What You Can Expect

The Project Management Senior Advisor will be a part of ENGIE’s Central Capital Projects Team based at Georgetown University’s campus. This position is responsible for the planning, development and execution of large and critical capital improvement projects related to the utility infrastructure systems at Georgetown University. These systems encompass the production and distribution of chilled water, heating hot water, and steam, along with the electricity and natural gas networks. The Senior Advisor will have overall responsibility, risk-management, and accountability of the large project.


 

Daily, you will manage the project team including internal staff and external consultants with the functions required to deliver a large industrial project on time, on budget, and without health, safety, environmental, and public relations issues. You will lead construction contractors, qualified equipment vendors, suppliers, and design/engineering firms to ensure successful completion of the project as well as overseeing the design and construction contracts of heating and cooling distributions replacement, and in-building equipment retrofit with assistance from legal counsel and contracts administrators. You’ll follow and improve ENGIE’s project management and reporting processes through all phases of project development and execution. You will liaise and coordinate all design, construction and commissioning activities with related ENGIE and Georgetown University staff. Other duties include managing scope, schedule, budget forecasts, resource requirements, risk registers, and other components of the project. You are flexible and adjust to changing business and project conditions. You develop and present alternative solutions to problems, and recommend a course of action to maintain project scope, schedule, and budget. You measure project performance relying on KPI’s for engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and start-up and report monthly, identifying variances and taking corrective actions to achieve project objectives. You will hire consultants, external contractors, and internal employees to successfully complete this project and provide regular reports to ENGIE management and summary reports to Georgetown University. You provide lateral and direct management to ENGIE employees supporting the projects; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with all state, local, and university entities.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in which you have gained a foundation of Project Management skills, business communication, and effective leadership.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of proven experience in project management of large campus utility infrastructure projects or similar industrial construction projects
  • Expert level acumen in financial and contractual aspects of capital projects in addition to technical and organizational structures
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and are able to engage professionally with all stakeholders including Georgetown University faculty and students as well as staff, contractors and government agencies
  • Highly adept at multi-tasking and utilizing problem solving and critical thinking skills to manage project risks
  • Knowledge of modern project management tools such as Project, Primavera P6, Procore or competing products
  • A PMP certification or the desire to achieve one

 

 

Additional Details

  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record; Usage of company vehicles is a requirement of this role
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • This position consist of 30% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,400.00 – $198,765.00 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

As our Project Development Advisor for ENGIE Distributed Solar and Storage (DSS), you will play a crucial role in supporting site origination and development of distributed solar and solar + storage projects across North America. Business Development Support: Aid in identifying new opportunities in target states, support M&A activities, and ensure smooth transaction closures aligned with internal and stakeholder requirements

 

Team and Process Management: Lead and train the Project Development team, assign tasks, and coordinate with third-party consultants. Ensure adherence to ENGIE's internal procedures and approval processes

 

Strategic Presentations: Prepare and present detailed reviews of projects and market strategies to both DSS and global management teams

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Sciences, Economics or related field

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in energy, customer/developer-facing experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of renewable project development experience, including managing projects at various stages of the development lifecycle
  • You are conscientious and detail-oriented with unimpeachable integrity, demonstrating a team-first attitude while skillfully handling commercial disagreements with poise and professionalism across internal and external stakeholders
  • You possess a high degree of creative problem-solving acumen, particularly in renewables transactions and project development, complemented by a general understanding of renewable energy market trends and the impacts on solar project development. What You Can Expect

As our Contracts Analyst Senior, at Georgetown University, in Washington, DC, you will manage the execution of construction contracts working closely with the project team including the prime contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and equipment vendors to ensure that contract terms are understood, adhered to, and in compliance with procurement policies, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.

 

Everyday you will manage and administer contracts, specifically for construction and engineering, related to capital improvement projects for campus energy distribution systems. What You’ll Bring

  • You possess a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management Engineering, or related field
  • You have five 5 years of experience in a related field where you have provided field support during execution of capital projects which involves monitoring contract performance, reviewing project invoicing for contract compliance, tracking project milestones, and timely addressing any issues that arise
  • You have a background in construction contract development, contract management or project execution
  • You have an experience in construction projects, working at sites, managing subcontractors, contracts administration and change management
  • You have experience with contract development and/or contract administration, including an understanding of procurement procedures; along with project execution and project related tax, finance, insurance and legal issues
  • You can address Change Order requests by aligning with the Project Manager and all stakeholders, driving cost and schedule negotiations with the contractor, understanding the project’s scope, and utilizing the contractual terms to preserve the contracting plan
  • You will prepare final Change Order for signatures utilizing the proper Management of Change (MOC) procedures
  • You will provide support, strategy, and resolution to Project Managers on contractual claims and disputes, liaising and keeping informed all Project Stakeholders
  • You will maintain a structured and documented record of all capital project communications, notices, legal records, including lien waivers, bonds, claims
  • You will also support the procurement process of services and materials for successful completion of the capital project
  • You will develop relationships with project stakeholders, construction contractors, qualified equipment vendors, suppliers, and design/engineering firms
  • You will prepare project close-out documentation and final contract requirements at different milestones of a construction project including mechanical completion, substantial completion, and final completion
  • You will develop and maintain effective relationships with subsidiaries, to encourage knowledge sharing; while also establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with University staff
  • You will carry out other duties as assigned

As our Electrical & Instrument Technician II, in Golden, CO you will be responsible performing routine plant electrical/control maintenance functions including, but not limited to motors, MCCs, relays, breakers, electrical disconnects of rotating machinery, UPS/battery systems, and all electrical hand tools in-plant and/or satellite plant equipment.

What You’ll Bring

  • You have a High School Degree or GED equivalent
  • You have 4+ years’ relevant experience and/or training; licenses, endorsements or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of that experience in electrical, electronic, and pneumatic instrumentation; (steam/ electrical generation plant preferred) or graduation from a two-year electrical or instrumentation and control program
  • You have experience working with a CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System)
  • You will perform emergency plant electrical/control troubleshooting on plant equipment
  • You will install, test, calibrate, tune, program, repair and troubleshoot pneumatic, electronic-powered equipment, low/medium voltage, analog and digital process control loop hardware

  • Train and qualify as an Operator Technician at the ENGIE facilities in the Denver/Golden Colorado area

What You Can Expect

Our Substation Electrician, based at the University of Iowa campus, is responsible for installation, operation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and repairs of electric utility substation, distribution and production plant electrical equipment including but not limited to medium voltage switchgear, protection and control systems, battery systems, instrumentation, motor starters and controls.

Daily, you will install, operate, troubleshoot, calibrate and maintain utility electrical systems including circuit breakers, switchgear, protection and control systems, battery systems, instrumentation, motor starters and controls conduit, cable and wiring systems up through 15kV.  As an experienced Substation Electrician, you will determine the jobsite work sequences and safety procedures required. You will procure materials, coordinate outages, complete work and place systems back into service as well as interpret and maintain wiring diagrams, schematics, system logs, drawings and documentation on utility systems. You will need to assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of program logic controller (PLC) based auxiliary systems,  design and implement control system changes or new control schemes and advises utility staff of changes and install and configure new modules, control stations, firmware and software revisions for the utility computer-based control systems. You monitor system performance, using system interfaces, and make recommendations for system improvements. You provide functional supervision including training and instructions to other staff.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • This role requires a minimum educational level of a High school diploma / GED or equivalent
  • An Iowa Class A or B Journeyman’s or Master Electrician License
  • A minimum of two (2) years at a Journeyman level in utility systems, industrial, process or power plants
  • Expertise in electric Motor controls, station power systems, and electronic control systems
  • Knowledgeable of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems, CAD systems and their associated database management systems

The Project Management, Advisor is the primary manager of all phases of an energy project, with the objective of successful completion on time and within budget, while maintaining quality, safety, and cash management standards, and producing strong customer references. Assigned projects will include a combination of energy efficiency measures, renewable generation installations, and various carbon reduction strategies, to help public sector, commercial and industrial customers around the United States become more sustainable, save money, and improve processes in their plants and services to their end-users. In this role, you will manage one to several projects simultaneously from early development through post-construction, including design, contract negotiations, and project implementation.

 

In addition to assigning responsibilities to the project team and establishing schedules for individual team members, the Project Management, Advisor oversees various technical aspects of the project. This includes developing the project scope, conducting savings analysis, and ensuring the feasibility of proposed measures. Collaborating closely with the Sales team, they assist in customer presentations and interviews during the project's development phase. Furthermore, they liaise with the Legal department to prepare and negotiate customer agreements and change orders, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. The Project Management, Advisor is also responsible for managing all cost components throughout project implementation, maintaining precise budget records, and promptly notifying supervisors of any necessary adjustments. Additionally, they work alongside the construction manager to establish a comprehensive project schedule with regular progress milestones, ensuring timely completion. Alongside these responsibilities, they actively engage with Accounting to facilitate monthly customer invoicing and address any payment delays or issues proactively. Finally, they ensure compliance with local labor regulations and oversee the timely completion of monitoring set-up packages and final job close-out information.

 

This position can sit in Oakland, San Jose, or Sacramento, CA and will report to the Director of Project Management.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in which you have gained a knowledge of construction management, engineering elements, and project management functions
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience, including training
  • Proficient in financial analysis skills to predict customer project economics and manage project budgets
