YOUR CHALLENGE as a Process Optimisation Manager 

  • You supervise the collection, processing, and analysis of data from our network of green energy-powered electric vehicle charging stations in Belgium, as well as market data.
  • You coordinate the development and implementation of optimization strategies based on in-depth data analyses to improve the selection, availability rate, and economic performance of our charging sites.
  • You support ENGIE Laborelec experts in evaluating and developing innovative technology solutions focused on optimization.
  • You monitor and evaluate the performance of optimized processes.
  • You are part of a human scale team, supporting commercial and technical divisions, and reporting to the Head of Performance of Vianeo Belgium.
  • You clearly and impactfully share the quantitative results of your optimization work with the team and management, both orally and in writing.
  • You participate in modeling bodies at the Vianeo Europe level, sharing best practices and targeting efficient mutualization.

 

YOUR PROFILE as a Process Optimisation Manager 

  • You hold a degree in engineering, computer science, operations management, economics, or a master’s in a related field, with a strong interest in electric mobility and its technologies. Initial experience in optimization within the electric mobility sector is an asset.
  • You are passionate about improving financial and operational performance through data analysis and are familiar with analysis and visualization tools such as Python and Power BI.
  • You are results-oriented and take initiative to achieve defined performance objectives, with particular attention to the users of our services.
  • You adapt quickly, with a strong desire to learn and develop.
  • You have good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present analyses clearly and concisely, at least in English and French (proficiency in Dutch is an asset).
  • You work easily in a team and are agile in collaborating with commercial and technical teams.
  • You are capable of coordinating multi-month projects, including leading, motivating, and supporting a project team of 1 to 5 contributors, with good resource and deadline management.

  • Support BD team in the late stage development phase in preparation to the execution of the projects. 
  • Lead the EPC contracts negotiation and completion from technical and project execution point of view. 

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent 
  • At least 10 years of project and site experience in utility scale power generation projects 
  • Extensive knowledge of renewable energy sources, construction of power plants and associated technical and contractual understanding

Job Purpose:

The Data Center Facilities HVAC Technician is responsible for ensuring that all Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. The Technician serves as an expert technical resource reporting and interacting with onsite Engineers and any third-party vendors. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks and Daily visual inspections on major data center equipment.
  • Daily checking healthiness of all facilities equipment’s and keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  • Repair and maintenance work on a wide range of HVAC (DDC, BMS, Control system), Plumbing & ELV equipment.
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility Mechanical systems.
  • Maintain, operate all Mechanical/HVAC related systems and associated equipment, Mechanical equipment, building management system.

Job Purpose:

The Data Center Facilities BMS/DCIM Operator is responsible for supervising and controlling the operation of the Building Management System (BMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) System. This role includes monitoring all systems, including but not limited to electrical, ELV, fire/life safety equipment, HVAC plant activities, and ensuring the data center operates at optimum efficiency. The operator must maintain, monitor, and report system faults, alerts, alarms, and any anomalies related to BMS/DCIM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate BMS & DCIM systems, including alarm response, alarm resetting, adjusting setpoint parameters, and reporting faults to the repair team.
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure proper operation of equipment under BMS/DCIM control.
  • Provide high-level customer service to clients and site personnel.
  • Audit monitoring system performance daily using built-in tools such as data logging, plant review, and alarm manager status.
  • Handle help desk services for reactive calls, answering calls in a professional manner.
  • Work in a 24/7 shift rotation (days and nights).
  • Monitor and record HVAC and electrical system values to create a database for energy efficiency improvements.
  • Follow protocols in case of technical issues or unexpected problems.
  • Monitor and verify operation of all BMS/DCIM field devices.
  • Adjust BMS settings and parameters based on load, environmental conditions, and customer needs.
  • Generate maintenance data reports as required.
  • Maintain job card documentation for alarms, system changes, and equipment updates.
  • Oversee fire detection alarm systems, including smoke detectors, heat detectors, sprinklers, and emergency exits in coordination with the Safety team.
  • Monitor water tank levels, air handling units, fresh air handling units, fire pump systems, motors, sewage pumps, electrical systems, and water systems.
  • Perform daily health checks on facility equipment and maintain logs.
  • Create incident reports and job cards as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures.
  • Support after-hours facility needs and activities as required.
  • Attend training sessions and seminars.

What You Can Expect

As our Senior Project Manager, at Georgetown University, you will support and manage Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) in buildings that reduce energy consumption and help Georgetown move towards a 40% reduction in energy use by 2031.The ECM Project Manager will be a part of the Georgetown Energy Partners (GEP) capital projects team based at Georgetown University’s campus. This team is responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the campus. Projects range in size from $100,000 to $25M, over the span of 1-5 years.

 

Every day you will work with the University stakeholders, ENGIE colleagues, and ENGIE contractors, including engineers, architects, construction firms, and other contractors to develop and execute projects. You will also facilitate the review of mechanical designs – as well as the permits – that support the long-term energy reduction vision for the campus. You will report to the ECM Program Manager.

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical engineering or a relevant degree (such as Electrical, Civil or Industrial Engineering)
  • You have a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in a project management role, where you have gained expertise in construction management, stakeholder management, permitting, design and / or building automation systems (BAS)
  • You have expertise in financial and contractual aspects of capital projects involving both internal and external organizations
  • You will be responsible for assignments within the ECM Program that will include scope development, estimates, stakeholder management, contracting, cost development, cost tracking, project execution, commissioning, and closeout
  • You will utilize existing and develop new budgets and cost tracking devices. Provide input to long term financial planning.  Issue contracts, contract change orders and process invoices

  • You will manage the relationship with university stakeholders during the audit, development, and execution of capital projects

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or in a technical field from an ABET institution or equivalent in demonstrated experience
  • Minimum of Five (5) years’ experience in management of construction for industrial or municipal projects with demonstrated success
  • You have advanced understanding of design, construction and operations of thermal plants; and sound knowledge of campus and/or district energy systems
  • You have experience demonstrating strong familiarity with DC construction codes and permitting requirements of the Department of Buildings (DOB) and, the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection (DLCP)
  • You know how to prepare and execute Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans for Capital Improvement and Efficiency projects 
  • You feel confident partnering with assigned Project Engineer, which is usually an external contractor, to develop a project procedures manual.  This reference shall provide the framework for construction addressing mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation & controls and administrative fundamental requirements. Coordinates with Project Engineer for technical consult and QA/QC inspections
  • You are comfortable sharing opinions on constructability through the review of Contractor plans, determining if special operator access or maintenance provisions are required
  • You know how to develop weekly reports on construction progress for Project Manager; inform the monthly management report
  • You know how to develop and oversee the Construction Risk Management Process
