What You Can Expect

The Project Manager Advisor is the primary manager of all phases of an energy project, with the objective of successful completion on time and within budget, while maintaining quality, safety, and cash management standards, and producing strong customer references. Assigned projects will include a combination of energy efficiency measures, renewable generation installations, and various carbon reduction strategies, to help public sector, commercial and industrial customers around the United States become more sustainable, save money, and improve processes in their plants and services to their end-users. In this role, you will manage one to several projects simultaneously from early development through post-construction, including design, contract negotiations, and project implementation.

 

In addition to assigning responsibilities to the project team and establishing schedules for individual team members, the Project Manager Advisor oversees various technical aspects of the project. This includes developing the project scope, conducting savings analysis, and ensuring the feasibility of proposed measures. Collaborating closely with the Sales team, they assist in customer presentations and interviews during the project's development phase. Furthermore, they liaise with the Legal department to prepare and negotiate customer agreements and change orders, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. The Project Manager Advisor is also responsible for managing all cost components throughout project implementation, maintaining precise budget records, and promptly notifying supervisors of any necessary adjustments. Additionally, they work alongside the construction manager to establish a comprehensive project schedule with regular progress milestones, ensuring timely completion. Alongside these responsibilities, they actively engage with Accounting to facilitate monthly customer invoicing and address any payment delays or issues proactively. Finally, they ensure compliance with local labor regulations and oversee the timely completion of monitoring set-up packages and final job close-out information.

 

This position can sit in Oakland, San Jose, or Sacramento, CA and will report to the Director of Project Management.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in which you have gained a knowledge of construction management, engineering elements, and project management functions
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience, including training 
  • Proficient in financial analysis skills to predict customer project economics and manage project budgets 
  • Strong negotiation skills that protect ENGIE’s interests on a given project, while building customer and vendor/subcontractor rapport 
  • Ability to prepare and write accurate customer reports and RFX responses, with attention to customer goals and needs 
  • Capability to create and execute project development and delivery schedules 
  • Excellent adherence to schedule, and collaborative problem-solving skills to maintain budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction 
  • High standards of accuracy, appearance, and thoroughness of project documentation 
  • Ability to review engineering work across all typical energy project scope types 
  • Knowledge of contract scopes of work, and alignment with subcontractor scopes of work 
  • Ability to review and improve energy analysis performed by others for all project sizes 
  • Understands Project Engineer job responsibilities in project development 
  • Knowledge of durations and requirements of energy measure development and delivery 
  • Prepare and understand proformas 
  • Superior understanding of general construction methods and can work with the construction manager to implement the project

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 20% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

  • You have knowledge of basic principles of electricity and related terminology; an ability to read technical manuals, schematic wiring diagrams and volt-ohm-amp testers       
  • You will assist Utility Electrician III or High Voltage Electrician with operation, installation, removal, cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of 15,000 and 138,000-volt class equipment consisting of underground cable vaults, cable duels, cable racks, cables, splices, terminations, equipment grounding, surge arresters, switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, motors; assist with distribution system switching
  • You may serve as crew leader; instruct lower staff on work to be performed; assist in training other personnel
  • You will direct and inspect contractor work in the installation of permanent and temporary power sources, inspects and monitors new electrical construction work for design standard and electrical safety requirements; direct and perform preventive maintenance and overhaul of electrical equipment in utility plants
  • You will perform equipment lockout/tagout; uses test equipment (multi-amp, strobe lights, probe, megaohm meter, hi-pot) to remedy and prevent problems
  • You will overhaul motors and replace bearings; operate cranes and/or lift vehicles to move electrical equipment; maintain substation battery banks, wiring systems, annunciator panels,  3-phase meters and circuit protective relays

  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis

Compensation

Job Purpose:

As our Senior Construction Manager (CM), you will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and facilitating the construction and commissioning of distributed-scale solar and energy storage projects.   • Lead and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, overseeing development through to project closeout, including Health, Safety, and Environment program participation
  • Track and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and deliverables, including off-take agreements and EPC agreements
  • Prepare and present weekly construction progress reports, manage construction invoices and expenses, and oversee material delivery and inventory
  • Develop and implement construction safety and progress measurement KPIs, conduct regular project meetings, and coordinate with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and suppliers, to facilitate project communication and success

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction management of large, complex projects, including training and/or certifications
  • A minimum of three (3) years of project management experience, constructing solar or power construction projects
  • You possess proficiency in managing construction activities, contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders, demonstrating strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • You have comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and sequencing
  • You are experienced with hands-on use of construction equipment tools and equipment
  • You have a collaborative approach to work, with a strong attention to detail and documentation, including daily logs, KPI tracking, periodic reporting, and other standard construction management activities

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, allowing for a mix of remote work and in-office presence. For candidates in remote cities, occasional travel to our office locations in Chicago, IL or Houston, TX is required, approximately once a quarter during off weeks

As our Project Oversight Advisor, in Houston, Tx, you be responsible for the Industrial Projects Oversight and Support (IPOS) functions across the Energy Solutions Northam Global Business Unit (GBU), to supervise and strengthen the performance of Industrial Projects and the professionalism of key resources in project management. You will report to the Vice President of Operations.

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You will possess a bachelor of science degree in a technical field from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) institution or it's equivalent
  • You will have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience directly involved in project management of industrial, or energy related construction projects at an onsite level, Where you will have demonstrated your expertise by delivering projects safely, on-time, and economically
  • You will demonstrate expertise by having excellent contractual management skills, leadership, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (verbal and excellent grammar)
  • You will be the subject matter expert in the assistance of the development, implementation, monitoring, reporting updating of the North America construction project oversight.  You will demonstrate your expertise by planning, creating gap analyses’ conducting business surveys, creating procedures, scheduling training sessions, and assisting in the creation of guidelines
  • You will demonstrate your expertise by ensuring transparency across the North America major project portfolio by coordinating monthly project implementation steering committee meetings and required Major Project reporting to IPOS Global Business Unit/Paris, and support the entire portfolio, including smaller projects, through development and maintenance of efficient data gathering and reporting systems
  • Your subject matter expertise will contribute to business development during the projects approval process, ensuring sound project fundamentals, and identifying risks and challenging assumptions
  • Your expertise will promote consistency and compliance in projects through assessments, audits, peer reviews
  • You will demonstrate your expertise by facilitating the resolution of deficiencies and dissemination of findings and best management practices throughout the organization
  • You will carry out other duties related to project oversight as assigned by the Vice President of Operations

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance at the office in Houston and occasional visits to the sites across the United States
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to various office and job sites across North America; may include some international travel

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000– $172,500 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

As the Construction Management Advisor (CMA) in California for ENGIE, Distributed Energy Solution (DES) you will oversee ENGIE’s construction sites and subcontractors, provide baseline/milestone/look-ahead schedule, ensuring site safety practices, and uphold quality assurance/control measures are provided for the installations. These projects include but are not limited to a combination of energy conservation measures (ECM) and renewable generation projects such as Photovoltaic Solar, Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS), high-efficiency HVAC, Energy Management Systems (EMS), high-efficiency transformers, LED lighting, lighting control systems. Every day, you will report to the Project Director to assist the Program Management Team during the contract development and engineering design phases of such projects. The CMA will work closes with Project Management Advisors during the project execution phase to lead all aspects of delivering the project to our clients.

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in site management of construction projects paired with technical experience and or training with electrical, mechanical, lighting projects

  • Scheduling experience with Microsoft Project or other software
  • Past experience working with Project Inspectors and Field Engineers
  • Experience in construction projects, working at sites, managing subcontractors, contracts administration and change management
  • Experienced in preparing and executing Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans
  • In depth knowledge of project engineering for technical consult and QA/QC inspections
  • Ability to coordinate customer requirements for site access and security for contractors (including keys/ alarms); works with customer sites’ schedules/constraints to minimize construction impact to build occupants

  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a weekly basis
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 80% of the time
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record with the ability to drive to site locations

Quem procuramos

 

  • Escolaridade mínima ou Curso de formação profissional “Refrigeração e Climatização”, nível II ou nível III;
  • Certificação TIM III (Preferencial);
  • Experiência Fluidos Frigorígenos + Fluorados (Com credenciação - Preferencial);
