysis, and constructability of measures. Assigning tasks and responsibilities within the project team, you will document project progress. You will also create, edit, and review external deliverables, such as customer reports and contract documents, as well as internal documents like risk review packages and deal review documents.

 

Partnering with Legal and Finance, you will qualify vendors/subcontractors and negotiate all customer/vendor contracts and change orders. Coordinating with ENGIE’s construction manager and vendors/subcontractors, you will establish and monitor project schedules, making necessary adjustments and communicating changes with all stakeholders. You will manage installation budgets, approve revenue and expense invoices monthly, protect project cash flow by ensuring timely customer payments, and complete monthly forecasts. Ensuring all projects are properly set up and documented in Procore throughout the implementation and at project closeout will also be part of your responsibilities. You will coordinate with post-construction teams for savings guarantees and maintenance activities, ensuring a smooth transition at the end of construction.

 

You will primarily be working with public sector customers on infrastructure, renewable, and energy conservation projects. The bulk of your work will be with municipalities, K-12, and some higher education. Your ability to consistently deliver expected results will be a testament to your effectiveness as a leader in this role; setting metrics and objectives for your direct reports that align with company strategy and financial goals are essential.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance or related field; or a combination of related experience in the clean-tech industry inclusive of time pursing related education
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Project Management or similar experience
  • A strong understanding of energy analysis as well as engineering design in energy-related disciplines
  • Proficient in analyzing ECM costs and savings, and a thorough understanding of all ECM technologies being proposed
  • Experience in the low-carbon clean-tech industry, with preference for individuals whose roles have interfaced with solutions including but not limited to solar photovoltaic, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and energy efficiency activities
  • Extensive and proven knowledge of and experience in data construction management tools
  • Proven experience setting metrics and objectives for direct reports consistent with Regional and Company strategies and team financial objectives

The Role:

This role is responsible for leading and motivating team members, including the leadership team, of the Client Success Department.  The Director, Client Success role will support and execute on the vision and strategy of the department while seeking continuous improvement for the client experience. The pay range for this role is: $111,000-$166,000.

We are currently building out our Interconnection Team's pipeline of candidates across the United States for future projects. As Manager of Interconnection you will be responsible for managing the interconnection and grid integration process to support the company's overall development and operational goals in ERCOT, CAISO, and/or MISO. Focus will be on the Company’s existing ~10 GW pipeline of utility scale stand-alone energy storage projects in, as well as new project analysis. You will be responsible for transmission-related topics including tariffs, planning, technical evaluation, negotiation of contractual agreements with utilities, and the overall interconnection process through the full life cycle of development and construction of projects.

 

Every day you will manage the interconnection process and monitor key milestones throughout the lifecycle of the project from early-stage development to commercial operation. You will also function as main liaison with project developers, and third-party consultants, on matters relating to interconnection to provide technical insight and business solutions to reduce interconnection cost and remove obstacles to project development.

 

  • Coordinate, review and interpret interconnection and transmission studies performed by utilities and outside consultants
  • Perform analysis to predict interconnection capacity, deliverability, and other key parameters to support project development. This involves expertise in load flow modeling and analysis
  • Conduct due-diligence review for potential interconnection and transmission risks related to potential projects, portfolio acquisitions, and commercial transactions; provide recommendations to the acquisition team
  • Perform transmission assessments and policy reviews to forecast future system conditions and determine commercial viability to support development and construction activities
  • Collaborate with engineering team in optimizing project’s engineering design in support of grid integration requirements 
  • Represent the Company and establish/maintain productive relationships with key utility and industry groups, regulators and other stakeholders on issues related to transmission and interconnection
  • Monitor regional transmission planning process and interconnection policy changes; participate as stakeholder in transmission and market-related regulatory activities as necessary with collaboration with the Company’s regulatory and development teams
  • Review utility transmission planning reports and present findings to the Company
  • Provide technical support for project development and acquisition activities in the evaluation of transmission system and planning issues
  • Actively monitor the progress of required system upgrades and identify creative mitigation solutions to support development of projects

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Construction, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Management, or another Analytical field required
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ relevant work experience and two (2) years of experience in transmission planning or generation interconnection at a developer or consulting firm
  • Deep understanding of the interconnection process in ERCOT, CAISO, and/or MISO 
  • Experience in transmission planning, grid operation and generator interconnection topics in ERCOT, CAISO, and/or MISO

We are currently building out our Project Development Team's pipeline of candidates across the United States for furture projects. As a Project Development Associate you will be responsible for the development of utility scale battery storage projects across CAISO, MISO, and/or ERCOT.

 

Every day in this role you will be supporting development efforts on portions of the Company’s ~9 GW of existing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in electricity markets (CAISO, ERCOT, MISO), greenfield development, and project acquisition in energy storage and renewable energy development. You will communicate complex development situations to leadership and internal groups, and work through development issues from the start of development through construction. You will travel as needed for siting, development, and commercial activities to keep development on track.

 

  • Responsible for supporting permitting, site control, interconnection matters, power marketing, design/EPC, financing, and other matters critical to the development of energy storage projects 
  • Analyze and manage information flow relevant to project development from internal subject matter experts and external consultants/vendors
  • Ownership of project inputs/assumptions and coordinating updates with respective internal groups
  • Manage project level progress, risks, opportunities, and economics while providing thoughtful analysis and risk evaluation
  • Prioritize allocation of resources based on a deep understanding of schedule dependencies and financial impacts
