Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a skilled Solar Asset Manager to oversee the performance and management of our solar energy portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, optimizing asset performance, and maximizing the financial returns of solar projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and analyze the performance of solar assets to ensure optimal energy production and efficiency.
  2. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance asset performance and reliability.
  3. Manage relationships with third-party service providers, including O&M contractors and performance monitoring services.
  4. Conduct analysis and reporting on asset performance, including budget forecasting and variance analysis.
  5. Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and implement technical improvements.
  6. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  7. Prepare regular reports for stakeholders on project performance, risks, and opportunities for monthly review meetings with the management.
  8. Assist in the acquisition and due diligence processes for new solar projects.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and market conditions.
  10. Should be well versed with DSM and other regulations.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree.
  • 6 to 8 years’ Experience with project management and O&M practices in the solar industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in project management and change management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong commitment to quality and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

The Partnership Management Senior Contracts and Reporting Analyst, located in Houston, TX, is an integral part of the Partnership Management Team. The number of partnerships will expand alongside our rapid growth.  We expect to place in service approximately 2 GW/y over the next decade with the expansion into new ISOs and new technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of key reports to partners, including yearly budgets, board materials, and monthly operating reports
  • Coordinate cross functionally to respond to partner inquiries and ensure budgetary compliance with partnership agreements
  • Implement tools to track and automate compliance and reporting processes
  • Develop a strong understanding of partnership agreements and communicate key contract terms, including contract briefs effectively within the organization
  • Participate in partner board meetings, including recording minutes, and assist in marketing new projects to potential partners
  • Collaborate with other teams to build out effective document retention policies and electronic file structure

 

 

What You Will Bring

Compensation

Portugal is one of the key countries for ENGIE, which is present through its GBU’s Renewables, Thermal and Supply and Energy Solutions, with 2000MW of operating renewable assets, 800MW of operating thermal assets and significant growth ambitions in solar, wind and other renewable technologies, as well as in batteries.

The function’s objective consists in converting this ambition into a concrete portfolio of projects, providing high-standard business development services from origination and throughout the project development cycle until the execution of the project, ensuring viable and profitable renewable projects in accordance with ENGIE Renewables GBU guidelines and business strategy, and providing support to business development activities of other ENGIE GBU’s in Portugal. The Business Developer – Technical and Contracting is expected to provide particular support in the origination, design, optimization and contracting (including construction and LT O&M contracts) of the projects.

 

Responsibilities

General

  • Develops an in-depth understanding of opportunities for up-scale of renewable energy business to identify and develop feasible and profitable projects from Origination to Financial closing.
  • Contributes to the definition and permanent optimization of ENGIE’s renewables development strategy in Portugal.
  • Contributes to improve BD procedures, methods and documentation.
  • Keeps up to date with industry policy, legislation, technologies, best practices and competitors, and shares with the wider team on issues affecting the energy sector, business development and ENGIE’s activities in Portugal.
  • Produces the necessary documentation of, presents, and gets approval for, the projects in compliance with ENGIE’s governance.
  • Timely and adequately reports on the progress of the project pipeline and individual projects.

Pre-development phase

  • Develops relationships and liaises with authorities, regulators and utilities, identifying and nurturing the institutional relationships with relevant local / regional / national stakeholders, developers, contractors,
  • consultants and advisors that may enhance the development of project opportunities.
  • Originates opportunities which best serve the R-GBU’s ambition and development strategy in Portugal, being greenfield development, co-development or acquisitions.
  • Fosters an in-depth understanding of the regulatory framework to identify and promote the most efficient business development strategy.
  • Proposes the best structuring approach to successfully develop the opportunities identified.
  • Elaborates the project’s development plan, budget and resources allocation (internal and external), and secures the resources necessary to achieve project success in a cost-effective way.

 

Development Phase

  • Manages development projects in a time and cost effective way, in compliance with ENGIE’s governance and guidelines, and in accordance with obtained approvals.
  • Monitors and/or performs all necessary development activities, including land rights prospection and contracting, technical and environmental studies and works, grid connection solutions, EYA, project design for different stages of development (licensing, procurement, construction), always taking into consideration the ENGIE Group Business Case Guidelines
  • Permanently focuses on project optimization, including technical solution, production yield, capital cost and other cost or return optimization opportunities, in close collaboration with ENGIE’s experts.

Qualification

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Business Development and / or project management.
  • Robust knowledge and experience of the Portuguese energy regulation and Business Development processes.

As a Wind Technician II, you will operate and maintain the site, optimizing wind generation performance while prioritizing health, safety, and environmental compliance.   • Garantir, num contexto de equipa dedicada e especializada na condução remota de centrais de produção renovável com especial relevo nas grandes hídricas, a definição de requisitos para desenvolvimento, melhoria e manutenção de ferramentas operacionais, de desenvolvimento de negócio e de dashboarding, procurando automatização e melhoria de processos, análise e de reporte.
  • Assistência operacional da equipa, na operação quando necessário, tomada de decisão e comunicação com entidades externas e internas;
  • Monitorização do desempenho técnico dos ativos de produção (indicadores de performance e de monitorização técnica e elaboração de relatórios de exploração), numa lógica de melhoria contínua da performance operativa;
  • Análise e seguimento proativo de ocorrências e incidentes de exploração, numa perspetiva de erradicação do modo de falha ou do risco de recorrência;
  • Análise e seguimento proativo de variáveis críticas com identificação de desvios de funcionamento ou de resultado;
  • Colaboração no desenvolvimento e melhoria contínua das ferramentas de gestão analítica das explorações;
  • Colaborar proactivamente no desenvolvimento dos algoritmos a implementar no Centro de Telecomando e no sistema de análise de Informação para cálculo de grandezas de exploração.

 

 

 

Quem procuramos

  • Mestrado em Engenharia Eletrotécnica
  • Experiência de sistemas de geração, transmissão e distribuição de energia, bem como de sistemas de telecomando e ferramentas associadas, designadamente as correlacionadas com operação remota de ativos (SCADA, RTU), de controlo e proteção e outros atinentes com a referida atividade.
  • Experiência e/ou conhecimento em mercados de energia e serviços de sistema (preferencial)
  • Experiência e/ou conhecimentos de operação de telecomando de centrais de produção energia renovável , incluindo os fatores de eficiência e eficácia económica e ambiental das explorações (preferencial).
  • Experiência e/ou conhecimentos de sistemas e ferramentas de comunicação industrial (MODBUS, IEC 60870-5-104, entre outras) (preferencial)
  • Experiência em gestão de projeto e gestão de stakeholders
  • Experiência de trabalho em organizações matriciais (preferencial)
