Job Purpose: Mission

ENGIE Energy Access Benin is looking for a dynamic and reliable Inventory Manager with excellent record-keeping abilities to take on a self-contributor role in a rapidly growing company at the front lines of renewable energy and mobile payment technology.

 

Under the direction of the Head of Operations, the incumbent is responsible for minimizing stock losses by implementing stock control (inventory, documentation of movements) and stock management policies (storage conditions, access control, etc.). He or she ensures that adequate stock is available at all points of sale operated by the company.

 

S/he ensures that relevant members of the warehouse, customer experience and sales teams are trained to understand their roles and responsibilities in inventory management and are held accountable for inventory loss.

S/he will supervise the team of Field Inventory Coordinators, the Distribution Coordinator and will carry out regular stocktaking of all warehouses in the country (warehouse, service centers, POS, field stock).

S/he will support the field teams through training and evaluation of inventory management processes.

S/he will supervise warehousing and work with the teams to ensure compliance with 6S standards in the country's warehouses.

In collaboration with the Customer Experience, Sales and Finance teams, he/she will use monitoring tools to track and centralize stock levels at the warehouses.

 

During the inventory, he/she supervises the counting of the items and centralises the various reports in order to compare the physical stock with the stock in the digital system (SAP, Powerhub, etc.), to have any discrepancies justified by the parties concerned within the deadlines and to draw up the final inventory report.

S/he will be responsible for reconciling the stock with the ERP system (SAP) in close collaboration with the financial team.

S/he will be creative, organised, detail oriented and able to solve problems independently.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team as there will be a lot of coordination with the Operations, Customer Experience, Sales and Finance teams.

The role requires frequent travel to remote areas of Benin.

 

Key Responsibilities, Deliverables and Activities

Responsibilities

  1. Inventory management and storage space
    • Produce training materials to support the performance of the warehouse team, service centres, sales and their team.
    • Plan and conduct regular support visits to retrain the warehouse, service centre and sales teams on stock management.
    • Ensure that all warehouse, sales and service centre teams receive regular training on stock control policies and their roles and responsibilities in stock management.
    • Work with the warehouse team and the sales and customer experience team to regularly review stock management standards and processes at the warehouses.

 

  1. Inventory flow management
  • Monitor stock flows (incoming and outgoing stock in the warehouse, service centers and storage points) 
  • Use the physical and digital tracking system to control stock movements

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Operation Processes & Controls (20%)

 Stock Taking Control - Ensure that each in Gate & Out gate in the warehouses are recorded in the Books/ Power Hub with appropriate physical support for trackability.

 

  • Inventory Turnover, Reporting, Analytics & Performance Management (30%)

Ensure that the stock flow report’s Data is accurate (Warehouses PK10 & Kpondehou) = 100%.

 

  • SAP Input (40%) – Monitor and post weekly inventory consumption, weekly inventory production and weekly inventory releases/ Delivery to PS. Have the posting validated by Finance approval.

 

  • HSSE (10%)

Adherence to RG 11 (Agent/Casual worker/Intern/Employee) = 0 Variance/ Month.

 

Required Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration / Transport & Logistics. MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in progressive Logistics & Distribution sectors or in related areas.
  • Capability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and experience reconciling data across multiple sources.
  • Adopt a proactive, customer-service oriented approach.
  • Highly motivated, self-starting, positive attitude, with intense desire to work hard and make an impact by improving processes.
  • Interest in gaining knowledge about inventory, asset classes and process flow.
  • Some exposure with statistical, SAP applications and experience with tools including.
  • Skill in analyzing data to gain insight and inform decision making.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to develop relationships with key functional leads (especially Customer Finance, Customer Experience and Operations) but also with external strategic commercial & marketing partners.
  • Experience with and knowledge of methods to improve business processes to increase efficiency and quality of outcomes.
  • Experience related to managing product inventory, including inventory planning and tracking systems.

Job Purpose/Mission   

ENGIE is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Marketing Manager to play a leading role in reaching millions of customers in Uganda, extending the customer lifetime with ENGIE and establishing Mysol as a leading consumer brand. As the most senior marketing role at the national level, the successful candidate will manage the marketing department while reporting to the Head of Commercial. The marketing team will work cross-functionally with our sales, credit, customer experience, product development, operations and technical teams.

As Marketing Manager, you will be based in Kampala, Uganda with regular travel to the field. Responsibilities:  

Strategy & Planning: 

  

  • Understand key business priorities and create strategic marketing plans targeting different customer segments to help reach ambitious company goals.   
  • Continuously refine definitions of customer segments according to demographic information, media consumption patterns and existing customer behavior.   
  • Conduct internal and external research that deepens understanding of customer motivation, using the insights gained to develop behavior-changing communication materials.   
  • Create ambitious but achievable short and long-term marketing plans, maintaining the flexibility to change course quickly if necessary.   
  • Set the marketing budget and manage spending accordingly. 


Creative Production: 
 

  • Lead the creation of integrated marketing campaigns, strategic communications projects and public relations plans, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging across multiple channels. 
  • Oversee the production of quality communications to existing customers, ensuring we provide the best possible experience throughout the customer journey.  
  • Create innovative customer acquisition and retention strategies using non-traditional communication channels such as informal broadcasting, grassroots mobilization etc. 

 
Marketing Operations: 
 

  • Lead the design and execution of marketing and communications plans that deliver superior customer engagement across all channels.  
  • Oversee the roll-out of marketing and public relations plans, ensuring that all activities are carried out in a timely and effective manner. 
  • Ensure a consistent and quality brand presence across all activities, overseeing regular brand audits and material rollouts as materials develop. 

 
Management: 

  •  Manage, grow and develop a high-performing team of marketing and communications professionals. 
  •  Build the necessary data visualization or other tools to analyze the impact of different initiatives, preparing reports as needed for the Uganda and Global marketing teams. 
  •   Make data-driven decisions to iterate on marketing strategy and drive towards maximizing return on investment for marketing spend. 
  •   Lead collaboration with the Global ENGIE team and/or partners.

Nel 2022 conta oltre 1 milione di clienti per l’energia e i servizi.

La digitalizzazione, i servizi 2.0 e le soluzioni green rappresentano le strategie che la GBU Retail intende incrementare. 


Che cosa farai?
Riporterai allo Strategic Product Manager e, in coordinamento con il team Energy, affiancherai i nostri Manager nella gestione dei prodotti durante il loro ciclo di vita, raccogliendo e assegnando le priorità ai requisiti d’offerta, supporterai la vision del prodotto e lavorerai a stretto contatto con team trasversali per fornire soluzioni vincenti generando un maggiore turnover.

Quali saranno le tue responsabilità?

  • Supportare l’implementazione e sviluppo di nuove Value Proposition d’offerta (Luce, Gas e Servizi di efficienza energetica per la casa): dall’identificazione del target, alla definizione del business plan, del concept d’offerta ed il suo testing, fino alla definizione del processo di vendita e la gestione delle attività di go-to-market necessarie ad andare sul mercato;

 

  • Sviluppare dentro il team expertise elementi distintivi rispetto ai competitor;

 

  • Supportare l'organizzazione per portare i prodotti sul mercato attraverso il coordinamento delle funzioni aziendali coinvolte nelle attività ed iniziative inerenti ai prodotti gestiti (IT, Sales, Area Tecnica, Processi e partnership, Customer Service, Legal)

 

  • Gestire e aggiornare i prodotti a catalogo e la contrattualistica a supporto dei differenti canali commerciali;

 

  • Conoscere la normativa di settore, dei principali tratti distintivi del mercato energetico italiano e delle informazioni per la gestione delle attività di go to market;

 

  • Efficientare i tool per le attività di go to market con l’obiettivo di razionalizzare e snellire la filiera

 

  • Supportare ed individuare le funzionalità chiave da sviluppare per la digitalizzazione dei prodotti e servizi ENGIE;

 

  • Monitorare e analizzare i principali KPI’s dei prodotti e servizi lanciati sul mercato da ENGIE, inclusi feedback, requisiti e problemi dei clienti;

 

  • Supportare la struttura di vendita nella realizzazione e raggiungimento del piano campagne commerciali, attraverso l’ideazione ed il lancio di iniziative specifiche o di prodotto dedicati;

 

  • Supportare la definizione e l’ esecuzione del piano di comunicazione e trade marketing legato al lancio di nuove soluzioni.

  • Vei planifica și dezvolta activitățile de comunicare digitală de marketing, aliniate strategiei companiei și planului de marketing.
  • Vei monitoriza, raporta, analiza și optimiza activitățile de comunicare digitală de marketing, și investiția de promovare în mediul online (PPC, Display, Affiliates, Social Media, etc.).

Experiență, calificări, cunoștințe și abilități:

  • Studii superioare finalizate, cu diplomă de licență; 
  • Minimum 2 ani experiență în comunicare marketing digital (social content, paid media, analiza performanțelor campaniilor digitale);
  • Experiență demonstrată în gestionarea canalalor de Social Media și a comunicării online;
  • Experiență extinsă în utilizarea canalelor de comunicare digitală, a parametrilor și standardelor de funcționare ale acestora, precum și a indicatorilor de performanță aferenți;
  • Experiență de lucru cu tehnologiile, conceptele, interfețele de client de tip eCommerce web site, responsive websites, mobile apps;
  • Competențe de analiză a performanței în Google Analytics, Facebook Insights și alte platforme similare;
  • Cunoștințe solide de comunicare în marketing digital, content writing și strategie de conținut în social & paid media;

Job Purpose/Mission 

  • Financial Controller is responsible for the financial management of Mysol, overseeing all compliance related issues including tax and Audit including all deliverables, pricing and reporting tools.
  • Managing all accounting operations of Mysol, coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and reports.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial and tax strategies to facilitate, calculation, recording/recognition and timely reporting/filing and payment of all statutory dues including but not limited to – VAT, Service Levy, withholding tax, Stamp duty, Annual Turnover tax, Payroll taxes, corporate taxes all other levies including maintenance of monthly compliance checklists.
  • Responsible for the managing and maintenance of Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) related issues and providing monthly feedback and status to the Finance Manager, FP&A and the Head of Finance.
  • Responsible and a point-of-contact all direct cost of sales, including but not limited to - Cost of material, cost of licenses.
  • Manage and analyze VAT relating to sales made by the company and ensure returns are prepared and submitted on time.
  • Timely Inventory valuation, reconciliation and recording by working closely with Supply chain department to manage the impact on Cost of goods sold
  • Assist the Finance Manager, FP&A in Preparation of the CO financial statements (yearly, quarterly, monthly) and explanatory notes to the CO financials (Group and IRFS).
  • Support in preparation of a standardized CO accounting policy, processes, and procedures in compliance with national standards & IFRS and make sure they are well documented in the Mobisol accounting manual.
  • Reconciliation of the intercompany accounting (CO-CO; HQ-CO) along with other BS accounts before month end is finalized and make sure all adjustments are captured timely.
  • Analyze and interpret data to provide financial management information for decision making.
  • Audit preparation and managing the audit process by working with external auditors and prepare all the necessary schedules including the Draft FS for Finance Manager, FP&A review before the audit commences.
  • Prepare and conduct training for non-accounting time on accounting processes and policy documentation.
  • Perform General Ledger reconciliations (including bank, suspense, and other balance sheet accounts).

Job Purpose/Mission 

  • The Accountant Receivable and Reporting  is responsible for the management & reconciliation of all receivable accounts & payments from both internal and external affiliate companies working with ENGIE Mobisol UK LTD

  • Experience in maintenance of turbines, aircraft engines, derivative gas turbines or large rotating equipment is required.
  • You are fluent in English and willing to obtain basic level (A2) in French or Dutch.

YOUR CHALLENGE as a Field Technician Turbines

 

As a Field Technician Turbines, you will actively participate in various maintenance projects, overhauls and interventions. An extra challenging aspect of the job is that no two days are the same.

  • You are responsible for organizing, coordinating and performing mechanical maintenance work on industrial gas and steam turbines.
  • At the start of a new construction site, you will be involved in the preparation and, together with the expert engineers from our team, determine the approach, planning and scope of the work to be performed.
  • Depending on the project, you will either take on the role of site supervisor or the role of field technician (or both).
  • In the role as site supervisor, you will coordinate, execute and be responsible for determining resources, ordering materials and following up on them correctly and on time.
  • During execution, you will work with a team of technicians consisting of both colleagues and subcontractors.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the work required and constantly ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
  • For unplanned sites or incidents, you will participate in interventions, analyze problems and work hands-on on the turbines with the goal of resolving the problem.

Job Overview 

  • With EEA selling its products on credit to hundreds of thousands of individual customers every year, EEA’s Customer Finance function plays a key role in the success of the business. 

  • The Global Customer Finance function supports EEA’s operating entities on credit product design, workflow enhancement guidance, portfolio management tools and capacity building. 

  • Within the Credit Operations Team of the Global Customer Finance function, we work on operational standards, workflows, systems and tools for EEA’s dedicated call centers, field teams and back-office teams to help support customer repayment. 

  • The Head of Credit Operations is a senior manager in EEA’s Global Customer Finance department. She/ he has an integral role in advancing EEA’s CF function through her/ his responsibility for EEA's financial services strategy and the development and management of related credit operations as well as for motivating and managing a team of dedicated professionals. Beyond, and in close co-operation with the Country Directors, senior managers of the Commercial and Digital functions and the Head of Customer Finance, she/ he is responsible for providing leadership, spirit and skills necessary for EEA’s CF operations teams in general, and Country Heads of CF in particular, to achieve their respective targets across the business.  

  • The Head of Credit Operations and her/ his team focus on achieving both effectiveness (in terms of management of timely repayment) and efficiency (in terms of overall ROI of credit operations activities) of EEA’s credit operations across markets. The role is responsible for the deployment of adequate credit operations policies, procedures, guidelines, monitoring and reporting as well as general operational practice, case-specific action plans, team capability and capacity development within and bordering the Customer Finance function, to deliver results. 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Credit Operations: Framework, Strategy and Standards. In alignment with the Head of Customer Finance enhance EEA's business case through an innovative, effective, robust, and customer-centric best-practice Credit Operations Framework and drive its implementation to deliver results:  

    • Credit Operations Framework. Develop and continuously refine EEA's Credit Operations Framework along the principles of commercial viability, subsidiarity, customer centricity, rule-based decision-making, and data-smart digitized workflows.  

    • Credit Operations Ownership. Own EEA’s Credit Operations Framework for implementation across the business. 
    • Financial Services Strategy. Drive the process of designing, implementing, scaling, managing and continuously innovating EEA's Financial Services Strategy (PAYGo plans, arrears-type loans, education loans, cash loans, insurance, etc.)  
    • Credit Operations Strategy. Drive the process of designing, implementing, and managing cohesive multi-stage Credit Operations strategies to be applied across the business. 
    • Policies, Standards & Procedures. As process owner conceptualize, document & maintain EEA-wide Credit Operations Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other core materials in the form of a Credit Operations Handbook. 
    • Analytical Foundation. Substantiate EEA's Financial Services Strategy and its Credit Operations Strategy implementation through appropriate analytical foundation. -Credit Operations: Operational Excellence & Cross-Functional Agenda. In alignment with the Head of CF drive credit operations practice along the steps of the credit cycle:  
  • Credit Operations Practice & Execution Support. Build, manage and iterate industry-leading credit operations across all markets guided by the credit cycle, including the structure, framework, policies, systems, routines, and tools which enable Country teams to execute on agreed objectives, as well as related on-the-ground execution support. 

    • Cross-Functional Agenda:  

      • Financial Product Specs. Provide material support to Country teams in areas such as financial product design, pilot and commercial launch, policy and process, partnership management, performance review as well as customer-facing and back-end operations.  
      • Digital System Specs & Tools. Lead the CF team in translating credit operations workflow and standards into Digital infrastructure specs. 
      • Service Level Monitoring. Identify cross-functional dependencies and agree on internal service level standards and escalation paths.  

      • Commission Systems. Translate credit operations results into global guidance on training materials, performance targets, and commission systems. 

  • Localization & Configuration. Provide oversight and strategic guidance to countries in their localization strategies, processes and standards related to credit operations. 

  • Adoption of Standards. Provide leadership and direction for change management and adoption of standards, tools, and practices on credit operations as they are rolled out.  

  • Performance Reporting. Guide the framework of credit operations analysis and dashboards for real-time, accurate views of activities and their results across the credit cycle. 

  • Deliver Against Targets. Take responsibility for and manage EEA’s Credit Operations on a commercial basis against agreed budget and targets including comprehensive, specific, and timely KPI reporting. 

  • Country Level Engagement 

    • Annual Planning. Contribute materially to the annual strategic CF planning process. 
    • Action Plans. Provide direct support and guidance to EEA markets on regular action plan development to drive achievement of credit targets of the business.  

    • Turnaround Scenarios. Where needed, provide focused attention and support to underperforming countries in turnaround scenarios related to credit performance. 

    • General Implementation & Support. Provide direct support and coordination of Global Customer Finance resources for implementation of action plans and day-to-day support. 
  • One Team Development 

    • Manage Direct Reports. Directly manage, coach, and develop a high-performing, motivated Credit Operations team (currently comprising six FTE). 

    • Country Capacity, Roles & Organizational Structure. Work closely with country teams to define the organizational structure, roles, responsibilities, and capacity needed for their Credit Operations function. 

    • Credit Culture. Foster a strong, customer-centric credit culture across the operation built on credit risk awareness and understanding of credit principles. 

    • Capability Development & Training. Directly support capability development areas for global and country teams on credit operations topics. 

  • Active Participation in Cross-Functional Global Strategy & Governance, including: 

    • Monthly & quarterly business performance review 

    • Annual planning & budgeting & target setting for CF country operations 

    • Product strategy, Customer Journey, Go to Market Strategy, Digital Roadmap 

  • Internal & External Stakeholder Management 

    • Internal Stakeholder & Relationship Management. Create and maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders within country and global teams, effective lines of communication, and strong empathy for our internal customers.  

    • Internal Advocacy. In alignment with the Head of Customer Finance, represent CF’s credit operations perspective vis-à-vis other Group functions and/ or third parties and partners. 

    • Industry Engagement & Partnerships. Represent EEA’s credit operations and financial services expertise within the industry, including our partnerships in research.

Qualifications and skills 

Experience: 

  • 12+ years of professional experience in credit operations and portfolio management; work experience in Sub-Saharan Africa in the off-grid energy sector is a plus 

  • 8+ years of domain experience in credit or consumer finance operations or other data-smart lending operations based on commercial principles; exposure to individual micro lending technology and experience in data-driven and digital financial services is a plus 

  • Relevant experience in leading multi-cultural, decentral teams 

  • Proven ability and agility to perform in a VUCA environment 

  • Senior profile with commercial acumen and a can-do-attitude combining output orientation, number orientation, process orientation, customer orientation and team orientation 

  • High level of professional curiosity; elevated level of interest in how to make processes work to their best and an aptitude to investigate and crosscheck information before acting on it
