Shift Charge Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:

Shift Engineer is responsible to lead the Operations Shift Team to ensure safe operation, control and emergency handling of the RO plant during shift operations in accordance with established contractual requirements, dispatch requirements, potable water quality, cost and time objectives.

.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensures that the Potable Water from the Desalination Facility is dispatched in accordance with the dispatch instructions received from the Water Control Centre (WCC).
  • Work planning and prioritization.
  • Provides focused leadership to the shift team to achieve plant performance and ensure optimum level of water export as required by the off taker
  • Ensures shifts are well manned and required resources are available for the team to operate the plant safety, reliably and efficiently.
  • Understand plant status at shift takeover and exchanges important details to the shift team. Ensures accurate and detailed information is passed to the following shift.
  • Co-ordination among the operations and maintenance teams for routine and corrective maintenance requirements.
  • Ensures and oversees routine testing activities.
  • Oversees and monitors plant and equipment start-ups and shutdown as required.
  • Continuous monitoring and analysis of equipment operating parameters for early prediction of equipment abnormal condition and initiate appropriate action to prevent unscheduled unit or equipment outage.
  • Oversees chemical processes, sampling and water plant control for quality standards

and environmental compliance and safety.

  • Plays the role of incident commander in emergency circumstances.
  • Communication and cooperation with the Maintenance and Operation, Finance and Accounting, HR/Administration and HSE team.
  • Liaise with Maintenance to identify and follow up plant defects;
  • Understanding of WPA and OMA to ensure accurate commercial communication with WCC and/or offtaker for operational issues.
  • Responsible to make sure periodic reviews and revisions are carried out to keep all the operational procedures updated and make sure that people are trained for the changes.
  • To make sure that all relevant operational procedures and instructions are being followed so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Take active participation in all types of operation activities, diagnosis and trouble shooting of Desalination Facility.
  • Complete shift reports and data reports in accordance with the WPA, O&M Agreement and Company procedures.
  • Supports the O&M Manager in performing Incidents Report and Root Cause Analysis and recommends corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • B. Sc. Engineering/Diploma in either of Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Control Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum 4 Years for Degree and 6 Years with Diploma in the field of Water Treatment / MSF / MED / RO.
Experience in SWRO commissioning and startup will be preferred.
Experience in GCC market will be preferred.
Ability to interpret PI&D and technical drawings

Responsabilidades de la posición:

 

  • Instalar, configurar y actualizar sistemas operativos y software utilizando paquetes empresariales estándar.

Job      Purpose/Mission 

The Technical Operations section under the Operations Department aims to serve ENGIE customers with the best quality of its technical products. The Tech-Ops Repair Officer is responsible for the Incoming Quality Checks (IQC), Dis/assembly, Repair and Refurbishments of EEA K products (SHS, appliances and components) as per defined processes and procedures, for timely delivery against distribution targets. Responsibilities

 

  • Achieving targeted weekly, monthly and quarterly requirements in terms of conducting IQCs for incoming shipments, assembling new systems, refurbished items and repaired items
  • Manage and monitor accurate performance of workshop tools: Testjigs, Testers (panel, battery), Soldering stations, Flashers and Multimeters, Battery recovery machines, Inverters, Power supplies, Float & “Desulfation” stands and other related tools.
  • Maintain and improve workshop activities and facilities; follow and adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output.
  • Categorize and properly document all the tested returned system parts to ensure data accuracy (Physical and PAYGEE)

 

Knowledge and skills 

 

Experience:

  • 3 year of working experience in technical roles related to EEA K Technical Operations (Solar technology, Battery technology, Solar controllers, Solar Panels and Test equipment)
  • Hands-on experience in accurate soldering and other required repair services
  • Experience with operational improvement techniques (Kaizen and 5S, 6 Sigma, etc.) is a plus

Job      Purpose/Mission 

​The Service Network Team Lead is responsible for managing ENGIE Energy Access Kenya’s Service Network unit and assuring the best after-sales services to our customers.   • Management of the Service Network Team to ensure good customer satisfaction via on time Product Installation and Resolution of Service Tickets as per the companies’ policies and processes.
  • Accurate Documentation of Installation and Maintenance Cases through the companies Information Management Systems and Applications (Powerhub, Mysol Fix, etc.)
  • Validation of System Installations to ensure availability of GPS coordinates and traceability of customers in cases of repossessions in cooperations with the Customer Finance Team
  • Close monitoring of transport costs and commissions for all Installation and Maintenance Cases
  • Supporting of on time payroll Management for Installation and Maintenance Contractors in close consultation with the EEA K’s Finance Team

Job       Purpose/Mission 

The Loan Recovery Officer is responsible for the receivables risk management (RRM). This includes among others, Portfolio management and Loan Workouts.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out customer work-out, including the following work-out categories to be applied to customers in late repayment through calling clients who are in early non repayment categories.
  • Ensure proper documentation of open loan cases.
  • Ensure customers are paying on time in assigned loan portfolio

Job Purpose/Mission

 

The Zonal Sales and Collection Manager will oversee sales and collection in the zone under their stewardship and will be responsible for developing and managing a highly motivated sales team.

Responsibilities

 

Sales Strategy and team leadership

  • Breaking down Zonal Strategies into ward level tactics and driving implementation to achieve set KPIs.
  • Communicate monthly & weekly Sales targets and providing required support to achieve them.

  • Ensure that the teams they oversee are highly motivated.

Stock Management

  • Manage stock availability within the hubs and stock points for purposes of market development.
  • Manage stocks held by commission-based sales team in the field.
  • Periodic reconciliation of stocks in the field with the sales agents as per the policy to mitigate stock loss.

Portfolio Management

  • Manage zonal portfolio management by ensuring Customer repayments on advanced Loans
  • Manage Sales teams to ensure collections are ongoing and Portfolio is quality as per set Targets per individual.
  • Ensure the customers onboarded are reachable via the primary numbers as well as knowledge of their physical residence.

Reports/ Reporting

  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reporting on ALL KPIs as required.
  • Actively participate on monitors competition in collaboration with the Product Dev team.
  • Escalate Identified risks and define possible mitigation measures.
