The working environment

You will join the Business Development & Sales Team of the Business Stream SMR & International and report to the Business Development & Sales Director. The main mission of the team is to develop and commercialize worldwide the global services in Nuclear and in the field of Small Modular Reactors. You will take a key role in achieving our ambition to boost our internationalization and diversification.

Your function

• You participate in the Sales activities (prospecting, bidding, negotiating…) of the Nuclear Entity on the international market, targeting new clients and ensuring sustainable growth of the business with our regular customers. You participate in the diversification of our activities in all nuclear applications and in particular in the SMR field;
• You are responsible for the promotion of services and the development of our business in a dedicated geographical or product area, working jointly with our Business Managers;  
• You are responsible for offer preparation, offer submission and commercial negotiation up to contract signature. You prepare the offer jointly with the concerned Product Manager and a Technical Bid Manager;
• You are responsible for or participate to prospection activities;
• You ensure market watch and effective interaction with the Tractebel regional offices of the target countries / products assigned to you;
• You take care of the contacts with the clients and partners in close collaboration with the Business Managers.

Your profile 

• You hold a Master’s degree from an accredited engineering and/or business university
• You have minimum 3+ years of experience in the engineering sector ; an experience in Nuclear is an asset
• You have experience or a strong interest in sales and/or business development 
• You have an excellent command of English, and a good knowledge of Dutch and/or French. Knowledge of other languages is welcome.
• You are good at listening to customers and anticipate their needs.
• You are a natural communicator (both oral and written) and are able to explain complex topics in understandable language to your different stakeholders.
• You have strategic thinking and negotiating skills.

Thermal Hydraulics Engineer

Work environment 

Within the ‘Safety and Nuclear Engineering’ department of the Global Business Area NUC of Tractebel Engineering, the CFD & Accident studies Group is in charge, among others, of the following disciplines:
 

• Licensing Studies (SGTR, FWLB,…); 
• PWR Plant Operation Support;
• Computational Fluid Dynamics;

 Mission 

• You are in charge of performing Licensing Studies;
• You perform complex thermalhydraulic engineering analysis in the domain of nuclear reactor systems using industry-standard methods and simulation tools (e.g. RELAP5/Mod2, CATHARE or any equivalent recognized software);
• You defend your work to the Customer and the Safety Authorities;
• You write technical reports about the studies performed;

Qualifications - Internal

Profile 

• You obtained a Master in Nuclear Engineering or a Master in Physics;
• You have around 3 years in analysing Design Base Accidents (Class III and Class IV) and you are being familiar with international codes and standards;
• You have knowledge of the nuclear domain;

YOUR CHALLENGE as a Measurement and Control Technician (M/F/X):

As a measurement and control technician, you play an important role in the operation of our thermal power plant. You actively participate in various maintenance projects, overhauls and interventions. Because of these varying activities, no two days are the same.

• Both through our operators and SAP, faults within the field of instrumentation and automation are reported to you.
• You will be responsible for problem analysis and work with our team to identify the problem.
  • You will diagnose defects.
  • You are responsible for preparing the repair yourself:

Radioactive Waste Management projects ensure the efficient transfer of already produced and future waste to ONDRAF/NIRAS, in line with the decommissioning waste strategy.

What exactly does your job consist of?

As Radioactive Waste Project Manager you will take on the above projects in close cooperation with the Decommissioning team, internal stakeholders and external stakeholders. 
And this under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager, the Operational Fleet Waste Manager or the person in charge of the Waste Department.
You will be responsible for the execution of the assigned project scope according to the defined and approved timing and budgets, reporting on progress to your hierarchy and applicable project committees.

ENGIE Electrabel works together with ONDRAF/NIRAS and the FANC on the technical processes and modalities to achieve efficient transfer of the radioactive waste (RaW: Radioactive Waste) produced and to be produced. 
This includes both the operational waste from operation and the waste from decommissioning of the nuclear power plants.
 These activities are managed on the ENGIE Electrabel side in the Fleet department under the direction of the CDO (Chief Decommisoning Officer) which covers both the "relations" with ONDRAF/NIRAS (NDRaW department = Nuclear Decommisiong and Rad Waste) and the technical decommissioning project (D&D program) itself.

The NDRaW department is responsible for the contractual, technical and financial management of all radioactive waste flows resulting from ENGIE Electrabel's operations, cessation and dismantling activities. This management fits within the legal and regulatory framework with the highest priority for nuclear safety and with great attention to efficiency.
ONDRAF/NIRAS' surface disposal project for cat A waste is in the final stages of obtaining its nuclear operating license. This entails increasing coordination and consultation to define the technical and financial modalities for collection, transfer, temporary storage and final disposal of the RaW from ENGIE Electrabel.
 For ENGIE Electrabel as the largest Belgian RaW producer, this is a crucial issue.

"Water" is one of the product lines of Tractebel, specialised in port engineering and waterway infrastructure. The technical competences within our team cover the complete range of marine infrastructure: quay walls, locks, jetties, dikes, port expansion etc. Our team designs projects from feasibility, over conceptual and detailed design through owner's engineering, in close collaboration with our national and international clients.

To tackle the exciting challenges that lie ahead, we will strengthen our team with a motivated Design Engineer with a passion for steel and marine structures.

Your mission 

• You will be a player throughout the execution of our marine and civil infrastructure projects;

• You will take the lead in the design and calculation of steel structures from concept study to execution;

• You dimension steel structures following current Belgian and European standards, legislation, codes of practice and internal guidelines;

• You are creative in looking for structural solutions to specific problems, taking into account design and budget;

• You will be part of a multidisciplinary project team of engineers and draftsmen for projects with a strong focus on projects in marine and civil infrastructure;

• You will prepare designs (preliminary, basis, tender, detailed) for marine and infrastructure projects such as:  lock doors, jetties, gate valves, barrages, flood protection structures, bridges, etc.;  

• You take on a role as a design engineer of the project and coordinate with and coach our junior engineers and CAD designers;

• You follow up and verify the drafting work with the CAD designers;

• You develop your technical skills (SCIA Engineer, Ansys, …);

• You ensure knowledge development and sharing related to your expertise and coach junior engineers;

• You keep up with standards, new techniques and developments in your discipline;

Your profile 

• You are a qualified Master of Science in Structural Engineering with a Major in ‘Construction Design’ or ‘Dredging and Off-Shore Engineering’ or ‘Marine Engineering’

• You have at least 5 years of relevant technical experience in the design and engineering of steel structures and infrastructure projects such as bridges, port infrastructure, lock doors, barrages, sheet piles, anchors, jetties, or large civil infrastructure works, including calculation on structures;

• You have experience in designing steel elements in complex 3D structures

• You have an understanding of the applicable construction techniques and are eager to keep your knowledge in line with current methods.

• You have extensive knowledge of current Belgian and European Design Standards, legislation, codes of practice (ISO, EC, NEN, EAU, SB250, SB260…) 

Software knowledge

• You possess expertise in modelling with SCIA Engineer or equivalent software. 

• You have proficient knowledge of standard computer programs including spreadsheets and word processing. 

Languages

• A thorough knowledge of Dutch is essential and good knowledge of English or French is an important asset.

Werkomgeving

Voor een groot civieltechnisch project met overwegend betonconstructies en diepe funderingen zijn wij op zoek naar een dynamische procesmanager om de efficiëntie van onze bedrijfsprocessen te verbeteren. In deze rol bent u verantwoordelijk voor het evalueren van de efficiëntie en de kosten van gevestigde processen met onze aannemer, het ontwikkelen van verbeteringsstrategieën en het faciliteren van veranderingen. Het kan ook nodig zijn dat u procesdocumenten bijwerkt en efficiëntieaudits uitvoert.
Om in deze functie succesvol te zijn, moet u een grondige kennis hebben van ons business, uitstekende communicatievaardigheden en het vermogen om meerdere teams te coördineren. Uiteindelijk is een topklasse procesmanager in staat om belangrijke processen te identificeren en te verbeteren, waardoor personeelskosten, productiekosten en productietijden worden verlaagd.
 

Taken 

• Vergaderen met de opdrachtgever, de business managers om bedrijfsdoelstellingen te bespreken/af te stemmen.
• Analyseren van de efficiëntie en kosten van bestaande bedrijfsprocessen.
• Identificeren van gebieden die voor verbetering vatbaar zijn.
• Maken en presenteren van procesverbeteringsrapporten.
• Toezicht houden op de implementatie van nieuwe bedrijfsprocessen.
• Aansturen van verbeterteams en externe aannemers.
• Problemen oplossen en verbeteren van nieuwe processen.
• Bijwerken van proces- en procedurebeleid.
• Het uitvoeren van voortdurende analyses van processen in overeenstemming met de industriële regelgeving.
• Registratie en administratieve opvolging van de teamleden.
• Op de hoogte blijven van de nieuwste technologie en verbeteringsstrategieën.

Profiel

• Master in Engineering, business management, process control management, of vergelijkbaar.
• 4+ jaar ervaring als procesmanager.
• Diepgaande kennis van relevante industriële processen.
• Vermogen om kostenbesparende maatregelen en verbeteringsstrategieën te identificeren. 
• Kennis van bedrijfsbeheersoftware. (Systems engineering)
• Uitstekende analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden.
• Het vermogen om projecten te coördineren en meerdere teams te leiden.
• Uitstekende schriftelijke en verbale communicatievaardigheden in het Nederlands
• Vaardigheden in het schrijven van rapporten en procedures.
• Moedertaal Nederlands (vereiste) met een goede kennis van het Engels
