Job Purpose 

 

  • Responsible for the analysis of ENGIE Mobisol UK LTD financials in the country and circulation of the Profit and Loss for the departments and Country offices for both credit and product in consultation with the accounting team.
  • Responsible for the implementation of key structure and process to secure comprehensive monitoring of ENGIE Mobisol UK LTD Financials to enable making informed business decisions.

 

Responsibilities

 

  1. Financial model, budget, and budgetary control
    • Management of the Country budgeting and business planning processes in close cooperation with the cost controller (HQ) & Country Management team. 
    • Providing information about costs in the past, present, and future to the department/ area manager as well as to the Senior Management and Managing Director. 
    • Preparing Country cost center actual versus plan comparisons, validation & variance analysis (monthly, quarterly, yearly, and ad-hoc as required. 
    • Implementation and improvement of controlling structures and processes in close cooperation with controlling interfaces in the headquarters 
    • Identify opportunities to optimize processes requiring internal controls recommending and developing proposed changes in policy or procedures to satisfy internal control requirements 
    • Consultation and support to management regarding business decisions and monitoring department/area unit performance against plan. 

 

  1. Treasury and Funding
    • Manage weekly cash flow report and quarter cash flow projection
    • Frequently engage with the supply chain team to understand their 12-month forward projection to prepare for stock funding
    • Work with the Accounting team to prepare and recommend payment plans for weekly and monthly cash flow and advise the Head of Finance on prudent cash flow management and cash planning. 

 

  1. Pricing
    • Manage pricing tools and ensure that the tool is up to date and all key parameters for a standard price are met
    • Constant update the management on product profitability
    • Work closely with product, marketing, and commercial teams to understand business needs that could be driven or may affect product price and product profitability
    • Verify all proposals from the business that may have a direct impact on unit profitability including commission, promotions, giveaways, bonuses, etc.
    • Regular verify product landed cost and weighted average inventory cost to ensure unit profitability is intact
    • Work with the credit team to ensure they are up-to-date on the cost of portfolio management and defaulters as it relates to Customer Finance unit contribution

 

  1. Reporting and KPI Dashboard
    • Regular review and report of Department KPIs, performance assessment vs KPIs along with related internal and external reporting 
    • Analyzing cost efficiencies and recommending on the base of this analysis adjusted key performance indicators to the department/ area manager as well as the Zonal unit and its Senior Management. 
    • Preparation and conducting training for the users of financial information and assisting in coaching the accounting team on cost center. 
    • Manage business intelligence team and ensure all business reports and dashboards are shared on time and accurately including ensuring the quality of data behind the reports
    • Ensure staff understands the context of their roles in relation to Engie’s strategy. 
    • Ensure performance consequences are taken by the line managers in your department i.e., recognize best performers and manage poor performers from time to time through both, formal and informal feedback. 

 

  1. External Partners - Mobialpha & Powerconer
    • Work together with the rest of the Finance team to ensure the external partner overall finance function is smoothly running
    • Manage correspondence with service providers and stakeholders with external partners
    • Undertaking any other duties as may be assigned by the Line Manager.

Knowledge and skills 

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant finance and operational management experience in a medium-sized company
  • Previous experience in a managerial position is an added advantage.
  • Ability and passion for Coaching and Training.
  • Strong ability in planning and organization.
  • Excellent Verbal communication skills with stakeholders
  • Excellent Presentation skills

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting or its equivalent.
  • CIMA, CPA, or CFA certification is an added advantage

 

Language(s):

  • Fluency in Swahili and English languages with excellent verbal communication skills

 

Technology:

  • Computer literate and skilled in using Microsoft 365/Office Suite Applications
  • Basic understanding of terminologies and workflows on databases e.g. MySQL, Tableau, PowerBI
  • Basic understanding of Solar Home System Business model and its key infrastructures e.g., Mobile money collection infrastructure, EVS,

¿Qué tareas realizarás?

  • Identificar, registrar, controlar y coordinar las interfaces del Proyecto con los Stakeholders internos, el Cliente y la Contratista.          
  • Elaborar las especificaciones técnicas requeridas para la contratación de servicios y trabajos para el Proyecto. Incluyendo la elaboración de planos.
  • Coordinar y abrir permisos de trabajo con áreas operativas en instalaciones existente, incluyendo el procedimiento LOTO con Operaciones y la Contratista.                              
  • Promover y asegurar el cumplimiento de la política, cultura, procedimientos, formatos y estándares de ENGIE.                                                                                   
  • Supervisar los trabajos priorizando la seguridad, el cuidado de los activos y del medioambiente.                                                                                                
  • Revisar y aprobar los permisos especiales de trabajo de alto riesgo eléctrico y realizar el control operacional de los trabajos.                                                                                   
  • Planificar y gestionar las modificaciones y cambios (MOOC) y coordinar su aprobación, implementación y cierre.                                                                         

 

¿Qué habilidades técnicas necesitamos para esta posición?

Indispensable:

  • Ingeniero(a) o bachiller de ingeniería en las especialidades de Electricidad, Mecánica Eléctrica o carreras afines.                                                                        
  • Experiencia profesional mayor de 8 años y en el puesto mayor a 4 años en instalaciones industriales de energía y/o minas.                                                                             
  • Experiencia en montajes eléctricos, electromecánicos, switchgears, transformadores, cableados en baja, media y alta tensión.                                                                          
  • Capacidad de revisión de ingeniería a nivel conceptual, básica, detalle y de construcción MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point y Outlook, nivel intermedio                    

Deseable:                                                                               

  • Diplomado en gestión de proyectos y/o PMP                                                                       
  • Dominio de Ms Project y Autocad a nivel intermedio.                                                          
  • Deseable con Inglés Intermedio.                                                                               
  • Comunicación efectiva y capacidad para redactar informes técnicos, correos de respuesta, reportes y presentaciones.                                                                                  
  • Conocimientos de supervisión, LOTO, trabajos de alto riesgo, normas y buenas prácticas de seguridad, salud ocupacional y medio ambiente.                                                         
  • cuente con algún curso de manejo de 4x4 y/o manejo defensivo.

Job Purpose/Mission 

The Technical Support Specialist role will ensure the provision of superior customer service throughout the business, through the maintenance, enhancement and efficient operation of IT functions. Additionally, the role will include responsibility for ensuring the security and integrity of IT operations and systems. 

The Technical Support Specialist will work closely with the Global Digital & IT team where escalations are required, including issues of a security nature or where additional expert advice and assistance is required. 

 

Responsibilities 

 

  •  Provide first point of IT Support contact for Uganda staff, covering all computer workstation hardware, software and associated peripherals. 

  • Deploy computers and associated peripherals including new installations and redeployment of existing equipment to defined standards. 

  • Troubleshoot technical issues to resolution and/or escalate to colleagues, suppliers or partner organizations as required. 

  • Log all incidents and service requests in EEA’s designated service desk system, where necessary log issues on behalf of EEA staff. Manage service desk tickets, planning and prioritizing systematically to minimize backlog and ensure operational efficiency. 

  • Be a part of the distributed IT Specialists team across all EEA markets and provide this service for the other countries should the need arise. 

  • Review vendor contracts and coordinate IT-related purchased (hardware, software and services) to ensure effective deployment or solutions aligned with both user needs and EEA standards. 

  • Direct and coordinate the local implementation of EEA Uganda IT operations, projects and programs, ensuring alignment of IT services with the business needs of the area(s) and adherence to established project management principles and best practices. 

  • As a key member of the distributed EEA IT team, lead security initiatives, education and resolution programs to enhance and maintain EEA’s security profile within the overall ENGIE group. 

Technical: 

  • Security: Ensure system and data security is maintained at a high standard, ensuring the integrity of the EEA network is not compromised. 

  • Monitoring: Work with colleagues to monitor performance of EEA systems, ensuring that issues are appropriately escalated and resolved. 

Interpersonal: 

  • Customer Service: As the internal customer-facing IT representative, work with all users to ensure that they have the tools to do their work effectively and are knowledgeable in the use of those tools. 

  • Communication: Effectively communicate with Uganda staff at all levels to keep them abreast of news and events related to IT services and how they may be impacted. 

 

 Knowledge and skills  

 

  • At least 4-6 years relevant IT/industry work experience. 

  • Relevant Microsoft or equivalent certification 

  • Excellent technical knowledge of PC/Mac hardware

  • Network infrastructure experience, including routers, switches and firewalls 

  • Active Directory administration 

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (English)

THE ROLE

 

Providing support and advice to all aspects of the business, including engineering and project works at all our locations.   The role will maintain and improve existing quality, environmental and health and safety (QEHS) management systems to ensure full compliance with all applicable statutory, regulatory and Company standards and targets.

 

To ensure that QEHS issues are incorporated into all business decisions. To develop a positive and proactive QEH&S culture and productive working relationships across the organisation.

 

There may be a requirement to provide QEHS supervision at weekends and nights during periods of high activity and high hazard potential.

 

ABOUT YOU

 

You will hold a Level 6 academically recognised qualification or above relating to health and safety and have, or be working towards Chartered membership of IOSH (CMIOSH).  You will also have an IEMA Foundation Certificate.

Job Purpose/Mission 

The Regional Commercial Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth in the entire region as per the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals. He will be responsible for growing and managing a healthy customer portfolio in their region, enforcing good customer relationship management and hitting loan recovery targets.  

This crucial position has many important operational responsibilities, including: motivating and monitoring the performance of your Sales Team and Field Training Team; directly managing and coaching team leaders and Field Training Managers; investigating any issues affecting the repayment rates in your region e.g. fraud; managing stakeholder relationships within your region; and bridging the information gap between the field and HQ, with the overall aim to deliver commercial excellence and overall business growth. 

The role will report to the Uganda Commercial Performance Manager, and they will work closely with our field development, marketing and customer finance teams.  The Regional Commercial Manager Manager will also share best practices with teams in other regions as we work to improve commercial operations across Uganda. 

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Business Optimization: 

  • Manage overall business performance of allocated region, define and implement strategies to grow business and recover declining performance. 

  • Credit Risk Management: Ensure your region maintains a healthy portfolio, with most customers trending towards completion – and quickly investigate on the ground and react with a change in strategy when customer repayment falls below acceptable levels.  

  • Coordinate the implementation of the marketing initiatives while ensuring we get maximum return on investment for all the costs we incur in areas of marketing.  

  • Propose new polices to iterate business strategy, as per the context of different regions   

  

  1. New Point of Sale expansion and Brand footprint: 

  • Lead in the regional expansion by ensuring the retail network in your region grows with the help of an Area Retail Coordinator hired under each Team leader. 

  • Keep an eye on competition within your region and ensure you take adequate measures to protect and grow our business from competitive pressures.  

  • Pro-actively inform your leadership team and take measures to ensure My Sol remains a paramount brand name in solar products for your area.  

  • Design working strategies for getting >80% of Point of Sales delivering >150 sales per month. 

  • Prospects and Map potential sales locations, neighborhoods and towns to boost footprint and baseline structures. 

  

  1. Recruit, Train, and Mentor regional teams:  

  • Recruit and Train Sales field team (Team leaders and My sol champions) (in existing and new areas) about Sales strategy and processes, ensuring High quality cohorts . 

  • Use multiple avenues for finding the right talent to sell our products with the help of village influencers such as the village heads, teachers, religious heads, doctors, farmers and others, as applicable.  

  • Provide complete clarity to the regional team related to their day-to-day tasks, sales & collections plans, routes and targets. 

  • Manage performance and Coach low performing sales field team (including Agents) 

  

 Knowledge and skills  

  • >5 years sales experience within a progressive sale and/or financial services environment or rural environment, with at least 3 years in management role, leading large teams   

  • Experience in Data-Driven Decision-making process  

  • Strong communication skills  

  • Experience working in rural areas  

  • Experience managing a commission-based sales team  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & Google Apps
