En collaboration avec le Responsable du Réseaux de Chaleur, l’alternant(e) aura en charge :

 

Déploiement GMAO :

 Migration,

 Paramétrage,

 Ordonnancement des BT,

 Communication UP/DOWN via tablettes tactiles,

 Mise à jour des BT,

 Mise en place d'indicateurs : durée d'intervention, coûts, efficience des techniciens

 

Analyse AMDEC Moyens de productions : 

 Définir un stock de pièces critiques à avoir pour limiter les durées d'arrêts,

 Mutualisation de ce stock sur les 3 sites Saône et Loire (Chalon, Montceau-les-Mines, Macon).

Assistant Manager, Operations and Maintenance-Steam

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for executing and supervising the boiler operation and maintenance (O&M) activities, its related mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment, and associated systems, complying with the statutory and health-safety-environmental (HSE) requirements.
  • Oversee, supervise and guide group of boiler man to perform day-to-day boilers O&M activities.
  • Provide technical analysis and trouble shooting skills in resolving any abnormal conditions of the equipment /machine.
  • Responsible for executing / supervising the entire steam system life cycle and related O&M services activities in order to achieve the O&M service levels, performances, availability in accordance to the signed agreement and to insure the customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible of monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing the steam system performance, including energy sales, energy production and O&M activities with respect of statutory and company health, safety, and environment measures.
  • Responsible for boiler O&M Standard Operation Procedure, Method of Statement, Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessment and others documentation needed or when required.
  • Monitor boiler water or feedwater quality with water treatment chemical supplier. Ensure water treatment operations are in place c/w the water analysis data will be recorded in the log sheet.
  • Coordinate and liaise with DOSH officers in the boiler and steam header JKKP inspection.
  • Implement maintenance control system to achieve effective and productive maintenance of the machine
  • To assist in machinery and equipment maintenance, modification, installation and upgrading project.

 

Duties:

  • Manage, schedule / supervise O&M Service Provider service activities executed on the boiler sites are in accordance with the
  • Operation and Maintenance Agreement (OMA) KPIs and within the related schedule
  • Compliance with the statutory and the health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements complies with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) requirements and warranties
  • Initiate, plan and provide timely boiler monthly and annual energy production report for both internal and submission to the customer sites as well as the necessary reports to the relevant authorities,
  • Identify red flags / problems, respond to emergency calls, and develops corrective action plans, in liaison with the O&M Service Provider and direct superior
  • Maintain good relationship between clients, O&M Service provider, relevant authorities or with other stakeholders.
  • Perform studies for the feasibility and propose productivity, technical improvements for the boiler sites concerning the overall system performance, O&M, HSE processes, contingencies, and emergency plans
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and associated periodic meetings.

 

Education

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Certificate of competency as Grade 1 or Grade 2 Steam Engineer

 

Experience

  • Experience over 8 years in field for the coordination and execution of Operation & Maintenance, technical services for steam boiler systems.

 

Specific skills

  • Knowledge about boiler systems design and/or operations & maintenance, computer energy modeling, project Management software and computer aided design software (i.e Autocad or etc)

What You Can Expect

The Engineer II is a role responsible for supporting the development and installation of energy conservation measures and renewable energy with large-scale public sector customers. The right person will be working in a fast-paced, team-based environment, at the direction of the Project Manager as well as their supervisor. Responsibilities in this role include the design of Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Measures (ECM), performing site audits, specifying equipment, and completing savings calculations to support projects in development and construction. Projects include a combination of energy efficiency measures and renewable generation installations, to help local cities, schools, and counties become more sustainable, save money, and improve services to their end-users and the expectation is that one to several projects are supported from early development through post-construction.

 

This position is located in Oakland, CA and will report to the Director of Project Management.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on an engineering discipline
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience
  • Working knowledge of utility rate schedules including TOU and demand charges structures
  • Previous experience with solar photovoltaic systems, including the ability to identify different systems and equipment, identify potential energy savings measures, and quantify the potential energy savings and costs
  • Understanding of metering and measurement tools for data provided
  • Competency in computer modeling software programs, such as PVSyst or Helioscope, and apply them in preparing savings calculations and customer deliverables
  • Strong knowledge of national and California electric codes as it applies to renewables sections
  • Capability to handling multiple projects of moderate complexity at one time
  • Creativity in solving problems where solutions are not clear
  • Calculate potential solar generation quantities of various scenarios using the PVSyst modeling and Energy Toolbase tools
  • A proficiency in Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Measures scopes and specifications for subcontractor Request for Proposals
  • Knowledge of utility and other incentive program applications, permit packages and customer submittals
  • Ability to assist the Project and Construction Managers on job walks, bid evaluations, contractor negotiations, and during construction meetings
  • Capability during the construction phase of the project to assist by reviewing submittals, change orders, and RFI’s, and make recommendations to the Project Manager
  • A proficiency in computer modeling/simulation of building operation to calibrate energy consumption to utility bill data
  • Capability to work on AutoCAD to design diagrams and clear layouts for customer and contractors.
  • Ability to mentor/advise other engineers and train them on areas of expertise
  • Previous onsite commissioning of electrical systems knowledge

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 30% of the time including some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing

Compensation

Salary Range: $74,500 – $114,195 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

Our Electrical Engineer III, will be located at the University of Iowa Campus in Iowa City, IA. You will be will be involved in the Electrical Engineering design, construction, operations and troubleshooting activities for utility power, chilled water, steam, and water production and associated distribution systems at ENGIE at The University of Iowa. Your primary focus will be on becoming a subject matter expert in electrical systems at this site, with occasional support extended to other locations. You'll collaborate closely with internal departments, customers, and external partners throughout the utility projects' lifecycle, from development and construction to ongoing operations. you'll provide occasional consultancy services, aiding in troubleshooting and operations beyond the utility meter.

 

You'll be responsible for maintaining the campus-wide electrical model for both ENGIE and The University, with a keen focus on ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Your duties will extend to conducting arc flash modeling and relay coordination across all voltage levels, spanning ENGIE and The University of Iowa's Main and Oakdale campuses. You will play a crucial role in troubleshooting electrical distribution issues for ENGIE and the University, addressing concerns on both sides of the building meter to ensure seamless operations.

 

Your involvement will also encompass participating in switching plans and curtailments, working closely with our Regional Electrical Provider to ensure compliance and optimize efficiency. You'll be tasked with performing peak load calculations to enhance system performance and reliability. You'll be responsible for drafting comprehensive event summaries to document key activities and outcomes, facilitating clear communication and accountability across all stakeholders.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or another engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university

  • Either a PE License or a willingness to obtain one, showcasing your commitment to professional development and adherence to industry standards
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience where you have demonstrated a solid understanding of electrical design, power generation, distribution, and/or utility systems while gaining experience developing standards, specifications, and documentation
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Code and NFPA 70E, essential for ensuring compliance and safety in electrical systems
  • Proficiency in electrical design, calculation, and analysis tools such as AutoCAD and SKM or their competitors
  • A strong understanding of arc flash, short circuit, load flow, and protective systems design and operation, critical for maintaining system reliability and safety
  • You have participated in the development of technical specifications, procurement, installation and operations for power plant, medium voltage distribution, substations, and associated protective relaying and control  systems
  • Experienced in coordinating with external electric utilities on transmission interconnection design and operations and incident investigations and event summarization
  • Experience in assisting contracted third-party design firms of utility systems, demonstrating your ability to collaborate effectively with external partners
  • You are a skilled troubleshooter of utility and customer electrical systems
  • Up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and regulatory conditions, including utility requirements, vendor qualifications, industry best practices, safety standards, and relevant standards development

  • Proficient in verbal, written and electronic communications using tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to  create emails presentations and other professional communicate to Internal customers, vendors and other stakeholders
  • Experienced in building relationships and collaborating with project development, design, construction and operations teams facilitating smooth project execution and operation

 

 

Additional Details

  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 5% of the time with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record operation of company vehicles is required
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • This position consist of 20% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions

Compensation

Salary Range: $84,000 – $128,800 USD annually

What You Can Expect

Our Utility Distribution Planner, based at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA, plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations within our Distribution Group. The Planner's primary responsibilities include ensuring that operations maintenance technicians have access to the necessary tools and parts to efficiently complete work orders. Additionally, they support managers in scheduling maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and mitigate impacts on operations and customer satisfaction.

 

This role thrives on its dynamic nature, with each day starting with meetings across various departments within the Distribution Group. These meetings cover topics ranging from safety discussions to upcoming projects and team requirements, allowing the Planner to proactively address emerging needs. Key stakeholders include the Mechanical Distribution, Electrical, and Metering and Controls Departments, with whom the Planner collaborates closely to understand tool and material requirements, obtain quotes, make purchases, and manage inventory.

The Planner is responsible for setting up Preventative Maintenance tasks using our Computerized Maintenance Software (Maximo), ensuring their timely execution, prioritization, and assisting in the communication and tracking of planned outage schedules. Financial aspects, including expense tracking through Concur (credit cards) and Coupa (purchase orders), are also within the Planner's purview.

Beyond these core responsibilities, the Planner undertakes additional projects such as obsolete asset disposal and maintaining optimal inventory levels for both the Water Plant and Distribution Plant. This multifaceted role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving abilities to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • This role requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the maintenance or operation of mechanical and electrical distribution systems and, or industrial plant or facility operations
  • You will have learned strong communication skills, reinforcing messaging from management, being a proponent for safety both in verbally and by daily actions such as making sure that everyone has the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) that they need for daily and non-typical tasks
  • Knowledge of safety regulations associated with utility or industrial operations
  • Familiarity with materials and tools, used in mechanical and electrical work
  • Prior experience with procurement processes—requisitions, purchase orders, receiving, invoicing
  • Experience in working in a team environment as a leader and individual contributor
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of staff at all levels of an organization
