What You Can Expect

As our Asset Management Advisor, you will be responsible for managing key site contracts, including utility, management, storm, and bonds. You will validate the specific operations budget for the site, particularly large expenses determined by the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) agreement. Additionally, you will work closely with the client, O&M team, and construction team to validate and invoice major service topics such as dismantling and reroofing. This role is critical in supporting the construction, delivery, and project control teams, who are actively involved in the daily exchanges with on-site personnel constructing new assets. This position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Director of Commercial Operations, Distributed Solar and Storage.

 

  • Invoicing and Budget Management: Initialize site invoicing, budget yearly site expenses, and ensure accurate accounting for site cost elements
  • Document and Maintenance Oversight: Manage the site document database and validate non-standard maintenance
  • Portfolio Management: Coordinate and communicate with customers (e.g., co-ops, major retail operators, utilities), handle transversal site topics (invoicing, hedging, Solar Renewable Energy Certificate (SREC), landowner management, insurance), and report on these topics
  • Regulation and Reporting: Maintain knowledge of regulations, prepare commercial presentations for partner meetings and monthly reports, and communicate activities through dashboards
  • Financial Management and Analysis: Estimate monthly volume and price for revenue accrual, collaborate with accounting for proper accruals, set up and execute internal controls, and report on energy margin, P&L, and cash for operating companies

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related field

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of Business Administration were you gained experience of business operations, management, strategic planning, economic theory, market analysis, or financial systems
  • You are proficient in Advanced Excel; familiarity with SAP (S4, Analytical Cloud, Fiori) and Salesforce is advantageous
  • You have experience in the renewable energy industry, particularly with photovoltaic solar arrays and/or battery energy storage systems
  • You possess strong analytical, initiative, adaptability, hands-on, and problem-solving skills
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with senior leadership and major customers

Additional Details

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $157,500 USD annually

What You Can Expect

As our Project Management Director, you will need to be located in the Upper Midwest US with close proximity to a major airport. You will be responsible for the oversight of operational performance and delivery of energy projects located in the Detroit Metro area and upper Midwest region.   Projects are executed through a design-build-transfer or ENGIE asset-owned model. Every day, you will report to the Regional Operations Director of Distributed Energy Solutions focusing on the industrialization of activities inclusive of operational monitoring, refinement of key performance indicators (KPIs), and process improvement to operational activities to achieve given targets. The Director will have connection and involvement within all aspects of the engineering design and operational delivery process, as well as provide performance oversight on activities inclusive of forecasting, cash management, commercial development, and the expansion of the business into new geographies and/or market segments. Collaborating with the Sales team, you will evaluate and qualify opportunities and participate in customer presentations and interviews during the development phase, including Board and Council meetings as needed. As the primary customer contact during the development and implementation phases, you will ensure complete customer satisfaction with ENGIE’s services.

 

You will manage all technical aspects of project development, including scope development, savings analysis, and constructability of measures. Assigning tasks and responsibilities within the project team, you will document project progress. You will also create, edit, and review external deliverables, such as customer reports and contract documents, as well as internal documents like risk review packages and deal review documents.

 

Partnering with Legal and Finance, you will qualify vendors/subcontractors and negotiate all customer/vendor contracts and change orders. Coordinating with ENGIE’s construction manager and vendors/subcontractors, you will establish and monitor project schedules, making necessary adjustments and communicating changes with all stakeholders. You will manage installation budgets, approve revenue and expense invoices monthly, protect project cash flow by ensuring timely customer payments, and complete monthly forecasts. Ensuring all projects are properly set up and documented in Procore throughout the implementation and at project closeout will also be part of your responsibilities. You will coordinate with post-construction teams for savings guarantees and maintenance activities, ensuring a smooth transition at the end of construction.

 

You will primarily be working with public sector customers on infrastructure, renewable, and energy conservation projects. The bulk of your work will be with municipalities, K-12, and some higher education. Your ability to consistently deliver expected results will be a testament to your effectiveness as a leader in this role; setting metrics and objectives for your direct reports that align with company strategy and financial goals are essential.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance or related field; or a combination of related experience in the clean-tech industry inclusive of time pursing related education
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Project Management or similar experience
  • A strong understanding of energy analysis as well as engineering design in energy-related disciplines
  • Proficient in analyzing ECM costs and savings, and a thorough understanding of all ECM technologies being proposed
  • Experience in the low-carbon clean-tech industry, with preference for individuals whose roles have interfaced with solutions including but not limited to solar photovoltaic, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and energy efficiency activities
  • Extensive and proven knowledge of and experience in data construction management tools
  • Proven experience setting metrics and objectives for direct reports consistent with Regional and Company strategies and team financial objectives

Located in the Southern California Region, the Photovoltaic (PV) Technician will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of numerous solar projects, primarily smaller-scale public works projects. As a PV Technician, your primary responsibilities include maintaining the performance of each photovoltaic project, responding promptly to trouble tickets, and performing corrective actions while maintaining detailed service reports. You will develop work scopes for repair issues requiring subcontracted assistance, conduct annual preventative maintenance services for PV systems, and use a field mobile application for accurate record keeping. You will review annual service reports to identify and plan corrective actions with the Regional Service Manager.

 

In this role, you will also be responsible for performing corrective repair services, maintaining detailed expense records, and creating and refining reporting systems for management. Other tasks include re-commissioning, site inspections, and any additional duties assigned by the manager.

 

You will work closely with the Regional Service Manager for daily tasks and directions and provide on-the-job training to apprentice electricians, helping them develop into safe, productive journeyman electricians. Ongoing communication with the Regional Service Manager regarding field activity status is essential.

 

Your work will predominantly be on prevailing wage projects, and all project work must adhere to the O&M and Performance Guarantee contract terms, especially concerning customer safety requirements, DOJ Livescan, and site access terms and conditions.

  • Must be a California Certified Journeyman Electrician

Your day typically begins with a brief meeting to review priorities, discuss any plant updates, service requests, or staff observations, and plan the day's tasks efficiently and safely. Interacting with a diverse range of customers on campus, including students, faculty, and staff, is integral to this role. Professional and courteous communication to explain service and repair processes or address site safety concerns is part of daily interaction.

Your responsibilities encompass performing preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of High-Quality Water equipment, including water softeners, reverse osmosis and deionization systems, stills, filtration systems, distillation systems, and ultraviolet disinfection systems. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining large plant equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, and compressors. Monitoring and maintaining chemical injection systems and piping systems, which may be composed of PVC, copper, steel, or other materials, is also a crucial aspect of your duties. Electrical troubleshooting skills are essential, involving tasks such as checking voltage to pumps, switches, and motors.  Other routine duties include flushing equipment and piping systems, replacing filters, and conducting equipment inspections. Documentation of completed preventative maintenance work, repairs, and other tasks using our computerized maintenance management system (Maximo) is essential.
