She/ He will join our Business Development Team, as SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPER/ PROJECT MANAGER, with the focus on development of renewable energy projects. In this role, you will identify new business opportunities in renewable energy, understand profitability drivers, coordinate projects to maturity, and present them to the ENGIE Romania top management for approval, manage projects and interact daily with internal and external stakeholders.

What you will do:

  • You will identify new RES project opportunities (greenfield or ready-to-build) in line with the company strategy;
  • You will analyze these opportunities from profitability point of view, propose improvements, grow projects up and be part of the team which will implement them;
  • You will perform opportunity pre-feasibility, cost-benefit and comparative analyses by reviewing the technical studies in order to select the projects that will be implemented;
  • You will prepare the portfolios for the investments committees in order to obtain the necessary approvals for the project developments;
  • You will coordinate the project team’s activities according to agreed timeline;
  • You will allocate resources in alignment to the direction given by the management;
  • You will come up with solutions to the problems that may appear on the project, based on a high degree of business acumen;
  • You will write, revise, and control the requirements, specifications, business processes and improvement recommendations;
  • You will identify new partners and will lead negotiations with them (developers, shareholders, sponsors, etc.);
  • You and the Procurement department will coordinate the contractor selection process as well as the negotiation of the service contracts;
  • You will develop a good relationship with the stakeholders;
  • You will present the project results in front of the various committees during the key-stages of the project;
  • You will contribute to the reporting activities of the department;
  • You will have a coaching role for your more junior colleagues;

 

 

Desired education, expertise, and skills:

  • Technical (electrical engineering) or economics degree;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience (BD, Project Management in the energy sector – project implementation, production technologies, energy market);
  • Previous proven experience in renewable/ clean energy sector;
  • A good knowledge of the energy market (market design, relevant legislations);
  • Previous M&A experience is desirable;
  • A firm grasp on business and market trends;
  • Advanced user of English language;
  • Decision-making capabilities;
  • Structured thinking;
  • Good negotiation skills;
  • Communication, presentations and public speaking abilities;
  • Management skills;

Siamo alla ricerca di una risorsa da inserire in Stage presso la nostra sede di Bari nell’ambito della Global Business Unit Renewables, con il ruolo di Operation & Maintenance Support.

La Global Business Unit Renewables si occupa di progettare, installare e gestire impianti di produzione energetica da fonti rinnovabili, in particolare, eolico, fotovoltaico e agrivoltaico.

L’obiettivo sfidante della GBU Renewables è di triplicare, entro il 2030, la capacità installata da fonti rinnovabili raggiungendo i 2 GW.

 

Che cosa farai?

La risorsa selezionata sarà inserita all’interno del team di O&M e riporterà all’Operation Manager e ti occuperai di supportarlo negli aspetti legati alla gestione amministrativa, alle procedure, ai contratti con i fornitori, normativa di settore e interventi per la gestione degli eventuali guasti, della manutenzione predittiva e delle procedure necessarie per il ripristino del funzionamento.

 

  • Supportare l’Operation Manager nella gestione amministrativa, contrattuale e nella pianificazione di tutte le attività relative alla gestione degli impianti utility scale (eolici, fotovoltaici e storage);
  • Supportare nelle diagnosi predittive in campo su trasformatori in olio/resina, cavi AT/MT, generatori elettrici, quadri, etc.
  • Supporto per la manutenzione correttiva sui principali componenti dell’impianto fotovoltaico/eolico e delle sottostazioni At ed MT in caso di failure;
  • Supportare nella manutenzione di apparati elettrici e meccanici di sottostazione, stalli AT/MT trasformatori AT/MT, quadri MT/BT, sistemi ausiliari e di controllo, etc.
  • Collaborare nelle indagini di guasto (Root Cause Analysis) su apparati elettrici AT/MT/BT.
  • Supportare nella predisposizione dei Disciplinari Tecnici e delle Specifiche Tecniche di gare per l’acquisto di beni e servizi legati alla gestione di impianti a fonte rinnovabili;
  • Supportare il team dell’O&M nella gestione dei sinistri;
  • Applicare le procedure aziendali della business line Operation & Maintenance e dell’HSE;
  • Redarre report quotidiani attraverso gli applicativi aziendali.

La Global Business Unit Renewables si occupa di progettare, installare e gestire impianti di produzione energetica da fonti rinnovabili, in particolare, eolico, fotovoltaico e agrivoltaico.

Recentemente è stato inaugurato il più grande parco agrivoltaico d’Italia, un impianto innovativo che concilia tecnologia e ambiente, consta di 120 mila pannelli fotovoltaici, con una capacità installata di 66MW. L’impianto, sito tra Marsala e Mazzara del Vallo, produrrà energia rinnovabile per la rete nazionale italiana e per le attività di Amazon

L’obiettivo sfidante della GBU Renewables è di triplicare, entro il 2030, la capacità installata da fonti rinnovabili raggiungendo i 2 GW.

 

Che cosa farai?

Riporterai all’Operation System Manager, in coordinamento con il team Operations&Maintenance, gestirai la supervisione e il telecontrollo di tutti gli impianti della GBU Renewables e gli interventi previsti dai contratti di manutenzione (impianti eolici, fotovoltaici, storage e relative sottostazioni AT e MT). Inoltre ti occuperai di gestire gli eventuali guasti, le attività di manutenzione predittiva, la redazione della documentazione necessaria relativa alle performance e agli eventi accaduti sugli impianti e le procedure necessarie per il ripristino del funzionamento.

 

Quali saranno le tue responsabilità?

  • Seguirai l’operatività della Control Room e degli apparati installati presso gli impianti di produzione;

What You Can Expect

As an Augmented Maintenance Project Support (AMPS) Technician or Traveling Solar, Wind, Bess Technician, your role involves providing onsite support services in the central region of Texas and surrounding areas. You’ll be responsible for project commissioning, inspection, troubleshooting, analysis, maintenance, repair, and upgrades of operational assets. These assets include wind turbines, solar panels, BESS storage technology, and high or medium voltage substations. Your focus will be on optimizing generation availability, improving operational reliability, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Reporting to the Director of Field Services (AMPS), you’ll deliver reactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance support, adhering to NERC requirements for inspection, testing, and documentation. This encompasses a wide range of equipment, from wind turbines and solar inverters to batteries, weather stations, PV arrays, breakers, transformers, regulators, capacitors, and reactors.

 

As an active participant in the behavior-based safety program, ensure that all team members and contractors comply with safety procedures and task-oriented job safety analyses. Communicate and enforce site safety rules through Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and meetings. Demonstrate procedural compliance in site operation and maintenance by following established procedures. Facilitate daily work, including report production. Inspect, operate, and repair site equipment both directly and remotely. Coordinate High Voltage (HV) switching and curtailments with local utilities and the Independent System Operator (ISO). Maintain site equipment to the highest standards for availability, reliability, efficiency, and profitability. Use work planning skills, schedule activities, and follow up to ensure work conformance. Conduct routine inspections, prepare oil analysis samples, and use safety tools and personal protective equipment (PPE). Manage on-site work coordination among contractors and vendors, support technology upgrades, and maintain cleanliness. Comply with contractual and legal obligations impacting plant operation. Provide equipment operation training to contractors and other site employees. Consistently apply Job Safety Plan techniques, hazard controls, and permits to work (LOTO) when addressing plant abnormalities and equipment failures. Utilize computerized Work Order, Purchase Requisition, and Receiving software.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum two (2) years diploma in a technical program where you have learned AC/ DC electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors or Equivalent Military or Trade school
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Solar generation sites, Battery Energy Storage Systems, (BESS), Wind generation sites, Utility scale power plants, Sub-station POI, or Controls & Instrumentation Maintenance. Renewables Solar and BESS construction experience or commissioning power plants a plus
  • HV Experience. Trades qualifications and certifications acceptable: (HV Lineman, Electrician, Substation Technician, or Controls Technician)
  • Obtain AVO certification or equivalent as substation technician within 12 months of hire date
  • Be proficient in using and maintaining SCADA systems

  • This is a field position requiring daily travel to client site(s)
  • Must be available to travel domestically to other solar plants for emergencies and assist with outages up to 70% of the time

  • Accountable for compliance with all applicable environmental and permitting requirements for projects during development, construction and operations 
  • Responsible for scoping, contracting and managing consultants and contractors for permitting, environmental and regulatory services 
  • Oversee the implementation of environmental surveys including, but not limited to: biological resources, vegetation resources, wetland and stream delineations, cultural resources, and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
