Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Information Systems Security Officer to play a crucial role in enhancing our cybersecurity measures. Based at the Dinorwig Power Station in the heart of Snowdonia, you will work closely with our engineering, production, and business departments to ensure the power stations are always ready. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

 

*You must be eligible to work in the UK and have been a resident in the UK for the last 5 years. This role will be subject to National Security Vetting.*

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage a cybersecurity system based on ISO27001 standards.
  • Monitor cybersecurity within projects, ensuring necessary actions and measures are followed.
  • Lead the monitoring and management of Information Security risks.
  • Collaborate with ENGIE Information Security Teams to develop strategies for securing industrial assets in line with internal policies and external regulations, including NIS regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
  • Internationally recognized certification in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA).
  • Prior experience in managing industrial cybersecurity.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex IT security solutions.

What You Can Expect

As the Project Developer you will be responsible for the development of utility scale battery storage projects across the market. In this role you will support the development of existing pipeline, new greenfield development, and project acquisition. Efficiently communicate complex development situations, and work through development issues from the start of development through construction. Travel as necessary for siting, development and commercial activities as required to keep development on track.

 

Every day in this role you will be responsible for managing and supporting permitting, site control, interconnection matters, power marketing, design/ Engineering, Procurement, Construction “EPC”, financing and other matters critical to the development of energy storage projects throughout CAISO.

 

  • Manage/analyze information flow relevant to project development from internal subject matter experts and external consultants/vendors
  • Ownership of project inputs/assumptions and coordinating updates with respective internal groups
  • Manage project level progress, risks, opportunities, and economics while providing thoughtful analysis and risk evaluation
  • Drive decisions and prioritize allocation of resources based on a deep understanding of schedule dependencies and financial impacts
  • Maintain a rigorous understanding of the overall state of the energy storage market in CAISO, including regulatory and competitive matters, to inform development decisions
  • Track project progress through key development milestones, managing schedules and budgets, and coordinating across disciplines within the Company
  • Manage and/or support due diligence activities for acquisitions
  • Manage negotiation of lease/purchase options and agreements for site control
  • Coordinate engineering activities in pursuit of permits and as required for interconnection matters
  • Work closely with engineering team in support of design and EPC process

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Construction, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental, Science, Management, or another Analytical field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CAISO or other Independent System Operator “ISO” with energy storage or renewable energy development
  • Familiarity with relevant state, county and city codes, procedures and regulations required by local planning and building departments
  • Experience preparing, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements including development agreements, site control agreements, consulting and service agreements, interconnection, and power sales agreements
  • Ability to manage a large workload across a large portfolio, while prioritizing tasks and effectively managing competing deadlines

 

Additional Details

  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 30% of the time with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $100,800.00 – $161,000.00 USD, annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Position Summary:

The Field Operator will be responsible for the local operations of the plant to ensure it meets the required availability, reliability, efficiency, generation and cost targets, safely and within strict environmental limits. This will include regular equipment start-ups, shutdowns, changeovers and regular operation/ monitoring, as well as responding to alarms and emergency conditions. The role requires a detailed understanding and practical experience of the technologies associated to operating a modern Gas Turbine Plant, Desalination plant and wide range of auxiliary equipment.

 


Functions/ Task:        

Safety, Quality & Environment

  1. Responsible to ensure compliance of IMS. Perform all operational activities in line with the safety management system and environment management system.
  2. Responsible to perform the assigned duties and other duties in-line with implementation of safety rules.
  3.  Provide monitoring for the ongoing maintenance jobs on assigned areas.
  4. Reporting of unsafe conditions and behaviors.

Plant Operations

  1. Conducts routine plant checks i.e. plant round ups and completion of log sheets.
  2. Perform operational actions under direction from the CRO (i.e. Valve operations, switching on/ off pumps or resetting the local alarms etc) to avoid any abnormal plant operations or to correct existing abnormalities.
  3. Prepare plant for start ups in accordance with approved operations procedure.
  4. Performs plant shut down and extended shut down preservation of plant routines in accordance with approved operations procedure. Performa manual intervention actions during trip conditions and maintain close supervision to ensure and maintains close supervision to ensure safe run down of plant.
  5. Practical application of safety rules performing safe plant isolations from the system to allow routine maintenance activities. De-isolates and restores plant equipment safely to the system.
  6. Perform routine maintenance activity on the plant such as lube oil top-up, filter replacement and other operational activities.
  7. Support CRO during emergency situation.
  8. Carry out the sample analysis of the plant process steam water cycle in cases where chemist is not on-site and on Demin water, distillate, portable water and other samples.
  9. Monitor and evaluates performance of various plant system and equipment.
  10.  Responsible for maintaining safety and housekeeping of the plant.
  11. Initiates routine operational activities.
  12. Complete the field operator’ skill matrix and work as acting CRO and take complete charge of power and desal blocks as CRO.

Maintenance Activities

  1. Perform lube oil top up as required on plant equipment.
  2. Perform routine site inspections on routine basis to regular update plant equipment status.
  3. Carry out dewatering routine in specified areas of the plant as required.

Raising Work Orders Regarding Defects and Abnormal Conditions

  1. Raise service request in system for defects and coordinate with Shift Engineer for approval.
  2. Assistance to maintenance personnel to pinpoint equipment defects when necessary.

Management of Plant Chemicals:

  1. Responsible for changing over of chemical tanks.

Maintaining Water Quality

  1. To ensure the export quality of potable water to meet with WHO guidelines and potable water quality standard set in Agreement.

Policies & Procedures

  1. Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carries out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Communications & Working Relationships.

  1. Daily communication of plant operational issues and defects with the CRO and Shift Engineer and other team members.
  2. Daily co-ordination and cooperation with CRO and Maintenance Staff for routine and emergency operational and maintenance activities.
  3. Follow the shift hand over protocol and communication protocol as per the approved procedures.

Technical:

  • Specific knowledge of: Cooling water chemistry, GT Evaporative Coolers, Closed Cooling Water system, HRSG, Multi Effect Desalination (MED), Distillate/Potable Water quality, DM plant Operation & Regeneration and related monitoring/dosing control

What You Can Expect

As our Area Lead Technician you will be responsible for managing field response for reactive and planned maintenance activities of select operating assets in Houston Texas surrounding area.  This position will also serve as a key company representative for maintenance scheduling/coordination with internal teams as well as 3rd parties. This field-based position will work across departments to communicate updates and will require frequent travel, primarily to facilities in Houston, Texas area. Candidate must reside within 1 hour of South Houston area facilities.  

 

Every day, you will be responsible for managing the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to ensure the plants are operational. You will coordinate with various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), internal and external maintenance partners, and provide hands-on troubleshooting for on-site technical issues. Additionally, you will perform deviation detection and mitigation for the operating battery plants.

 

You will communicate with internal departments, including High Voltage, Performance Management, Asset Management, and Remote Operations teams, to report issues, address needs, and support issue resolution by coordinating with internal teams, OEMs, and EMS providers. Furthermore, you will support reliability improvement plans by collaborating with in-house and third-party technical engineering staff.

 

Reporting to the Field Services Manager, your primary duties encompass:

  • Oversee internal field service team for regional sites
  • Coordination with various OEMs/internal/external maintenance partners
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of on-site technical issues
  • Performance deviation detection and mitigation
  • Communicate with internal departments for reporting any issues or needs
